The bloodweb grind is pretty bad.
And only gets worse with every new character. Getting everybody to level 40 for their perks takes hours, and with 22 Survivors & 20 killers, getting all perks takes millions of bloodpoints and many hours of playing.
Don't get me started on prestige, I don't even have more than 2 characters Prestige 3 Level 50.
-
I started playing DbD in October, and I'm extremely lucky that the shrine had Discordance, DS, BBQ, and (old) Hex: Ruin during those times.
I imagine it's very frustrating that newer players haven't gotten too many good things recently. Especially with the Tomes, which make 50% of the shrine very predictable.
Over half of the Stranger Things perks have never appeared, not even once. And that DLC is almost a year old now.
-
imo, Coal Tower is probably the most balanced map in the entire game, but Gas Heaven is my favorite map.
-
I would love the ability to sell any item for half of its Bloodweb value, no, even if it was only 20% of the original value it would be a welcome addition.
The grind in this game is huge, and selling items would be a huge help to prevent some of that. I doubt the devs would spring for it though, because it would halt the grind/need to play a lot.

I just wanna say that without the existence of NOED, Survivors would never cleanse dull totems again. Gens are done extremely fast nowadays, and they'd be done even faster if NOED was not a possible threat. It is the only thing keeping dull totems as a "secondary objective."
I've seen this basement idea spring up a few places recently, and I definitely support it.
It would be great to have a totem counter on Small Game and/or Detective's Hunch, but the lit candles in the basement would be a useful & neat totem counter.
-
Team Fortress 2 had a replay system like this, where you could see the recorded clip from every players perspective. It was really cool and there's some old videos that use the system really creatively.
It would be really nice to see replays in DbD, either for funny/cool moments, or gameplay review.

For Ghostface:
The silver mask slightly reflects the world, so it is a little bit more difficult to spot the mask as apposed to a white one.
The classic Ghostface shroud is more black than the default outfit and the floating strips/cloth is a little bit harder to see. The prestige outfir is like this but to a lesser degree than the classic shroud.

I got Adept Deathslinger today thanks to the new MMR giving me worse survivors, and I'm very glad I never have to use Gearhead again.
I think Gearhead would be useable if it lasted forever until the survivor(s) you hit (from the 2 basic attack requirement) were back to the healthy state. Shame that it has such a cool perk icon and name, despite being a pitiful 30 seconds.
Right now, Gearhead is just a worse version of Ruin + Surveillance.
edit: I didn’t realize how bad of an idea that was until now, because of potential tunneling and stuff, but Gearhead still needs a hearty buff
-
I'm not quite convinced yet, I think Leatherface downing people would be better than a chainsaw that works like Feral Frenzy.
It's really sad that all the killer's bloodpoints addons are bad, except maybe Deathslinger's.
-
There's no copyright on mythical creatures like sasquatch/yeti/bigfoot/abominable snowman.
I think it would be cool, and the design team could get really creative with it.
-
My main is Jake, but Dwight is my favorite regardless.
-
Taking one for the Team: get 250 protection hits for recently unhooked survivors.
This one's a pretty substantial number, and it's basically an unsafe unhook, which should be avoided if you can, even if you have BT.
Left for Dead: repair the last generator and escape from the exit gate as the last survivor.
I think they changed this so that you only have to finish 1 gen, but even then, it's very hard to do unless the killer gives you hatch and you persuade them to let you do a gen.
Evil Incarnate: kill all 4 survivors in Tier 3 Evil Within
Blood in your Mouth: kill 25 survivors
I'm kind of joking, but it took me several hundred hours before I got this, because I rarely use moris
Where did They go?:
I'm not even gonna explain the 4-person hatch escape achievement, that one's basically impossible without a squad.
-
Jeff should get an outfit to reference The Big Lebowski. You could wear the outfit normally, or use the bathrobe with the crown, and be Jesus.
-
At max level, it's 90 seconds after an unhook, and you can get more than just 1 heal from that depending on the situation. It's quite good, but people use BT more.
-
If you play both sides you'll know how ######### it is to get tunneled or camped.
Because of my survivor experiences, I feel pretty guilty when I off someone extremely early. I try to avoid camp/tunnel, but I don't go too crazy with following the survivor rulebook.
-
Thanks for posting that. It looks like I'll miss a few things, but it was less than I thought I'd miss
-
Technically no, but the purple tombstone takes you out of tier 3 after killing someone, and it would take an enormous amount of time to stalk to tier 3 four separate times.
So yes, you'd need to use both pink addons for it to be possible in a real game.

We have made a decision to unlock the following cosmetics for all players on PC & Console.
- The Huntress: Hound Mask (Howling Grounds)
- David King: Untamed Donkey Jacket (Howling Grounds)
- Kate: Free Song Bird Slip Dress (Scorching Summer BBQ)
- The Hillbilly: Pro-Pain Hammer (Scorching Summer BBQ)
While we do understand that some players may feel disappointed by having us award these items to people who may not have taken part in these events, we believe that we do this in the community's best interests.
To put it simply: there is no way for us to verify who earned these items legitimately, as they weren't stored in the same way we currently store items. Since then, we have reworked our storage system and item tracking and made sure that if a similar issue occurs, we should be able to easily restore items.
Legacy items
The difference between the Legacy items and the event items is that Legacy was earned before a major rework of the Bloodweb system. To award Legacy to the rest of the community would severely alienate and undermine that part of the community that has been with us since 2016.
We are all too aware that users who earned Legacy and suffered a loss of progress will be incredibly disappointed with this news. To those users: we offer our deepest apologies and hope you understand why this decision has been made.
It looks like it's just items from Howling Grounds and the Summer Barbecue events

So far, I've only played 6 games on the new map, 1 as killer, 5 as survivor.
At first, I didn't like it, but I'm slowly learning the tricks on that map. I gotta say, it's mostly killer sided with the amount of unsafe pallets, like in Hawkins.
-
Every other achievement from the patch is working on Steam, but Healthy Obsession isn't.
-
The Witch would be an interesting pick, and one of the only ones with a feasible power. I imagine it would be some kind of stalking mechanic that makes the Witch angry.
As for maps, the port from The Sacrifice finale would be very cool, a mix of indoor segments and streets. It would be a little bit like Haddeonfield in that sense. There's even generators from the L4D map that could be guaranteed spawns, like a main building gen.
For survivors, I think just legendary outfits for Bill would suffice, but Coach would also be a good addition.
-
With the exception of the 1st tome, the characters have been 2 free, and 2 DLC characters.
Tome 2: David/Jane, Doctor/Spirit (doctor is free on console versions)
Tome 3: Dwight/Kate, Huntress/Legion
For tome 4, it might be Nea, Meg, Jake, Ace, or Feng because they're all free. And the other might be Adam, Jeff, Yui, or Zarina.
This prediction is just based on the other tomes, there's nothing confirmed except that licensed survivors won't be on the tome.
-
Hopefully they change their mind, Ash vs Evil Dead is a horror-comedy and Ash is in the game. I still have a glimmer of hope.

What is even the point of having clothing rarity? Isn't it like the devotion number?
In the store, items are priced according to their rarity. But that doesn't affect the ultra-rare ones because they're free for everyone.

90%
I got 5 questions wrong and it was mostly for characters I didn't own or play.

My thoughts on this are coming from a regular No Mither user. There are many circumstances where while injured, if one remains calm and keeps running to a minimum, leaving no blood trails makes it extraordinarily easy to elude the killer, especially when fresh off a hook.
If a survivor were to run Iron Will, Calm Spirit, and Lucky Break (which I have done), then the odds of the killer finding that injured survivor out of a chase would be so small, it borders on unbalanced.
For a killer not running any tracking perks whatsoever, the injured state provides the only minor cues available to a killer to try and find survivors and get into fresh chases.
The Lucky Break timer exists to remove the probability that a survivor build can be equipped that would remove absolutely EVERY facet of killers tracking in their base kits.
This is a very good point, but I feel that it would be acceptable because the survivor is spending 2, 3, or maybe even 4 of their perk slots to be untrackable (besides scratch marks) while injured. A healthy survivor already makes very little sound, and doesn't bleed.
For a killer with no tracking perks, it would be like searching for a healthy survivor, and that situation happens plenty of times.

It should be permanent.
But because perks need to have 3 tiers, this now needs some second part to it with numbers, for leveling.
If Lucky Break was permanent, I imagine it would be like Iron Will, with level 3 making no blood trails, and level 1 & 2 just reducing the blood pools dropped per second.
The hemorrhage status effect would hopefully work the same way that Stridor and Iron Will interact, with a survivor still bleeding, but less often than normal. (however, No Mither currently has no blood pools, even if you're affected by hemmorage)

Padded Jaws, Speed Limiter, Child's Drawing, The Beast - Soot.
Moderate or hard nerfs on a killer's power, and all the addons do is increase bloodpoint gain. Some of the addons only affect a specific score event, so you're taking a weaker power for a handful of more points. Sorry that I included more than one, but all the point addons are pretty much the worst for every killer.
Edit: I forgot that The Nurse has multiple of these addons that increase points but make the power worse.
-
Yes, I use it a fair amount on some of my survivors, just knowing the general area where a totem is good. It only takes like 5 seconds of searching as long as I know what tile it's in.
-
Hotline Miami is my dream license of Dead by Daylight, since there's so much violence in the games I'm sure they could make a killer out of it if it was a DLC.
-
It means they're a crossplay user. Right now, the only crossplay is between Steam and the Windows Store version of DbD.
-
Now that the idea of Legendary Outfits exists, a Ghostbusters character seems a lot more possible.
Which Ghostbuster would be the default skin though?
-
For Bill, every playable Left 4 Dead survivor would be really neat. If we could only have 1, then it should be Coach though.
-
How will Blood Pact work if multiple people use it? Would it to be possible to have 1 obsession and 3 people who can see them?
-
Hopefully it's something like reduced bloodweb costs that stacks with each level. If you P3 a character and get every perk, it's not cheap. If stuff cost less, prestige would look more inviting to people.
-
Even if it wasn't specifically the movie The Mummy, any Egypt thing would be cool, Anubis, or a Mummy.
Public-Domain characters like Dracula or Frankenstein's Monster would also be cool.
-
I would make the maximum more than 3, maybe 9. And have more than one appear every day, just to increase the overall amount of bloodpoints one can earn.
-
I want to see more Tapp players, they're probably the least common survivor to spot, I even see Adam more often.
-
I think it's a pretty solid perk, sometimes there's more than 1 survivor and someone else vaults first and gets the aura instead of the person I decided to chase.
-
The game's story for Ghost Face is definitely my favorite.
He's a charismatic reporter that commits the very same murders he writes about. Stalking his victims for weeks, planning the perfect murder, then killing them with no evidence. Then he skips town and does it again somewhere else.
-
There are two perks that can help locate totems:
- Small Game, which alerts you to Killer's belongings if you're looking in their direction (totems, traps, etc.)
- Detective's Hunch, which briefly shows auras of items when a generator is done (chests, totems, generators)
-
1: If a hook is broken, it will repair itself in 30 seconds, unless they have a toolbox addon to increase the time. If they're using the perk Breakdown, it lasts longer than 30 seconds.
2: Spine Chill activates whenever the killer is looking in their direction, even if the killer has the Undetectable status.
-
The survey several weeks back had a few questions about ideal Rift rewards and items. Some of the answers on the survey had alternate animations and emotes as a choice.
I know Rift #3 is already visible on the PTB, but here's hoping!
-
Only if we get bonus cosmetics with Frank West.
Legion dressed up as a member of the True Eye Cult, and David wearing Chuck's jacket would be cool.
-
Deerstalker.
I used to use it a lot when I was newer, but I got better at predicting where survivors would crawl to. Also, I don't slug that much so I don't usually have use for it.
-
I got Adept Ghostface at yellow ranks, and I had to use a map offering for an indoor map.
I have lots of respect for you for doing that well in red ranks, no addons either.
-
I mostly agree with this, but I would put Legion in A, Ghostface in SS, and lower Demogorgon to A.
-
A Dead Rising chapter/paragraph is requested pretty often (or maybe that guy on Twitter is a vocal minority 😅) and it would have some good map potential. We could get a good indoor map with the mall.
-
Since the title specifies game characters, it would be cool to have a Big Daddy from the Bioshock series.
I can only think of 1 perk right now though:
*Burial at Sea*: The basement spawns in both locations if able. Basement chest searches take 50/100/150% longer.
Probably wouldn't be a particularly powerful perk, and it would be useless on 5 maps. But it could be neat.
-
If you like the outfit then go for it! The legs are slightly less noticeable, so you could always just get 2/3 items or only the hood.
