Don't worry they're changing perk rarities so it'll actually cost slightly MORE Bloodpoints to get all the perks unlocked now because we know what's what you wanted. (I have not done the maths myself I'm remembering another place where someone claimed to have done so).

^ this.
You cant keep Ivory Moris like this, the only "good" thing about them is that they are kinda rare compared to Ebony Moris, which are the most common Moris. Removing 25% of the enemy team early is basically a win.
Also, to add - Devs said that Key and Mori Changes might not come in the same Patch. So we will see the Forum burn if one of it is changed and the other thing later. :>
I look forward to the world burning if they don't get changed at the same time

If they're trying to see how the community would respond to data they should have dropped something we could use. The data we got was a complete mess of statistics from all platforms, ranks, maps.. everything. We cannot use it for anything.
Exactly, we can't use it for anything. Yet harassment and screaming was still commonplace, at least on these forums. Trying to use any bit of information to squeeze into a survivors/killers op narrative.
@Kurasuma said:
You do realize they have records of every match, right? Many matches go on without any survivors completing 1 gen. This is the accumulation of their statistics that they have accumulated over a period of time
Yeah, and they didn't give us records of every match. They gave us matches where an active tome challenge was completed in relation to the stats. Like the Dark Sense Challenge (that infamous one), only when that challenge got completed did it count towards the stats the devs gave out.
-
1) yeah i enjoy the challenge
2) more fun than survivor ever will be.

Right, but what do you have to do to pull off this tech? ELI5 please.
Oh literally, channel a map or a key and run at the killer. That's it. They vault a window, you use the map/key, and you go through them even when they should have collision. They're breaking a pallet? Cool, run into them using the map/key and literally run through them.

Ah, so a wasted map and a wasted perk slot against me. Good, good...
But in all seriousness, what's this window tech people are referring to?
*Laughs in Inner Strength too*
So, with the default Window Tech, you have to hit a specific point in the animation right where the killer loses collision and getting the timing wrong will get you hit. This basically removes that timing, and it's not with with window techs. You can run through a killer at any time; when they're walking, breaking a pallet, etc. It means you can't be bodyblocked by the killer, ever (and also can't bodyblock whilst doing this but we don't focus on that). This can also be performed with a key, provided you're Mind Channeling.

I would balance with these changes.
FOR SOLOS:
Internal program for comms. For those who will complain of:
1-People putting music.
2-Doing absurb comments.
3-Disturbing you.
Solution:Mute button.
For those who complain of sandbagging:
Solution:No bodyblock between survivors.
A survivor suicide on hook
Solutions:
1-Add bots.
Or...
2-No penalty on pipping +20% boost on bp earning during the game.
Moris
Mori are only available when you hook 4 diferent survivors.
FOR KILLERS.
Survivor DC count as all the hooks.
Hatch never opens if someone DC. In that case there will be 3 chest randomly selected in the map that will contain a key only for last surv (doesnt matter if its open or not if chest is open you will be able to get the key directly if not you gotta open it ) After key is grabbed hatch spawn.
If killer close the hatch. ECG start with 1min for open gates.
If you find hatch you escape.
Keys are only able to make one survivor escape.
Broken keys now appear in the screen as a broken key (not a full one).
Once the hatch is open and closed generator remaint will be equal to the number of survs -1. NO LONGER START ECG.
ECG ONLY STARTS WHEN GATES ARE OPEN. 2 MINS TO LEAVE GAME. (4 MINS DOESNT PRESSURE SURVIVORS.) If someone get hooked go slightly slower.
Egc is already 2 minutes, it slows to 4 if at least one person is always downed/hooked, which is very unlikely

Did you even read my post? Why do you come with variables and conclusions, it literally makes no sense what you talk.
Like @Madjura more or less translated with numbers, those stats are extremly unlikely to be true, unless you believe that only 0.2 gens get done per match.. on average of course.
So, in all of those matches, which took place over a year, how many:
- Were in red ranks
- Had DCs
- How many DCs
- How many moris or keys
- How many were thrown for a challenge
- How many hook suicides
- What maps were they
- Which killers were used
- What perks were used
- How long was each game
- Was there tunneling/camping
- Was there a "genrush"
- Was there a pip/depip
And many more.
Please, from the stats you've got from BHVR, answer me these questions. These are the stats we need, not just "x survivors escaped, y died, in z trials, with g gens done". Of course if you include rank 20 games, there won't be a single gen done and the killer gets a 4k. Plus, there are many, many more games at rank 20 than there are at rank 1.

My Xbox Gamer tag is ExcelSword13, on which I have around 1100 hours clocked. My Steam name is ExcelSword, on which I have 695 hours. Feel free to search me on either platform, instead of just coming along and completely dismissing my whole post. I decided to ask for help because I thought perhaps some people would show a sense of community and offer tips to help other improve.
I am pretty much a killer main; that is where most of my hours are logged. I actually played a whole lot of spirit for the first half a year after she was released, and then put her down because I thought she was too strong. I admit I am not the best survivor and I mostly play solo as one. Believe it or not some people actually do have a limit on their abilities to learn completely on their own, so instead of being elitist maybe offer some actual advice?
I only started encountering Spirits frequently when I switched to PC this March, and while I think I am decent at looping other killers, I always tended to just accept my fate against spirit after hearing so many people say she has no counter. But this isn't a healthy way of improving so I thought perhaps I would see if anyone has ANYTHING to help last longer against her.

Adding numbers so it becomes easier to understand your post:
50627522 survivors died, 6765882 escaped. Total number of survivors is 57393404. This info comes from the first post on page 1.
Divide that by 4 (because there are always 4 survivors in a game) and you get the number of games: 14348351.
2272978 generators were repaired, source: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1687378#Comment_1687378
The number of generators repaired per game is ~0.16.

Again, you know the rank distribution? How many dcs or suicides? How many people threw the game for an archive challenge only? No. You know a couple sets of numbers and you're tying to draw conclusions ceteris parabus, when the state of dbd is the polar opposite of ceteris parabus. There are far too many variables each game for these stats to be used as any sort of conclusion.
Edit: "Ceteris parabus", often used in Economics, it's Latin and means "All other things remain the same." Basically every other variable doesn't change, which is just not the case in dbd.

We know how many survivors escaped and how many were killed, so we know how many games got played. With that statistics, we know now how many generators per match got repaired on average.
Knowing that only 2 million gens in 14 million games got repaird, we can suspect, that those stats are not correct.

Guys according to these stats there's been over 2 million gens done!
Will I give context or how the matches ended or the time period these were collected over or the distribution over ranks? NOPE! You just can see that there's been 2 million gens done, how many trials? Better guess buddy, I sin telling. Just take my word for it and see that there's been this many gens completed and therefore generators need a N E R F.
See the issues with these types of posts?
-
Okay this might be because I'm a biased pyramid head main but I would unironically say Pyramid Head WITH A RULE:
You actually USE your Punishment of the Damned.
The attack is clunky, telegraphed, 8m of range, narrow, loud, and moves in a wave. It gets ######### over by luck, by lag, and by a small change in the verticality of the surface. It's very very difficult to hit, let alone to hit consistently, so if there's a Pyramid Head that will consistently use and hit their Punishment Of The Damned I'd say they're an incredibly skilled killer.
Obviously not including nurse here.
If all you do is zone zone zone and win chases by forcing the lose/lose, that takes like no skill and I could do that with him on day 1. If you actually use his ability as the devs intended, he gets weaker but significantly more skillful and rewarding and, the key part, you can still easily win games with him. Chases still end in like, 10 seconds if you're good as him in this sense.

Basically, if you run even one of those, you forfeit your right to talk about a killer's build. Period.
EDIT: Well, OK, you can still make a cheeky comment about NOED. But just 1. And it better be followed by "lol gg"
flip this on it's head and imagine people listing killer perks and characters like "PGTW+CI, RuinDying, ThanaLight, Freddy, Spirit, Pyramid Head. If you run even one of those, you forfeit your right to talk about a survivor's build. Period."
Alternatively ditch the us vs them bullshit, and recognise that both sides of the game have their own issues and both sides have an equally valid right to express those issues. Capiche?
-
Ruin/Undying? I see no issues, and I use it on almost all of killers. I enjoy it, I don't mind facing it (because I'm now officially an EpicSoulGuardGamer:tm:) and I think it's relatively healthy to have a meta shake-up every once in a while. Even when Ruin doesn't do anything, that's 70 seconds gained by them doing totems.
When it's combined with Tinkerer is when I start having issues. Many killers who use this build just, can't chase. It's like NOED all over again. They'll spend hours at an L-T wall missing every swing but then the Tinkerer procs and off they go to start it regressing, and begin the process all over again, until eventually a mistake is made or resources run out because, given infinite time, the killer will always win the battle of attrition that is DBD. Obvously you can cleanse every totem but again, these guys just don't know how to chase, so they see your aura on their bones they can and will drop it to go chase you off of it. Ruin/Undying, imo, is healthy for the game, if a bit obnoxious in solo (BHVR add a totem counter please). Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer isn't healthy for the game, and eventually this build will be a crutch build for bad killers who can't effectively end chases, like NOED currently is (imho).
But hey that's just my opinion, and luckily this is the Internet so you're entitled to your own.

thanks for letting me know! Sucks that the cycle of toxicity continues on though.
it's hardly gonna end when us vs them is still so strong in the community, and people can't just see that both sides have bullshit they can do to the other, and both sides have issues to deal with. like slinger and spirit and pyramid head's lack of chase counterplay is an issue, but so is streetwise/built to last with a commodious + speed and charges. keys exist but so do moris, hawkins and saloon are there but so is cowshed and haddonfield. but unfortunately a vast majority (of the vocal section of this community) only actually can see like, one side of the issues,

This one for Yui
It's Cheer's creation and I use it all the time out of respect.
There's also these two for Claudie and Davey:
-
IMHO there should be two changes to them:
-They are available on more killers. For example, current there's huntress, clown, Pig, and Demo. It should be on more people, like Hag and Trapper and everyone.
-The time they cause Exhaustion for is significantly reduced. The timers are relics of days past and have to be reduced. 90 second Exhaustion hatchets from huntress? Excuse me, this isn't it chief, especially considering how huntress just yeets a galaxy at you and somehow hits you around two corners and through a wall. Her common should be, like, 10 seconds at best, clowns yellow should be 20, and huntress' green should be 30. At most. Maybe 5/10/15 idk.

Me. I care about how tall I am since I physically cannot play him without literally becoming the Plague and vomiting everywhere due to his height and movement. Oni has a similar issue but he only gives me headaches and nausea, not full on sickness like Blight does.

-
I'm entirely for this feature, the only difficulties I can see arising are perks like Better Together or Surveillance which reveal the gen auras in a different colour, but these could also be customisable.
-
See that's the issue. After like 100 hours it stops being scary because overexposure to media, particularly the same media (because dbd has the same gameplay loop over and over) makes it lose its scare. If you watch A Nightmare On Elm Street 50 times over its not exactly going to scare you anymore is it? And ANOES is definitely a horror film. If you played SOMA through 20 times you wouldn't be scared anymore, not properly.
