no. just spine chill and use your eyes.
Seriously, Deathslinger's counterplay is by all means the same as Myers... or are you usually the survivor who boosts Myers to T3 before the first gen pops?
Ah yeah in yamaoka jungle gyms where you can't see over the walls unless you're using stretches res and can't hear his terror radius and can't see around corners just use your eyes. What a good idea why didn't I think of that?!
And you can't hear his terror radius either because of how quiet it is + m&a but just use your eyes 8head.
The rest of the perks, too, weren't for deathslinger. They were for spirit because that's what this forum has told me is a good counter to her. And kindred and ds had their reasons given.
But it's fine. Just use more than 4 perks honestly Karu how dumb can you be

Because you can't run spinechill, look around in general... and... are you implying Deathslinger can look through the corn?
There's a reason a lot of slinger mains hate coldwind and swamp with a burning passion
Ah just use spine chill, as well as iron will and fixated and off the record for spirit, an obsession perk so you don't get tunneled, kindred too for solo.
Oh wait 4 perks. Nevermind

Had shelter Woods spawn with 2 pallets. T w o. Welcome to rng. (I mean technically 3 but I wasn't including Shack pallet when I counted them up).

Lol the reason they said they didnt want to make him stronger or weaker was just damage control because they knew there would be an uproar amongst a minority.
Notice how they say its to address complaints but 99% of complaints were survivors.
He looks so stupid now. At least on otb he carried on moving at 4.4m/s which was his normal speed, now hes walking and just....kinda stops for a second. It looks stupid and clunky and it is but hey survivors got what they wanted so it doesnt matter.
Irony is the weaker a killer is the more dirty you have to play. Im taking a break from the game after this and unsure if I will continue to play PH but if I do you can be damn sure im gonna be feeling more pressure to hard tunnel now. Good job survivors
The funny part here is that he's not even that bad anymore and you can easily hit his POTD with enough practice and prediction, and if you felt like it you could still zone easily. Maybe, just maybe, it's not as bad as you're making it out to be.

@TheButcher said:
All the people here going "It's a bug, but I'm for it" . These are the people that need to learn that you're not supposed to be on equal playing field to the Killer. THE KILLER IS SUPPOSED TO BE SIGNIFICANTLY STRONGER THAN YOU. The game is supposed to be built around the fact that no matter how good you are at survivor - A killer of equal skill. WILL. GET. YOU.
the thing is, spirit just takes what i can do against her and removes it. stealth? she comes at you invisible at the speed of hilbilly so if you dont use spine chill good luck. looping? lol. holding w? she gets that too. hiding mid chase? stridor. she's just uninteractive and if i wanted to play get downed then rush gens simulator id be in a 4 man.
she, alongside deathslinger, are the reasons i became a killer main. at least i can interact with all the survivors in a game then. interaction is the main reason for playing pvp games, after all.

I've been playing him nonstop for 2 hours and I have yet to get a game where survivors finish all generators. It's always either a 4k or a 3k with hatch. As someone who always went for POTD even before the "nerf", the smaller cooldown after it for me was an insane buff, especially now that he can catch up even faster.
You play in the exact same way as me praise be!! It's a massive, massive buff to my playstyle too but then they didn't even fix what they were meant to lol. Kinda frustrating but, oh well.

Deathslinger also no; his shot is the same speed as Huntress's hatchets. If you're within chain range there just isn't enough time to even start reacting to the shot.
Let's imagine you're right at 18m. The chain moves at 40m/s. That means the shot would hit the very edge of the capsule at 450ms. According to Wikipedia (link), college age individuals take ~190ms to react to a simple visual stimulus. DBD has so much going on that it's far from a simple reaction, but still, let's use 190ms as our floor. I was debating using the 160ms number since the chain is pretty much impossible to see while flying, but if you can't see the trajectory of the shot you likely don't know the right direction to dodge in.
Anyway, now, let's assume that the shot is well-aimed and will give a hit if it hits any part of the survivor capsule (since I have no idea what the hitboxes look like). The capsule is .45m thick if I remember correctly, so you'd need to move .225m perpendicular to the trajectory of the shot in order to dodge it. Let's assume that the Deathslinger just aimed at your current position and didn't try to lead you at all. Let's also assume you're already facing sideways so you don't need to turn to dodge; otherwise that would waste even more time. Survivors move at 4m/s. With those assumptions, that's 56ms.
Let's ignore frame rate, frame time, tick rate, and such, although they would normally impact things a little bit.
So, in our absolute best-case scenario, in which you can see the trajectory of the shot the second it leaves the gun, your reaction time isn't slowed by the other distractions in the game, you don't need to turn your character to dodge, and you're at the absolute max range of the chain, you have 450ms - 190ms - 56ms = 204ms of headroom, so far.
...but this is ignoring ping. I'm not exactly sure where we are with hit validation and everything, but at the very least you'd need to wait for [1/2 Killer Ping] + [Survivor Ping] before a survivor would be able to react to and dodge a shot according to the server. My typical ping as survivor is 100-125ms. If the Deathslinger had similar ping I'd have like 30ms of headroom, maybe, even in the most ideal of situations. So, dodging any well-aimed chain outside of ~17m would be impossible.
Let's imagine that the killer and survivor both have good ping (let's say 50ms). In that case, they'd have 129ms of headroom. In real life, there is no way you'll be able to evaluate that trajectory instantly, let alone see the chain. You'll have to turn your character instead of just run forward, which will waste time. Your reactions will be slowed by all of the other things you have to focus on. Your PS4's frame rate is going to hurt your reaction time further. The Deathslinger is not going to be shooting from 18m away. Etc.
But, even in this unrealistic scenario, you would only be able to dodge a well-aimed chain outside of ~13m.
-----
TL;DR In an unrealistically idealized scenario, yeah, you can dodge max range Deathslinger shots. In the actual game, good luck with that.
no no i mean huntress you can dodge deathslinger you cant he's bullshit and i hate it

Something I've always thought of is you have 4 separate buttons you bind a skill check to. They cannot be the same button. Each time a skill check appears there's a 25% chance of it being any of those 4 buttons.
Also another change to skilchecks: each second there's a 1% chance of getting a check. For each second you continue on the action the chance increases by 5% until you hit 100%. Missing a skill check resets it to 1%, hitting it removes 25% of the chance.
Accidentally buff Autodidact doing this too.

Will they only be aviable for cells or also for shards?
We don't know, presumably cell exclusive. Definitely for Event rarity skins like the Nurse's one.
-
@Demonl3y said:
Wait are they buyable now ? For how much do they sell it?
I got them all anyway but i really would like to know
Not all of them and it depends on the rarity. The only one we know to be appearing is the Nurse's Blighted Nightingale (I'm unsure if that's the actual name of it). It's of event rarity and so will be 1080 cells, the same as a very rare skin. Regular rares and uncommon will be the standard prices of other outfits too, I believe.

No I hate saloon because I can't see anyone, once I've seen them it's fine and they die in like 3 blinks (not blink cycles, single blinks) but finding people in those ######### bushes makes me sad.
Edit: but yeah as pyramid head it's significantly worse once I've found someone I can't even use my ######### power to down them bc the map is so garbage.

I think he inhaled too much gases from the police car's =)
Best way to handle Haddonfield as a killer is to meme or tab out in a corner. This largely also depends on killer+build. With Trapper, Haddonfield is actually fun to play. But most killers struggle a great deal. It is way too large with all those buildings and stuffed with strong loops as the buildings themselves and these ultra long fences.
Thing is as pyramid head and Nurse I don't mind it. I don't have fun but it could be worse (*shudders in saloon and hawkins*). But as like every other killer I play- Bubba wraith doc etc- it's just torture. And not the good type.

I. Rules of Conduct
While participating in the Game, you also agree to comply with certain rules of conduct that govern your use of the Game (“Rules of Conduct”), for example you may not:
[About 15 other Bullet Points that don't matter for this specific thing]
• Exploit errors in design, features which are not documented, and/or bugs to gain access that would otherwise not be available or to obtain any competitive advantage.
[Another 3 Bullet Points that don't matter]
@ThePolice You agreed to this so...
This. Bhvr is a private company which, definitely under UK law, is able to create laws over matters which affect the public. In dbd, the EULA is this exact thing, and breaking these laws results in whichever punishment BHVR set (obviously they can't imprison you, but they can ban you). You signed the EULA, you deal with it.

I said Haddonfield is one of the most fun maps as Killer AND survivor.
Hi yes allow me to contest this with every fibre of my being. I despise the map as survivor because it feels like there's not much to work with except houses and a fence so it's just hold w. As killer it's difficult to reach places, PLATFORM GENS, and you're countered by holding w. Don't get me started on the fences.
This map is bullshit. It needs a rework.

Okay thank you.
Also @Shymare_11 one more thing! If you get Midwich trying to learn her then I wish you luck. That map is amazing once you've got her basics covered but really good luck learning her then. One tip I have though is that from the middle courtyard one füllt charged blink takes you anywhere on the map, and you can get back to the middle from anywhere, except that one corridor that's a deadzone.

Teams like this are the only time I'll tunnel. I hope they're ready to deal with Pyramid Head tunneling them off hook into cage, only for their OoO to screw them over and suddenly I know exactly where they are and can go tunnel them off hook again. This is the ONLY time I'll tunnel on purpuse because for once I know for a fact they don't give a ######### about my fun so why should I?
That or I'll tunnel as Nurse. Good luck escaping when I have wallhacks and can teleport.

-
It's a live game. They can change their minds and go back on anything they've said before, with or without telling us. Plans must have changed here because their stance clearly has.
-
Things can change. Clearly they're able to negotiate more with the licence holders now than before and can do some things with the characters.
-
Okay this is going to sound cliche as ######### but there are honestly two ways to get good as nurse.
Watch lots of gameplay. I mean LOTS. Eventually you start picking up blink distancing vs charge time, how long you can hold your chain blink, etc etc just by watching. This isn't how you properly learn her and get good as her but it can really give you a massive head start (I suggest Ardetha).
And the other? Just play her. Everything in her kit is about muscle memory, knowing where you can and can't blink from where. It's honestly just a case of practicing. That's it. That's how you get good as her.
It took me 2 and a half years of watching gameplay before I attempted to play as her. Finally I put like 60 hours a week into playing nothing but her, and after 2 or 3 weeks of learning I finally got to where I am today. I'd call myself above average.
Good luck man. She's the hardest killer in the game to learn and NONE of her skills are transferrable to other killers so it'll be a pain trying to learn someone else too but, good luck.
-
No. Bhvr have yeeted his code and it'd be a bugfixing and balancing nightmare to do. I loved playing as him but I think it's time to just let him rest, pun intended.
