I had someone DC when I hit a hail-mary hatchet at the start of the game. This was a long time ago, but it did crack me up.
-
One question:
Have you played as the Cenobite?

In end game lobby you can find out who the 'anonymous' users are. Although if there's multiple it can be guess work to know which person was playing which survivor or who the killer is.
Anyway, when in end game lobby simply: Shift + tab > View Players > Recent Games. Note: You will have to close this recent games popup and reopen it for it to update new players again (if its already open).

"Solved" doesn't actually mean any action has been taken against the person you reported. Tickets are always marked as "Solved" eventually, I'm guessing just for the sake of the support team to know which tickets they've dealt with already. You can however look at the steam player's profile if you've still got it (or their steam64id) to check for a game ban once you see your ticket has been "Solved".
I mean, strictly speaking, it doesn’t mean that they have been banned. But they would’ve had to actively ignore the evidence I submitted for them to be let off.

What I mean is that for non-anons, I can report them on Steam as well as in game (which is generally more effective.) Anons, I have no ability to report on Steam, and reporting on DBD is worthless because I don't run recording software.
Ah, I see. In that case, here's hoping the future support improvements will allow you to overcome that. You're probably in the majority with that as well, so... All I can say is...hope you don't encounter many cheaters.

You can't report them on platform, though, and reporting them on platform is way easier than navigating BHVR's rat race of a report system.
Not sure what you mean with "on platform". If you mean in-game, I haven't had any trouble with that.

How would you know they were banned? I’ve never gotten a report back to me saying if they had been banned or not, and I’ve reported a handful of obvious cheaters with video evidence. No touch back or anything
If you check back on the support page, specifically the "my activities" page, you can find a list of all the reports you've made. See mine, for example. Notice how it says "Solved" instead of something like "Open". The evidence I provided was pretty damning, so it'd be silly if they weren't banned.
-
Fun fact! You don’t need the player’s SteamID/gamertag! It is optional when making reports.
Just last week I reported an anonymous Nea, and got them banned.
-
Just a small update, I have arrived safely. Thank you both, this was needed.
-
Hi I am in desperate need. My trains have been delayed three times over, I am still at least half an hour away from my room and am currently standing in the cold wind, thanks
-
Possibly. Hard to tell, let alone prove without footage, though.

@Mandy what happened to stranger things is it confidential?
Yes, it is. Although it’s only speculation, the general concensus is that Netflix pulled out of the agreement after 2 years.

Oh really...
Did they show you the middle finger too?
Okay. How about this. I'm insulting you by typing the number 8!
Look! 8
So since I consider this as a great insult towards you, you should agree to be offended. lol. Yeah you are not very smart if you agree to that.
So Somebody crouching around is taken by you as an insult, by all means, feel insulted by it. Play this ballgame with other people who actually believe they just insulted you deeply :)) As I said. Have fun. Why are you complaining about it?
I swear we are living in a world where people are desperately looking for every small thing to be offended about. Crouching people. Jesus Christ! that's horrible!
Entirely missing my point but okay.
A slur is ultimately just a word. Or to go further, a combination of letters, or sounds. Maybe you'd like to go even further and say that it's just a specific assortment of soundwaves, an arbitrary assortment of pixels or a slosh of ink.
You're not gonna tell someone not to be insulted by the n-word just because "it's just a an arbitrary assortment of pixels." That's ridiculous.
You're not insulted, but that doesn't mean nobody else is.
-
I said MCU/DC in the previous thread, so I'mma add another.
Sorry Mooks, but I would really not like to see Don't Starve. Purely because I couldn't stand harming any of its characters. Wickerbottom deserves hugs, not meathooks to the shoulder.
-
Without specific tools or powers already mentioned, sometimes you just can’t. The swamps, for example, have a nasty habit of making for gate spawns that are either very hard to defend, or stupidly easy.
-
The OG 3 for sure. Trapper in particular.
Beyond that, Pig's is a bit meh. It's quick, but it could've have been more, I think.
-
Ghostface could’ve had an original survivor as his counterpart, since he’s effectively an original character, just with a licensed mask. He also doesn’t have any notable locations beyond a the non-descript hardware store in his trailer and the entirety of “Philly”.
I’ve always seen Ash as Ghostface’s counterpart, and Mikaela as Pinhead’s. Bubba is an outlier in that regard, but he came out in a weird state and time anyway.
-
That's aimdressing.I would recommend watching a few videos on youtube. Otz, PainReliever, just to name a few. They both helped me a ton with the small things in particular.
-
I have noticed such players, but I can't say that I've necessarily seen more than before.
-
Maybe a slight touch-up, but nothing more. I still think they changed Doc too much.
They can probably redo his mori, though, now that they’re making it more common.
-
I think I have heard it once or twice as survivor, but I may just be misremembering.
-
It’s been a while since I’ve seen the film, but aren’t most of those characters kinda against straight-up homicide? It would be extremely out of character for them to start hacking and slashing away in DbD, methinks.
-
Good news!
-
I mean, you're right, but having concerns is also valid.

I wonder would we have gotten this statement at all if Otz and Spookyloopz had not spoken up about it.
I'm sure it had something to do with it, but as ImmersedNurse already said I'm guessing this has been in the works for some time already.

I just wish someone would tell us if in-game reports on console alone are enough for BHVR to investigate a potential cheater. I decided to jump back in the game last night and went against a Pig who had Pimento and Devour Hope. We literally cleansed all the totems and despite doing so, Devour Hope was still active. When I finally ran into the Pig, I was downed instantly and killed. 8 totem cleanses, Devour Hope triggered at 5 tokens after we already cleansed all the totems. Pimento was triggered after we destroyed all the totems. Not to mention the Pig knew where everyone was without haven't any aura reading perks.
I say this because a lot of cheaters are subtle and yes, maybe this wasn't a cheater, but I'd at least like to know that my in-game reports matter alone. Many of us players aren't going to have video evidence or can't send a ticket on the website as easily as PC players can. So if someone from BHVR can confirm if the in-game reporting feature works by itself and we shouldn't have to do all this extra work to report cheaters or players who are sus, then I'm fine with the direction anti cheat is going in.
In this specific instance, it could be due to Devour sometimes not deactivating when it's cleansed. This is a bug, not a cheater's work.
-
What, you expected them to say precisely what they are doing, allowing hackers to pinpoint what they need to do to circumvent it before it even hits live?
Although it’ll be a while yet, this is objectively great.

For those who are flouting about this and saying "uhm, game will be here forever", ye, game maybe, player base not :)
https://steamcharts.com/app/381210
You want to argue against numbers? And those are numbers even before that update. How many players will be there after it? Half of it? More? Less? Even now has game half/less of the active players than had year ago or 2 years ago or 3 years ago or 4 years ago in same month.
But ye, game is in perfect state, nothing happens, everything is fine. Numbers are just coincidence, right? :) Not even talking about those cheaters BHVR is ignoring.
If you'd actually read into the stats you'd find that ~35k is rather standard for DbD. Not to mention that is is Steam only. We don't know the stats for any other platform/storefront.

Based on a group of 75 games I took data for:
1. Ghostface (10 games)
2. Huntress (8)
3. Tie between Shape and Wesker (5 each)
4. Tie between Deathslinger, Doctor, Legion and Wraith (4 each)
5. Tie between Oni and Artist (3 each)
6. Tie between Nurse, Blight, Bubba, Demogorgon, Hag, Nemesis, Pig, Trapper and Trickster (2 each)
Why so many stealth Killers? No idea.
Ghostface 10 times??
I've seen more Twins than ghostfaces since the midchapter that buffed him.

There is still plenty of time for them to read the feedback and change it before it goes live.
I might be entirely wrong, but I can't help notice that that's singular and only referring to the basekit Mori.
-
I've had it appear literally beneath my feet as killer twice this month.
-
A specific Onyro playstyle will be worse*
-
I don't see how Myers is affected all that severely. Same for Plague. Slugging is not ubiquitous for those two.

Yes they did. Mathieu Cote in an interview in 2021 said the following: "One problem is, Slenderman never touches anyone. He doesn't hit you. He can't carry you. It's not a question of physics, but of lore. Of what the character can do depending on its history. It's very important for us that if we invite an existing character into DBD, we must be able to do it while respecting who they are. I won't say no, but its not an easy mix."
-Mathieu Cote
Sounds like a no to me....which is lame...
Schmuckles went over this interview if you want proof
Well. You have you answer right there. It's not a flat no, therefore it is possible.

They have actually
Jeepers Creepers
I mean, I didn't know that they made an official statement on that, but that's also for very obvious and justified reasons.
My main point still stands though. BHVR has never "given excuses" as to why Slenderman specifically couldn't join the roster. I can personally think of a fair few. But OP's point of "not touching anyone" is irrelevant.

Pinhead never picks people up and carries them like he does in DBD so give me a break with all of the excuses BHVR...
BHVR has never given an excuse, what are you on about.
They never flat-out denied any character from entering as far as I'm aware.
-
Announcing a solution before the solution even hits PTB seems very, very counterproductive.
-
I fully agree.
-
If this goes through, there is literally no reason to bring Exponential. At all.

The fact that it counts people being on the hook is terrible in my opinion. All killer will have to do is proxy the 3rd survivor to get a 4k most of the time.
I don't see how that's different from what we already have. The only thing changed in that scenario is that the 4th survivor is instantly mori'd.
-
45 is very short, yeah. Sure, it'll stop slugging for the 4ks, but there won't even be any motivation to pick a teammate up with this.
-
Nurse (by far)
Spirit
Wesker
Huntress
Blight
Bubba

How on earth can you get hit by an incredibly telegraphed tp on an m1 killer, like im not even saying thats a lie but how bad does a survivor have to be to get hit by sadako after a tp?
It may be telegraphed, but unless there's a pallet or window right there, only SB or DH can save you from Sadako with the zoomies.
Beyond that, I honestly don't know. It's not like I get a hit every time, but it works often enough. You'd be surprised how often survivors just don't hear the lullaby coming either.
-
When a hooked survivor is running Kindred, you can tell whether a Spirit is phasing outside its range. The husk loses its aura. If she's phasing but you can still see the aura, she's still nearby.
-
Dunno about "rely"
I do rather well with these two:
Free first hit galore.
-
Eh. I like 'em.
-
They are now unobtainable, yes.
Of note, you only had to hit P3, not p3-50.

Disclaimer: That’s currently due to Lethal Pursuer being bugged and not increasing itself to 11 seconds.
I wonder if that's true though. LP extends a reveal, in this case the one created by itself. If the reveal never applied due to Distortion, there's nothing to extend, therefore Distortion only sees 1 token consumed, right? Or am I misrembering some numbers here?
