Little odds, ends and tips for new players.
Seeing a lot of new players cause of the newest chapter, here's some things I feel not many people (even some veterans of the game) aren't aware of:
- You can crouch up to Victor (if you ever encounter the elusive twins in the wild) to crush him when he's parked near a hook without Charlotte getting a notification you're nearby. Don't know the radius though, but 'once you can sorta hear him' usually works.#
- You can crouch through Hag's traps, and destroy them with a flashlight.
- Talking about Hag: You can 'insta'-crouch when you get unhooked by pressing your crouch button once someone comes up to unhook. Likewise can you stay crouched while unhooking while keeping the crouch-button pressed.
- You can also crouch through Pyramidhead's.... globberthing
- Quickly hiding in a locker or quickvaulting gives the killer a notification in the form of an explosion sound and a little explosion where you are.
- As does dropping a pallet (why there's no perk to slowly lower them is beyond me)
- If Deathslinger is aiming for you there's a mechanical whistle sound. His hitbox is small, so there is a chance to avoid the harpoon.
- Similar Wesker, huntress, plague and pyramidhead all have a sound that telegraphs an attack. Slimy squelching, a grunting shout, drawing air and a fizzle respectively.
That's what I observed so far. Any additions or questions?

When a hooked survivor is running Kindred, you can tell whether a Spirit is phasing outside its range. The husk loses its aura. If she's phasing but you can still see the aura, she's still nearby.
