Is it some sort of cheats or hacks?
There are some times that I downed someone and when I pick them up my game suddenly crashes. Is it some sort of cheat? My game was running fine prior to this and only occurred at that moment. Or was it just a coincidence that my game crashes when I pick up survivors?

Possibly. Hard to tell, let alone prove without footage, though.
