Can't say I've seen it more than 5 times in my entire DbD career. It's just a temporary speed boost that eats the medkit on use. Seems very meh.

Strategies possible with just the base kit should have counters with just the base kit.
Needing to bring a perk to counter a playstyle (which barely even counter it to begin with) is not counterplay.

I agree. It's missing something grotesque. Feeling the same about the Wesker skin. His head seems entirely unchanged.

Just get the offering that the basement is in the center and you have a great map control. Not in all cases and with all killer, but it can be hard for the surivors.
Which Red Forest map are you talking about? Mother's Dwelling or Temple of Purgation?
Mind you, Temple was released in March 2019, and Mother's Dwelling came way before that. Either don't really fall under "the past 2 years."

If someone just flat-out refused to play, I'll let the others farm.
If they tried to be cheeky with flashlights or whatever, I'll go for the hooks.

Gonna be honest, a survivor perk trumping a killer perk entirely never sits right with me.

By now it’s entirely possible. It’s still something to be wary of, but it’s not an immediate indicator of shenanigans anymore.

So the first bar you see is the Easy Anti Cheat boot-up sequence. To my knowledge, this is unavoidable.
The cutscene that plays after that is just the trailer for the most recent chapter release or the standard cinematic trailer. This screen also displays the copyright declarations, which DbD might be legally obliged to show. Since this info is not displayed on the main title screen, this might be hard to remove.
The last space bar tap is the log-in and start-up screen. You could theoretically make this automatic, but I haven’t seen a single (steam) game do this.

He’s a northern cardinal (or the very originally named Cardinalis Cardinalis), a species I don’t know much about because we don’t have them here.

I like the idea of it, but it’s very underwhelming in practice. It’s a solo stomping perk, and even then that’s only if it stands for long enough to apply all 4 stacks.

It's nigh-impossible to prove if it was actual malicious intent, but I think I had it happen a few times. Never got a disconnect penalty for it, though. I guess they just crashed the server or something like that?

How is the other survivor worse? They're just trying to make something out of it. It's far worse if another survivor is cheating, and then they work with them to bully the helpless killer.
Not to mention, y'know, the cheater themselves having absolutely no regard for the game's fairness.

Can't say I know much about books that would fit, so I'll skip that.
Movie: Friday the 13th, easily, followed by Aliens. The former for having the last "big" classic slasher, and the latter because it would be groundbreaking for DbD in a lot of ways.
Video Games: Outlast, Clock Tower, The Evil Within. Maybe even Amnesia.

Facecamping is overrated on anyone besides instal down killers. It's quite easy for survivors to play around it, especially in the end game. Takes a simple strategy really.
Well, guess on what killers facecamping is actually an issue :D

Just so you know, support does take the use of slurs in chat seriously, and will ban for it if reported, so you did right thing there.
Though it boggles the mind how those things aren't caught by the filter. How long have we had that thing now? A year? longer?

I gave that up when Demo arrived. I wouldn’t call Stranger Things a horror franchise, but Demo still made for an excellent addition to the roster and is still widely beloved by the community. As was the entire chapter.
That said, I hear ST seasons since his release (and departure) have leaned more into the horror aspects of the premise.
Also, the whole “Elephant Costume is not scary” thing is bogus to me. It’s a rendition of the tried and true “child-friendly mascot/performer turns out to be a homicidal psycho” trope. The man’s still wearing a ring of human fingers on his belt, for crying out loud.

Well, I can already tell you that nothing is gonna change about flashlights balance wise. Ruling that out, I don't see why it even matters.
Mind you, they've done changes like this before, just for people with photosensitivity issues. Think Doc, think Sadako, even some maps, if memory serves. Yes, they're slow, and yes they could do more, but to say they don't care is just false.

There was literally a thread months back about someone whose family member had a seizure as a result of flashlight macros. The entire thread was victim blaming garbage. So, I am not surprised people are complaining that said victims aren't going to keep receiving punishment.
Also the warnings given aren't sufficient. Most people who have photo sensitivity can play most games with no issue. Flashlights and the like just caused more issues than other sources, for people. There's no reason to leave it in, and it's probably a good idea for bhvr to cover itself from lawsuits, or intervention from governments.
Not to mention that the photosensitivity warning is a relatively new addition anyway. If memory serves, the Sadako release came with it. And even then, I only recall seeing it once in-game.

Photosensitive people should consult with their doctors and find out if they can or shouldn't play video games,,changing game for a minority of people just doesn't make sense,,,and to be fair puttin a cooldown on beamrs may also take away your ability to correct a flashlight save timing you started early

Yes. This was already implied in the dev update. The whole point of basekit UB is to give survivors a basekit way to prevent this from happening.
