Your hallucinations are dropped periodically, but you can delay them being dropped by pulling out and immediately retracting your… tendril? I myself prefer to leave hallucinations evenly spread out across the map, so that I can be anywhere I need to be. You also don't want to leave them out in the open and right next to gens, since dispelling them is fairly free. You can also use them as if they were Dredge Remnants, if you got lucky with your timing. Shack in particular becomes much, much easier if you have a hallucination at either side of the window.
Interrupt survivors dispelling hallucinations whenever possible. It's a near-enough free M1 hit, and they get hit with Weakened to boot. Remember that they are forced to look at the hallucination when they're dispelling it, and their sound is also muted. They won't know you're coming if you're coming from behind them.
You can pretty much consistently guarantee a UVX hit if a survivor commits to a window or a pallet. Even if they try to fake it, the blast is large enough to cover most of their potential escapes. Just don't hard-commit to a blast through a window either, it will usually miss.
Likewise, as cool as "wallbangs" are, they're very unlikely to happen, so unless you're absolutely sure they're directly behind a wall, you don't want to waste a cooldown on it.

Was he able to hit any Skill Checks without blowing up the generators?
This was a long time ago, I only remember that it was a Felix, that it was on Ormond, and that I was the killer. I don't really recall what prompted me to check his ping either, I just remember being utterly bewildered by a ping so high I didn't think it possible.
-
I had a Felix once whose ping skyrocketed to 10 thousand once.
Somehow, defying all understanding, he actually did not dc, and played out the match. Of course, he didn't last long, but somewhere I have to respect the hustle.
-
Hooks are worth more BP after the EGC has started. Even more so during events.
That, and by the time I remember it even exists I’m usually already halfway to the hook anyway.
-
When I had something similar, it eventually turned out to be my firewall blocking things it never did before. I had to manually give EAC permission, and it went fine after that.
Ofc, no idea if what you're experiencing is at all similar, but that's what it was for me.
-
I think this one's intentional, actually.
Some smaller items, particularly the keys, were really difficult to spot when they were held so close to their body. Granted, by now keys are nowhere near as big of a gamechanger as they were back then, but that still wouldn't make it a bug.
-
I'd go with November 12th for the most likely PTB drop as well.
So that would mean next week is teaser week, as well as the dev update about the other changes happening.
-
Why I couldn't say, but this happened during the transition from his PTB to live.
-
Huh. I dreamt I was suddenly really good at playing Wesker.
Then I remembered I had an exam tomorrow, and it stressed me out so I stopped playing.
I do not have exams until January. -

I tried to view the clip, but seemed to be broken... is there a secret to viewing? Preferably without signing into tiktok because that thing gives me <insert forum bannable for mentioning it horrible disease of choice here>.
I have no idea, I don’t have TikTok and don’t intend to get started either. Idk why it didn’t have audio for me either.

-
I think you’re confusing what’s actually happening here. Also, this clip you posted never said what you did.
A direct hit never dealt damage, but it does apply a slight hindered debuff. It never outright cancelled the damage, however.
When an unknown is aiming at you, you’re weakened, and he’s pretty close, it might be in your best interest to run straight at him. He can only look down so far when aiming, meaning that you can make it really hard for him to damage you with the explosion. You will most likely still “catch” the projectile, but it will likely explode behind you, therefore not damaging you.

Why doesn't the post appear in the forum's x.com widget?
It does, I think. It just displays the pinned post at the top.
Currently on mobile, so I can’t check rn.

Yeah they’re AFK bots. They’re using Doc because he, for whatever reason, can bypass the AFK kick mechanic.
They’re especially common in low to very low MMR ranges, from what I’ve heard.

Count all the crows. all of them.
Why, I've already started.
On Coal Tower I, for example, I counted 24. So far, it's the only map I've counted, because I've not been able to create proper counting conditions on my own. So instead, I turned to other DbD media.
In the release trailers not counting PoaM, I counted 11 actual crows, and 3 depicted in pictures and a gargoyle. I haven't fully gone through it yet, but there's well over 200 in the Portrait of a Murder release trailer alone. I currently have 1 shot left to analyse, and I'm at 238. Other than PoaM, the console release trailer had the most with 4.
There's currently 17 crow charms, as well as an additional two depicted on the Mural of Torment Charm. There's 2 confirmed crows in perk icons, and likely another in Calm Spirit, though I cannot definitively confirm that Calm Spirit's bird is a crow chick. There's 3 crow badges, and another 8 on the crimson hue banner (as it is visible in-game).
There's another crow in the Caws of Death achievement icon, as well as another possible 9 in the Flight for Freedom icon.
Did you know that the Crow Bombs on the Swamp maps actually start out with more crows before they're disturbed for the first time?

My bad about that. But regardless, it is horrible, no matter which kind of illness that will slowly end someone's life like that.
Sorry to hear about your father, though it is interesting to hear how fast it must have spread, considering that it took just over a month.
I really hope that cancer will be gone in the future, so that no more people have to suffer through it.
I know enough people who has battled cancer.Well, it probably didn't spread that fast. It was just detected far too late. Which is somewhat ironic, since he was a doctor himself, but sometimes it just goes like that I guess.
Either way, I agree. Let's hope for the best.

Yes, cancer is horrible.
In the DBD community, one of the most known cases was that of "Puppers" or Max, which was his real name. He was a well known DBD streamer who sadly lost the battle against cancer.
However, the devs were pretty awesome, and chose to honor him with the "Warrior Puppers" charm, which is available for both survivors and the killers.
Unlock it by entering "WARRIORPUPPERS" in the Redeem code box in the store, and display it for the cause.
I too have lost people close to me to cancer, so I know how bad it is.
I always support the cause to fight cancer, so I gues you can say that I got your back! Not to take away from the sentiment, but Puppers had ALS, a motor neuron disease.
That said, I lost my father to cancer when I was 13. Diagnosed on February 14th, and he was gone on March 21st. I think I was just a bit too young to really grasp what was happening in the moment, but 11 years on and I’ve come to understand what he must’ve gone through. Suffice it to say, it boggles the mind how people can use the word as a swear so carelessly.
I want to add more, but I struggle to find the words. My condolences, and, to the best of your ability, take care.
-
I mean, by far and away most of the times you’ll get injured it’s because of the killer.
All this does is affect very specific perks like For the People and No Mither.
Not sure about WGLF.
-
Friendly reminder that these have gone live now, and they’re only available for 1 week!
-
I loaded into a match already downed once. The Bubba dropped in out of nowhere, only stopped for the pickup, then teleported to basement, and somehow immediately got the sacrifice too.
The issue is that it’s exceptionally hard to get video evidence of it, because it’s typically already over by the time the recording software is booted up and ready. Not to mention the period of confusion.
Maybe support can still get ‘em banned by looking at the match time? Idk.
-
Apparently we’ll find out once the PTB patch notes are ready.
So, like, two weeks-ish from now.
-
Updated news system?
Wonder what that means.

Not a bug, levels 2 and 3 are not open yet. The clock icon next to the II and III are indicators of this, and hovering over them will tell you when the page will open.
The bug is moreso that it’s possible that you can be directed to a tome page that’s not accessible yet. It leads to a lot of unnecessary confusion.
-
Your MMR goes up or down every match. How much depends on the outcome, of course.
-
Have to go with Knockout as well. I hope it doesn’t become popular because of that “experiment” I’ve seen mentioned.
-
It might be latency too. Especially laggy survivors sometimes look like they're standing still in front of a window for a moment, and then fast vault it.

I think it's something that can't really be done halfway, which is what the devs have tried to do. You can't tell players there is an MMR system and then hide it.
That allows developers to have more control over discourse, which they'd understandably want. But it also allows players to completely fabricate any reality they choose. Hiding MMR is a two way street, and I'm not sure BHVR realized that at the time. Totally understandable why developers would want to hide it, but there's a cost when you tell players it's active and then hide it.
I'm not sure that hiding MMR accomplishes what they think it does. Players who don't care about it probably would continue to not care about it. And players already sweat out games for an invisible number. Again, you've told players MMR is active. They know it's there. People aren't going to lose object permanence regarding MMR because it's hidden.
Everything that hiding MMR is supposed to prevent happens anyway. People make up their own MMR, they use a made up "high MMR" as a sort of credential, and the game became infinitely sweatier (subjective).
Pretty sure the influx of hackers forced them to reveal how it actually worked. A few cc’s started interviewing hackers who claimed to have knowledge of how it functioned, which lead to that knowledge ‘breaching containment’, so to speak. Players then used that info to make wholly unsubstantiated claims, which couldn’t be debunked without evidence from the devs themselves.
But there’s also the inherent entitlement that comes with actually sharing the exact number with the player. There will be players who will use their number to “support” their balance takes, whilst also using it to disregard others’ opinions. They mentioned this as the main reason why they keep the numbers hidden. It doesn’t result in anything really productive. -
Funnily enough, most of my friends that would’ve been interested have already tried it on their own. A fair few stuck around too.
-
Cheers!

I think blocked gens are effectively in a sort of 'stasis'. They can't be touched at all.

Same. I also have no access to the game event. I can play matches but I don't get the event things and cannot see and enter the void :/
Are you in the right queue? You need to select the mode from the main menu, as regular queue is, well, just plain ol 'DbD.

legit gone through 50+ blood webs and not seen a single key
I usually always get one every few blood webs
Even if the offering was killswitched, it should still appear in your bloodwebs as normal. So it not appearing at all is just bad luck, I'm afraid.

Survivors losing collission while they have idle crows would solve so many instances of actual bodyblocking. It's honestly staggering how perfect of a solution it is, imo. You have a visual indicator of when it's active, it already has a decay mechanic you can base it off of.
and…best of all, it gives crows an important role in maintaining the game's health!
go crows!
-
It's one of those that affects M1's harder than mobility killers, which can definitely be frustrating. But it only activates in the end-game, so it's kinda w/e. It's not gonna make or break a game on its own.
I will say that, fundamentally, Haste effects shouldn't stack, imo. That was part of the reason why MfT became so widely beloathed. Currently, though, MfT + Hope is rather situational, so I don't think it's that pressing of an issue rn.

I already knew I left the news in good hands, but it pleases me to see nonetheless.

You are very focused on the strength of the killer, but what really matters is how it feels to play as and against. There are plenty of low-tier killers that I hate playing against (e.g. Ghost Face), low-tier killers I love playing as and against (e.g. Myers), high-tier killers that are horrendous to play against (e.g. Chucky), and high-tier killers that I think are a lot of fun (e.g. Huntress, Nurse, Spirit). For both sides it's about how the power feels to interact with and how much agency you feel you have in a chase. It has nothing to do with skill unless you just aren't aware of how to use the power or of counters that do exist.
I would argue that the proposed Trickster changes are an improvement, while Unknown and Artist are poorly designed and unhealthy.
Edit: I really need to finish reading the replies before I comment lol
Where are these proposed Artist and Unknown changes? I don’t use Reddit and I’m struggling to find them.

Well, I’m fairly sure you’ll not see anyone claim that the perk is OP in good faith. But I do think the perk gives a lot of information for free. It leads to that good ol’ feeling of “Did I get outplayed, or outperked?” If they are genuinely better than me, then so be it. But if they just used an autopilot perk to just show them where to go at all times, what am I really playing against?
It’s the closest one can get to a “crutch perk”, imo. Does that warrant a nerf? Not in any objective sense. But at some point a perk playing a significant part of the game for you doesn’t sit entirely right with me either.
-
I mean, Oni isn't OP, even with 180 degree flicks. He has a rather big weakness in that he's very dependent on how the early game goes. Way more than any other killer, I'd say.
-
There are a few tome sections that go into what happens in and outside the trials. The Observer, for example, has one entry that describes how a survivor that escaped a trial went insane and had to be put down by the others. Another where he describes a survivor that escaped a trial, but didn’t last very long afterwards because of a grave injury.
-
Important to add: It’s only the female survivors this happens with.
-
Green maps could do with a slight range increase, I think.
-
Ah, you have chosen the masochist's life.
As someone who can't even be bothered to push for a p50 on any character, I wish you the best of luck.
-
They have barely appeared in the newer maps too. AFAIK, neither Dvarka Deepwood maps, Borgo maps, or Greenville Square have any whatsoever. Which would make Garden of Joy and new Haddonfield the most recent maps to have them at all.
Generally, they fixed an issue that they created themselves. As said by others, the vast majority was either a must-break or a must-not-break wall. There were a few that provided interesting choices, like on Midwich, but I got the impression they didn't quite know what to do with them to begin with.
-
Felix, ‘cause he looks like me kinda.
Leon technically looks more like me, but with him being licensed ‘n all he’s less appealing to me.

I still have my little theory that hatch spawns in Pale Rose specifically were chosen back when the map was the biggest in the game.
And now they spawn in the same areas, but the map is smaller.
Considering the gens used to spawn literally against the trial walls until recently, I think that goes further than just hatch spawns. I remember they essentially just sliced off the edges of the map to make it smaller, so assuming they never updated spawns along with it, it’s not very surprising that spawns were weird across the board on it.
-
That doesn’t change the situation that got you killed.
-
Good grief. I’m very sorry to read it happened again, and hope everyone who had to see that is doing okay.

Both Dvarka Deepwood, and both Decimated Borgo maps have gates that function differently from the standard too.
Also, if you went down because of that, I have to wonder if you had enough time to make it out anyway.
In any case, consider it a learning experience, I guess.

It’s a power. Powers don’t get cosmetics. Killers like Slinger are lucky because his regular weapon is also where his power comes from.
