"Someone who can't perform well with demo/trapper/billy is a bad killer."
This doesn't make sense. Some players just want to stick to their mains. I am terrible with Demo, and Trapper, because I don't enjoy playing them. I am kind of "okay" with Billy, but I basically never play him. Does that make me a bad killer? I don't think so.

He’s just the killer you play if your pissed off or don’t want to try. I know I’ve done that a couple of times
*Cries in SWF Tryhards teams that I always get when trying to play Freddy*...

Yes, it is.
-
I wish I was as lucky as you are. I know it can be annoying to get the same killer multiple times, but just try to enjoy those trials... in your dreams.

"Perfectly balanced... as all things should be".

"Is DS really the right thing to nerf?"
Yes, it is. 60 seconds of invincibility is not okay. It never was, and never will be.

I went against a forever Freddy recently, what rank are you cuz it might have been you.
This girl brought in a key ( whilst it was green I know killers can't see it, I think they should introduce thematic changes so green keys look different and it's easy to spot )and Instantly the pressure was on. I hate keys as a survivor, as they bring out the worst in people. If I am memeing with my mates and they bring a key I will either lobby dodge or tell them to swap it out. They just aren't fun.
The forever Freddy had a nasty time on the map that looks slightly like haddonfield without the fences. It has that weird building that has a floor beneath it and the holes in the ground floor to drop down (sometimes basement spawns on the lower floor).
I looped him for a while and me and my mate actually tryharded when we would've liked to play nice. Me and my mate escaped. 1 suicide early. The rest on death hook by 2 gens left. I managed to just loop this guy and me and my mate took pressure of each other (I had self care and he had a medkit). The Rando died due to us not being able to run in and take agro due to not knowing where he was or it could've been a 3 escape.
Yeah forever Freddy sucks, but it can be countered. (And yes we were for once a scummy 2 man swf, but usually we are chill and ensure the killer get at least 1 kill as one of us will suicide every game to ensure they get their points if they were having a tough game)
I am sorry, but I have no memory of such game. I don't think it was me. I am Rank 3, by the way.
-
"I can kinda see why someone wouldn't enjoy versing a forever Freddy"
When I use this build, no one ever gives up. But then again, I only run Forever Freddy if someone is holding a key, and this players are so confident in their little "key escape" that I doubt they would ever give up, even if they are playing against the strongest killers.
As a survivor, it will take A LOT for me to DC. Not even the killer I hate most, Ghostface, is enough to make me give up.

I have played as her. Admittedly not a massive sample (maybe 15-20 games)?
Oh, I see. It is a not a massive sample, but not that bad either. Which killer is your main?

If you're playing Spirit against me then congratulations - you can have the game.
I actually can't fathom what they were thinking with this killer. Can phase so regularly, pop out of thin air, has no hard counter and to top it all off - the skill threshold is incredibly low.
I'm not entertaining Spirit games any more. Any time I see a Spirit I'm refusing to play.
If I may, why don't you play as her instead of against her?
Trust me, it will be a good experience. You get to have fun and understand her better.

You guys all speak as if i didn't know that. But it's a team of 4 survivors, and most won't gen rush, even in red ranks.
ATM, red ranks survivors are terrible, they don't know how to play, they don't know the timings, they don't know how to flashlight/pallet saves, they fail skill checks too often and they unhook you in front of the killer without BT.
Play one month exclusively soloQ/duoQ and enjoy the games you will get...
"But it's a team of 4 survivors, and most won't gen rush, even in red ranks."
Oh, I wish I could go against such teams. Most survivors will gen rush if they can, especially in red ranks. My last game literally had 2 toolboxes, one of them with a BNP.
-
Killer: Freddy.
Survivor: Claudette.
There isn't much explaining to do here. They are my mains, and over the years I've grown attached to them.
-
The thing is, DBD has the lack of information built into the core of the game. Using comms is a huge boost, where it shouldn't be. But I don't know how to fix it. I am not sure if it is even possible to fix it.
-
"Hes not gutted. Hes still A tier easily. If you cant play him, thats fine, but it doesnt mean hes bad in any way, shape, or form."
Yes, our Billy boi still is one of the strongest killers in the game. However, in my opinion, his changes were stupid, unnecessary and should be reverted.

I voted for Moonrise because I really loved the aesthetics of the lunar vessels and all. Close second would be Hallows Eve with the pustula flowers.
i wasn’t around for every event though, so don’t really know anything from before Clowns release..
Moonrise was, without a doubt, one of the best events! I remember scouring the map as Old Freddy, looking for the lamps.
I wasn't around for every single event, but I've watched so many videos that I think I know more about them than those who actually played it.

Yea I take pleasure in knowing that swing chains paint brush freddys are just taking their anger out on the next match because they just got their ass whopped.
Not exactly. Take this match, for example. It was my first match of the day, and as soon as I join the lobby someone is already holding a key. I know it is Swing Chains and Jump Rope instead of Red Paint Brush, but people complain about this combo, don't they?

I agree with everyone else, but I will say that the game is deffo not survivor sided. I know it's the classic meme that survivor and killer mains are always going to argue against the other side, but it has literally been proven that killers have (at red ranks) an average of 65% w/r compared to the 35% w/r survivors have.
Well, it is okay. We all have our own opinions. Thanks for saying it in a respectful manner, I appreciate it. The killer main vs survivor main situation gets really complicated sometimes.

I'm playing Spirit, so I find no one ever expects it lol. It's such an unpleasant surprise for them :)
Now that you've mentioned it, I haven't seen a Spirit running Blood Warden in a very long time. I guess you are right, the surprise factor must get them good.
-
Yes, it is a truly gloriuos combo. A gift from the Entity, I dare say.
Ah, the memories... Freddy has been my main ever since I first started playing, and back then I had no teachable perks unlocked. This combo (together with Bitter Murmur, of course) saved my life countless of times.
-
This was way before my time, as I first started playing during the last Winter Solstice event, and back then then things were not as bad as the Dark Times, but they weren't perfect either (I am talking to you, Old Legion). However, I have watched plenty of videos and heard the stories.
I am going to say something crazy here, but if it was possible I would like to "return" to the old versions of DBD to experience it for myself. I don't know why, but I would love to.
-
Ghostface.
His reveal mechanic is... frustrating.
-
If you ever see me in one of those lobbies, please don't dodge. I am a nice Claudette main, I swear.
-
Keys are the only thing capable of making me change my usual build to the Forever Freddy one. You want the game to end earlier? Sorry, it won't.
-
Thank you. It is a very old screenshot, but a victory will always be a victory, right?

That's like asking why I'm obsessed with posting cows at any given opportunity when I should really just stop; I just kinda have to.
This post has more cows than Coldwind Farm... and I love it :)
-
"However I found it really stupid that the devs gave EVERYBODY those cosmetics, and now they are meaningless because everybody has them."
I do not understand this line of thought. Take the 4th anniversary crowns, for example. It wasn't a difficult objective, but we all worked for it, didn't we? I couldn't care less if they give it for free to everybody. It still has a special meaning, because you know you worked for it back in the day. How is it different from your Howling Grounds and Scorching Summer BBQ cosmetics?

Well, 5 pages of cows... And I am not complaining.

Allow me to throw a suggestion in here. A pretty simple one: revert Remember Me.
Remember Me
Each time you hit your Obsession, you increase the opening time of the Exit Gates by 5 seconds up to a maximum of 20/25/30 additional seconds.
The Obsession is not affected by Remember Me.
You can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.
"You don't remember? You must. You're my number one, and you'll never wake up again." — Freddy Krueger
-
My dear Freddy is the reason I bought DBD in the first place. He has been my main ever since I first started playing, and back then he was regarded as the "weakest" killer in the game (something that I never agreed with).
As for survivor, my main is Claudette. She is good for stealth, she has an interesting backstory, she is one of the OGs, and she is also really pretty. She is perfect.
-
Honestly, anyone brave enough to play killer deserves respect. No matter the character. No matter the build.

No, they would be no killers 😂
The perfect scenario for survivors, is it not? After all, you can't get killed if there are no killers.

This could have been a SWF lobby. That's nothing extraordinary. But when I queue solo as a rank 4 survivor in a lobby full of rank 20's that's completely broken.
SWF? Well, there were 2 last second switches and they were somewhat coordinated, so maybe you are right. Like I said, it is not that bad. I just posted it for comparison.

Ghostface.
He has been the bane of my existence since his PTB (even though he was extremely weak back then). Most people don't have problems with Ghostface, but I certainly do.
-
"A pay-to-win perk on a licensed DLC"
Not exactly. as we have the Shrine of Secrets for a reason.
"BBQ was released when survivors were much stronger along with maps. Maps were also easier to hide."
That is correct, but doesn't change a thing. Survivors are still stronger than killers, especially SWF groups. And you can still hide pretty well on most maps, if you want to.
"Too much advantage for a perk"
The thing is, most killers use BBQ for the bonus BPs, because the grind can be a nightmare sometimes. Besides, you can easily counter BBQ by hiding in a locker for a few seconds. Or you can be near the killer, it is up to you. BBQ isn't broken and definitely doesn't need a nerf.
-
Are you sure about that? As far as I am concerned, Enduring + Spirit Fury fell out of favor long ago.
-
Of course it isn't. These add-ons are overrated.
-
1 is enough.
-
Here is mine.
-
Badham is a survivor sided map. And Doctor is mid tier, at best. Pre drop pallets and you should be fine. Unless we are talking about a hardcore Doctor main who has been playing him since his release on 2017. But that is very unlikely.
-
Female faces of DBD? Claudette, and Meg, no questions about it. You have to go with the OGs.

I got my Adept Blight achievement on Lery's. You can do a thing or two, but it is very frustrating.

Honestly, I don't know.
-
"A good nerf for spirit is making her phase directional"
That is a terrible idea. Why? Because that is exactly how it used to be. And it was weak. It was bad. You want to change the Spirit instead of adapting? Fine, go ahead. But don't gut her in the process.
-
And here is mine.
-
This topic is... complicated. I do think that Legacy skins should return, but not like that. I think there should be a way for us to earn them, instead of buying.
