Honestly I think that's a good thing. Especially since you're talking about hatch, which is essentially a roll of the die.
The pip system is heavily flawed. But getting a guaranteed black pip for yeeting through the hatch is not a good idea.
Heavily flawed? So you are telling me that I am not supposed to get 83 pips after a game that didn't load?
"Pretty good job so far"

Ace in the Hole.

Yes, this perk needs a buff as soon as possible.
-
Lery's used to be my favourite map, until the rework ruined it.
In my opinion, the most unfun map in the game is Dead Dawg Saloon.

The bear is here, so as much as I hate to break my own rules I think I can just this once.
Yay! I am honoured that my smol bear made the cute cow return, even if it is just this time.

That sad moment when you still don't have over a thousand posts...
Would it be okay for you to make an exception?
-
A huge disappointment

I haven't seen a sudden increase of tunneling, but many players have complained about it, so a DS change is debatable. But Trickster? He needs buffs. I haven't seen such a weak killer since PTB Ghostface.

Talking about the general pallet spawns. Has anyone noticed that when you play Freddy with the pallet addon, on the Silent hill map, that there are no free pallet spawns? You can only set a fake pallet, when you break one.
Indeed. That is why I use Brutal Strength every time I play Pallet Freddy.

Fair enough. It would be nice if they at least brightened up her shirt a bit. Another major issue was with the moonlight offerings not working on indoor maps.
I would like to see splinters return though. I have no clue why they removed them
Oh, Moonlight offerings are also interesting. I think Claudette's shirt could be brightened up if Moonlight offerings were to return, because we both know a few players here and there would try to use the New Moon Bouquet and literally disappear. Also, I think the Full Moon Bouquet should have its rarity decreased to "rare".
As for Splinters, I agree. I really want them back and just thinking about kinda makes me angry because of how many Bloodpoints I've spent trying to stockpile them.

Not even once.

*Laughs in cigar box*
Yeah, that works too :)
You see, there are tools to deal with Blendettes (and this comes from a Claudette main). I don't think the fact that they sometimes are hard to see should prevent the old and scarier ambience from returning.
Well, you know me, my friend. There are lots of things that I would like to bring back to the game, and this is definitely one of them.
-
I am pretty sure it is a feature.

@Phasmamain said:
I’d rather it not return since blendettes are already hard to see

"I remember how things were in 2016 and it just looked way scarier than it does now."
That is correct, and I dare say not only the maps, but the lobby and main menu as well. The game had a much better, and creepy, aesthetic. It should return.

Sorry guys. Don’t hate me. 🤣🤣🤣
Well, I can say the same about my babe. Freddy is low on most lists (not all, but most) and I really don't like that.
-
I agree that console players deserve it, but I don't think it will happen. See, they won't even give Legacy back to players who lost them. I doubt they will do something about other exclusives.

I always feel like I’m possibly one of the only people that enjoyed original Freddy... I at least loved the dream pull mechanic. I’ve found him quite boring since his rework and strong or not I have zero reason to play him except for maybe a dream demon daily which is essentially just smack 4 people as Freddy..

Nope, you´re not the only one. Freddy was my main, before they turned him into something else. Now i only play him for dailys.
I wouldn´t mind, if they changed him back to the original concept. But with some QoL changes.

I was also an original Freddy Main and I was very good with him (if I say so myself). I had little problem wrecking strong red rank teams because I knew how to make getting gens repaired a total nightmare for survivors, and buy myself all the time I needed to make up for Freddy’s shortcomings.
You are not alone, my friends. Freddy has been my main ever since I first started playing, prior to his rework. I loved Old Freddy and I really want him back. But I don't dislike his new power, and still play him more than any other killer.

I was debating on putting Freddy in the best tier because I never play against him & when I do it's usually pretty fun other than the ridiculous lunge he almost always seems to have.
Which he doesn't, actually. But my babe is a smol boi, and his weapon is short, so his lunge looks weird. But it is the same as every killer.

Breakable walls.
A bad and annoying mechanic, no matter the map.

I wish I could have that same kind of enjoyment with him.
I love Freddy as a character, in the movies, but as soon as I see the sleep timer around my portrait years of my life start ticking down.
Well, Old Freddy was better in that aspect since he was closer to what Freddy is in the movies.

Yeah, but you've got Freddy in your picture.
You're a wild card and I don't know what you're gonna do next.
The thing is, Freddy has been my main ever since I first started playing DBD. He is my favourite character and seeing him on a trial is always a pleasant experience, no matter if I am playing as him or against him.

I love the way survivors feel oblivious when against Freddy. Me every time: "Where are you going? Hello? I'm right behind you... Not anymore, now I'm in front of you just teleported..."😂
And that's the spirit! It is why I loved to use Pill Bottle with Old Freddy. Survivors couldn't see you during the transition, and then you just appeared out of nowhere right in front of them. I had so much fun with that add-on.
-
First, I would need a mori, Rancor, or Devour Hope. Then I would have to down a Jane. And, right before killing her, I would scream:
"Welcome to prime time, #########!"

Nice to see my babe in A Tier. You are a player that deserves respect, my friend :)

Old Freddy was weak but also so fun. I have not problem with new Freddy but old version was better. He was needed only little buffs, not rework :( Him invisible power was best.
Indeed. A full rework was unnecessary, he only required a few buffs and QoL improvements. I hope one day the devs add an options for us to play as him again. I really miss my old killer.

Hey if it's a sacrifice one you can pretend it's one of the old dailies that used to take multiple matches to complete.
Honestly, I believe they should bring the old, longer dailies back and increase the rewards. I mean, it is an incentive to play, right? Then why not make it better?
-
Allow me to share mine.
Now, let me explain something: I really enjoyed playing Doctor and Billy with their previous versions. Both of them got changed and I just haven't played them enough to form a new opinion. That is why they have a special tier.
-
Gladly.
-
Cute but sad moments? Well, there was that story that I've posted in the "Wholesome moments" thread.
Basically, a Doctor decided to spare baby Claudette me. I was so happy that I had made a friend... until he grabbed me mid-air as I was leaving through the hatch and killed me.

I was just about to post this. Maybe one day...
For now, we can only dream about it. But never lose hope, my friend.
-
It was December of 2018.
As a survivor, my first game was as Claudette against a Huntress. Or maybe that was my second game. I don't really know, it is hard to say. All that I know is that I was scared to death, but at the same time I was enjoying the experience. After a few games, I decided to switch to killer.
As a killer, my first game was as Old Freddy on Torment Creek. I don't exactly remember what happened on that trial, of if I even managed to sacrifice someone. But I do remember that I instantly fell in love with the "killer experience" and Old Freddy's power, so I kept playing for hours on end.
-
The option to play as Old Freddy again.
-
Freddy with the P3 outfit.
Perks: BBQ, Pop Goes the Weasel, Corrupt Intervention. The last perk keeps changing, but it is usually Hex: Ruin or Brutal Strength.
Add-ons: Jump Rope and Nancy's Masterpiece or Swing Chains and Nancy's Sketch.
-
When I read this title I thought you were going to talk about a Borrowed Time glitch.
Regarding the actual topic, I would suggest playing killer.
-
I never had many problems with the struggle mechanic, but overall I think it is a good change.
-
It is balanced. Its small nerf should be reverted, but it is not a big deal. This perk is fine.
-
"Why not show who the killer is so we can back out unless you end the one hit drop."
That is how it used to work, in the early days of the game. You couldn't lobby dodge, of course, but you could prepare to fight against an one hit down killer. How, you wonder? Well, initially hooks were tied to the killer, not the realm.
Survivors quickly learnt that they could identify a Killer by taking a look at the design of the nearest Hook shortly after spawning. Because of that, killers relying on the element of surprise were revealed too early to the Survivors and popular tactics, like to hold off on using one's Power if it made distinct noises to disguise one's identity for as long as possible, were nullified.
The Developers realised this and changed Hooks to no longer be tied to a Killer prior to the release of the Halloween Chapter. They were from then on bound to the Realm.
-
It is settled, then. I hope we both get better games today.

Killer QoL is the lowest it's ever been. Survivor movement is jank as hell, you still can't track people, and more than every you get roasted for playing perkless trapper.
Glad to see I am not the only one who thinks that killer experience right now is not the best its ever been. Because it definitely isn't.

Yeah, I also think, in retrospect, some QoL-Changes and Buffs would have been enough. Stuff like that Survivors cannot finish actions when they are set asleep for example. Basically, changes which would lead Freddy-players to not focus on the Endgame most of the time (a lot of Freddy-players played like that, just waiting until Endgame when it was more difficult to wake up and getting a win with NOED) by buffing/improving him during the game, and a method to get awake during Endgame for Survivors.
In the end, we will have to wait, what they will do to him. I am always fine with keeping Freddy strong, but it would be nice if players have to invest some time in playing him to be good with him.
Glad to see you agree with me. I was thinking about the Incapacitated status effect from the Twins during the Dream Transition, or something similar. It would have been a great change. Perhaps it yet may be, who knows exactly what the devs are going to do to him. As unlikely as it is, if the devs somehow bring Old Freddy back I will cry tears of joy.
As for Endgame builds, I cannot complain about them because NOED + Blood Warden combo saved me countless of times. It was an interesting build, especially back then when there was no EGC.

I actually didn’t mind that one. Bamboozle and Pop are great perks and coulophobia works wonders with his mangled add on.
I also main clown so I am decent with him
I got mine on Disturbed Ward, and Bamboozle definitely saved my life during that match. Pop was also extremely useful and I suppose Coulrophobia did its job.
Yeah, going for your main's adept is always nice because you used to their powers. When I was trying to get Adept Nightmare, all I had was Fire Up. I only got the achievement because I am decent with Freddy.
-
I finished it a few days ago, and by the Entity, the grind is insane. But good news, they are going to reduce the grind in the future.

The main problem is not that he is OP. There are very few people who say that Freddy is OP.
The main concern is that he is way too easy for how much he can do. Like, I dont like playing Freddy, I had him on P3-1 for a very long time. And sometimes I did Dalies with him, with Fire Up 1. And I still got a 4K in most of my games. Granted, those are only a handful, but I should not get 4Ks when playing a Killer with only a weak Tier 1-Perk.
The Devs just gave him everything without any Drawback. That is the problem.
I cannot argue with that, but at the same time I don't want him to get the "Billy Treatment". Or worse.
Ah, look at me now, defending a power which I never wanted in the first place. You know, I wasn't very supportive of his rework back on 2019, I just wanted a few buffs and QoL improvements. And now, I am scared of a major nerf. Well, I suppose things change.
