If they are not touching gens, such actions will eventually backfire. Eventually their resources will end, and when that happens, they will die.
-
Since we got the Shock Splinter, I wouldn't mind having the other Splinters.
I am still angry that they got removed, so I think this would be some sort of compensation.
It is not the same thing, but it is better than nothing.
-
That sounds extremely unbalanced, to be honest. While Bloodlust remains a necessity from time to time, it shouldn't activate instantly.

There are no killer sided maps, so get over it.
Sadly, not anymore. But I remember the good ole' days when Lery's and The Game were deadly.
-
Countless reasons, actually.
Take Piggy, for example. She is a weak killer, but her kill rates are impressive. My guess is that most survivors have no idea what to do against her, since it is possible to reach Red Ranks without ever seeing one.

You know you actually bring up some fair points. If you put it into better words I’m sure some people would actually agree with you.
So it would seem. Unfortunately, the "survivor main" thingy makes it...difficult.

Pretty good job so far, buddy :)

I’ve seen gameplay and the closest thing I can compare it to is slamming my head against a brick wall
Agreed. And Infinite Mending Legion was the worst of it all. That... thing was disturbing.
Like, really disturbing:

well yea.. I don't get that screen though. is that how it looks on console or MS store? I'm playing on Steam version.
It was an old thing, before the emblem system.
-
Make it smaller and it won't work. It has been tested before, you guys know it:
They wouldn't have reverted the change if it worked.
Think, guys, think!

Luckily I joined around demise of the faithful so I just managed to avoid it. Still had to deal with ormond though
At least Ormond was good for survivors.
But Old Legion....Ah, my friend, Old Legion was hell, at best.
-
Ghostface. He has been the bane of my existence ever since his PTB, and back then he was the worst killer in the game.
-
Just like...this?
-
I don't mind it, to be honest. She was originally made to be easily confused with a survivor, was she not? I would like if she could keep that aspect, even with an old animation.
A little taste from the past is always a good thing.

Even as a Jeff main darkness among us is 100% the worst
The advantage of being a new player at the time, was that it took me a while to understand how broken those things were.

Off the top of my head, definitely not a complete list here...
The original Pale Rose was absolutely gigantic. Killers still hate some of the larger maps in the game because of how hard they are to patrol and Pale Rose was much bigger than anything we have now. The funny thing is the map was so large it was awful for Survivors too because it took so long to get anywhere.
The new perks were garbage. Ace is still considered one of the worst Survivors for teachables and that's after they've buffed things Open-Handed and Ace in the Hole multiple times. You'd think introducing Ruin alone would have made the chapter amazing, but iirc Ruin didn't actually work properly on release. And even if it had, great skill checks were almost impossible to miss back then so it still would have been a bad perk. The only perk that was halfway decent at the time was Devour Hope, but it's original effect made it obvious when the killer was running it as soon as it got the first token.
The Hag herself was terrible on release. Current Hag is good at camping. Release Hag was only good for camping. Her teleport was too slow to do anything else.
Terrible map, terrible killer, terrible survivor. And that was just the new content. The worst part was all the game-breaking bugs with older stuff. Things like the Nurse being totally unable to blink through random areas on certain maps on one side, or the Hag being completely immune to DS on the other. And to top if off, everyone figured out how to glitch and stack any perk and use any killer power on any character. Although supposedly that was on old exploit, this was the chapter that the secret got out and everyone learned how to use ridiculous BS like Myers with a Chainsaw running Bond/Empathy. Truly a miserable time to be playing DBD (or a great time to quit it).
For a moment I had forgotten that Devour Hope used to affect Generators.
-
Well, it is hard to say. When I first started playing DBD, Darkness Among Us was the most recent chapter, and that chapter was definitely not the best.
Old Ormond was good for survivors but a nightmare for killers, Legion's power was a monstrosity, and Jeff...Well, Jeff was alright.
However, I still think All-Kill was the worst Chapter ever. It might have lacked game-breaking bugs, but its content was very bad. We got:
-A terrible killer which doesn't even fit the game to begin with.
-A forgettable survivor, easily outshined by both the old and the newer cast.
-No new map.
If that isn't the worst chapter content-wise, I don't know what it is.
-
Nah, Bubba isn't OP. He never was, and he probably never will be.
-
It is because of the "Bloodpoint economy" which, in my opinion, is a very weird and flawed excuse.
If the Bloodpoint economy was really a thing, they wouldn't have done a Blood Feast back in 2017.
-
The Realm Beyond, unsurprisingly, butchered those maps. Just like all of the others.
-
A relatively nice chapter when it comes to content, but really bad when it comes to performance.
-
I shall only accept a Blood Feast. No more, no less.

I seem to get Wraith on Ormond a lot. Well I guess I actually get him a lot on every map that exists, there's never been a map I haven't gotten him on like twenty times or more by now. But for some reason I kind of associate him with Ormond as well.
Why was that map considered difficult for killers before? What changed?
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2287244#Comment_2287244
To each their own. :P
Yeah, I kinda associate Ormond with Wraith too, but it is because of that specific memory.

A long time ago or recently? I've been camped by the Wraith countless times, which is one of the reasons why I hate him. But it's gotten much worse since his buff. He and Leatherface are generally the only characters I see camping these days.
A long time, literally the first time I got camped by a killer. It happened when I first started playing DBD, back in 2018. That Wraith was having a very rough time on Old Ormond, which was a very bad map for killers, so he decided to secure a kill.
EDIT: By the way, this was Old Ormond. A map hated by most killers, if not all of them.
-
My least favourite map is Dead Dawg Saloon. That...thing should not exist to begin with.
On the opposite side of the spectrum, Old Lery's was my favourite map for a very long time, both as survivor and killer. Until the rework ruined. Now I don't even know anymore.

Ah you're welcome. There's a difference between losing because the player was cheap (Wraith, Bubba) and losing because the player was good with a complicated character (Freddy, Pyramid Head).
Now that you've mentioned, Wraith was the first killer that camped me, back on Old Ormond.

I have been up against some pretty damn good skilled Freddie's. But I do see alot of them not use the generators to their advantage. I rarely see a Freddy fake coming out of a gen. That is an awesome jump scare lol.
Ah yes, the classic Dream Projection Mindgame. I love when I do it, or when a Freddy does it against me!

It’s not wrong you just don’t like it. There’s a difference. Sadly today people lack common sense.
It is extremely wrong. A generalization is never right. Never.
-
Devs talking to us is nothing but an illusion, something that probably won't happen.
-
I don't really know what to say here, because I understand how it is to be extremely frustrated with the game, but I don't agree with a single word of what you've said.
-
Well, that is usually what happens when a new killer releases.

I did get a camping Freddy last night that was really annoying. But that doesn't happen often, I have to admit that I find Freddy to be a relatively frustrating opponent because most of the players who use him are skilled and play more unpredictably.
A camping Freddy truly is a rare experience. But then again, it always was. He was never a good camper.
And I glad to see you think us Freddy mains are skilled. Such compliments are rare. I usually receive...well, you know. So I thank you for that <3

it's similar to why all freddys play so toxic, they're tryhards but not good at the game so pick a easy and good killer to get easy wins

Exactly.
More than anything the depip squad exposed how powerful survivors are when they sit on gens.
Precisely. Very few killers managed to get a safety against the Depip Squad. The first was a Freddy, and I think a Huntress did it too.
Or was it a Nurse? I don't even remember.

Probably not. I don’t remember ever seeing your name and I was a low rank at the time
Well, that is both good and bad at the same. Glad that I wasn't the one responsible for a boring trial, but it would've been nice to play with you.

Only if you really like the character.

Yeah I do remember one of my 2 matches against old Freddy was an Ivory mori Freddy with dying light. It wasn’t fun
I hope that wasn't me. It was never part of my build, but I had so many perks with Freddy that it is impossible to remember every single loadout.

hard no
darkness among us
nightmare on elmstreet
binding of kin
All-Kill
all much worse than this current chapter and if the optimization gets fixed it'll be one of the best DLC's because what is featured in the DLC is really good an A tier killer and overall decent perks
I may agree with some of them, but A Nightmare on Elm Street was literally perfect on release. Mentioning it as one of the worst chapters is just wrong.

Okay if GeneralV misses it you know it was bad. But yeah I agree the rework went about as well as Freddy’s
If I miss it you know it was bad? But I don't miss it.
-
Old Dying Light is probably the only thing from the past that I do not miss.
However, they've done a very bad job reworking it. Because by the time you get the effect the OG one provided, it does not matter anymore.

Obviously fun is subjective but balance wise he's currently the most balanced he's ever been with maybe 1 or 2 addons needing slight nerfs or reworks
Yeah, I kinda agree and disagree at the same time.
-
Well, it proves what the Depip Squad had already proved. At the highest level of play, Survivors are stronger.

Tbh I do kinda miss old ruin skillchecks, back when it was an actual skill check, but maybe that's nostalgia talking. I definitely hate playing against new Ruin a lot more though just because it can make matches slow to a ######### crawl and it turns into "who can stay awake the longest".
Same, my friend. Same.

Thanks for the build suggestion!

Free wins for killers at low ranks is healthy?
Since when was Ruin a free win? It was, mostly, RNG. Get a bad totem spawn and you are screwed, even on low ranks. Besides, you wouldn't see Ruin on your very first trials unless matchmaking was weird or the killer was a Hag.
