My first mori actually came from a level 1 Devour Hope. Obviously the killer was a Hag, and if am not mistaken the map was the old The Game.
I had no idea that moris were a thing back then, and I just stood there in shock as she devoured me.
-
Nope.

god damn, stuff changed so much
Unfortunately, yes. Many things have changed.

They are fun to see.
Bubba and Wraith in the very bottom, Billy at the top.

You know, I've always been a bit curious about this. What makes you like the remake of A Nightmare On Elm Street more than the original film?
Well, there are many reasons, actually. From Freddy's appearance to the whole mystery of his innocence or not (which should have ended with Freddy being innocent, by the way).
However, the one thing that matters the most is the remake's darker approach. I find it much better than Freddy's "funny" approach in the original movies (not every single scene had it, but you get the idea).
-
You know, the words "rework" and "changes" are very complicated for me, especially when it comes to DBD.
However, if there is one thing that the devs got right was Decisive Strike.
Even as an old fashioned player, I cannot forget how much trouble this perk has caused me in the past. Being forced to dribble survivors to a hook, which later turned into 60 seconds of full invincibility was very annoying.
And now, now we have peace.

They could leave his power or change it, that I don't mind. I just want red and green sweater with Robert Englunds look. I don't care for the remake but thats not the point.
Ah well, in that case I am pretty sure he could be a skin, if the ANOES license wasn't such a mess.

Given all the changes the game has undergone through the years? Yes, it would be. KYF would be one thing, but the bots would either have to be able to adapt to different mechanics (despite having the same base code), or the devs would need to code bots for each version of the game.
Yeah, that is true. Take the version that I want, for example (1.8.0).
Chases played differently back then, so that is already a whole new code to do.
EDIT: A picture of 1.8.0, because that version deserves to be praised.

that would be nice as well but wouldnt happen for dbd sadly. "would be too much work"
Well, I am pretty sure the packages and files from older versions still exist, they would have to make them available and add the bots.
The bots themselves would take a huge amount of work, but if BVHR was going to move to a whole new game, I believe they would spare the time to do it.

Even with old power? :0
If you take it from a lore perspective, it makes much more sense for 2010 Freddy to have his old power.
-
I wouldn't use it myself, but I think it should be done. Pretty sure many ANOES fans would like it, I just happen to prefer the remake over the original movies.
-
I doubt anyone actually believes that Infinite Tier 3 is overpowered.
They are probably just salty because they've lost a trial or two.

Agreed. Except the first point, because they are usually not hidden.
-
Yeah, sure. Just leave the original game with bots and all its versions playable.
At least I get to enjoy my personal 1.8.0 paradise while everyone else goes to DBD 2.
-
I will burn this Fog down, before I spend another minute dealing with these changes.

My games have been pretty bad for the last 3 or 4 sessions. Almost every game has gone to trash for one reason or another. Feels like dbd is becoming harder and harder to enjoy.
I know how it feels. For different reasons, those days that you speak of turned into weeks for me, and from weeks to months.
Truth be told, I can't seem to enjoy DBD anymore.

Been running it since the chapter came out. It has given me so many free hits and downs! It's funny how someone thinks they can get a flashlight save and keep trying even after I whack them once. It's my new favorite killer perk since almost every lobby has one or two flashlights.
Yeah, I've also been running it since the new chapter, but that is because ever lobby has a damn flashlight.
It is funny to hit someone as they attempt to blind you.

Gotta agree with you on that one. A sudden Devour Hope is definitely a "oh #########" moment.

25 on Freddy, and that is it. I am not playing much lately, certainly not enough to keep hoarding cakes.
-
Lightborn it is.
-
I want a tracker, because we barely have those anymore.

As someone who deeply despises the EGC, this suggestion is scary.
@[Deleted User] said:
I used to really like that idea as well. But then @GeneralV pointed out that at the moment, there literally isn't a game-state in which two Willing Players, at least one Survivor, and one Killer, are able to permanently prolong the match should they choose (Until a hard-set server timeout). If they're casual enough to just want to frolic around in a Trial. While also taking into account the Killer might be actively body-blocking one or more Survivors, and that one or more other Survivors are looking to also proceed out of the Trial.
Well...technically it was you who pointed that out. I was just complaining about the EGC, as I often do.

Moris do nothing, but it really indicates the killer's intention this match. You don't bring a mori and think "Oh, I hope to have fun now."
You bring a mori because you want to find a way to drag the game out for as long as humanly possible while playing Spirit with Mother-Daughter add-ons.
*Laughs in bringing a mori because you like the animation*
-
Well, I understand how you feel about the event, though not for the same reasons.

I personally don't like Hag but that's a terrible, terrible way of balancing her. It would absolutely kill her.
Well, it wasn't 100% impossible to play her when this used to be a thing.
Just...unnecessarily bad.

Whats wrong with your voice? As long as you have knowledge and can confidently talk about the killer, thats fine by me
My voice is absolutely terrible, and microphones just make it even worse.
-
Agreed. That is something that must not return.
And trust me, if I am saying that something must stay in the past, then it HAS to stay in the past.
-
You basically got BVHR'ed.
-
Thankfully I never seem to get it, because the layout is absolutely garbage.
I still have no idea how the map looks in Freddy's Dream World, and I hope to see it on a picture or video instead of finding out myself.
-
MYC on Hag is sweet.
Very sweet.

Old Freddy was fun and unique. He needed some buffs.
New Freddy is stronger Clown.
Answer is easy.
Precisely.

@Huge_Bush said:
@GeneralV would know the answer.
And that I do, my friend.
The power that Freddy truly deserves, is the power that he had on-release. That was, in my honest opinion, a perfectly designed power: unique, fun and viable, with clear room for counterplay.
Should you desire to see it in action:

I just realised that when OP posted this thread I wasn't even aware of DBD's existence...

Hag needs a proper rework. Even if we ignore the core problem with hooks. Her power is all about getting nearly guaranteed hits if a trap that can only be interacted with with flashlights goes off.
Make hag 115 percent killer and have it so that after teleporting hag cannot attack for X time (probably just 1 - 2 seconds). Hags then allow her to navigate quickly throughout the map and she turns into a standard killer in chase.
Obviously other changes would be needed, but that's where I'd start.
"after teleporting hag cannot attack for X time (probably just 1 - 2 seconds)"
You know that her power used to be like that, right?
-
Every original Dream Demon of the Fog deserves such praise.

No, not exactly.

Are you still playing as them?
Sometimes. I am barely playing DBD at all, recently. But when I do, it is not unusual for me to play Piggy for a trial or two.
-
I don't do that unless the person happens to be the obsession and I have STBFL. And even then, they will get hooked eventually.

Pig is nice.
-
This sounds like a very interesting idea! I would love to be the "Freddy main voice", a pity that my voice itself is utter garbage.
-
Yes, we are...
But honestly, more than half of it is ignored, so it doesn't really matter.
-
18 on Freddy...I think. Haven't played much recently.
Edit: I actually have 25.
-
It was the year of 2018. I was playing Friday the 13th: The Game with a friend. Jason wasn't really doing anything so we just kept talking, and when I asked him about game suggestions he mentioned Dead by Daylight. I bought it 1 month later.
-
This survey was the first in which I answered that I am currently Dissatisfied with Dead by Daylight. And it hurts me to answer that.
-
I only saw this happening once, and it was because I did it on accident, during one of my attempts at Adept Bubba.
I left the match because dinner was ready, and I only realised that I took the guy's medkit when it was already too late.
-
I got my Piggy to P3.
My mission is done.
