You nailed it man. Pre-fixed (i say fixed instead of nerf due to how much bs she was before) Spirit was literally braindead easy mode - just stand still bruh and easy 4ks. Not to say that she's weak now, due to the fact that the remaining spirit players often run the strongest addons.

No good Spirit player "abuse" MDR. Only people that rely on it too much use it that way. Also, are we really complaining about activation charge speed add ons? They're good but come on, abusing them, really?
Sounds like you're one of those guys that was so happy after the Spirit nerf was announced and felt disappointed when you figured out she wasn't completely nerfed to the ground. You have counterplay, it just isn't mindless easy counterplay that consists predropping pallet after pallet against a Clown, so quit thinking the game revolves around you and learn how to play against her. Sorry I have to break it to you, but it's just true.

I tried it, and boy is it strong lol. Even against good survivors, it almost consistently causes them to stutter on a gen and activate Dead Mans
It can be not as effective against a well coordinated SWF as they can tell their team that Spirit is chasing them. The build will never work in comp DBD but against the average survivors, it is pretty powerful.

Given how she's much more balanced for the most part

Let me recommend Yakuyoke Amulet to be paired with Furin. Turns out survivors don’t do well with 8.5 seconds of phasing noise. This does reduce Spirit to about 150% movement speed, but I love this combination.
For this build I use Ruin, Undying, Thrill of the Hunt.
My usual build however is:
- Pain Resonance
- Ruin
- Save the Best for Last
Barbecue and Chili is always a must.
