Me being a 50/50 survivor/killer player, it is just so funny seeing all the crying from survivor mains and killer mains while I and the other 50/50 players are over here excited for the new things coming lol.

Honestly I'm all for a controversial PTB, I think the chaos is fun
I have to agree honestly lol.
-
I used to have this problem back in 2020 when I was new DBD, but eventually I just brute forced into matches and faced my fears. Now I am pretty much a 50/50 survivor killer player since then. That’s really all it’s about. I gotta say, I was way more anxious in the menu screen. Once I was in a match, all the anxiety just went away and I just played.
The best advice I can give you is this. Getting out of your comfort zone is important in life as a whole to take some leaps, not just playing DBD. You got this! 👍
-
I see absolutely no one complaining about these add ons, so I just don’t understand why BHVR even considers nerfing them.
-
Jesus Christ the amount of whining on these forums is so astronomical.
-
So they buff Adrenaline Vial without nerfing Alc Ring and other busted Blight add ons, but they nerf Billy’s only viable add ons? Yeah makes sense.
-
Well this aged well
-
As long as it’s optional I don’t see a problem with this.
-
Yes I had two games where someone DCed while I was going for adept Skull Merchant. I would’ve 4k’d those games too. I just wanna be done with playing this painful killer already 😭

i am sensing a female killer vibe (missing huntress) have you tried skull merchant?
Yes I have tried Skull Merchant and dozed off so hard. Probably the most boring killer I have ever witnessed.
-
I really want to have an Artist avatar, I’d like to flip back and forth between Spirit and her because those have been my two favorite killers for a long time.
-
If I had to state my favorite killer to play by month it would have to be this:
June 2020: Wraith
July 2020: Wraith
August 2020: Spirit
September 2020: Spirit
October 2020: Spirit
November 2020: Spirit
December 2020: Spirit
January 2021: Spirit
February 2021: Spirit
March 2021: Spirit
April 2021: Blight
May 2021: Blight
June 2021: Spirit
July 2021: Spirit
August 2021: Spirit
September 2021: Spirit
October 2021: Spirit
November 2021: Artist
December 2021: Artist
January 2022: Spirit
February 2022: Spirit
March 2022: Spirit
April 2022: Spirit
May 2022: Literally played one night for the whole month
June 2022: Artist
July 2022: Artist
August 2022: Spirit
September 2022: Spirit
October 2022: Spirit
November 2022: Spirit
December 2022: barely played
January 2023: Artist
February 2023: Artist
March 2023: Artist
So it’s safe to say Spirit and Artist were about the only two killers that I’ve really consistently “mained” for a long time.

You are sleeping hard on Wiretap. It’s very underrated, I would go as far to say it’s an under the radar S tier perk in solo queue mainly. You can get value out of that perk about every game.

I keep getting 4ks with her. Not sure what your issue is.
Sadako also had the highest kill rate and is one of the weakest killers in the game. Let’s stop basing everything off of whether you get 4k’s.
-
I am actually a little impressed with the changes. Usually the devs just slap nerfs on without actually giving some kind of compensation. cough Deathslinger cough
-
Wesker in the bottom tier???
-
I might give her another shot. I really hope this can tone down her 3 gen potential but make her stronger in other aspects. Seems like they will, I like the changes.

The killer's job is to find survivors and kill them, that's their primary options.
The survivor's job is to repair, and hide, help teammates. The 3 generators were nearby so we went into stealthy option, which is a part of survivor gameplay.
Thus saying, slugging is considered to be game hostage scenario because survivors aren't able to repair and help their teammates, yet killer doesn't use his option to hook survivors. So?
You are acting so ignorant. Slugging is not a bannable offense because they’ll eventually bleed out. Hiding and doing nothing keeps the game in progress for a long time potentially. It is and should be a bannable offense to do that for a long period of time.
-
You can never satisfy some people.
-
Looking at your build and assuming you play the 3-gen playstyle, it seems like you really love to make other players miserable and to get reactions from it. I don’t condone the survivors’ comments though, both sides are pathetic for this.
-
The problem with your argument is that the 3-gen strat isn’t just unfun for survivors, it’s unfun for the killer as well unless you find enjoyment making other player’s’ experiences worse, which it seems you do.

Maybe I remember it wrong but didn't you dislike Artist at first too and then started to play her more regularly during your off-time with Rin? :)
Personally, I love playing SM. I was always very jumpy with my Killers but she's the first where I think I could really settle with. Of course everyone's allowed to have their own opinion about her.
When Artist first released, I about did fall in love actually. Then after time I got bored of her and stopped playing her for a long time and then eventually got back into her.
In terms of what I’m playing currently, Artist is one of my favorites, I just really love her and her playstyle. Going for cross maps is so satisfying. I also find her fun to play against, but I do know a lot of people don’t which is understandable.
So I’m hoping I can find something redeeming about Skull Merchant. I don’t really mind her visuals that much as some people do because to me, human killers are probably the most scary due to them being the most realistic. She definitely needs changes and hopefully BHVR focuses on the right things.

Because people were healing to full in less than half a second.
Which yeah it was a reasonable nerf and I’m glad that it did, but the perk probably has so many more nerfs it can take at this point until it becomes dead.

Fair enough. I enjoy her personally (But I’m the same cretin who’s mained clown for over 2 years)
Merchant definitely excels at camping 3 gens but that’s equally a problem with perks like CoB and overcharge which reward the strategy as it is her power itself. I’ve been using brutal and fire up alongside her action speed add-on to have fun tearing through pallets in chase
I’m glad some people like her. Maybe she’ll grow on me but I just haven’t had really anything positive to say about her at the moment.

No it hasn't. It was nerfed twice; the first nerf reduced the healing speed bonus when healing someone else or being healed by someone else to 75% and the second nerf reduced the healing speed bonus to 50%.
It's overpowered because it's an infinite use medkit that the whole survivor team can use.
All the other boon perks are balanced by the fact that they are situational and their positioning has to be factored in to get the most use out of them. That does not apply to CoH which is good wherever you put it. The only time CoH ISN'T useful is if you go up against the Plague.
COH also got the nerf where it removed the stacking of 2 or 3 COHs from the PTB and let’s also not forget it used to be a 28 meter range on the PTB as well, which also nerfed Shadowstep in the process.
Also about your point where the other boons are balanced, that’s not necessarily true. Dark Theory and Exponential are really bad. Dark Theory almost has no uses and Exponential is so situational that you’re always better off running Unbreakable, Tenacity, or Soul Guard as an anti slug perk.
-
This makes sense. I was wondering why I got Fractured Cowshed twice in a row while playing Wesker. Thanks for clearing this up!

Got it 2nd try and thats because the last survivor in the 1st game DC'd out of spite. On the 3rd game got the 10 lock-on downs because a survivor was playing like Boil Over was never nerfed.
No reason for me to play her again.
Someone DCed in my second attempt and killed the other 3 but I got ruthless killer 😭
-
It’s already been nerfed 6 billion other times. Perk is fine.

These kind of posts definitely bring the community closer together. /s

@Mooks said:
uhm. Maybe place her traps more strategically and play accordingly, some of her addons also seem interesting.
not saying she is strong or whatever, but her greatest flaw is her being an M1 killer which is just a problem from the general game design (and tbh Nurse and Blight and the few others existing and not being nerfed will result in basic M1 killers not getting any significant buffs either)
it sounds like you are either burnt out of DbD and need a break or just play a killer that’s more appealing to your taste. There are.. how many available? And no one forced you to get this one. There are people that like this killer and can use her power and she is in need of some adjustments for sure. But she gets way too much hate for being an average M1 killer..
I have no idea how anyone can like her when her best strategy is to literally lock up a 3-gen and hold the game hostage.
-
As an autistic person myself, I would love some representation!
-
After playing a match where a Skull Merchant dragged out a 3-gen for several minutes, I have to wholeheartedly disagree with anything people say positive about this abomination of a killer.
-
We’ve seen worse. I feel a lot of people have forgotten how tragic the Binding of Kin chapter was. I certainly haven’t forgot.
-
The Knight would be among the worst killers in the game if you nerf the one thing that makes him strong without anything to compensate. He does need changes but he doesn’t deserve blatant nerfs.
-
Saw this post right after playing a match as Spirit after thinking she was fixed. Turns out I was wrong 💀
-
Wesker is more than fine. He’s one of the most balanced killers in the game.

because I lack self esteem and am addicted to this unbalanced garbage. the devs only care about survivors, nerfing eruption while dead hard is broken and unhealthy as ever. Just a thought. maybe god pallets are unfair, skilless game design? Any survivor can just run to shack and win the game with half a braincell. And because of safe loop and pallet counts, the defacto best killer strat is to just not chase people and focus on gens. Like, I queued up for chase, why the actual f is ignoring the only fun element the best strategy??? Patrol, chase, drop+kick one pallet, rinse repeat. You just do this unfun gameplay loop until all the good pallets are gone and survivors can only use the windows.
Im exaggerating to be clear, i just really hate and love this game to the point where unbiased discussion is just not a possibility anymore. I cant walk over here and say "yea I love shack, its a resource to be managed and theres only one" when any survivor can just loop you forever and never drop god pallet. Most survivors will legit choose to go down once the window is blocked instead of dropping god because that ######### pallet>getting hooked. If you didnt notice already, I sure do hate shack.
Elaborating on my point about the devs only caring for survs, Im not wrong. at all, actually. Remember old dh, the E to win perk? 5 years of being in the game! AND it got buffed with hit validation! Granted it got nerfed down, but its still the best perk in the game with a lot of E to win elements. Looping? press e, pallets all yours bud! Wesker tryna dash you down? Dont you worry, the e key is here to help. Anyone who argues that DH is a BaLAnCEd and SKiLLfUL perk is a low mmr player or is a dh crutch.
In short? I dont know why I play this game. Its designed to favor survivors in nearly all circumstances, only two or three killers actually hold the advantage by default, splitting up on gens means 1 chase= 3 gens at half. Then you have to chase again, and those gens pop. The devs had stated they balance around 48 second chases, so that means 1 chase is supposed to be half a gen. So essentially, the devs think game balanced=gens go brr even if you win the chase.
Bad game. hope it dies.
Sounds like you need a break. Game is fun, but it’s possible you’re just burnt out.
-
I can’t imagine how painful playing Huntress will be if I take Iron Maiden off.
-
This mainly just boils down to only what you find fun without considering what other people enjoy.

Basically when she is behind a wall all directional phase audio is gone and replaced with the old non directional one. So at a lot of loops she’s basically the old spirit again
Damn that suck. Hopefully they fix it soon. I refuse to play her until they fix it because it would feel like cheating if I did play her.
-
It’s a very fun perk as well. I sometimes run it when I wanna try something different and getting value out of it is so satisfying.

Spirit is kind of trash when sound occlusion isn't affecting her directional audio. I should have known you were just baiting people, yet again, so you can tell us how awesome Spirit is. We all dropped her when the directional audio was implemented, because it was too much of an overnerf. She needs sound occlusion on her directional audio to be playable. If the sound occlusion is dropped, then people will just stop playing her again.
Fine you don’t have to play her if you don’t want to, but I’ve done fine playing Spirit as I’ve played her for hundreds of hours before and after her nerf. I haven’t played her as much lately because I just don’t play DBD as much as I used and when I do play I just play survivor with a friend. However, my experience with her is still valid and you don’t get the right to tell me whether I’m “baiting” people. It’s a little disrespectful for someone that admits that they dropped her right after her nerf to state that false claim.

Spirit's directional audio uses sound occlusion, just like how survivors sounds have been using sound occlusion for a very long time.
And even though killers have been told for a very long time that sound occlusion "isn't very bad" and we need to "get good", now that it's affecting survivors it's a "big deal" and "should be killswitched". I think sound occlusion should either be completely removed from the game, or it should stay on Spirit, so that survivors and killers can both suffer its awfulness.
That isn’t fair to say. Spirit is one of the strongest killers in the game with or without the sound, but the directional sound makes her balanced. You really have no options against her when she doesn’t have directional audio.
-
@OnryosTapeRentals said:
It's useless. The radius is small, the duration is short, and good survivors will take chases away from generators anyways.
I've never seen anyone get value from this perk.
Otz one time did. It was quite satisfying to watch.
-
@Phasmamain said:
Not surprising really. It’s funny how all spirit mains basically dropped her after the nerf and are only willing to play her again when the coin toss is brought back
Did something change recently? I’ve barely kept up because most of my attention has been on Valorant and football lately, but I keep hearing Spirit is back to her pre-nerf self without knowing much detail.
-
One of the few bugs I hope BHVR never fixes.
-
Sounds like they’re mainly just salty going against her, nothing against you personally or your skill with her. I can’t blame them though without being a hypocrite, because I also get pretty salty playing against Nurse or Trickster lol.

Lol I just realized, sprintburst > exhausted > blood rush into sprintburst > health state healed before the killer can catch up. Tho it will only work once per game so I don't think it's amazing
2020 to start of 2021 Decisive Strike only worked once per game yet it was still seen as one of the best perks we’ve ever seen.
