  • If I had to rank every killer in DBD based off how much I like them:

    1. Spirit
    2. Pig
    3. Myers
    4. Hillbilly
    5. Blight
    6. Doctor
    7. Oni
    8. Trapper
    9. Wraith
    10. Freddy
    11. Huntress
    12. Demogorgon
    13. Clown
    14. Deathslinger
    15. Plague
    16. Nurse
    17. Pyramid Head
    18. Legion
    19. Ghost Face
    20. Twins
    21. Bubba
    22. Hag

Now, I like every character in DBD, I just like some more than others. No one can compete with Spirit tho.

  • Hex: Blood Favour: hi

  • Whenever I outplay a survivor but they “outplay” me back by pressing E.

  • I’ve definitely put the most hours into Spirit. She’s my best killer and most fun killer. I also play a lot of Pig and Blight but not as much as Spirit.

  • RULE 9: NO ONE SHALL EVER PLAY AS SPIRIT

  • E742488D-B64E-4ED9-9B89-1AAECD6D163E.jpeg 072BDFC6-69BC-4D51-A1BA-3F702EBE46BA.jpeg D47D9ACA-0900-43E7-ADD3-ECC066859251.jpeg

No one can even compete with this

  • Yeah, because she’s so boring to play. I remember one time I played Hag I played I legit got a headache during the game I was so bored. Switched to Spirit the game after and my headache vanished.

She’s not a hard killer to play at all, her kill rate is just so low because many people don’t understand how to play her correctly. They try to start chasing survivors immediately which is not what you want to do as Hag. As long as you understand where to place traps, there’s not much else to learn.

  • @Yamaoka said:

I noticed the chase music seems to bug out sporadically. Not sure if it makes sense but it seems to happen near the gate most of the time.

Yeah, for me it feels like all sound is cut out and it does seem to happen near the gates.

  • @DragonMasterDarren said:

what sort of sound bugs are we talking about here? cause this game has a lot of them

Like the background sounds that Midwich has keeps on bugging in and out.

  • I feel bad for the other survivors that just want to play the game like I do but not the DCer.

  • @stikyard said:

You're maining spirit because you need the crutch?

Honestly, the most unfun killer to play against. I usually just try to harass them and die as quick as possible.

How about you not do that so you don’t ruin the fun of the other 3 survivors and the spirit player?

  • Survivors have been begging the devs to nerf all these useful killer perks that aren't as nearly big of a problem as Dead Hard, D Strike, etc. They want it to be a walk in the park. BBQ is the next victim after Undying. Devour Hope's time will come after BBQ.

  • @Yords said:

    4/5

Devour hope is a fun perk to use on him since it gives him lethality (if you can get it to work)

I would recommend replacing rancor/DH with STBFL if you want. It works great on him since it actually makes him somewhat lethal.

I currently haven't gotten the opportunity to get STBFL yet on the bloodweb. When I do, I won't hesitate to get it.

  • @ASpazNamedSteve said:

Sounds like a pretty fun one!

I always respect when people make their own builds instead of using only the top meta ones, feel like it keeps the game more fun and exciting.

I have a lot of fun with BBQ, Brutal Strength, STBFL and Surge on Clowno.

Oh yeah, I’m loving Dark Devotion. I think it’s an underrated perk in terms of how useful it is but man it is fun to use.

  • @Onyx_Blue said:

Do you have the perks I mentioned unlocked? Note, if unique perks aren't unlocked then they won't appear on future bloodwebs.

I have all those teachables except for Discordance, but just not on Clown yet.

  • @Exerath1992 said:

Yeah, until your killers are rank 50 and you get 4 perk options each time, its rough getting the needed perks

I am having fun using Dark Devotion but there definitely are better options that I don’t have atm.

  • @Onyx_Blue said:

That build doesn't help you learn Clown properly.

I'd say use: Shadowborn, Surge, BBQ/Thrilling Tremors and Whisper/Discordance.

These will help you constantly apply rotational pressure properly, waste as minimal time as possible and will also help you notice Survivor peel away from tiles more easily on your initial approach which helps you learnt where to throw bottles and not waste them as much too.

Sadly I don’t have any of those perks except BBQ but I’ll keep leveling him.

  • @Hex_Salt said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1908046#Comment_1908046

Could determine what perks be recommended. For example for clown STBFL is sensational but for someone new not getting many hits learning anti-looping is more important so perks like brutal etc would be more suitable.

To answer you're question, I'm not sure about rancor only because clown hasn't got best mobility and can't always capitalise on it plus you're also showing a survivor (and all at the end) your aura - but that's just my opinion. Devour is interesting, do you have something to pair it with? Haunted maybe? For a player of your level I strongly suggest STBFL

Those are good suggestions, but as I said, I don’t have many perks unlocked on Clown yet. I think I have him level 40 and the bloodweb keeps giving me trash perks like Mindbreaker and Monstrous Shrine. So this is the best build I can use out of the perks I have.

  • @Hex_Salt said:

How experienced are you with all killers/M1 killers?

I’ve been playing DBD since June of last year. Why you asking?

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    run rancor instead of devour

dark devotion is useless you should find a replacement

No I’ve gotten a lot of Dark Devotion value. It’s underrated and is also fun to use.

  • People should be allowed to play with their friends. Instead of nerfing SWF like everyone says, they should buff solo queue.

  • I mean the game is a 1v4 😬

There's a popular streamer who survivor mains and does that a lot. When called out for it/screwing over his teammates, his defense is 'well no one is forcing them to stay in there' like ???

So yea, there's lots of people who are selfish/don't give a crap about the match, if they want to leave over stupid things, they will. It sucks but nothing you can do.

Yeah, it’s kind of a shame people are like that. I like the DC penalty but suiciding on hook is possible and there isn’t a penalty for that besides depipping. To me, they should get rid of the chance to escape and have the survivors do something completely different in the second hook stage.

  • I get survivors that do that when I play killer. It’s so annoying because a 3v1 is so easy to win no matter which killer I play. People that do that are the reason kill rates are so high.

  • My waifu Rin 🥰

Honestly this hate baffles me since when is learning a bad thing she can be countered is it easy no, does it require some learning yes.

Nerfing killers is unhealthy as you require them to play the game.

Tbh I'd argue hag is worse than spirit any day of the week lol

But regardless its gg thanks for the game

Honestly some people just want to watch people be unhappy it's sad each side should be having fun.

Woukd link tru3s video on how to counter spirit but it will be just met with hostility sad really I'm not even a huge fan of his just learnt alot by his videos.

    🐷💖

Also, yeah Hag is Hag. She sucks.

Yeah. I do agree Spirit needs a few changes but she still needs to have full control of the chase because it is a 4v1. A nerf and a buff to compensate would do the job.

Hey you.!Your breath taking don't let them get to you firsty secondly don't mind me as I boop you butt as you phase past me as I've learnt to not panic and be calm and use every trick I have against you.I look forward to vrs you in the fog 🐷💖

Since you mentioned boop, I will say my second favorite killer behind Spirit is Piggy. I'll boop the snoot all day if I could 😊

I’ll give her a rest when she deserves one. She is the most unhealthy killer for the game in her current state(maybe twins now but I haven’t fought enough of them). She denies survivors skill and is just generally unfun to fight against

If you main spirit I don’t really mind but don’t act like she isn’t OP

I agree that she's unfun to go against and negates survivors' skill but she isn't OP. Teams can still escape against her if they play efficiently because it's not like she has her incredible ability plus a Pig slowdown mechanic plus a built-in Freddy Krueger teleporting to gens. In terms of 4v1 against good survivors, she's actually pretty balanced, it's the 1v1 aspect of her game that's unbalanced and needs a little change. That bug she had back in October was good for her imo.

"make spirit's breathing be heard in the direction she is phasing in for survivors" So you're gonna destroy the whole concept of Spirit? The whole concept and idea behind Spirit are mind games.

It's still not fair that survivors have no information to work with. I hate random guesswork just as much as everyone else. I played a lot of Mario Party when I was younger, and there are a lot of minigames from every one of those games that were just complete luck-base with no skill involved. I hated those minigames so much. The same thing applies to the survivor side when playing against a GOOD spirit (bad spirits are very easy to deal with).

  • It's gotten to the point where these people try their hardest to make sure Spirit players feel bad, but when someone says she does require skill, they get so angry and try to justify it. My guy just give the Spirit hate a rest for at least one full day.

  • Mother-Daughter Ring + Yakuyoke Amulet combo is broken af. I think the Amulet is fine, it’s the Ring that needs a nerf.

  • Wait...you’re making a fool of yourself, it’s not Otz!

  • Yeah I’d rather watch paint dry.

  • I’m pretty sure his portal must haven’t been activated yet. When Demo places down a portal, survivors can’t see the portals when it’s not activated yet. When he teleports to the portal or if he teleports through it, it’s activated and survivor’s can see it.

  • You know what, since Oni is Spirit’s ancestor, we’ll keep him too :)

if a dev walked up to me and said I had to remove one killer spirit would be the best call

I would rather remove every killer except Spirit than remove just Spirit. That's how much I love her.

  • @DragonMasterDarren said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1902366#Comment_1902366

the fact that Spirit doesn't have 50 million options gift wrapped for her and requires actual braincells and game sense (excluding Stridor) is also a factor

Exactly but don’t tell that to survivors because they’ll get angry.

Look, people have varying levels of skill. After maybe ten games with the spirit you've capped the needed skill to consistently 4k with her, shes ridiculously overpowered and thats a fact. You can do whatever you want, sounds like you probably run spirit with ruin undying tinkerer and BBQ by your defensiveness, almost every survivor you play against is going to hate playing against you because it's not fun or a competition, unless you're a bad killer and need to use spirit to compete. I dont know anything about you but I can state that a bad spirit is easy to beat, but a good killer playing spirit is miserable, even if you win its just miserable. Noone likes it, I don't understand how killer players get any enjoyment out of stomping survivors because their killer is op. I know you want to think you've got some great skill because you can 4k with spirit I guess, but its easy af

Wow look at you making assumptions about me. Literally assuming I’m running a certain build when I’m not. The only perk you mentioned that I do run is BBQ but it’s literally only for bloodpoints. I usually also run Whispers, Thanat, and Sloppy. You really need to get rid of this mentality because it makes you look bad. Over here wondering why I enjoy Spirit even tho she’s “OP.” She’s not OP at all, she just has issues with not giving feedback to survivors which I’m all for the devs looking into fixing. Even if she was OP, garbage, mid-tier or whatever I would still play her a lot because I just love her gameplay, character, lore, aesthetic, and everything about her. I would like it if I can enjoy my favorite killer without having to feel accused or judged, even if I play as fair as possible not tunneling people off hook, camping, etc.

Maybe you don't understand what the word sadist means? Playing spirit or freddy is braindead easy 4ks, which i get no enjoyment out of doing. Yeah every 15 games you might get an actual game but the rest is a slaughter, unless you suck. How does playing actually challenging killers mean I need to grow a pair? Sounds like you need to grow a pair and learn how to play without training wheel killers to me.

First off, you don’t just pick up Spirit and instantly do well with her. Don’t give me that “jUsT hAvE a PaIr Of EaRs” BS because might as well say you need to have a pair of eyes to play as Nurse. Second off, I can play Spirit if I want to. I play others killers as well including a lot of Pig and Blight, I just find Spirit the most enjoyable. So don’t attack me for playing Spirit like all the toxic survivors that make up the majority of the community.

  • If I had to rank them from favorite to least favorite:

    1. Torment Creek (one of my favorites in the game)
    2. Rancid Abattoir (only problem I have with this one is the main building but it's not terrible)
    3. The Thompson House (it's ok)
    4. Fractured Cowshed (painfully oppressive map for the killer)
    5. Rotten Fields (there is corn everywhere, such an ugly map)

It's 2021 and there still are kids who say git gud? Like really, extinction only happened for dinosaurs? I guess you never considered that people who DC/suicide do that because they are tired to get the Spirit EVERY SINGLE MATCH. Cause guess what? People are always gonna throw themselves at what is most op/easier to use/both. Now, if you could stop behaving like a 3 year old..

Ok you may be right about me saying git gud lol. I only did it for humor.

Since when do people always play against Spirit every match. I play at red ranks but I get a Spirit in like one out of 20 to 30 matches. How are these people getting Spirit more often?

Once you main Clown as long as some of us, the bottle becomes an extension of yourself. I even laugh like him now.

  • @Phasmamain said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/222655/clown-is-pretty-fun-to-play

My main since launch. Most important thing is to aim ahead of survivors. This causes them to be in gas for longer and get slowed more.

Try to aim where survivors are going rather then where they are. Throw bottles at far away loops to zone survivors away from them.

Some maps especially lerys and Hawkins it is better to aim at roofs with gas to cover whole loops off.

Lastly for addons his best are flask of bleach and reload addons and avoid pinky finger as it will teach you bad habits and is unfun

Good luck playing the most underrated killer in the game😊

Thanks! I think Pig is the most underrated but I must admit Clown isn’t that far behind. I’m glad he’s getting a buff. The faster reload speed will definitely make him more appealing.

Only if you don't have ears. They're both brain dead stupid to play i haven't touched either one in forever because I'm not a sadist.

Wait so playing a certain character makes you a sadist? My gosh y’all really need to grow a pair if that’s y’all’s mentality I’m sorry.

  • @GodLikeTerror said:

Throwing bottles on objects like trees etc are your best friend with clown. Indoor maps if a person is trying to loop throw a bottle on the ceiling. If they are holding w try to throw a bottle in front of them if you can't just throw a bottle on top of them. I'm going to be posting a video here soon about clown using variety of maps to show his ability to stop loops insanely fast. Flask of bleach and the yellow reload addon are the best addons for him in my opinion! :)

    @Karao_Ke said:

I don't have any crazy tips like @GodLikeTerror does because I'm not a Clown main, but I must agree that he is definitely fun to play. I mainly bought him for Kate as they came together but when I finally decided to try him out, I was surprised.

    • If you hit a survivor directly with your bottle, it'll interrupt whatever action they were doing & the effects are a bit stronger.
    • When coming across a jungle gym or a T/L, make sure you throw your bottles at any exits/vaults so if they try to leave, they get caught up in the smoke & you catch them.
    • Sometimes you can bait your bottles & survivors will tend to go in another direction to try and avoid them. If you have exhaust bottles, atleast 50% of the time they will try to Dead Hard before you can throw it. Learn to take advantage of this.
    • Last but not least, the Clown just had a rework for his speedy bottles so make sure you aren't giving survivors any accidental speed boosts. Use them to get to gens quicker.

Aye thanks for the tips y’all!
