A broken perk like dead hard stayed in the game for 5+ years, eruption nerfed within just a few months of survivors complaining. Yet another perk that rewards the killer for not camping is nerfed, and then the devs will make a surprised pikachu face when killers camp more and more.

(P.S waiting for DS and Windows Of Opportunity basekit)

Sure they are not. Check year 2016 and what could survivors do and what was in the maps. Check shack. Check perma sabotaged hooks. Original DS as it came to game. Original MoM as it came to game. Or many many other things. Survivors were tremendously nerfed over time. And still - flashlight blinding - a very crucial thing is still broken, but fake vaulting with flashlight got fixed within days.

To sum up - they are not "sided". They fix according to priority/time it takes to do things. And they don't address some pain points of survivors from the very beginning of the game - or are you trying to say devs already fixed pokos hits? That huntress can no longer hit you 3m behind wall (a game before last one I was shot like this)? Because this is something that survivors complain about from about the beginning of the game (and DBD has much worse lag-hit interactions then FPS games or any other game).

The game also was designed around survivors having no information. Just saying this argument isnt good anymore.

Yes. But you forgot a lot of crucial other information. Like the game was designed for shack to have 2 winodows, many more pallets, only slow and fast vaults (all mid-vaults were fast-vaults), no bloodlust, permanent hook sabotages, trapper traps could be permanently sabotaged, bigger darker maps, infinite vaulting single window, infinite loops etc.

The times changes. Killers were tremendously buffed compared to what the game provided at the very beginning of it's life. Be happy about it. Survivors were very much OP back then - even much more then killers are right now (61% kill rate in higher MMR).

What is so super frustrating about it is that you want a "tech" to be kept that makes playing killer incredible hard for some and impossible for others and while I don't suffer from it every time a survivor trys a window tech I just feel like my poor susie just got a super stiff neck cause why the hell can't I look left or right while jumping through a window I'm not made of stone

of course I want those techs to stay in the game. It's the only chance survivors have. Maybe I have to repeat myself, but 61% kill rate. And you want to take away some remaining things survivors can do.

  • Thank you for this change. Finally it will become possible to actually try to break 3gen no matter which killer. Very healthy. Thank you very much developers.

No, it's a tiny deal that barely ever comes into it. 95% of its usage throughout the game is 'be annoying' and an overconfident amount of trying to sneak through windows. The remaining 5% is the shocking revelation that Killers that move really fast in a straight line like having peripheral vision to aim. In the long list of things in the game that make an impact, FOV techs are way down near the bottom in frequency.

Is this enough of a reason to continue having Killer be an accessibility-unfriendly mess where daft solutions are proposed that aren't the one that nearly every modern game has of 'make an FOV slider'? Not really. Shuffling it off to a single perk with a fixed FOV adjustment is just clunkiness for the sake of an overrated gameplay mechanic.

Absolutely disagree. The game is designed around FOV. There are very few things survivor can do against stronger killers. One of those very few options is actually abuse their FOV. It's VERY VERY important. Sure not for a low or mid MMR. In those MMR's survivors are just unable to abuse it. But in higher MMR, it's essential to be unpredictable. And this one IS one of the tools.

I mean, we're talking about getting these playstyles out of the game, that kind of requires a reduction in killer agency.

I'm of the opinion that people generally don't mind tunneling, but they do mind being removed from the match early. However, I understand addressing that likely will take too much of an overhaul.

As for how survivors use it to troll, we've had DS for a very long time, and for a very long time, it wasn't efficient as a troll tactic. I've pruned it back a little further from what we have now by removing collision so you can't bodyblock with it, so I don't really know what else you can pull off with this anti-tunnel idea that could make it a problem.

Same way OTR can be used to bait the Killer nowadays: It's hard to tell if a Survivor has it active, and if you're being a nice Killer and you're away from Hook and then the Survivor comes across your path and you chase them, only to realize that "hey, the intentionally came over here to distract me".

Any form of instadown would get the unhooker downed anyway, and it would free up the killer to tunnel the camped person back onto the hook. Healthy-grabs aren't the problem. Survivors can cycle that out, but there's nothing they can do to prevent the killer just using their unhook to speed up the sacrifice process.

This slowdown specifically teaches the killer that the tactic is unrewarding, and it risks costing them the kill with a good EGC save.

Proximity-based anti-camp measures will be circumvented with proximity camping, or proxy camping (which is more effective than facecamping anyway), and these distances would either be too short or too punishing.

Proxy camping allows for the use of STBFL to effectively make M1 Killers insta-down Killers given the unhook interrupt of becoming Injured stopping the action coupled with the attack speed reduction, as do Healthy grabs.

Your anti-tunnel mechanic would be the thing that prevents the Killer from tunneling the Survivor after insta-downing the unhooker.

Killer gameplay is definitely comparatively more stale than survivor gameplay, but that's not something that should be fixed with net-buffs to killers. I'm all for diversifying gameplay in a way that is mutually fair, but killer gameplay being stale is a separate issue from camping and tunnelling.

Certainly, doesn't mean that it can't be tied into whatever anti-camp/tunneling mechanics are introduced. And probably would be best for player retention if it's not just a massive nerf bat to Hooks, but also positive change in the way that Killers approach how they want to Hook Survivors gameplay diversity.

Same way OTR can be used to bait...

OTR is one of the worst-designed perk for it's intended use. It's anti-tunneling perk that only works, if killer is tunneling a little and not actually hard tunneling (and camping). On the other hand if killer does not tunnel, it's perfectly possible for survivor to let himself be healed and then force-take aggro, because he knows he have 3 health states. So it's bad anti-tunneling perk that is easy to abuse. Horrible perk design.

  • @RainehDaze said:

Most FOV "techs" don't do anything, they're just really damn annoying to watch and it's blatantly clear what's going on when it involves no collision. And I don't get motion sick, I can only imagine how much worse following the Survivor is if you do.

Just let the damn FOV go up and see if it actually significantly changes anything (probably not).

This only means you don't play against better survivors. Window techs can bring a lot of time. This confusion would just not happen if killer had FOV as big as they want.

Playing against oni in ability or blight requires you to hide mid-chase sometimes (at least if you are better survivor). This is one of the reason why sometimes especially best blights that have absolutely 0 health issues what-so-ever do bring this perk - even if they could bring say deadlock instead.

When we are talking about higher elo, killer's limited FOV is a big deal.

Every time someone has stood there trying to blind me over and over (especially when doing it as part of a team ) have never been interested in escaping. They just want a rage quit.

Then I am sorry for your bad luck. In my games it's purely to save time or to actually force killer that tunnels someone to go for somebody else (in this case person with flashlight)

I mean, sure, but I have an 8-months old baby so I don't get to play sooner than she goes sleep. So "pick any other time of the day" is not an option for me. Although, your comment makes me realize that my point of view has been skewed.

The option for survivors to opt out of playing against certain killers is, in my point of view, not the same as the killer opting out from swf games. Killer is always alone and cannot coordinate with anybody to get advantage they would otherwise not have. Apart from their specific power and addons, Killers are more skill-based. Sure, some Killers have just stronger powers and addons than others, but a well coordinated team still has a good chance against them.

Survivors in swf groups, on the other hand, gain an advantage that they would otherwise not have. They can use builds that don't use certain perks because those perks can be to a large degree (or sometimes completely) substituted by voicecoms. This goes for many killer-revealing perks and actually many aura-reading perks in general. Coordinating certain maneuvers and actions (repairing gens, taking protection hits, unhooking, healing, body blocking...) is much easier with swf. Some killer perks lose a lot of their value when playing against swf groups - e.g. Fearmonger, because the blindness effect is sort of useless when the survivors can call out the things that you can normally see with auras while repairing gens. The first survivor to come into contact with the killer can call out whatever perks they noticed the killer has, so others can be adjust their tactics during chases.

But as I said in the beginning - I don't think we can expect any "opt in/out" options. So some measures to counterbalance the mentioned advantages would be nice.

Well all I can say is, that I disagree. God nurse against god survivors means she will always have short chase (and you counter it by going for macro play only). God blight and spirit works very much the same even if they can be slowed down a little via pallets (but only with good pallets). So no. Most survivors would definitely opt out from play against at least this top 3 killers.

For other killers it's a bit more even, but survivors still have to take most meta stuff against them to be in advantage (meaning no sabotages, flashlights are not used for actual flash saves in vast majority of cases, etc). The stuff starts to turn at killers like nemesis - still a very strong killer, but he will have very hard time against equally skilled survivors bringing pure meta stuff (so they actually are able to take some more fun things then just, DH, OTR, UB, adrenaline, etc) - ofcourse we are talking about skill level that comes from 5K hours or above for each player.

So no. Survivors will want to ban certain killers as much as killers want to ban SWF. It's the same strongest stuff vs strongest stuff reason. It's the same thing of I want to have fun and bring things that are more fun then just [specific survivor build and genrush]/[specific killer with build and camp+tunnel]

  • How about providing 100% immunity for killer to tunnel if you want to take one of the last things that actually can help against it? Chain blinds are requirement if I want to give at least some time for tunneled guy to actually disappear.

Also if you look up, or look down (depending on situation/your position/flashbang/...), there's no way to chain blind you once outside animation. Try it yourself.

Also try watching some better streamers - people chain blind in soloQ just as much in SWF once you reach certain skill barrier (I am not saying you 100% played against soloQ, just that from certain point - which is not your case because you would know to look up - it's just as likely).

Last point - what is actually toxic in chain blinds? Buying myself some extra seconds of time to survive longer? This is so absurd. It's like me saying killer should not even try to hit me for 10s after hitting me once and all exposed perks/abilities are SUPER TOXIC...

  • @MarKrTheDemigod said:

I'm not saying noone will play killers. There will always be people who will play killers, the numbers might just drop a lot. I usually get to play at around 9pm (GMT+1) and I always have the +100% BP bonus active on killers. I enjoy playing killers more than survivors, so it is OK for me, but I also want to complete tome challanges and daily quests from time to time and the waiting times for games a survivor are sometimes already several minutes for me, while as a Killer I rarely wait more than 15 seconds.

It is true that I feel the game is matching me with either very weak teams, or very strong teams, which I suspect is simply because there are not enough killer players, so the game needs to start matching people of different skill levels. And when I get several of those games against stronger teams in a row, it really makes wanna quit for the day, even more so with those toxic t-baggers.

I am also GMT+1 and you are right. At 9pm, the incentives are on killer. Even +100% most of the time. Pick any other time of day and you get +100% on survivor. That's a rule with very few exceptions. There are many more killers then survivors - because soloQ is still nightmare and if you want to have at least a little bit of fun, you have to play at prime time with your friends. Otherwise there's no shot.

Also when can survivors opt out of playing against say 10 strongest killers? Just to make queue times absolutely horrendous on both sides...

"-RPD's are killer sided even without 3gen. Also a lot of pallets means nothing if the map does not have any other resources.

" Even Otz considers it killer sided (check his map tier list)."

Otz is a very smart/good player but everything he says is not automatically true. Plague is not fun on RPD if nobody cleanses and they loop the pallets well. It's very easy to blast gens and finish the map quickly. You have enough pallets so that she can't really ever apply much pressure.

RPD is maybe Nemesis, Nurse, Blight and Pyramid Head sided. That's nothing different than The Game map. Pig sucks on both maps and it's not fair to say that those maps are favorable to her. That's just not a true statement.

Rotten field would be a lot more interesting if it were a 9000m² map.

I would love to see official stats for kill/escape rates on both maps. I am pretty sure you will be surprised how even the game in fact is and how killer sided RPD is overall (but sure, there are killers that will have problem on it)

Then why did people tunnel less with old BBQ when it works the same way?

Because it has nothing to do with BBQ and everything to do with DS being quite punishing to the point where it's more optimal to chase someone else then to hard tunnel.

I mean - sure old BBQ could have helped the situation in chill-MMR where people still troll and loot chests and so on. But once you get to the point where people try, DS is much stronger argument BY FAR

  • @MrKrabsArgArgArg said:

To me personally, the problem isn't the HUD change that was added, the problem is that the information on the HUD and on generators is 100% precise at all times. The simple solution for me would be to just have it so generators, and maybe even totems don't have a progression bar anymore

For generators, each piston should activate at 25% completion, so a generator that has been repaired to 24%, the pistons won't even move, neither the survivor working on the generator, or the other team mates know the percent. And if survivors are working on a generator that has 3 pistons moving, they won't know if that generator progress is 75% or 99%. Now with this in mind, the HUD would instead show how many pistons are completed rather than the percent a generator is at. I think this change would pretty evenly impact SWF and Solo alike. As for the killer, I think the killer could see the progression bar in the line of sight

    • The perk technician could have it so when a survivor works on a generator, they get to see generators pistons progressed in increments of 12.5%, and this information is shown to team mates on the HUD, and when a generator is kicked if it progresses below a 12.5% interval, a survivor with the perk would need to work on the generator again
    • Likewise, the perk surveillance could see progression bars outside the line of sight, or be reworked into giving aura brightness on generators with progress

As for totems, the Knight trailer has given us insight as to what cleansing a totem looks like, by first removing the skulls, maybe the string, and then the totem collapses. This could be the totem cleanse progression, where three skulls at increments of 33% light up, we could perhaps receive this animation on cleansing as well, and when cleansing is interrupted, the entity resets the totem

This sounds almost reasonable. It's true, that even SWF can't usually call out the exact progress. So sure, I am all for making this information in a chunks. BUT. We want to even out soloQ to what any casual SWF would actually be able to do. That means that even most casual SWF will tell you "this gen (provided position on the map) is almost finished" - so having a mystery if the gen is 99% or 75% makes very little sense. I would actually split the progress bar to 6-7 values and always round to closest one (so at the beginning it will show 0% for some short time, then 16% for twice as long, then 33%, 50%, 67%, 83%, and finally 100% for also half the time. This reflects information that even casuals will be able to provide

  • @LordSturm said:

BBQ, before it was changed, did a great job incentivizing killers to avoid tunneling and to hook survivors. Now that the bonus BP is gone, it's obviously run a lot less, and complaints about tunneling and camping seem to be more frequent.

I think that some manner of first hook incentive should be base kit - for example, your first hook on your first survivor could be +1000 BP, then first hook survivor 2 is +2000, then +3000, and +5000 if you first hook everyone. The numbers obviously can be tweaked, this is just an example. Killer players would be happy to get more BP and obviously survivor players would be happy to be tunneled less, even if only slightly.

I tunnel out 1st survivor. Then I tunnel out 2nd survivor. Then 3rd and I finally hook last person 1x. I just got all your incentives even tho I super-hard tunneled from the first time I saw 1st survivor...

I don't expect a 99% kill rate, if I wanted a braindead easy time I'd hop on Skyrim, that's not why I play this. However I do wish that killer would FEEL better to play, survivors get stuff added as basekit and just got a massive QoL update but killers who get motion sickness have to waste a perk slot in order to play comfortably. That's the problem. And no I don't count a measly o.1s reduction of pallet breaking time to be in anyway shape or form a buff or QoL change, I doubt a lot of killers would say that the role feels better to play because of that. Killer at times feels like way too much effort for very little reward and that's the problem.

if playing killer is that stressful, play survivor. It will help with evening number of players a little.

Also that 0.1s reduction (and all the other "invisible" buffs everyone forgets to mention) changed 49% killrate to 61%. Means it actually did something. And that something is felt on the game a lot.

Do you know what I read from your post? This. "OR" "OR" "OR" "OR" "OR" "OR". There is no "OR". There is prime example how it looks like in high mmr. By logic of certain complainers there is not a single chance to escape killer and especially Knight. These people, in the video, have 6000+ hours most of the time. They know EXACTLY how to loop killer for eternity. Thats what my teammates looks like and its pretty common to see them at high MMR. That "OR" is excuse and not argument at all. Give me EVIDENCE that he did it wrong. I can make these excuses as well. For example...

    • Theese videos about nerfing Eruption are wrong. The killer mayb had luck. OR the survivors were just bad. OR if survivors played better than it would be absolutely different match. OR htey were just filled to hig MMR because of soft gap. OR they had bad luck. OR killer was absolutely unbeatable which wasn´t survivor´s fault.

Thats not how its working. You can see how it looks like in HIGH MMR. Your "OR" is just hope that would with big maybe work. Yet its ONLY THEORY AT BEST. Theory about what "IF" isn´t something what can be considered as something provable.

Sure. Survivors can loop BAD KILLERS for eternity. That's how it's supposed to work. If beginner killer with precisely 1hr could 4K easily against survivors with 10k hrs each, then maybe the game has design problems. Any good killer should win on LT's in 50% chance. Heck very good killer should still have some small chance against very good survivors even on long wall (and I am not even counting killers like blight, spirit, nurse, artist, ....).

Also your proof is: Ask any of the streamers as I already said. Even killer mains will tell you

you forgot that in 6.1 the survivors got an improved version of bt( s tier perk ) and after hyperfocus which allows you to make a solo generator in 60 seconds, at this time the killers break the pallet 0.1 faster

so killers camp you not because all killers are evil, they just have to because unlike survivors they don't have 50 second chances

start rewarding hits and hooks, and make sure the game can't last less than 5 minutes and then the camp and tunnel will disappear

Kill rate right after patch went thru the roof. Official kill rates after everything settled got from 49% to 61%. So sure. Survivors got extremely S-tier buffs and killers got invisible unnoticeable buffs. In this stats things is just pure fluke. And you are totally not biased at all.

  • @Maelstrom808 said:

I'm a 1k hour killer main, who occasionally plays survivor for challenges, change of pace, and to hang with buddies. I generally play the nice guy killer, going for 8 hooks and then letting one to all survivors escape depending on how the match went/how I'm feeling. I don't like tunneling and camping as a killer because it's just flat out boring, and I'd rather lose than play a style I don't find to be any fun. I do understand that there are times that they can and should be used tactically and i will employ them in the late game from time to time, but I don't like the meta of the 5 gen hard tunnel which often is the most efficient method for a killer to win.

So how do we deal with it? I'm not for just outright punishing it because there are times where it is a late game smart play, and a lot of suggestions of punishment for it are abusable. Bonus BP such as old BBQ really won't do much because it was a problem even with the old version because people will troll just for the sake of trolling and some people just want to win.

So the best way to deal with it in my humble opinion is to buff the multi hook playstyle to make it more efficient than hard tunneling. Have a stackable buff, let's call it "Fresh Blood" (I don't care what you call it), that the killer earns everytime they hook a survivor that hasn't been hooked. It does something along the lines of +5 to 8% to vaulting, pallet breaking, stun recovery speeds as well as +5 seconds to the time required to bless/cleanse a hex totem. The buff is permanent for the match and stacks every time you hook a fresh survivor up to four survivors.

Once you have hooked all survivors for the first time, you can start earning stacks of "Fresh Meat". Same buffs, but it's earned every time you hook a survivor that has only a single hook state. If you hook someone out of sequence or they go to second stage on thier first hook, you'll be locked out of getting a stack for that particular survivor.

Obviously what is buffed, how much it's buffed could be adjusted to whatever is needed to work without being overpowered. Along those same lines, there may need to be killer nerfs or survivor buffs for everything to balance.in the end. It would need a LOT of testing before going out.

All that said, if you can make it so it's generally more beneficial to the killer to spread the hooks than to tunnel, then the majority of tunneling goes away. On the surface at least, it seems to me to be the best solution.

    @AssortedSorting said:

I’d honestly prefer to see spreading Hooks reward basekit Moris.

Hook every Survivor once and you can Mori Deathhook Survivors once the Exit gates are Powered.

Hook every Survivor twice and you can Mori Deathhook Survivors by your own hand at any time.

This would make the Killer more threatening at the close of the Trial than just making the Killer snowball through the Trial, while also presenting milestones that have distinct game changing effects.

I am fine with both of them (even having them at the same time).

For OP's suggestion I would stress his 2nd last paragraph - buff killers spreading pressure, but compensate-nerf them in reasonable way.

Killers "have to tunnel" after 6.1, because it's most rewarding tactics, because of DS nerf. Their killrate skyrocketed for a short time, so now they indeed have to do that or they loose. But the thing is, that if we fix this issue, killers will loose some for a limited time and then everything evens out. Suddenly 1K hour killer will no longer play against 16K hrs survivor lobby (and get 3+ kills).

It show AVERAGE HIGH MMR level of gameplay. These teammates are very average (in terms of frequency of having teammates like this in your team) at this level. And as I adressed. Knight has so many counters. Free escapes from his grasps by him and his summon and more. I lost against knight only few times. Its very dissapointing to see that people are still consider him as something uncounterable. DH counter his chases completely. One perk on survivor side completly delete Knight´s special power while chasing. Only Nurse, Blight or maybe Oni can compete with good survivors. And even then. Only survivor´s skill decide about if killer gets something or not. Killer can help it by mind games, but if survivor know what he is doing and can constantly loop killers then killer is in position of deciding about if leave it adn hope that another survivor will be worse at looping or take a risk and tunnel survivor out. This video was an example like it looks like when you know what you´re doing. Killer is not power role here. Its survivor what do mistakes big enough to give killer option to control match a little bit.

Any 115% killer should be able to get LT without using ANY power for 50%. In real high MMR - ask specifically about this loop any streamer with at least 2k hours. But that guy in video lost EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. IDK maybe survivors were "high MMR". But the killer got filled to that match or he was sleepy or he had such a bad luck, that he should maybe invest in lottery (if his luck changes to even things out, he should win now).

    • And do you realize that it was sarcasm, right? It was reaction about how is not possible to get 4K every single game when killer si super OP and totally unbeatable and has no ocunters at all. It was pure sarcasm. I don´t know how it was not obvious.

"There's no 500 winstreak as far as I know"

    • Exactly. And never be.

"So I wonder - what kind of excuse you will have now?"

    • Well... if you consider facts as an excuses which is obvious because you never made valid points against my arguments then yes. I guess you will consider anything as excuses. I made arguments about what you wrote. You ignored 90% of the things and cherrypicked just what fit your narrative. I understand why you did that. Because you have nothing to say against. You have no arguments. I wrote a lot of arguments yet you ignored them on purpose. If you think its civil discussion than its a really shame.

"There's no 500 winstreak as far as I know"

    • Exactly. And never be.

555 winstreak on nurse. Meet supaalf. I thought I already quoted it in this thread. For other killers when you get past 200. It's just a matter of time before you get to 500 - but not everybody will be so time invested. And in a game so dependent on RNG like DBD - if someone is able to win 200 games in a row, it means he can win virtually every game (but those few games where he meets someone like Hens's group or on the other side someone like supaalf). Overall - it's direct proof even sadako can win virtually all the games if you are good. On the other hand. There's no 50 games winstreak for soloQ. That should speak of itself.

And do you realize that it was sarcasm, right?

No it wasn't sarcasm. I said show me this, it's not possible. I show you this and suddenly it was sarcasm.

     if you consider facts

what facts? That there are even D-tier killers being able to do 200 winstreak, but there is none for soloQ survivors (even tho best players tried it)? That is an actual fact. How would you explain this if soloQ-only buff is such a huge problem?

  • @FridayNightPizza said:

I have absolutely no idea why BHVR wants to make the game as insufferable for killers as humanly possible, if all the killers leave then there's gonna be no game.

There are more killers then survivors. Incentives are most of the time on survivor. That's how "insufferable" the game is for killers. Killers win more then there is any other result. Yet it seems that nothing short of 99% kill rate will be enough for them and without 99% kill rate "the game will die" - even if it's survivor incentives vast majority of time.

-"Also from my perspective as survivor main. Please delete both RPDs. The maps are very killer sided"

Delete all the farm maps except abattoir, Badham, Garden of Joy, Ormand and the knight's map for a start. Every single map on that list is massively survivor sided.

And we could only allow Nurse, Blight, Pyramid head, Nemesis to go to a map like The Game. Wouldn't that be fun?

There should be zero maps in the game that are 3 gen or gtfo. Every map that needs to be played like that needs a complete rework that will make the map smaller or make the loops way less safe.

it's you who is complaining about maps. I just made a response. RPD's are killer sided even without 3gen. That 3gen is just insult to injury and devs made the map even worse. Also a lot of pallets means nothing if the map does not have any other resources. This is most visible in the game. Even Otz considers it killer sided (check his map tier list).

Also I would take abbatoir every day when that would mean deletion of rotten fields (yes map you consider strongly survivor sided).

Also we both agree on knight's map (I already mentioned borgo) is just terrible. I wonder who actually likes the map?

  • Nah. I said if it's easy to do, then I see no reason to NOT implement it. But I said again it might take substantial developer time. For something that feels bad, but comparably not nearly as bad as some other bugs in game. So in my opinion - this thing should get fixed. Once all the more pressing issues are done.

Also - I virtually never tbag. Your assumption that I want it to stay in game so I can tbag is wrong. It's very much possible that me accidentally hitting control button happened more often as an actual tbag (after all I do play both sides and so I refrain from doing things which would feel bad when done to me - even if I have preference for one role).

  • @Technature said:

"But it's hard to programmatically distinguish it from some legitimate play."

There is literally a perk that detects and shows you if survivors are inside either gate area.

It is not unreasonable to think a button you can push if everyone is in either gate to just end the game is possible.

It seems ridiculous to punish me because I don't want to deal with it.

My stance does not change on this. If you think it's ok to waste 2 or 4 minutes of my life because you want to snap a carrot over your win, then you're kind of awful and need to grow up.

I provided specific examples. For both sides. Did you even read them?

  • @Technature said:

"i can only imagine how upset you get at halo and gears of war."

I don't get upset in FPS games because someone that's taunting you runs the risk of being shot dead on the spot.

Them doing it also doesn't waste my time, I'm spending whatever seconds respawning whether they tea-bag or not.

But somehow in this game it's my job to force people out and get called a noob because I'm trying a new killer out for the first time, how dare I.

    Stop defending awful behavior.

And at this point the hostility is ######### warranted, seeing as how this is a daily occurrence.

Nobody is advocating for the behavior. But it's hard to programmatically distinguish it from some legitimate play. Suppose I am at the exit gate with 2 other survivors. But there's 4th survivor somewhere out there. What will I do? I will let you hit me twice before I leave (even using point tech to not flip back into the map to not give you chance to pick me up). Do I do that out of malice or to rub it to you? Absolutely not! The reason I am doing it is, because I am actively wasting your time and giving it to that one other survivor trying to heal himself or open the gate or something.

The same can be true for the other side - slugging is sometimes required even if all survivors are down. There are perks like power struggle. You can possibly have already quite some wiggle progress. Picking you up means you could wiggle off and get comeback. Why would I risk it as killer?

For this reason - as it's sometimes hard to distinguish legitimate play from BM automatically, it's hard to do something about it from system. And it's not really that bad from killer's POW (does it really bother you that much that player on the other side is clicking single button on his keyboard for a few seconds?). And it's just mildly annoying from survivor's side (ok now I have to wait 4 minutes doing nothing at all). Just adjust your own stance on it and it's not that bad problem. I would very much like devs to solve more pressing issues the game has - like fixing all the bugs that plague the game all the time

Why does 3 & 4 feel like too much? Too much to program? To OP?

yes 3 would feel like too OP.

The reason for #3 being - that as a survivor you have no idea what you are playing against. As of now it's already very hard to successfully abuse killer's FOV (part of the design) - now it would become impossible if killer changed his settings somehow? Then say OK - I want to abuse new shorter scratchmarks and create techs for it (it will still be very hard to do) - well it doesn't work because that killer did not change FOV. And there's a very good possibility you would have middle ground where no FOV or scratchmark techs will ever work making it just pure nerf in options survivors have. Meaning you take very hard skillful interaction that makes quite rewarding skillful expression and outright nerf/delete it.

for #4 - seeing environment is still strong benefit. Maybe if it was communicated on UI where your boundaries are, it would not be as problematic as the health issue. I think that I am changing my own stance about this one when I think about it more. Like sure this still helps killer (outside of health issues), but it does not really take away that much agency for survivors. I am probably OK with this change too

  • @Killing_Time said:

People have whined about slow down since the release of OG RUIN and the problem is still there... GEN SPEED. MOST M1 killers are utterly garbage WITHOUT slowdown. Pain Res & Jolt have saved a million games for me as Docktah.

But that's the thing. There are slowdowns which are absolutely perfectly OK (corrupt, DMS, deadlock, ...) with one exception that is less problem of those/that perks and more of the killers (and I already talked about camping killers).

Also jolt and pain res are perfectly OK regressions. POP is a bit underwhelming, but still goes into same category of being OK perk.

The problem are the perks that allows killer's regression become so close to survivor's progression (without really chasing anyone), that killer is able to regress gens more then survivors can progress them. And for those "intelligent people" that now comes with math and show 1s progression is still more then 1s regression - I can only say go back to real world. You can't compare 1 to 1. Survivors can't force killer away from an area. Survivors can't stand next to killer and just do their gen. It will never be 1s against 1s. It will always be about how close regression is to progressions and if it's viable to throw away 3-4 gens to survivors for free and just camp my 3-4 gens from the start to an end of the game. And right now it's possible with some killers on some maps

"You really think it's fair for ANY side to win 100% of games 100% of times?"

    • Can you show me, where I wrote that? I´m really wondering.

"Tell me which multiplayer game is like this?"

    • Someone is able to make it?

"Is it possible to win 100% of games in league of legends"

    • Someone is claiming such a things? Can you show me where?

"Why do you consider it fair for one side to be so buffed, that there would be regular occurrence of 100% win rate?"

    • Still same question. can you show me where I made that claim?

"It does not mean that the side will ALWAYS UNANIMOUSLY win even if they play bad"

    • By your logic its exactly what you´re saying. You said that SoloQ is hell and you can´t beat killer no matter waht if he want to win. Thats impossible to win.

"But I am 100% sure you will not be able to find it."

    • Just like you. Or you can find it quotes where I claim that it should be 100% winrate for anyone? Or its possible?

"And you did the same thing with Scott. He said you can win even without perks - because he does that too. But show me one sentence where he say you can literally do that 100% of your games? I remember him always using words like "most of the time", "almost always", etc."

    • Then how is that possible when SoloQ and survivors after all, are unplayable? How is it possible to escape, when killer is unbeatable?

There you can see how average high level survivor match looks like. Can you tell me how is possible to escape like that when killer is unbeatable?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lONHBIhvn9o

"If killer is hard because only 1 guy can win 100% of times"

    • Again. Can you show me where I made such a claims?

"then that means it should be super easy to show me group of survivors that consistently 4-man escape every game every time for 500+ games."

    • Can I see your matches? Because from what you´re talking about it is really obvious that you are middle MMR. Look at TrU3a1ent´s survivor matches and see how it really looks like in high MMR. Watch his streams where he can escape quite easily most of the time. And he is SoloQ. Then there isn´t ceralation between your claims about impossible SoloQ and his secapes. When he lose you can see that survivor´s were unefficient at gens and it was their problem. But most of the time you can see huge effectivity on survivor side. And if you want then you can watch Angry Pug. He has even bigger escape rate at top MMR. And lot of others.

It looks like you´re still twisting around one thing about 500+ wins with Nurse.

    • Can someone do it with PIG?
    • Can someone do it with Freddy?
    • Can someone do it with Michael Myers?
    • Can someone do it with Pinhead?
    • Can someone do it with Hag?
    • Can someone do it with Oni?
    • Can someone do it with Pyramidhead?
    • Can someone do it with Sadako?
    • Can someone do it with Knight?

Can someone do it with Ghost face? An so on and so on. You have still one argument with Nurse which is debunked even because it was pre-nerf at all. And even before there was no single video with her about having unbeatable killstreak except ONE guy what has it as his living. Which means that NO ONE can do it like him, because people have even other killers to play.

    • You really should show us your gameplays if you want to be taken seriously. Because from what I saw that you´re not that good. Its not meant to be personal, but you are talking like average survivor. Not top level at all. And I really would like to see some videos, where TOP MMR survivor is unable to escape because SoloQ is hell. At my level of gameplay I have teammates what are mopping floor with killers. I´m not even using Dead Hard 90% of the time. Because I can rely on my teammates (You can have argument about being bossted, but even if that would be a case. Do you think that 3 survivors beating killer and escape is healthy state of the game?) and when they are doing bad job, there is still one survivor what is capable of doing objectives with me. While they are on hooks. For that I have my We´ll make it and Botany Knowledge combo. Few seconds and objectives can continue, because he is healed ridiculously fast.
    • Do you know why I have problem to trust you? Because anytime when I see killer is easy and survivor is hell and impossible to play, then I start to play survivor and still can´t find a real challange in terms of killer what is really deadly. I´m even glad when its Nurse or Blight because those are the only ones who are fearsome if they are good. But again. Still not unbeatable at all. With Bond or empathy I can say exact placement of generator what is almost done when survivor what was working on it is chased and finish it. With Prove Thyself you can easily finish gens while 2 people are chased by killer.
    • I´ve met a lot of killers what left the game, because they were chased for eternity. Because hit boxes for survivors are so different. For example survivor´s hit box while he is hooked and unhooked. Or when Nemesis Can´t hit you at all when you drop pallet and hide in the highest peak of the pallet. Knowledge is something what allow me to counter many and many killers. While with killers most of the things I´m not even doing, because I perfectly know that they are not working at all. Just like that tentactle strike with Nemesis. Or with Blight. I have big succes with running him front of him and provoke him to do an attack or press DH. Working most of the time. Its battle of patience on both sides. So its not guaranteed, but its very strong against him.
    • Another thing is Knight. Someone is talking about him as about uncounterable killer. These players are most of the time new to the game. Because for example when I´m cornered by Knight... its because I let him to do it. It was MY mistake. Not his. And even than. Do you know that with DH he is giving you free escapes from many situations, because you can DH his guards and get yourself another sprintboost which can give you another extended time to be chased. There is tons of easy counters against killers. Yet people refuse to learn it. They want nerfed it instead of improving themselfs. You can see it most of the time. At steamforum when someone is complaining and you see someone complaining about killers its most of the time player with less than 100 hours in game. Which is nothing.
    • Can you show me, where I wrote that? I´m really wondering.

how is it possible to not get 4k every single game?

See? You did write that. You did hint that 4K every game should be a thing. Which is very different to what I said earlier:

Just 1 clarification. I never said 4K every game. I said won. That's 3K or more

And still you SOMEHOW never saw that and still had to hint that I said 4K every game. And then you make a post like this...

Also - about other killers. There's no 500 winstreak as far as I know - 500 wins takes too long so there will be very few streaks as long as that. But there are long win streaks already. An example is 200 winstreak on Onryo. Check out One pump willie. Meaning even killers from your list can win almost all games if playing sweaty with best things. So I wonder - what kind of excuse you will have now?

  • @KhrisCo said:

Ya, killer is just horrible in the game right now. Gens go so fast. A million pallets. Strong loops. Survivors are not scared of killers the way they said they want them to be. What will happen when nobody wants to play killer? AI?

I don't think the most recent patch with the HUD is what made it this way. It was the last perk update. They increased gen time, so people are bringing Prove Thyself and Tool boxes more than ever.

As said earlier. There is still more killers willing to play the game then survivors. At minimum here in EU. Make the game worse for survivors and nobody will be willing to play that role. It's less desired role already - why make it even worse?

  • @DBDVulture said:

Why do we have one hour games?

    1. A large majority of the killer cast is forced to play 3 gen or gtfo on most of the maps. I refuse to play Lerys or RPD "normally". You win when you 3 gen and you lose when you don't. This is a reflection of poor map design and overly safe loops with too many pallets/windows that can be chained together.
    2. Survivors have way too much gen progress addition compared to the killer's base kit. On top of this you can have way too many thing to make a 90 second objective be 20 seconds if you do XYZ. The 90 second objective should pretty much be at best you can make it an 81 second objective.
    3. Some people enjoy trolling to drag out the game to make the other side miserable.

Why? Simple. Because horrible killers that can't catch anyone can decide to delete any progress survivors do. And I mean completely delete it. So if they can't catch anyone and nobody can progress gens, then the game continues until one side looses temper and gives up or game shuts down. There are 0 other reasons.

This is also the reason why I wish knight was deleted from the game. He is not super strong. He is not even super weak now. He is just super predictable and probably going to hold you in game for 30+ minutes.

Also from my perspective as survivor main. Please delete both RPDs. The maps are very killer sided even considering large number of pallets (exceptions exists - poor huntress) + considering the new main - pure and utter disgust whenever I notice it's this map, delete Borgo even if it has many pallets - the map always feels awful to play. Delete lery's as it's super killer sided yet again (even if it contains good number of pallets). And while we are at it - delete midwitch even if it has like 24 pallets. The map was never ever ever even remotely good for survivors. This about sums up my experience with (some) maps that have many pallets. And I think there's no redeeming them. I don't want remake. I want delete button

  • I would be ok with 1, and 2,. If you need it, 2, could be in a form of FOV slider that adjust the angle even a bit more then it currently does (or sure, add some brand new weak effect on top of it).

3, and 4, feels like too much though

Oh man, how did I not think of that?

Yeah I'll just try to win in what is basically an unwinnable scenario.

Are you unaware as to why they're doing that in the first place or something?

The point is not to win, but to get out of the game asap. You are still in a position where you can do something. Still a lot diiferent to killer downing you and then moving forward/backward on your body for full 4 minutes (he was probably salty that someone had the audacity to use flashlight or sabotage a single hook. Strictly no bm or tbags).

Said in a different way :

Killers should have a base high level of regression

Perks like DH shouldn't be 50% or more effective than other exhaustion perks.

Eruption should affect SWF and solos equally (same for overcharge which people often forget is 100% negated by SWF but also destroys solo players).

You already have 1 hour games until server shuts down. That clearly indicates REGRESSION PERKS are overtuned. And many killers can hold the game way longer then is healthy. This 100% needs fix.

On the other hand - sure. Survivor games should not last 5 minutes of genrush too (but keep in mind camping bubba case, survivors should still be able to 3-man out against afk camping bubba, or saves should become possible - don't forget huntress/trickster/pinky finger clown if your fix changes just killer).

I already said, that correct solution would be to nerf all regression perks and buff base regression (so stacking multiple regressions will overall loose power, but 0-1 regressions will feel better).

  • @DBDVulture said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/363788/slowdown-perks-shouldnt-be-nerfed

Maps like Eruption should be "game ruining" as long as perks like CoH and Dead Hard exist in their current form. Not only should Eruption exist but it should be buffed so that it affects SWF and solo players. What kind of buff should it have? Eruption ideally should just make all generators the killer kicked not be able to be stopped regressing for 45 seconds (the new cooldown timer for the perk).

Dead Hard should probably get a nerf on the order of : mending and healing take 100% longer. So now you can't afford to play with a "3rd health state" and to use DH you need to play wounded.

CoH should probably allow for 2 heals while it is in place and then needs to be reset. All dull totem locations should have the bones destroyed if the killer kicks them while a boon is active. Or the killer should be given a 5th perk slot that is for "hex related" perks only.

Said in a different way - I am mediocre player, but I want to win even against Hens's squad 100% of all games. No thank you. This is not healthy at all

  • @DBDVulture said:

Having a heal cap makes sense in a world where you can't kick generators that are at 100% so they go back to 99% progress.

If DBD moved away from 3 gen or gg then we could have a game that focuses on chases instead of 3 gen and tunneling.

The most efficient way for me to play killer is to hook one person three times. Convince me I should ever not do this? Limited healing does that. Being able to turn completed gens back to 99% does that too.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3338792#Comment_3338792

-"dbd is really weird in the sense that the better you get at dbd, the more restricted and punished you get for being good."

It's worse than you think because as your skill level goes up as killer you get to the point where you either need to stop playing, throw matches or switch to Blight/Nurse.

-"survivor is also restricted in soloq in term of the amount of information you get to make correct plays at the correct time in a given match."

This is no longer true. Being able to see gen progress in real time with no callout gives you more information than is fair.

Honestly we need to either buff almost all the killer perks or give killers that are not nurse-blight somewhere between 6-8 total perk slots to balance this out.

Considering what you said. I think it's fair gens can be now completed in 10s. Why? Because limited healing and creating 3gen out of finished gens is in about the same level of absurdity.

The role that murders the other role most of the time in throwing fits, because weakest role will still be weakest, but the difference is a little bit smaller. Prepostrious! Outrageous! Insane!

  • @Blinckx said:

Why no even gen location or constant location of other survivors ? Or permanent location of the killer as well ?

Hey those info are available to SWF!

this is such a bad argument. Why don't we also add +50% movement speed to killers in chase also? Killers are designed to win chases anyway so this is already available to them?

Except no it isn't. Survivors - even SWF don't know 100% of time where killer is and this is even more true talking about auras (especially mid-chase). There's a world of difference having information of "you don't need to come for me because I have deliverance" and having wallhacks on killer all the time. But I know you know that. You just want to exaggerate to keep your easy wins against soloQ

Hmmm... how is it possible to not get 4k every single game? By your logic its utter nonsense. Killer is overbuffed by your words and there isn´t single way to not get 4k every single time. Or am I wrong? Or its skill issue? supaalf is one guy who has succes. Ok. Thats one. And the others? One guy doesn´t prove your claims. And as you mentioned before when you were doing excuses about certain things, you FEEL thats not true. And thats main problem with your posts. You´re not making claims based on experience but based on your feels and based on people what are most of the time lowering their MMR. Best example is Otz´s killstreak videos and TrU3Ta1ent´s killstreaks. Otz´s survivors? Damn any even average killer would mob the floor with them. Amount of horrible mistakes in his videos was tremendous. While TrU3Ta1ent´s killstreak videos were sweatfest where wasn´t MMR lowered. And he played that at times when most of the people is playing. If you don´t want to believe you don´t have to, but that clearly obvious difference between Otz´s killstreak and TrU3Ta1ent´s killstreak is totally busted.

You named Scott like an answer to our questions? Well... Scott what thinks that you cannot loose anytime even without perks and addons? Yes. Sure. And his video is also another example that he is lowering his MMR as well. Because I saw many videos where Ochido or Scott were brutally demolished by survivors. Or do you want to example of another impressive survivor? AngryPug. Do you know how many percentage of wins he has? Because he is at actual TOP MMR. Thats why you can see how it looks like if SoloQ has buffs like last Hud changes how easy it is. I have for example my efficiency buffed to another levels. I had 50% escapes and now I´m escaping most of the time. Because that high level players I´m playing with are well informed about that. Hell I´m not even using DH at all. :D Because its not needed. DH is used for extending chases, but when you have WoO than you´re fine. You see how many jungle gyms survivors have at maps. You can see how many god pallets is here. Bond will help you to localize Survivors and when you check Gen progress and if he is close to be done and survivor what was repairing him is being chased then you can perfectly know the way and finish it under the killer´s nose. And much more.

From I´ve read from you so far than I can tell you without any hesitation, that your experience with DbD is based on videos of others and at best medium MMR. I can elaborate almost everything you´re saying and tell you why you´re wrong.

You really think it's fair for ANY side to win 100% of games 100% of times? Tell me which multiplayer game is like this? Is it possible to win 100% of games in league of legends (a game that has less RNG aspect then DBD)? Is it possible to win 100% of games in valorant (a symmetrical game instead of assymetrical)? Why do you consider it fair for one side to be so buffed, that there would be regular occurrence of 100% win rate?

Also I have no idea where you get your arguments. When I say one side is OP (or "overbuffed" as you said) - that means that side has it ON AVERAGE better then they should be. It does not mean that the side will ALWAYS UNANIMOUSLY win even if they play bad - this is the same thing as calling police for a dead body when someone said "I am hungry" to report someone starved to death instead.

But sure - highlight me a sentence where I said it's easy to 4K every single game as killer (or escape as 4out every single game for that matter). But I am 100% sure you will not be able to find it. You just create discussion fallacy and insert into my mouth things I never said. That makes it problematic to discuss with you. Like the same kind of reaction would be to say you are lying, but that would just turn the discussion to ad hominem which will also make the discussion just worse. So instead - try to point to specific things that were said and make point with specific things. Because all I can say right now is, that you are saying I said things that I never said and don't believe they are true.

And you did the same thing with Scott. He said you can win even without perks - because he does that too. But show me one sentence where he say you can literally do that 100% of your games? I remember him always using words like "most of the time", "almost always", etc.

But ok let's go down the rabbit hole. If you say killer is weak because "nobody" can win 100% of games (but that one guy I gave you example of) - then show me how easy it is for survivors instead. If killer is hard because only 1 guy can win 100% of times, then that means it should be super easy to show me group of survivors that consistently 4-man escape every game every time for 500+ games. Show me just 1 group like it - I don't even ask for multiple groups (like you did disregarding supaalf). So I am waiting now for your response

-"If you still have problems as a killer after 6.1, then I suggest you watch your games and try to learn from your mistakes. Watch more experienced players. Even people like Otz that currently is a little salty"

I think you might need to go have a look at Otz's channel. He tunneled every game he played the last time I watched his stream all while saying : you shouldn't tunnel but I need to tunnel this girl out to win.

CMWinter who plays pig has come to the realization that he will tunnel every game or lose.

Truetalent has shifted to only playing killer by request.

What changed? The new hud changes make playing survivor grossly unfair. You have an insane ability to pressure the gens because you know who is repairing and how far along is their progress. It was the uncertainty that gave killers that were not nurse/blight a chance before this update.

Ok. Speak with just killer mains. Disregard the fact that ppl like otz win literally 90% of their games without strong addons or perks against ppl that bring meta stuff. Focus only on their need to tunnel. Also disregard the fact that universally every bigger streamer (Otz included) will tell you soloQ feels miserable and they need buffs and then complain that said buff that absolutely does not help skilled SWF in any way - that said buffs are given to universally and unanimously to wakest player base. But overall you want fair game for everyone (so long as it only buffs your side - otherwise it's unfair)

its still got moments where you cant do anything against it

AFAIK there's just 1 situation where killers say this is true. And for this case:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_4SCwg74PY

So no. Even at this spot it is counterable. It's just very much survivor favoring situation. Same as it's very killer-favoring situation once you are in the open.

In other words we will not get that video with 550 4K killstreak with PRE-NERF Nurse? I´m still waiting. That guy in the video? His crap is tearing my ears. Why he is using perks at all? When its so easy... He don´t want a challange? And I was mentioned above... That people what I saw in the video. My god they are bad. This is definitely not TOP MMR at all. If you consider this as an evidence then its really wierd. What I saw in the video is very low skilled survivors. Loosing against wraith like this? Really? Especially with almost meme build? Sure. Such an evidence.

Also about "wraith player". If he wins most of his games - it means his MMR is climbing - and by now he 100% got into soft cap. This means there's not a possibility his survivors are worse then yours. They are the same or better. Otherwise it would mean you are in some magical server that contains only OP survivors which is hard to believe. If you want to judge for yourself - watch his stream too. But as I said - he plays both sides equally, so you'll need to rewind half of all your time. Still, here you go: https://www.twitch.tv/scottjund

Watch all of his replays how he got to that number. He's been playing for years so you will see some games from probably every patch (I don't know about current 6.5 - I think he lost interest in nurse now).

Just 1 clarification. I never said 4K every game. I said won. That's 3K or more

    Ah yes

Free info on what other players are doing, with progress of gens being worked on and slugged survivors progress being shown is a killer buff

It's a buff that does LITERALLY nothing to those "comp SWF squads" people here are talking about. It's a buff that helps the group that is objectively THE weakest one in whole game. Yes - this includes also killers like trapper and (non-tombstone) meyers. So again - what is the problem with said buff? Why does it create so many threads when the buff affects the weakest group the most while arguably "the strongest group" see literally no difference?

Yeah but taking windows is to help give me an idea of where I don't want to go also if there isn't as pallet there. It doesn't show for everyone, just me so that seems fair otherwise I have a perk that I can't rely on fully. Pretty pointless and would probably rather have a different perk.

I use balanced landing and would rather have different perk when spawning in shelter woods.

I use medkit and would rather have different item when facing plague.

    etc.

The point is, that all items/perks from survivor sided have always had some risk associated with it (be it smaller or larger). It's not fair to demand different item/perk just because you got countered. You were just unlucky with your pick. Play around it. It's not like you have no chance now, because 1 of your perks is PARTIALLY countered by killer's power. You are still in a much better position then say you got blinded (by 3rd seal) and don't know about any resources in the map (be it fake or not - including windows).

He is the guy who sells you that u dont need perks to win as killer, you can do lot of mistakes and still win etc., which is complete garbage, if u face good teams. Of course, against Solos and Noobs, you can chill hard and win easily, but not against the good teams. Im sure you know about that, too. Also you will know that Killer A is not like Killer B. Survivor A however is like Survivor B, because there is no unique things in Dwight v Meg v Elodie etc. besides Heigh and Volume.

Thats why I constantly say to everyone: Dont say "THE KILLERS". This is the biggest mistake a lot of people make in my opinion.

I play both sides every day, I have 2.400 hours since November 2021, which shows how much time I invest in this game, which I learned to love (in terms of a videogame, of course). So I think I can see things. I am not a pro, I will never be, I will never do DbD as my "job" (I have one XD) or anything, but:

I can see the major differences between SWF and Solo, between Nurse and Freddy or Oni and Ghostface etc. and that is, why I say: Against the good teams, Killers lose by default, if u are not an S- or at least an A-Tier-Killer and you know what u are doing. All the others have huge problems to catch up.

And he actually is right. He actually did that. And no he does not say he will win EVERY SINGLE GAME. People actually called him out on some of the things - so he made video about it. Like "Scott can't win anything without slowdowns" :

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DzIhkQ-lKWo&t=4272s

Well guess what. And if you think it's just a video - watch his stream. It's your time. You will still see that he actually speaks what he sees in his games.

And about "the killers". I said so already. Both sides apply. You can't be best survivor and bring autodidact against best killers you are facing - same way as killer can't take clown into such a match. You can compare strongest stuff to strongest stuff. If you compare weak stuff to strong stuff - then sure. You will get that one side is OP. But I can do EXACTLY THE SAME thing pointing out how the other side is weaker. Or if I am wrong - have you seen sabo build on ANY competitive team like ever? If so - I am sincerely interested as that would be fun to watch. But I doubt it would be some serious tournament with pro players (that are not just meme-ing around).

You´re still talking about tournaments. What tournaments players you´ve met in the game? How many of them is in YOUR MMR?

Give us link to those videos. For now its just your claim and YOUR word. I would like to see that 550 4K streak you´ve mentioned. I really do. And even then. How many Nurses of his caliber you´ve met? How many tournaments players you´ve faced? I faced a tons of Nurses and yet I wouldn´t be able to say that she is unbeatable. Only at really high level its possible to consider her as a threat. But thats it. ONLY in high MMR. And even then its still possible to mind game her. Its about observation skill. If you can predict her movement, which is made up by watching what strategy is she doing most often and then you can be chased by her for a large amount of time.

Did you ever see tournament Freddy? Pig? Pinhead? Leatherface? Myers? Sadako and many others? OTP players are not good evidence for your claims.

How many? Not many. There are a few here and there, but it's a rare sight. The same thing is true for you. And I don't care which side you play - this will still be fact. The MMR cap is quite liberal, because otherwise best players will not get any matches ever (again - I don't care which side you play). But considering we were talking about killer vs survivor strength potential - something that I didn't bring up as can be seen with very first answer in this thread - it's very relevant to the (flawed) argument (in a sense - that it's not SWF that always win, it's the side that takes strongest stuff that wins - and if both sides take strictly THE strongest stuff there is, right now it's killers that have the upper hand).

But should we talk about "high MMR" which I presume is somewhere around soft cap devs have introduced, then 61% kill rate - and I see 0 reasons why any killer should complain.

  • The perk should get some buff. Right now it's too niche. One of the things people tend to mention is making the chance of skill check slightly increased. At least make it so, that you have 50% chance of fully stacking autodidact by the time 2nd person is healed by it (taking into account negative value at beginning).

  • What about finally fixing midwitch?

The map needs fixing for a years now - longer then whole eyrie of crows even exists. Or is it only maps that favor survivors that needs to be looked at?
