I main survivor only because it's the only way I can play a game with my girl without it being the lackluster 1v1 of KYF.
-
Load in,
Find the killer,
Stand still for free hits and hooks,
Die.

She's the killer for Weenie Hut Jr players.

The worst thing: The killer is running franklins demise. He slaps you, you run him for a solid minute and when you come back you notice that someone took your ranger medkit + addons. Next to what OP wrote, it's one of the worst things to do, realy. Get your own stuff you jerk!
And since you can not see items on hook, i just stopped unhooking for the rest of the match. We have won, but still. Stuff like this just makes me angry cuz u also bring the fitting perks to use this stuff with botany and last forever. Others just use it for 1-2 heals and that's it.
Curious if you're aware that items dropped via Franklin's Demise will eventually get eaten by the entity? It might not be your teammates taking it. If they did take it though, at least it's likely getting some use in the match instead of being lost forever.

Unfortunately people around here don't care. Tunnelers won't stop tunneling and if you so much as think about complaining be ready to get bombarded with the 'entitlement' argument or get told to play something else if you don't like it.
Honestly, might as well. We basically paid for the Tunnel Town & Slug Simulator game.

Gain 200lbs with all the snacks you'll be getting while waiting to bleed out.
I paid money to play DbD.. not watch YouTube videos.

You [not you personally, but the dc] can wait 4 minute bleed out, egc, or ######### on first hook.
I understand that these tactics aren't fun, but you have plenty of outs, all of them will hurt you and your team.
I see people dc right before last hook, which means your motives for dcing to "hurt the killers bp" is a selfish motive.
Worst part is that it doesn't hurt the killer, because the killer considers it funny.
The worst way to hurt a camper, stay ON the hook as long as possible.
If you're stuck slugged til bleedout or hanging on hook full time, you're useless to the team anyway. Sure, you might buy them time, but in reality how often do people stay on gens and pump them out while you're stuck in miserable situations?
I've stuck around in games where I desperately wanted to DC and didn't.. and the more I think about it, the more I realize that all of those times it wouldn't have made a difference either way.
So it's just a 4 minute wait... that's sometimes best case scenario in these situations. You know what would be better? Leaving and moving on to a trial where we can enjoy playing the game we payed money for. Not slug simulator.
-
This entire thread is full of hypocrisy.
To sum it up all I'm reading is:
"Let me make sure you have a complete miserable game. Your fun isn't my responsibility! ... oh no! You DCd because of it? You ruined my entire game now! You're absolute scum of the earth for ruining my fun!"

it is not valid to dc because a killer is tunneling because the stated rules you agree to before you even play dbd state that it is against the rules to disconnect or leave the match before a natural outcome (sac/escape) occurs. this has been proven you get to go find it on these very forums where the rules state this is against the rules thus it is not valid to disconnect with the exception of something out of your control (game breaking bug). enjoy learning what else you are doing wrong.
you say "Your fun is not my responsibility" well your fun is not the killer's responsibility, thus if they tunnel you and the rules don't disallow it then your dc which is expressly disallowed is not valid. if they camp you, your fun is not their responsibility, and your dc is still not valid yet their camping you is valid as the rules do not disallow it. you have now lost your argument with those 6 words. you just took your last hook. enjoy it because your fun is not my responsibility.
You're the very person they're talking about when they say that people say "your fun is not my responsibility."
Okay, my fun is not your responsibility. Got it, killers.
But why does yours have to be mine? If my leaving ruins your game, too bad, right?
This is the real selfishness right here. Hypocrisy at its finest.
-
I'm on the fence about it. The only reason people ever give is "because you ruin the game for others." But these same people are the ones who come at you with "your fun isn't my responsibility."
Like what??

I play killer usually only for challenges and dailies, and with those it's usually Myers unless the challenge says otherwise. So far I've been able to complete them easy enough. I get what I need and let everyone go unless I have to kill them. That's the hardest part because I don't have the heart to kill them.
-
But I've had teammates more often than not say to take a hit when I'm given bt after being unhooked .
-
Add the semitruck sized hit box that hits through walls and around corners.. yucky.
-
Last night.. literally had five games in a row with moris. Out of those five only one person with a key.. and out of those five one killer apologized and said they didn't mean to attach a mori offering.
Needless to say we called it a night after that.
-
If two survivors are alive and one is slugged that doesn't mean you automatically deserve a 4k. Two dead doesn't mean the whole team was outplayed. If that's the case the game would be 2v1 or 3v1 instead of 4v1. Expecting the last survivor to come out and give themselves up for a free kill is entitlement.

But I do have negative experiences. It mostly comes from other survivors.
I don't consider camping and tunnelling a negative experience. It is just part of the game. Even the devs said it themselves, that facecamping is not a offense, but a viable strategy.
Here's some stuff I consider toxic.
Toxic survivors:
-who rats me out to the killer
-tells me it's all my fault he died.
-looks at my perk small game, tells me I'm a noob and lol me
-looks at my default Feng skin, tells me how I suck at this game
-end game, I saw a survivor hooked all the way across the map, i didn't feel like running over there so I left, than I get a message saying how selfish I am
-im told to just go delete myself off psn.
-unhooks me w no BT so I can die
-nobody comes for the rescue becuz I am solo, no camping killer, I die on first hook, I did not kill myself, I struggle all the way till death to save time for survivors. I look at their auras and nobody seems to care about me, I message the killer how that was so messed up. Killer tells me, "if it makes u feel better, I killed all of them" I thanked the kind killer.
-2 man situation, I find the other survivor hiding the whole time becuz we got 3-4 gens left. I end up dying becuz I rather do gens than hide for 20 mins hoping for the other guy to die first
-2 man situation, I'm on first hook, and the other survivor camps the hatch and leaves me to die, this is why I run camarederie, it works well in Gideon meat plant. It gives killer more time to look for the survivor sitting on hatch.
Only time I find killer toxic is when he tells me he wants to farm, I agree to it, and he kills me instead. I no longer associate in farm games.
Camping and tunnelling is not toxic. If u view it like that, and u play this game w ur emotions, u will get worked up. If that's what u want to do, than u do u. Everyone going to play however they want. It's just how it is.
We were specifically talking about end game chat. Not behavior in the game. When I say you only experience half of the toxicity, obviously I'm talking about the survivor half because you're fortunate enough to not have experienced it from killers.
Keep twisting the conversation though, I'm tired of repeating myself.

Killers generally don't engage in end game chat though. Sometimes they do. Most of the time they just quietly move on. Not worth arguing 1vs4. But when they do, it's generally all 5 survivors just doing trash talk, which is pretty standard in PvP games.
On consoles, there are no end game chat. So it's entirely thru the messaging system. And I can assure u, at least on the console side, the toxic messages comes from survivors.
I play on PC, Xbox, PS4. I have several copies of the game. I am survivor main. I have multiple accounts. I only play dbd, I play nothing else.
As I don't delete any of my messages. I'll go take a look, and write down a count of all toxic messages and if it came from survivor or killer. I'll note down the first 20 I see. I'll message here in a bit, just a sec.
For someone who's a survivor main, consider yourself lucky that you're fortunate enough to not have the same negative experiences a lot of others have. Unfortunately yours don't reflect on the rest of the community.
Besides, I never said survivors aren't toxic so showing me your messages doesn't change anything.
-
The bleed out music/noise when slugged and trying to listen for a nearby hatch is impossible.
Same with chase music.

The other thing too is, if u message the killer, he might respond in a toxic manner. Becuz I'm sure the killer gets a lot of hate. And PvP games have a lot of trash talk.
But if u don't message him first, killers don't typically send u hate messages.
Just look at how many survivors leave their messaging system off. They turn it off becuz of toxic survivors, not toxic killers.
I have personally been harassed by killers without saying a word, and I've seen it happen plenty to others who have said nothing other than 'gg'.
Maybe PC end game chat is too easy for them, but I guarantee the toxicity flows equally from both sides.

I don't delete my messages on my PS4. But I can assure u, if I open it up right now, the top 10 hate messages on the very top of my screen, are all from survivors.
Half of them are one liners.
If you mostly play killer then that's only natural considering you're only going against survivors. If not then consider yourself lucky for only dealing with half of the toxicity.

I could only agree w u if I said.
"Killers never message u and say nasty things whether they win or lose."
I don't use words like "all" or "never".
If I say killers don't do that kind of thing, it just means in general, killers don't do that type of thing.
I've had a fair share of killers, win or lose, be toxic as hell in chat. It's about equal to how many times I've seen survivors do it.
-
I like facing him.. with his cute lil walking stick when he hobbies around and those sexi legs when he runs.. the way he splats into everything.. and that floppy mouth... I think I'm in love!

I am more or less a killer main, and pips are totally irrelevant for me. BP gains and overall enjoyment of a match are way more important. And I'm surely not the only player thinking like this. Your claim that pips is all for killers is just plain wrong.
Again, if you're one of the "rare few gems" as mentioned in my comment then congrats to you.

A lot of times the game disconnects people, it's not done on purpose. It's been pretty bad lately.

Okay, but I still disagree with your answer. When me and my friends play killer, we don't give a crap about pips; we just play to have fun. So, it's definitely not all killers who care about pips. Unless you're only talking specifically about "tryhard" killers caring about pips (which isn't what you implied, but maybe that was unintentional), but in OP's case that wouldn't apply, either, because if the Hag tunneled and mori'd off first hook (which it sounds like they did), then that's probably a black pip at best if not a de-pip, because the game does not reward moris. This sounds more like a case of either the Hag misinterpreting the survivors' actions or the Hag not wanting to play a 3v1 and just trying to get the match over with as quick as possible.
For a killer to pip, they actually have to play a long game; the more efficient the killer, the less likely they are to pip. Killers need more hooks and more chases. If a killer only cares about getting a 4k and doesn't care about BP or pipping at all, then they play efficiently and go for the fastest 4k possible.
"appreciate the rare few gems who actually want a fun game for everyone."
If this part of my original comment applies to you then congratulations. Otherwise I dunno what else you want from me. While they might need more than instakills to get pips, you can read from plenty of people in the forums and even in this very thread saying 'because muh pips'.

^ This. And I think one thing people may forget is that this game only has one mode; it's not split up between "casual mode" and "ranked mode," everyone is just thrown together and the two mindsets don't mesh. While some people can sort of switch between mindsets, a lot of people can't or don't want to, and that's not the fault of the players, that's a shortcoming of the game.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1757019#Comment_1757019
This isn't an "us vs them" thing. I pointed out earlier in this thread that killers face this same problem against survivors; this issue applies to both sides. Most people play both sides rather than maining one or the other (who pays for a game only to play 50% of it?), so any behavior seen on one side is going to be seen on the other.
Right, except I was staying on topic of "tryhard killers". They had a question and that was my answer for it.
-
Killers don't care about anything other than their pips. Don't expect much more out of them and appreciate the rare few gems who actually want a fun game for everyone.
-
Honestly not very much. If I ever do play killer it's for challenges and even then I don't have the heart to kill anyone. I just wanna be spoopy.
-
I noticed a similar thing. Killers who are more about fun and less about sweat tend to be on after midnight my time. The later in the day it gets the worse it gets.
-
Survivors don't do this on purpose. Game glitches happen. Survivors aren't always out to ruin a killer's time.
-
I swear, most killers just want survivors to stand still for free hooks and then onto the next match so they can do the same, rinse, repeat.
Because that is sooooo much better. Tons of fun for everyone then.
-
I played against a Trapper with Devour yesterday.. Midwich and most of the team kept stepping in his trap trying to get it r e p e a t e d l y. I was the only one doing gens. He didn't mori anybody tho.
-
Any time I swf against a mori I get told not to unhook because most of the time it's tunneltown for the recently unhooked. From my experiences it's usually the same.
-
Sometimes friends just want to play together. No 'rigging' or 'exploits'. Survivors aren't all always out to ruin your day.
-
How dare survivors ruin a killer's time by not standing still for free kills. The audacity of some people.
-
Booping usually gets me killed... Every time I say NEVER AGAIN... and then I do it again. Will I ever learn my lesson?
-
I'mma crouch in yo leathery face!

Literally just had this happen to me. Had a wraith that wasn't playing. Just cloaked in the corn field. he followed me around as I did bones then lead me to one against the hail bailer (i think) or one of the large machines in the corn fields and so I did the bones and he blocked me. And stood there the rest of the game about 5 mins. I had 3 crows. My friend had 3 crows (he was pointing and waiving the killer too hit him or heck off) A rando had 3 crows.
But I can't DC because PeNaLtY.
He could have killed me, hooked me, moried me. I wouldn't care. fair enough, nice trick. But to body block and just waste my time and everyone elses? Taking the game HOSTAGE?
Thanks Devs... Fun times. Wait 10 mins for a match, get a toxic killer, get game held hostage for 5+ mins. Die. Depip. Load into lobby. Wait 10 mins for a match...
I think I had the exact same Wraith. Appeared to be farming, would lead to bones, then bodyblocked at the last bones tucked in the bushes in Springwood. Died to EGC.
-
He died within the first two minutes of the game? Yikes. Some people actually want to play.
-
I don't think I ever had an ebony mori killer who didn't hunt the freshly unhooked off of first hook to kill them right away.
Plus, mori off the first hook completely disregards survivor perks and robs the them of points as well and causes most in the team to depip, even if they weren't morid. The counter of "just don't get downed" isn't good enough. You have to not get caught in the first place if you want any chance of surviving a mori.. which means playing extremely immersed which also loses one bp and pips.
While the animation is cool, in my experiences the only reason killers will run a mori is to purposefully ruin a survivors game.
Meanwhile I don't get why people make it sound like hatch is up 100% of the time without needing to put any work in. You still need to survive and do at least three gens to get anywhere.

Do people even play this game or at least understand it in this thread?
There's no risk to Kobeing if someone is right about to save you, you know you can attempt once and be saved, if you attempt when no one is coming for you then you can put yourself into second phase if you take time away from someone who hasn't gotten off a gen yet.
How. Do. People. Not. See That.
No risk for you personally, sure. Risk for the rescuer and the rest of the team, yes. I don't want to put objectives on hold for someone who just wants to unhook themselves. That puts me at risk, wastes my time, and puts the team as a whole at risk because it slows gen completion and you risk throwing yourself into second stage prematurely anyway.
If you're gonna attempt a jump then do it on your own time when no one is going for you.

So now you are telling both of us to throw the game. And it's not robbing you of blood points, You can still heal the person. They still have the struggle state. You are just mad because you missed out on points in a category you were already going to max out anyways.
If I kobe then nice we both get points. If I don't then you unhook me and we continue playing normally and I still have struggle phase.
Why do it in someone's face after they dropped everything and risked crossing the map to get you? I don't even get mad at the loss of bloodpoints. I get upset at the lack of consideration for my time and effort wasted when it could have been put to use elsewhere.
-
If you wanna try and jump, do it before people drop what they're doing to run across the map to help you. You just wasted, or attempted to waste, that person's time and rob them of their own bloodpoints. They could have continued working on their objectives otherwise.
