Absolute dog water. I had 90% recovers directly under pallet and spammed spacebar. Nothing happened. No dialogue box popped giving any hint that I could use it. Trash perk.
It should show you that you can drop the pallet. It works for me every time. If you are over 15% wiggle and it activates you should just be able to press space when the killer walks through a pallet. It doesn't matter if you miss a wiggle skill check or not.

selfcare double nerf , ruin double nerf , DS double nerf with no compensation or something , this are the only perks i feel need some kinda of change before going live.
-selfcare should work at 40% speed and a extra 5 % speed for each survivor injured up to 60% (but nerfing botany knowledge)
-Hex ruin : to 150% regression atleast istead of the awful and slow 100% (keeping the autodestroy if someone dies)
-DS either going back to 5 seconds or making that the perk disables powers after stuning a killer (making the 3 seconds less abusable for killer with high mobility)
About the DS and Ruin I agree. I'm a Blight main atm and It can be so easy to tunnel through current DS. 3 Seconds are nothing!

@cheetocultleader said:
Idk why they don't just remove Self Care at this point tbh. Needs a total rework, as it's just going to be a match killer for new players.
It already is tbh. I really hate it when my teammates go self care in a corner every single time they get injured. It's basically a killer perk imo.
-
@PNgamer said:
no, the nerfs and buffs have to be. Otherwise you will not be able to mess up the meta
Well I agree but most perks are terrible, I think they should also focus more on buffing / reworking some terrible perks that we don't use because they are terrible. Making all perks bad is not something I like.

The Calm Sprit nerf makes no sense
I 100% agree, they ''buffed'' it but also made it worse. I really don't understand some of these changes.๐

@Sadako_Best_Girl said:
Nah, self-care was way too op. Bravo behaviour.
Yea, I really didn't see this nerf coming. I guess I'll do 45% of a gen while my (soloq) teammate heals himself in the corner.

@Beatricks said:
Yeah. DS was already overrated but now it's almost completely worthless. And I'm still salty about the BP stacks being removed instead of made basekit as well.
I don't really care about the BP removal tbh. I mean, the BP bonus from BBQ and WGLF was nice but I use BBQ for info tbh. It's crazy how easy it can be to tunnel through 5 sec DS, especially when I play Nurse or Blight. DS shouldn't get nerfed imo.
-
I just don't think the sexuality of a character matters, that's just my opinion.
-
I hope they focus on other things.
-
I think it's the same for everyone. I barely get any survivor daily rituals as well. I really like the killer daily's tho, it makes me want to play killers that I don't play very often.
-
Probably in about 2-3 weeks.
-
I mean, what did you expect?๐
-
Poor Maurice deserves better :(
-
I'm worried about this perk tbh. I think it's gonna make reading scratch marks way too hard and they will fade away way too quick.
Reading scratch marks is already hard on some maps (Ormond is the worst imo).

@[Deleted User] said:
Did you quit killer?
I did not, I think he is really fun to play. Nightfall makes him a very strong killer that can travel around the map really quickly. The map however is terrible for most killers. It's worse then ''old'' Haddonfield if you ask me.
Something that made me very happy as well is this:
General Killer Improvementsย
The average kill rates (how many Survivors are killed each trial, on average) are a little lower than weโd like โ a sentiment echoed by many community members.ย To ensure the Killer feels like an unstoppable force to be feared, weโre making slight improvements to many aspects of Killer gameplay.ย
Weโve reduced the time it takes to break walls and pallets by 10% (now 2.34 seconds, previously 2.6). Generators can also be kicked 10% faster than before (now 1.8 seconds, was 2 seconds). While these changes may seem small, a fraction of second can be the difference between hitting a Survivor and them reaching a pallet.ย
Next, weโve reduced the cooldown for successful basic attacks by 10% (now 2.7 seconds, previously 3 seconds) and reduced the duration of the Survivorโs speed boost upon being hit by 10% (now 1.8 seconds, was 2 seconds). Moving forward, Survivors will gain slightly less distance upon being hit, making it more difficult for them to run long distances to a safe area.ย
Finally, weโve tweaked Bloodlust to increase in power quicker than before. In most chases, Bloodlust does not activate, though there are rare cases where it can be necessary. The long build up often leaves the Killer in a bad spot even if they eventually get a hit. We are adjusting Bloodlust tiers to activate after 15/25/35 seconds of chasing rather than 15/30/45 seconds.

You aren't meant to use her tv's exposure feature as your "main" power. I am not sure why you would play her that way anyway.
She is far more stealthy than you give her credit for. She has a lot of map pressure, which no other (aside from Freddy) killer has.
I mean, that's your opinion. If you think she is a good killer with a lot of map pressure then please play her. I still have my opinion and I feel like the majority of the killers agree with me. I mean, there has to be a reason why we never see her anymore. I think that's because she is extremely underpowered.

I don't think the hug tech is ever getting ''fixed''. It would be a really bad thing if they ''fix'' this ''bug''. There are real bugs that are way more important to fix.

@fcb said:
they need to increase all killers' speed. 4.6 is not enough because there are too many pallets, and they are close to each other. increase to 4.8
I was thinking about this as well. I think 115% killers should be 118% and 110% killers should be 113%. They could try it in the PTB to see what people think about it. I think it's worth the try!
-
People have accused me of cheating for the most stupid reasons. For example: I was looking for a survivor near a gen that had more progress then the last time I checked it. I searched around the gen but couldn't find them. Next to the gen was a locker and because I couldn't find them around the gen I checked the locker and of as you can probably already guess, they were in it. They called me a cheater and told me I was going to get reported. I just laugh about it now, some people will always blame it on something or someone else when they lose.

You should count the amount of BP you get after the match with BBQ and see if it's bugged tbh. This would be a terrible bug if it's not just visual.

I'm looking at steam charts and not sure how you can get "insane amount of players in a short time". The game has been out 6 years and rose to great heights then slowly loses players, which is super normal.
Also, I'm going to make fun of anyone who thinks there's a secret conspiracy to "kill" their own game. That's just not what a rational person comes to as far as conclusions.
The game is fun. I play it when I feel like hunting down people and seeing if they can escape. Sometimes I play sweaty to win, sometimes I play sweaty when survivors are toxic, sometimes I play goofy themed builds to see if I can slug all 4 players using franklin's or weird add-ons. You know you can play more than 1 video game right? A game slowly losing players, especially a non-MMO or non-subscription game, is completely normal.
''Also, I'm going to make fun of anyone who thinks there's a secret conspiracy to "kill" their own game. That's just not what a rational person comes to as far as conclusions.''
You can make fun of it but it has happened before to other games as well. They work for a different company and try to eliminate their competition by ruining their game. Again, I'm not saying that this is happening. I'm just asking if I was the only one that was thinking about this, I'm not saying that this is happening.

Idk if you're serious or not but I really can't tell you what her power is. Like I said, bad stealth, tv cooldown is way too long and survivors get rid of the effect in no time... Nothing is strong about her.

And that's also one of the reasons why I keep making threads about the hackers I come across. To make it known and to show how much this actually happens. I'm very annoyed by the hacker situation and BHVR has done nothing about it, so I'm just making it known that this happens a lot more than you would think (Even though probably almost everybody already knows this by now).
I get that it's kind of annoying, but I'm just documenting my hacker experiences so I know how many times I've actually faced them. Feel free to ignore them, they're just for documentation. :-)
I totally understand the frustration and I made posts about this as well. I don't think it's a bad thing at all and I completely understand the intention.๐

Everyone wanted a replacement for the emblem system. They wanted a more accurate and consistent matchmaker, and what that means is that what most people wanted was an SBMM system. Like I said, people have a generally poor understanding of what the flaws with the MMR systems actually are.
As for the player count, yes it is. Maybe it won't be sometime later, but right now, the player count is stable enough that the game isn't suffering tremendously for it. It'd be better if the numbers were higher, but the game isn't dying. You say the SBMM is why most people left, but the reason those steam numbers went down was that the Resident Evil chapter brought in a ton of new players who didn't all stick around, which is totally normal. Maybe some people did leave because of SBMM, but it's at best completely unprovable that it's why most left.
I can't speak to streamers. No comment.
I have looked at the state of the game right now. That's how I come to these conclusions, because it's not as bad as some people claim it is.
Believe it or not but I was excited for a better matchmaking system as well. I just don't think SBMM should be in this game. I had multiple friends who quitted becuase of SBMM. I think at this point BHVR is better of just removing it and try to focus on improving the ''old'' ranking system.
I still think you are right about the playerbase and RE. Not everyone stayed, which was to be expected but I also feel like the ''loss of players'' is not just RE.

Honestly despite many of the games flaws, be it the new ones that come up or old ones that haven't been addressed yet - a lot of the more recent work is still quite incredibly well made - it's usually balance where issues arise but that's a tricky thing in a live service game I'm sure.
Even still I'm always finding random things to appreciate about the game. Whoever composes the music for BHVR is doing god's work. I cannot praise them enough
I couldn't agree more. BHVR has some extremely talented devs that (at least in my experience) keep this game alive and fun!

Yeah the rubberbanding is also a major issue at the moment as well. I've missed out on many survivor downs as killer because of it
I'm sure it gets fixed tho. Sometimes it just takes BHVR very long to fix things, but in case you are newer to dbd: After every update there is a high chance of having a / some new gamebreaking bug(s). It happens after almost every chapter.๐

True. I'll always give them a ton of credit for that. Other places in the industry sound downright psychotic with the hours they require
You can't deny this. But tbh this is how it should be. You should treat your employees like that. The people that make the Music, Graphics, Maps, Characters and Cosmetics for example are extremely talented.

No, but i have had similar thoughts such as "they intentionally add bugs to keep players engaged" but i don't really believe that's true.
SBMM has a lot of negative feedback towards it but i do think it's better than ranks, but i do think there could be something better.
Cheaters and bots are just becoming a bigger thing in online gaming in general. But i do believe they are trying hard to combat it, i recently found out how to check and all of the players i have reported with video evidence have been banned, even the subtle one that had a modified flashlight.
Optimization has been kinda bad but i think this subject is a lot more complex than it is thought to be.
The steam charts data is not very reliable. It does not account for a lot of things like the game being added to epic games store and the fact that covid restrictions being lifted have allowed people to play less games and do other stuff.
Even if the game has truly lost a lot of players, it's not losing players that quickly and right now it has a healthy population for queue times.
