  • Yup, went against a lobby where everyone was above p60 1st game then 4 p0s that ended in them all having under 5k bp.

  • I most of the time say GG

If a game really pissed me off I say nothing

If it was close I say GGWP

  • Eh I still want to see deerstaker basekit especially with the new slug changes. Change tenacity to just ya know hide your aura while on the floor would entirely solve the problem with it. I think youre focusing too much on perks that were formerly not basekit just amplifying the basekit aspect when it would probably just be better to just give it a fresh effect its not like its unheard of for a perk to lose every trace of its old effect in favour of a new one.

Lol, that is spot on. Nothing to do with the event, I had a match last night where two of the other three brought No Mither, and neither of them could loop. At all. One or the other of them was going down every 15-20 seconds or so. Unfortunately they were both running Boil Over as well, so this went on for a while (but not long enough for me to do all the gens alone), and the third didn't seem to recognize what was going on and kept dying trying to pick them up.

It was...not fun. Thank god for hatch.

Ashamed to admit that was almost me. My friend wanted to do duo no mither then bailed on me at the last second. Ending up looping the huntress for 4 gens before she gave up on hatchets and went full bloodlust 3. We ended up getting all 4 out despite my best efforts to get my friend killed in the endgame.

  • Spirit and Clown deffinitely have the best perks with it leaning slightly towards Clown although Spirit is the strong killer. I ######### love head on so Ill always reccommend jane

  • Next year maybe if they are gonna be like returning. Otherwise nope. We said we were going to have everything accesible with shards well heres a new type of cosmetics that are never gonna reach the month threshold to be shards.

  • Its most if you have odd charges left from great skillchecks or like the yellow charge addon

  • Get black juice from working on gens kicking pumpkins chase (i think dont quote me on that) and hooks it caps out at 15 on your person at a time (theres a bar next to gens done that shows you) get up to 30 depositive the bar should disappear leaving only an orange icon, if theres the orange icon and the bar is still there it just neeeds to be deposited. Deposing is at these black hole looking thigns, their auras are should to you when you have max juice you can carry, but they are like literally every 3 meters they arent hard to find. After that youll return to lobby and get 1 random weapon or shirt.

  • @GoodBoyKaru said:

Did you submit the void juice into the void deposit point? if not, don't forget to do that one.

If you did, it's entirely possible you just got a different cosmetic.

Oh the cosmetic isnt based on the survivor you actually do it on. And yeah I put 30 juice into the black holey thingies. I didnt get any pop up about something unlocked though either.

Well they cant sell them to you that way, duh. Free cosmetics mean less monry for BHVR

But but they arent being sold... theyre free.

  • I mean objectively since its the same price with just flat out more rewards yes. Whether I like the cosmitics or not ABSOLUTELY love the recolours and the deep rift outfits are just ######### amazing.

  • The head is honestly really nice but would be much better with some orange accents on the horns. The weapon and especially the body are really bland. In 1st person it looks like a ######### legacy Oni skin mod. It doesn't evne do anything cool in blood fury like the firemoon or titan skins. Hell its the first original blighted skin not to get the blighted rarity to add insult to injury.

game time is now 1 hour or 5 minutes after EGC starts. To prevent hackers from holding the game hostage.

######### yeah that was meant to be a 1.

  • @get_barted said:

There a few things in this one.

    -Flashlight changes

    -New Hag Music

-one of the items letting hackers take the game hostage

but yeah...other than that nothing of real value

Wait whats that last one? Also isnt max game length now only 2 hrs or 5 min in egc

  • They already said what it is. Falshlight change and 2 challenge selection.

  • This is a show on BHVR's behalf.

Same. The idea of how a survivor could be driven into becoming a killer was fascinating, but the Rift treated him like any other killer. I'm putting him up there with Nurse, Legion, and Hag with killers whose original vision got totally distorted (mainly because Hag's story doesn't even make any sense with the Rift stuff she got.)

The result of all this conflicting character vision feels super messy and unintentional. Can't they keep some good summaries at BHVR HQ? Keep the same writers on the same characters? I'm sick of the 'well, it could be a different version of ___' handwaving the way nothing has any internal consistency anymore.

Re:Doc, with lazy, I meant that the new version is just so uninspired. It feels low-effort, like someone scrawled it down in five minutes to get the job over with. It doesn't make you envision anything, or recoil from anything, or do anything more than the bare minimum of telling you that Herman Carter is a mean doctor who did electroshock research for the FBI. The old one was evocative. It painted his growing reputation and disconnect from ethics, the way prisoners shipped off to be disappeared begged to be sent to anyone but him, the way the halls would ring with screams... it described the graphic remains of his final actions on this plane before the Fog swallowed him up. It was good writing. This is not.

Me too I really thought that survivor to killer was an extremely intresting point of Blights lore and pretty much since 1st reading it I have always wanted Talbot Grimes as a survivor, which due to the timey wimey shennanigans of the entiy's realm would be possible. I think that having inverses of his perks would also be extremely intresting. An undying that after a boon is snuffed it is transferred to another random dull totem on the map, a blood favour that if you are hit within the boon any pallets within the boon that have been dropped are returned to their upright position and honestly dragons grip equivalent would kinda just be blastmine 2 so Im not as sure on that perk.

I think I have finally settled on an apt description of Doc's new lore, it feels like you told a 12 year old to write a summary of Doc's original lore. It just feels like a ######### short summary of his old lore that is entirely redundant,

I never knew this either. What the hell was the purpose of this? The style of lore has been becoming longer, not shorter, and the information in there is so much less interesting now. This is an M-rated horror game; there is zero reason to throw a conniption over gore.

I wonder if something in there fell afoul of some country's laws. But seriously, big L. Doc had a fantastic backstory that very thoroughly painted the kind of detached monster he was, and the new version is just... lazy.

The new version is worse than lazy because laziness would be if the original lore was as bad as his current lore. I genuinely don't know how to express the rewriting of something in a way so significantly worse and with so much less effect. Its not lazy because they went through the trouble of rewriting it, its not simply bad writing or inexperience since they already had such a good framework to go off of even if they did wish to rewrite it. I am genuinely at a literal loss of words on how to describe this abomination.

  • @Laluzi said:

The lore in this game is so incredibly inconsistent. It started with the Archives. Susie's one of the best examples, because she's simultaneously the reluctant shy girl who got peer pressured into joining a murder and also the Legion's biggest psycho who was stabbing shopkeepers and her fellow cheerleaders and making midnight art with the blood. But the Nurse is also both an angel of mercy who wanted to end the endless suffering she saw and a eugenicist who loathed her patients and wanted to cleanse the impure, and the Hag seems to simultaneously have lived in pre-1900s backwoods country and post-1950s modern suburbia? The Blight showed remorse for his actions in his initial lore and his atrocities were framed as something he'd just turned a blind eye to and never really knew the depths of, but the archives painted him as being extremely amoral and willing to commit murder out of pure convenience well before his life turnaround or his descent into madness in the Realm. And the Plague was beloved by her people for her tireless efforts to save them in her lore blurb, but her cosmetics talk about her being hella merciless and brutal.

It's so dissonant. Who are these characters supposed to be? Whatever we want them to be?

And Yun-Jin's lore didn't outright change as much as some of these guys, but her framing went from understandable denial to 'she totally knew about Ji-Woon and didn't want to ruin her image.'

They like to handwave this off as alternate universes, but I really hate that excuse because it turns anything they tell us about the killers into meaningless words.

I really liked the whole Blight largely being unaware of the causes of experiments or trying his best to remain unaware of it then slowly becoming more obsessed and eventually descending into madness it really better paints how he could end up in the entity's realm as a survivor first. But now it just feels like he was a killer through and through and was originally a survivor for shits and giggle cause it might be fun to have a former survivor as a killer.

The Doctors originally back story was detailed and a good read. They re-wrote it and not as good. Can read both in the Wiki to see what I mean.

    https://deadbydaylight.fandom.com/wiki/Herman_Carter

Oh my dear lord. I never even realised they changed his lore. At least the core lore itself is intact because it is one of the more intresting ones but holy ######### I never realised they dumbed down the actual writing in it so much. Just what was the purpose of this.

  • @RatbasterdJr said:

Might as well just give survivors basekit DS, basekit Hope but active all game, basekit OTR, might as well throw in auto DH basekit as well..

You know what, take the gens away. All survivors should have to do is load in and open a gate to escape. Don’t forget the gate starts 99’d.

You see what I’m getting at?

No I don't. You just sound insane to me.

    I like Oni's blight.

I don't think there's much could be done about him anyway, as his default appearance is already heavily altered by Entity to shape Kazan into Oni. His default outfit is already a physical manifestation of said Oni persona Kazan has been compared to.

Wesker's outfit is a letdown though, unlike Oni, he had colossal potential and it was seemingly blown out.

I have a few ideas I came up with in like 5 min

    1) have him bloated from the blood suck (also matches spirit that way)

    2) have him stuck witha bunch of syringes like his rift outfit to show how difficult it was for blight to restrain him

    3) tentacle hair dripping with blight

    4) Katanas making him look like a pin cushion

    5) massive eye on his chest.

Any of those wouldve been better imo. Like its still an alright cosmetic but it does feel like a waste of THE blighted skin he gets.

  • Mask is cool the rest is boring AF>

  • I adore playing him on certain maps, absolutely despise him on others. Its not a gamble I feel like taking when I could play a killer I consistently find fun and dont feet the need to constantly burn map offerings on.

  • @IlliterateGenocide said:

I get the map sucked for survivor but it was really nice for killers

It was nice for stealth killers or ones who need a small map like legion and doc it sucked for the likes of Billy Blight Huntress Oni Twins. Even on the killers who were good on it I found it miserably boring except for mirror myers, god I ######### loved that map for mirror myers but any other killer I groaned when I got it.

  • If my archive isnt done then oopsie doopsies someone wiggled out. Otherwise just next.

  • @lauraa said:

Hawkins had powerful tools for both roles, except if you were playing Hillbilly.

Nope that map was bloody hated when it was around. Like I miss it now but jesus when that map was still around it was a hellhole. I

  • BIlly disrepct is all over the place smh.

  • Plague for perks spirit if you only care about strength. Both are really good though but Spirit probably edges out Plague a bit. Overall I would say Plague though.

  • Im guessing its only for the cases of tunneling people for racist/homophobic/etc reasons.

  • There are a good handful of p100s like they are rare but I have seen a few.

  • @Johnny_XMan said:

The real reason: Because the devs aren’t willing to overhaul how hooks work and balance around that.

And I dont blame them? Reworking the entire system that 1 side is based around isn't a simple thing. It would take a huge amount of time and resources and would easily be the biggest change the game has ever seen. Like that sorta overhauling is full on sequel level changes. Not to mention everything else that needs changing due to being hook reliant. You say it like the devs are lazy or something, it is just a ridiculous change to expect them to make and is far too risky.

  • No not really imo and play mostly killer. Running tiles is just a skill killers need to learn and bamboozle makes decent tiles to ######### tiles with 0 skill or effort. Like any type jungle gym becomes obsolete with its window blocked and just a strong pallet instead of an actual loop. The only perks I would argue should be basekit atm are deerstalker and shattered hope(-the aura reading).

  • Head On. If I dont need another build for archives Im using Head On QnQ

  • The only thing going for him is his decent antiloop and that has the counter of widows and lockers if they learn the timing, other than that he lacks mobility or another way to gain pressure thats not just getting downs. Most people still consider him pretty mid to good so he isn't in a bad spot.

  • Im of the opinion that blindness itself needs a rework. Its just entirely luck of the draw whether its a great effect that shuts down 5 of the survivors perks and leads to someone hitting second stage of being slugged for ages or it has 0 use against any perks and is countered by comms. The effect itself needs a ground up rework imo. The only time it isn't a stupid effect imo is when inflicted on the killer.

  • @MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:

Whatever was reason, if your team fail to save you before stage 2 what are you doing? Giving up or still playing?

Yeah I usually stay on but it also sorta comes down to why you hit stage 2, was someone like 3 meters away from you then thats just unlucky, were they finishing the last gen before saving then sure maybe that was the better idea, were they sitting in a locker 6 meters away from the hook because they can still hear weskers terror radius on midwich? well then its a bit more of a pain.

  • @Nicholas said:

It has to do with Favor The Killer, and hits are still handled on The Killer's end. Hit Validation kicks in when the latency is extremely high; last I checked, that number was 300ms or higher. It is still very generous in favor of The Killer, and the Survivor often gets screwed since The Killer benefits from the latency.

    @JayDoesGames said:

Hits favor the killers view and unfortunately their bad ping gives them this kind of advantage. I have this happen so much when I have below 50 ping

Pretty sure its not any form of a ping issue as there is none of the new ping indicators.

  • @Spirit_IsTheBest said:

Omg this founds so fun and evil at the same time, I'm in for this change. But anybody who hurts Spirit gets punished.

If you shotgun a phasing spirit its deserved

  • Nope its the Freddy Falacy all over again. Nemmy has the exact same hitbox as every other killer just since he doesnt have a weapon it looks like it shouldn't hit. Wesker is another decent example of this too and legion sometimes.

  • He's the killer I want to love the most and I do on a good few maps, the issue is that he only feels fun if you get a map with decent lockers some maps your teleport feels just painfully ineffective.

  • @Digwiid said:

Bond & Vigil is the way to subtly increase their movement speed, saw a hens video about it.

An Ada Wong in my match used a Flan (cake offering) but if it isn't available in the bloodweb, how did she get it? She died too with 8k points since she got tunneled, but I'm curious to know how she got that.

Rebecca and Ada are hackers if they bring a flan specifically, Escape Cakes or BPs are fine but the orange offerings are 100% not.

  • @Ayamir said:

I agree with the well written take from @TheRockstarKnight both of them can win it depends on what factors we take into account etc.

But if we're talking about DBD lore wise Nemesis got really nerfed compared his to RE counterpart which is fine of course because he can still deal with most of the killer roster easily.

Oni lore wise might be in the top 3 most powerful killers right behind Cenobite and Pyramid Head.

Like tell me what's Nemesis(DBD lore wise don't forget)gonna do against a Japanese demon rushing at him full speed with his Kanabo about to blow his head up,whip him with his pathetic tentacle ?

Oni might even be stronger than Nemesis in term of raw strength especially while in Blood Fury and don't forget that Kazan is a experienced warlord true he never fought against some creature like Nemesis before but I am sure he'll manage and eliminate him quickly.

So yes in this case if we talk about DBD's Nemesis against Oni,Kazan will get the W and it wont be even close.

RE's Nemesis would completely murder him tho and the whole killer roster included.

Isn't good ol Micheal Myers also up there for the top 3? Being the whole incarnation of evil itself and more powerful than, or at the very least equal to the entity.

  • I feels like this was somewhere before, maybe on twitter or youtube or something. It pretty much comes down to unstoppable force VS immovable object. Since Kazan is like an actual Oni I believe he is immortal (I'm not well versed in japanese myths but I couldnt find any english articles mentioning them dying other than some anime/tv shows it would be much appreciated if someone can like confirm/deny) on the other hand Nemesis mutates at an extreme rate to combat pretty much anything possible and I'm pretty sure it took a whole ass nuke to kill him (once again I am not a RE nerd any confirmations or better information would be much appreciated). So pretty much Oni has no way of killing Nemmy but is immortal and Nemesis is in pretty much the same boat. Unless Oni goes off and does the manhattan project, which given the time Oni was alive in would take quite some time for him to make all the scientific discoveries leading up to it by which time Nemesis could have mutated to be the size of earth or something ridiculous to survive the nuke or Nemesis somehow mutates god killing capabilites.

  • @Crowman said:

The thing is increasing base ms by 5 has a much larger impact at loops and a minor impact of traversal.

Like 110 and 115 killers don't have significant difference when it comes getting from 1 side of the map to the other, but the impact of being a 110 and 115 at some tiles in the game is huge.

I think they meant to move from 100% = 4m/s to 100% = 5m/s so it would mostly be fast vaults timings/spacings that would change.

  • @Sonzaishinai said:

It's a good proof of why BHVR can't skip a chapter on health.

Seeing how people already find it "garbage" on midchapters

I think this is a poor example of them skipping the a patch for health. Very few major issues are being adressed aside from maybe hackers if it comes with this patch but we don't know. If they are taking a break and releasing a smaller midchap because of the size of the last one and what I assume will be a pretty big next on then so be it they deserve it and should not be needing to crunch or anything like that for another patch, but this is not a health patch its just a small patch.
