Just have it so the game gives the players a batch of 3-5 maps to play on. Everyone votes for what they want, and then the game randomly chooses one to use. That way players still have some influence on map chosen without it leaning towards survivors or killer.
-
Camping cages is cheap, but no rules are being broken and there's no cheating. If it's allowed to happen, people will do it. Don't hate the player, hate the game.
Complain enough and eventually it'll get changed, maybe for better, maybe for worse, who knows.
-
While I don't condone harassment, I'm wondering just how prevalent is the scenario of Bubba with smart face tunneling POC survivors, and if anything racist was being said in the end game chat.

If 'second chance' perks didnt exist then thered be barely any escapes. Youre up against a killer which is faster, have infinite use of their power, has blood lust and you have a map which has a finite number of pallets which once gone leave you with not much if anything to use.
Escape rates are already poor compared to kill rates and thats with 'second chance' perks.... imagine how bad it'd be without them. Theyre in the game because theyre needed.
Plenty of survivors escape all the time without second chance perks.
-
It would be nice if default gen kicks were a bit more impactful. Either make the regression rate for kicked gens a bit faster, or make it so kicked gens instantly regress something like 5% (and change Pop to 20%).

All they need is to have a survivors who play in Low graphic mode with High brightness.
And they can always see your traps.
Also the new grass makes it a lot easier to see traps. He was so much better before the map updates.

Sucks for killers who have to look at survivors to use their power.

Exactly. Wraith was fine where he was at before the buff. He was a non-skill killer that was a solid C killer. Now he's up there with Spirit, needing some nerfs. A killer that doesn't require a single brain-cell to use should not be this powerful.
- Rework Tier - Nurse
- Nerf Tier - Spirit, Wraith, Blight
- A Tier - Freddy, Billy
What's wrong with a killer being easy and simple to use? You're saying they're only allowed to be good if you have to get a Ph.D. for them?
-
They seriously need to give us the option to sell offerings and add ons and refund some bloodpoints.

I feel that hag traps are WAY too indulgent. They get too many, imho.
Same with the Jokester's knives. I hate these two killers the most at the moment.
Doesn't feel like 10 is too much. She doesn't get to place traps everywhere she goes, she has to move at 110 and take time to set traps where she thinks survivors will run through. A lot of them never get triggered at all. Why do you think she has too many and what do you suggest it should be reduced to?

So many "if you play spirit the you ____" posts
Woah buddy chill the hell out, me playing a killer I enjoy shouldn't hurt you so badly. Grow up, you not liking the killer is fine but attacking the person playing them is pathetic
This. I like having variety, so I tend to use all the killers that I purchased (I have all of them).
Sorry but Spirit is a part of the game. Hate the game not the player.

+ Every Suvivor uses DS!
Reality: 27% before the Nerf...
If anything, those stats show that Killers talk a lot of nonsense.
Do we know for sure though? 27% out of all survivors that do or don't have the perk available to them?
Not all the time, but in certain situations, such as during end game and they're unhooked, it really is a free escape. Either you force the DS or they crawl out and escape.
-
New Iri means you can only down 1 survivor before having to go to a locker to reload. Without it you can down at least 2 survivors before having to reload.
-
BHVR likes to take small steps. If hex perks are that much of an issue for you, then the one perk slot is worth it. You can find and destroy Ruin/Devour with it, and you have peace of mind when you know there's 0 bones left during the end game.
-
And just like that OP goes silent and doesn't make any counterarguments.
-
pay-to-win perk
All it does is show auras of far away survivors after you've successfully hooked a survivor
Used on every killer for the tremendous advantage and value
Mostly because it gives a big boost in bloodpoints, which is really useful with the amount of perks in this game
It should be a HEX perk or nerfed to lose aura reading
I don't need to read anymore. If the aura reading bothers you that much you can: Be closer than 40 meters from the killer, hide in a locker, run Distortion, go one direction during the aura read then fake back the other direction.
-
Wraith + "The Beast" + "The Ghost" with Dark Devotion + Tinkerer + Trail of Torment + Other
Survivors never know if I'm actually cloaked or not. I could be cloaked but TR is still on, cloaked but no TR, uncloaked and no TR, etc.
-
I don't like it either. Being given freedom to use your power whenever and however you feel is best feels good. It's not fun to be restricted from using the killer's power, the reason you're playing that specific killer.
Nurse used two blinks? Now you have to wait your turn and give the survivors a chance to run away before you can blink again. Billy sprinted across the map and used your chainsaw a couple of times? We're gonna make you overheat so you're whole power is disabled so you can only M1.

Clown is probably one of the best killers in the game. Discuss.
Can you join us for this discussion? What are your arguments that support your conclusion that he's one of the best?

Trapper is easily one of the most difficult killers to play as, especially without add ons.
Pros:
Can shut down loops with traps if placed properly
Traps injured survivors and keep them in place while giving you a warning
Strong killer shack potential if the basement is there
Can re-arm traps without having to pick them up
Cons:
At base, can only carry 1 trap at a time, and only starts with 1
Have to go out of your way to pick up traps on the map
Takes time to set up traps, time that survivors use to repair generators
Survivors can look at the ground where they run to make sure they don't step on any traps
Survivors can disarm traps
If you have no traps and choose not to pick one up because it's too out of the way, you're a powerless M1 killer
Anything else that I'm missing? I think Trapper needs a little something to make his game better. He is the poster boy of DbD after all.

But I need to get my self-unhook achievement!

It hasn't happened to me but...why do you have to wait until Victor pounces to kick him?
Why? I've seen it a couple of times....some start the "kick" animation and then he moves and it cancels it.
Then he gets a free hit on you. I don't know...I don't like that.
You have to wait until he pounces for you to kick him, otherwise if you're running around a loop and Victor rounds the corner, you can just kick him with no risk, since he needs to charge up his jump.
I agree that the animation shouldn't be cancelled once you start.
-
I can't wait for the grab changes to get here either.
Not for your reason, but because so often my grab as killer gets cancelled halfway through the animation.
-
Pyramid Head also disables killer perks when you think about it. If he only cages survivors, he never gets BBQ, Devour Hope, Dying Light, Make Your Choice, Pop, etc. If you really want to use your Deliverance, just watch your step and avoid his trails.
-
I'd play Myers like that all the time if I could. Sadly doing that requires an indoor map, and getting the right map offerings from the bloodweb is REALLY difficult.
-
Funny how there's people telling you to just break the doors. A lot of the time killers don't have the opportunity or time to walk to a breakable door to remove it before getting into a chase.
Imagine chasing a survivor to an area you haven't been to yet. It would take too much time to down them in the loop's current state, so you're forced to break the door to weaken the loop. This buys the survivor time to run away, most likely to another loop, which costs more time.
You can't really walk around and break a bunch of doors on the map before starting any chases. That's the issue.
-
I've said it before, just buff the gen kick to do an instant 5% regression or something, and keep the regression over time the same.
-

Survivor cant leave match with baby on their back so just let the EGC get them.
I do however feel that vincent? victor? whatever his name is needs a recall option.
Doesn't downing the survivor remove Victor? So the survivor with Victor would be right at the exit, Charlotte would hit them and has to recover, giving survivor time to crawl out.
-
I'd like Unrelenting to be changed so it's not the worst perk in the game.
-
Wraith. Predator actually works against you.

Claudette because she blends too easily

To be fair, I doubt nurse's bugs could be easily fixed. Judging from the little we know of how hit boxes, collision and dbd works, it's pretty clear that DBD is not really built very well for a killer like nurse. Trying to fix her bugs would be a slow nightmare for a normal company. For BHVR it'll be eons before they can fix her. Then a new map is introduced, maps are reworked, they make a slight change in how collision works or some other thing and nurse explodes again.
Wasn't Nurse released in 2016? I've only played since 2018, was she buggy and not working well when she first got added?
-
Don't forget Discordance got nerfed too.
-
Meg has to show off those tasty abs
-
Those bones aren't gonna break themselves
-
I can't stand how low his POV is. It's so easy to lose survivors especially in grass like in the swamp.
-
"Just don't camp!" as the survivor unhooks before the killer can even leave the hook to patrol gens.
"Just don't tunnel!" as the unhooked person with BT is body blocking you from getting to the survivor who unhooked them so they can safely get away safely.
"Just wait out BT!" as the survivor lies on the ground with DS knowing they're safe from immediately being hooked again.
-
I actually think a few more hooks should be added on some maps. The hooks in some areas are really sparse, and sometimes difficult to get the survivor to the hook before they struggle out.
-
Maybe they're trying to work on their kobe achievement? They know they can safely attempt a self unhook before you unhook them and that's probably why. I don't do it, but try to see thing from both perspectives.
-
It's a strategy if the killer wants to win. By hooking each survivor once or twice before any of them die, the killer is gimping themselves. It's a winning strategy, but not the most fun one (for survivors anyway).
-
I play survivor without DS. I'd say 9/10 times I don't get tunneled. I run Kindred/We'll Make It/Dead Hard/Adrenaline. In my mind DS is just a crutch for survivors, unless you were unsafely unhooked by a bad teammate.

Survivors DC because they don't want to play against your bullshit builds or easy-mode killers. I love how I only ever see the ones complaining about people disconnecting are killer players that got their stack/mori/tunnel/camp/forever build/Freddy/Legion/Spirit/iri-head denied.
If you want to play in an unenjoyable way, expect people to not want to play against it. No DC penalty will ever stop it - in fact a hard DC ban in this specific game will just greatly reduce the amount of people that play the game, which I believe the devs deserve to see.
Oh yes. Survivors only DC because killers are playing scummy, of course. I guess me chasing and downing survivors with any killer is too unpleasant for them. I should instead wait in the corner of the map and let survivors finish then gens, then watch them leave.
-
Thanatophobia is now good on Plague, since it affects other actions more and doesn't affect healing.
-
I like it because its forcing survivors to cleanse totems. You see a dull totem near that gen you're about to work on? Cleanse that #########. Guess what? That's 1 less totem that Ruin could possible transfer to. It also could have prevented a possible NOED.
Need more help? Run Detective's/Small Game or bring a map. The meta is shifting slightly, maybe you should update your builds too.
-
I had the same problem. Literally could not see any part of the survivor while chasing them through the tall grass, had to guess half the time where they went.
-
Never. I find it funny how often killers give pity hatch compared to how often survivors give pity kills.
-
Yeah I'm tired of the killers always abusing bloodlust 3. /s

Watching the matches, it just looked miserable playing as the killer.
Don't both teams get a chance to play each side? Isn't it balanced in that case?

Are you taking into account survivors who suicide on hook? Or survivors who are just AFK?
