Except you usually cannot win by camping unless the Survivor's allow it too.

That's why it is prevalent at low ranks and not so much at higher ranks.

This; and if it is happening at higher ranks, it's because survivors in those games are pepegas.

Its a very dull part of the game. Again though you’re not looking at this in context. The OP clearly states killers leaving survivors to bleed out while watching over them.

Why are the killer mains always conveniently glossing over this? Just be honest its because you dont want anything to interfere with slugging for the 4k because it means that much to you....even though the killer has the ability to close the hatch now.

Nobody is glossing over it being "dull". Nobody cares about it being dull. Being looped is also very dull. Around and around in a circle, drop safe pallet, rinse, repeat. Abuse god window, rinse repeat. You don't think that's dull?

Deal with it. Not everything needs to be done to suit survivors delicate sensibilities. When you get slugged, it's part of the game, and it's called pressure. Just like when you loop a killer, it's called a distraction so your team can do gens.

I can see why people talk to you how they do. You're biased and one-sided, and want everything spoon fed to you. You're not worth the keystrokes because you blatantly ignore all logic. Later, lol

I mean endgame. Why would someone bleed out when there are other survivors left to pick them up?

Stop getting riled by the thought of something taking away your precious 4k

Bleeding out is part of the game. Slugging is a tactic. You have plenty of counters to it. Survivors in no way need yet another spoon fed way out of something.

Killer's best friend is time. Slugging provides them time.

Stop getting riled by the though of something taking away your precious 4-minutes.

  • Because it is okay. It's a legitimate play style.

  • Now, put that build on a Wraith with Shadow Dance. POGGERS, dude.

  • It goes both ways sometimes. Sometimes a killer will swing at a survivor and it simply won't register. It's not survivor exclusive. It's a byproduct of dedicated server latency.

Remember - it was survivors who wanted dedicated servers to begin with. Killers never wanted this.

That isn't holding the game hostage, the only way you can hold a game hostage is to make it impossible for the game to end. Being blocked into a corner with the trap ticking down means the game will end

    This.

    Do these perks stack together?

Does Myers ACTUALLY vault faster than normal when in tier 3 or is it just one of those illusions like people thinking the Trapper is too fast.

It sure seems like it does. I only have bamboozle 2 and vaulted with Myers in tier3 and it felt more like 40% bonus speed than 12%. Question is does this actually stack with fire up? In Tier 3 with Bamboozle 3 and all the Fireup stacks he must vault like an absolute legend.

Does he also break pallets faster in Tier 3? The same question to this then as well.

Yes to everything except the pallet breaking thing, I'm actually not sure about that.

    Yeah ok.

I'm playing this game cause I like this game.

That first clip? That was after hours of the same crap over and over again.

The rest are literally me being shocked

Do you like it, though? Judging by the videos, you actually sound like it makes you quite miserable and angry.

Seriously, though, as I said, if you do have anger problems, doing or playing something that even after a few hours infuriates you enough to have a temper tantrum over it is literally just going to make it worse. Not better.

  • Hell, remove NOED completely just to get rid of DS.

Deadhard is easy to see coming from a mile away (deadhard gamers all play the same way). Borrowed time can be circumvented, unbreakable is a necessary evil, and like deadhard you can see it coming from a mile away.

As for adrenaline, it should give you a speed boost. Not heal you.

DS is the only one that has no real counterplay.

    Let me tell you something.

First off, when it happens the first few times, whatever, but when it happens again and again and again it starts getting to you.

And yes, I have anger issues and I'm trying to work on them

If you are trying to work on anger issues, the worst thing you can do (and any anger management counselor will tell you the same thing) is do something that infuriates you so much. You can't get better and continue to enable yourself.

Ahhh, but you see, Billy and Freddy happened already. Fortunately, those with brains in their skulls shut those baby survivors down. They knew they couldn't win that argument, so they moved to NOED, an even more unwinnable argument.

  • It's a multiplayer video game. There will always be cocky people.

I'm confused though. You said they were a good Nurse. Then you implied that they weren't. Were they good or not?

As mentioned dull totems when your camping or tunneling which is fine and not bannable but oh god it’s the end of the world that we actually ask that you earn your noed not be rewarded for gameplay that turns new people away killing a game further than what is already done point is you need to do something for your noed getting insta hits when you played like crap the whole game it’s not fair not fun and sure the hell not balanced and before you talk DS or BT just know those perks got there nerf into the ground last year

Right after survivors "earn" all 948394893483498348394834983849 of their second chances, we can talk about one of the few second chance killer perks.

  • They have in the past. For much larger franchises.

A comment like this admits defeat, have a good night.

I hope one day, I can be your teammate while you are camped. I will not touch a single gen and only look for totems...if I was on a SWF team I’d also tell them to go find those bones while you die. When you cry I will tell you i was trying to counter NOED. You will probably have suicided on hook and left anyway though. All the while at least one more will have likely died because of the time wasted. You can’t win...look for totems against a camper? At least one more is probably going to die. Don’t cleanse and he has NOED? At least one more is probably going to die. A shame you are being biased and don’t see it.

Really? A comment like "nuh uh I don't believe you" also admits defeat. I win.

  • @Karl_Childers said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1097226#Comment_1097226

Dont believe you at all, sorry. Nobody cleanses dulls against a camper, come on now. I’m sure the guy on the hook REALLY appreciates you running around not on gens while he’s dying. Let’s be serious. Ok , well DS can be 100% prevented outside of the guy crawling to the gate at endgame. Don’t pick them up or open the locker. So it only needs to be looked at after the gates are opened according to your logic? Are we conceding that? Otherwise, you are not forced to pick the survivor up.

If you’re going to fail to see the flaw in NOED, then I’m going to ignore it with DS.

Maybe you don't. That's why NOED is such a problem for you. It's not the perks fault, it's your own negligence. The only flaw in NOED is lazy survivors who insist on genrushing.

NOED is a balanced perk. it has huge downsides, and can be dictated by survivors. DS, not so much. You're wrong, I'm right, have a nice day.

  • @imlegion said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1097135#Comment_1097135

Agreed and most survivors would agree you need to earn your insta down not just given it for bad play I’ve been seing a lot of killers not care about the gens and just use noed to destroy end game

You could argue that gen rushing and not doing totems is also a bad play.

  • I'd like to see a Deadite Ash skin.

Or an Ash skin with a chainsaw....for Hillbilly. :P

  • @Karl_Childers said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1097205#Comment_1097205

And the NOED complaints can be legit. Survivors complain about camping? They are told just do gens. Survivors complain about NOED? They are told don’t be lazy and do totems. Don’t you see the conflict there? That’s equally as legitimate as any DS complaint. A killer who does nothing should not get that power, especially when the survivors have no choice. I mean, if you’re going to tell me you cleanse dulls against a camping killer, I’m just going to laugh and not believe you whatsoever. Both perks have issues, I think DS should be disabled if another survivor is hooked, but the timer should be removed. THAT becomes the timer. With NOED, only survivors who have been hooked become exposed. Campers likely get no benefit. That’s fair.

No. they can't be legit. The basis for all NOED complaints is "overpowered, no counter". Maybe with old NOED, they would be legit complaints, but not now. It's existence is entirely up to the survivors. They can decide whether it exists or not. Not nearly as legitimate as any DS complaints, cause unlike NOED (and this is a battle you'll never win), there are times DS literally can not be avoided.

And yes, I do cleanse dulls when facing a camping killer. It's a strong likelyhood the killer will get 2 people if they camp, but camping killers are bad at chasing, and getting rid of NOED makes it even harder for them.

TL;DR - NOED can be prevented completely. 100% of the time. It has a HUGE downside. If it procs, it's entirely the survivors fault. DS can not always be avoided. Even with slugging.

I'm sorry - but you're incorrect here. You need to actually think about what is and isn't balanced.

  • The tryhard, sweaty memers tend to come out on the weekends. I usually advise newer killers to hold off playing on weekends lol

  • @Karl_Childers said:

It’s obviously a response to all the constant crying about DS and BT. The forum has been loaded with that lately, both but more DS. It’s the reactionary thing, “you want this nerfed, this should be nerfed too”. It’s not wrong though as there really should be a requirement for the killer to proc NOED aside from a single dull totem.

Except when people complain about DS, it's legitimate. Because unlike NOED, there are times where DS can not be avoided, even by slugging.

Nurse hasn't been S tier since they gutted her map mobility. She's still the best in the game, but she definitely isn't overpowered.

Freddy is an M1 killer. As good as he is, he relied on Ruin quite a bit.

She wasn't overpowered before. Her addons were. She's still S tier in the right hands, cause her skill ceiling is still head and shoulders above every other killer.

  • It's crossplay but not what you think. It's between Steam and Windows 10 store only.

    Wow...I was expecting a 6 or a 7 but 4? As in you think it's underpowered. I'm genuinely surprised.

I guess I see it in a different perspective, I never considered it through bloodpoints or pips. As a fellow killer main I judge it through it's lethality and if you are in a game where you are having difficulty winning two Chase's on a single survivor then that game is probably already lost regardless of a Mori in play.

You are also right that killers rarely use mori's, I personally don't use it because it feels very cheap to use it, I genuinely feel bad if I equip it.

Keys also feel cheap and yes Franklin's can help but sometimes you don't even know a key is in play. And there are certain scenarios that have no counterplay like when you close the hatch and the survivor is standing there with key. Just a 5 second animation would be enough.

I agree with the no stack with infantry belts.

I didn't say it was underpowered. 4, maybe 5. Based on the downsides alone.

I only really bring a mori if it's someone I know (I'd expect the same from them:P), someone with the name "Mori me", a team of Blendette's...or a whole team of Pizza Dwights. Those guys are up to no good.

That's not a good excuse. All you have to do with any hex perk is clean the totem but all hexs still require effort on the killers part. All hexs except noed. Even new ruin requires killers to put pressure on survivors. That's one reason devs changed ruin because it was too passive; requiring little to no effort on the killers part to get its benefit. This is the reason no one complains about devour hope. That perk is actually stronger than noed but it requires the killer to actually do something. It doesn't come for free.

Noed doesn't require effort? You mean, the killer can see all his non lit totems and defend them at all times? (spoiler, they can't). In order to guarantee that noed exists, the killer would have to protect his dull totems. Except the killer doesn't know where they are, so you are free to destroy them at your will.

This isn't an argument you can win.

  • If you uncap your FPS in the GameUserSettngs file, it will only uncap to a max of 120. To go above that, you need to uncap it in the engine.ini file. There's user guides on steam for how to do it. :) You have to add a few lines to the file.

@Frankie if so, it is still frustrating to get on here any see every post complaining about noed and how it's OP, uncounterable, etc. In one post I saw someone complaining about it and mentioned they have *almost* 200 hours. That's not enough to learn the maps and stuff. Just because someone isn't good at something y e t doesn't mean it needs to be lowered to their level so they don't have to put any time and effort into it.

Rank 20s at their finest. amirite?

  • @Bard said:

As of right now, because of the recent nerfs to Nurse/Spirit, the removal of Ruin, and the fluctuating state of Oni...

    S tier (busted): crickets

A tier (strong): The Nurse, The Hillbilly

B tier (somewhat good): The Oni, The Spirit, The Nightmare, The Huntress, The Doctor, The Demogorgon

C tier (somewhat weak): The Hag, The Plague, The Wraith, The Ghost Face

D tier (very weak): The Pig, The Shape, The Trapper

F tier (trolling): The Cannibal, The Legion, The Clown

Before the update that got rid of Ruin, lots of killers would have been placed one or more tiers higher than where they were, but now that that's gone they simply don't have time.

Freddy is A tier, Nurse is still S tier. You just have to be an S tier Nurse player for her to be S tier.

  • In simplest terms, they want NOED nerfed because:

    MAD CUZ BAD.

    @Steve0333 said:

The only requirement I would add to noed is that a survivor is only given the exposed status effect at the end game if the killer hooked them at least once during the trial. That way the killer would have to do something to get its full benefit other than being a complete camping potato or a killer who tunnels one survivor the entire game and then cries about "gen rushing."

OR, you could just destroy totems. There's only 5.

  • @OperationMintyHippo said:

Just cleanse totems. There's literally only ever 5 on the map. They take like 15 seconds to do. Just take the time from sitting on gens to do totems. If you're struggling to do gens because of killer pressure and can't find the time to do totems then it probably won't get to that point anyway. Noed is 100% counterable. Don't know where the totem spawns are? Learn the maps like everyone else.

For reference, I don't ever use noed when I play killer, but I understand why people feel the need to use it lately (especially with green rank killers getting red rank survivors). Most of my experience is with survivor, but I am high rank for both lately. Noed is annoying if we didn't plan ahead, but that is our fault.

Stop complaining and learn to play the game instead of asking for an easy win ffs.

Don't worry about it. The BHVR sides with killers on the NOED front.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1097085#Comment_1097085

I'm just trying to figure out where you are coming from. So out of 10 (10 being overpowered and 1 being useless) where do you place keys and ebony Mori? And what would the threshold be that would require a Nerf?

Lol at "people with your attitude", definitely proved your point lol

From a killer main perspective? Mori's are not worth running. You lose out on bloodpoints, you lose sacrifice/emblem points etc. Why do you think killers have so many mori's? Because they use them so rarely (aside from yellow and brown ranks, but that's a different conversation, the novelty hasn't worn off on them yet). Why do you think killers run them so rarely? Because we'd rather have bloodpoints.

So, given that killers are punished for using them, pretty heavily (like, we could bring an ebony and depip for using it), and that it takes a 2 full chases and a hook to even use it, I would say they are mildly unbalanced, but not this overpowered harbinger of doom people say it is. 4/10 for Mori's

Keys? I don't really care about keys. They can't be used until the end of the game, and there's a counter to them. It's called Franklin's Demise. All I would do to adjust keys is perhaps get rid of the addons that allow you to keep them on use/death. For keys, same as mori's. 4/10

"Requires a nerf" is subjective, but for me the threshold would be 8/10. For example, the Iri head is a good 9/10. The correct way to nerf it would be to still have it be a one hit down, but only on long shots. No close up one hit downs. Or, make it so it can't stack with the infantry belt. Either one would be fine.

  • I mean...the movies kind of sucked...but it wasn't because of Kane.

The concept of a killer named Jacob Goodnight excites me.

    @DBD_Pinhead said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1097056#Comment_1097056

So let me make sure I understand your logic. It's ok to Nerf something if it is op like irri heads, nurse add-ons etc...so does that mean that keys and Mori offerings are balanced in your eyes?

Addons vs. Offerings. Killer specific vs. Killer universal. Two completely different things.

I didn't say they were balanced. I said they don't need to be nerfed. People with your attitude of "nerf everything waaaaa" are going to turn DBD into a snoozefest because you take the game too damn seriously.

  • @ermsy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1097036#Comment_1097036

By that logic why not just up the rarity of irri heads as well? Why is it ok for that to be nerfed but the others not.

Better yet why did we Nerf/change nurses, spirits and Freddy's add-ons? Would it have been better to just change the rarity if the add-ons?

Because Iri heads are actually OP. They require no effort. Mori's at least require a full chase (which can take up to 3-4 gens against a good survivor), and a hook, then another chase. They are effectively an earned kill.

And Nurse's addons for omega blink/3-5 blinks were FAR worse than mori's. Spirits addons were BS, and Freddy? Well, one could argue that nerf was unnecessary, because the nerf they made was so inconsequential.

If you're going to compare apples to oranges, best not try to have this discussion.

True not everything needs to be nerfed, just certain things need to be nerfed. Things that when you play against it you think "well that wasn't fair", things like irri heads or keys or mori's.

Iri heads, yes. Keys and mori's, no. They just need their rarity upped by like, 10x. If you nerf them beyond where they are, they will be useless and not worth using.

  • @ermsy said:

Both keys and Mori offerings need to be nerfed. Both are really unfun to play against.

Neither need to be nerfed. They just need to be made more rare.

Not EVERYTHING needs to be nerfed. There is such thing as overbalance, and it's what kills games by making them a boring snoozefest.
