Just balance slugging and No ED so they're fun to play against and I'm happy.

    Not asking for too much

Slugging is balanced. There's 2 perks that counter it. NOED is balanced, there's 2 perks and an item that can help you destroy totems, which counters it.

Boom. Winning has never been so easy (and you really do make it brilliantly simple). Get good.

    /thread

  • Loadouts. Not just perks, but items, addons and even cosmetics.

  • I assume this streamer had 3 people watching them. This is why.

being slugged on the ground for the entire match sucks..and its the tactic now. its rare but it happens. and DC'ing is out of the picture now; so itd be nice if we were given a "forfeit" option at least.

I'd be okay with a forfeit option. As long as it doesn't open the hatch.

dude. i dont think there is anything wrong with saying that killers who slug survivors for no other reason other than to watch them slowly bleed out are being a dick.

There's nothing wrong with saying they're scummy. But there's everything wrong with saying it should be bannable.

  • @thesuicidefox said:

Yea I've been getting a lot of survivors lately that get mad I'm slugging them. It's like, would you rather I slug you and you stay in the game or I pick you up and kill you?

The only time slugging is lame is if the killer goes way out of their way to 4 man slug with 4/5 gens left. Beyond that, I have no problem with it.

I mean, yeah. I don't endorse slugging at the beginning like that (unless it's a team full of people with keys or toolboxes. They can get the franklins and slug treatment so they don't walk out of that game with their item). But like, if there's 1 gen left and they are all in close proximity and they've been bullies all round, hell yeah. Slug them all and let them bleed out.

A full chase and a hook isn’t that hard especially if you’re playing an insta-down killer like Billy or you’re Nurse/Spirit. Sometimes even as killer like Pig I get my first down in less than 30 seconds.

Then you tunnel the unhooked survivor and you have three survivors with four gens left. It’s never a pleasant experience to face a mori.

Then you can get outplayed by having two gens left and two survivors and they find the hatch. They literally skipped their objective because they brought in an item.

Honestly I think the hatch shouldn’t spawn until ALL gens are done or there is one survivor left so then at least the survivors did their objective.

Just my take on keys/moris. I can never defend either one of them.

It's not hard all the time, no. It depends on many factors. The fact is, there is effort involved. Mori's are fine, they just need to be more rare. Killers are more advanced ranks don't use them.

Comparing DS to purposefully leaving people to bleed out to troll them. 🙄

and again, you say I’m entitled...

Yes, DS, the perk with no valid counterplay OTHER than slugging...or..SLUGGING, the tactic with literally 2 perks that counter it. But I wouldn't expect you to run No Mither. You just want easy games.

    Bring it dude, lol

What entitlement? What does the killer gain from leaving all 4 to bleed out?

It’s only done to ruin the game for other people. Unless you take enjoyment in that, and you call ME entitled...

A win without a pip, for those who don't want to rank up for a variety of reasons. One big reason being that purple ranks have the best queue times as killer.

If you're that impatient about waiting for minutes, just DC, and wait 5. It's part of the game, there's a bleedout timer, and it's not breaking any rules. DS ruins the game for a lot of killers. You can hook 2 other people and still be hit by it, or even worse, if someone is unhooked during EGC, you're screwed. There's zero counterplay to DS if the doors are opened.

But yes, let's worry about survivors having to lay on the ground for a few minutes. LOL. It absolutely IS entitlement. You think you're entitled to have fun. You think it's the killers responsibility to make sure you have fun? No. It's not. Make your own fun, get good, don't get caught. Otherwise deal with being slugged.

I agree that DBD is a party game and extremely casual and it should not be taken too seriously, but sometimes you gotta know when something to too powerful.

Things like moris on first down, BNP’s instantly fixing generators, Prayer Beads, Omega Blink, Oni’s 180° flick, etc...are just a bit too strong and needed a change.

Keys and moris are a bit too strong and offer an early escape/kill for little effort.

No they shouldn’t be nerfed to a boring snoozefest but it’s not exactly a fun scenario for the opposing side in their current side. You just feel cheated.

Keys aren't usable until the end of the round, and more times than not killers tunnel the person with the key. Mori's require a full chase, a hook, and another full chase in order to use. "No effort".

Just make them more rare so newer killers (in the case of mori's) can't get a hold of them as often. The seasoned killers who have hoards of mori's...they don't have all those mori's because they use them. They don't use them much, if at all.

  • So, abiding by the rules of the game to complete the objective said game gives you is a "sad attitude" because it doesn't follow the non-existent imaginary book of Killer rules written by survivors? Noted. I'm not even more inclined to slug. I really don't give a crap what survivors find fun or boring, honestly. Survivors like you don't care how long you abuse a god window, or loop a pallet, so I'm not about to start caring about your fun. I play to win.

    Pretty much this.

There are three kinds of slugging..

    • Slugging to build pressure or avoid DS - Fine
    • Slugging for the 4k - Boring
    • Slugging to let people bleed out - Not ok.

I think most people agree the first option is ok. The second is debatable depending on who you ask. The third should be bannable imo

I get why killers slugged for the 4k before because the hatch was completely survivor sided but with the new EGC being heavily killer sided and killer being able to close the hatch I don’t think it’s needed anymore. Its just really boring. If the killer sees the other survivor as they slug one its ok but when they go on a full 4 minute hunt looking for a blendette in the cornfields I’m really not surprised that so many people disconnected.

This forum would have you believe devs hate killers and love survivors and yet this is still in the game.

    AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

    BANNABLE

    OH. MY. GOD.

That's the best thing yet. I love it. Holy crap, lol

The entitlement is REAL, holy smokes, lmao

  • @LetsPlayTogether said:

Players relying on slugging just couldnt do their objective the proper way, so they had to outdo basical game mechanics to ensure kills that wouldnt have been their else. Those are the bad ones.

You can tunnel mori people with the Ivory at red ranks and still pip just fine, assuming the rest of the people don't suicide because of it. There is literally no downside.

You can tunnel mori 3 people and still black pip fine, easy 4k even at red ranks. Just use whispers so you always 4k.

I tombstone 2 people and black pip 4k all the time.

But it's a "severe" penalty to black pip while you depip the entire lobby and they get like 3-5k points each right?

How do you know you depipped the entire lobby? If you're doing that at red ranks, those survivors are boosted to all hell and shouldn't have been in red ranks to begin with; and yes, you can pip with an ivory mori at red ranks, if you 3 hook everyone else after, and keep your gatekeeper and chaser emblems high, which is a lot easier to do without using the mori. As for mori-ing 3 people - I'd like to see you record a game for me of you black pipping with 3 mori's in a game at rank 1. I'm genuinely curious how you managed to do what so many other established killers have such a hard time doing.

Since you do it all the time, it should be easy for you.

"Something that can be powerful but not good at the same time"...does that apply to mori's and keys based on your earlier assessment? Are they not good?

They are powerful, and not good at the same time, yes. They have huge downsides.

If you run a key, you're likely to get tunneled and not even get to use it.

If you run a mori, you're severely penalized for using it in terms of emblem/objective.

Honestly, bud, just stop. Your obsession is starting to freak me out.

    Does that word trigger you?

Ok let's step away from that word since it upsets you so much. Let's use one that you have used.

I'll just repeat what I said earlier since you've conveniently sidestepped it.

Calling something powerful then giving it a low score on power is contradictory...is it not?

It didn't trigger me in the least. I'm fine with it. It's you who seems to harbor an obsession with it. I would look into that. Seems like an issue. I didn't sidestep the word. I didn't even use the word.

Something can be powerful, and not good at the same time. This is what you're not grasping. You just keep swinging off the nutsack of a word that I never used o.O

It's actually worrying at this point.

The ban started at 3:30 not 5 min. Lol, i'm not a professional editor. So, you think this is fake?

If it started at 3:30, why did it start at 2:56 in the video? I don't know if it's fake, but it definitely looks like the video is missing some parts, which...I mean, doesn't make it look exactly genuine. There's also the fact that the bans start at 5 minutes...which begs the question, why didn't yours? The sequence is the same for everyone. What are you leaving out?

  • @ermsy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1099013#Comment_1099013

4 is slightly underpowered...5 is balanced. I don't know why it's so hard to comprehend. You are the one that tripped yourself up, don't get mad at me.

Calling something powerful than giving it a low score on power is contradictory...I didn't do that, I didn't force you to do that.

Bro, you have nothing. You're the one who continues to use the word underpowered. Do you think they are underpowered? You must. You can't seem to stop using the word, and you're literally the only one using it.

Spoiler: You'll never win this. Back away slowly.

  • Slugging is a great way to add pressure. The only ones who whine about it are rank 20s who want everything nerfed cause they were left on the ground and couldn't spam their flashlight anymore.

  • The penalties start at 5 minutes. Yours started at 2:56 apparently.

Unless I'm mistaken in those times, this looks like some very amateur and shoddy video editing. Unless of course the times are different on console. But even then, console captures are already very highly compressed, so I question why your video was in a video editor to begin with.

  • @ermsy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1099005#Comment_1099005

4 out of 10 is underpowered lol how do you not understand that?

4-5 out of ten is middle of the road. You're the one repeatedly using the word "underpowered". I even specified they were powerful, but with huge downsides. You literally have nothing on me if you have to manufacturer statements that I never used. You're trying to outwit me and failing worse than a facecamping Bubba with speed limiter.

But okay - stick to your piddly little weak strawman argument. Keep making yourself look silly, haha

The problem is DBD isn't a card game or a board game. It's not like playing Uno where you put little skill and effort in, so you're not so bothered when you get screwed by random chance.

DBD is a videogame. You can put blood, sweat and tears into a game as killer. Working your ass off against a swf genrush squad. Eventually they make a mistake, they 3 gen themselves. You've eliminated one of them. You feel like you've really worked hard for this victory......oops they all just jumped through the hatch. Despite all your hard work and you giving it 110% effort you get.... ENTITY DISPLEASED.

DBD is about as casual as it gets. It's basically a party game. The problem isn't the so-called OP stuff in the game. The problem is people like you, who take it too seriously and want it nerfed down to a boring snoozefest.

Stop trying to ruin DBD with your delicate sensibilities and inability to see a game as just a game. You've been told, repeatedly, by many in this forum that people with your attitude are the problem more or less. That should be an indicator. When most of the people disagree with you, it goes beyond being opinion, and even further from being fact. You're just wrong, and salty that you got mori'd, or had a survivor use a key.

  • Pretty much, yeah. If you go into a game with a key in your hand, you're asking to be tunneled.

  • @chenais said:

Lately, I saw a lot of killers complaining about survivors being overpowered. This is not true! How about all killer crutches? Ebony moris, iridescent head, infinite tier 3, all a free win! How about all the weird hitboxes and dead hard that often bugs? How about the indoor maps? How about the stats that devs showed that told that killers had a 60%-75% kill rate depending on the killer? I meen, yes ruin nerfs maybe have dropped the numbers, but they are still perks like corrupt intervention that allow killers to stop generators early game. Killers have noed, to. So the kill rate must be around 50%. Killer mains, explain to me why survivors are overpowered.

On a side note, I am not doing this post to tell that killers are overpowered, I get it, they have a few issues like 4 man swf, all I am trying to do it to convince killers complaining that the game is balanced.

Hi, you must be a rank 20. Welcome to DBD. Stay a while, learn the game, and get back to us.

  • AHAHAHAHAHAHA.

That's really all I can say to this thread. That's how ridiculous it is.

Let's remove pallets too, while we're at it. LOL

  • @PacifiedByDaylight said:

Keys need to have long opening animation and killers should be allowed to grab survivors who used a key.

As for mories, idk. If they get nerfed too much, they should be decreased in rarity.

That's really the only way to nerf mori's without making them absolutely useless all together. Make them more rare. Even still, they are rarely used to begin with (because there's huge downsides) and aren't really an issue. There's a reason killers have hoards of them; and it's not cause they use them every game.

  • @magrag156 said:

I asked the same question about 2 hours ago and their answer to it is, its a playstyle and the killer can do what they want.

I understand where you are coming from, there has been a lot of camping as of late and i think its because of the state the game is in.

Or the killer is a newbie and doesnt know how to play the game well yet.

So, I can tell you're fairly new to the game like the OP.

When DBD first came out, there were tutorial videos in the game that you could watch. A killer how to, and a survivor how to. The killer how-to literally depicted camping as the optimal and intended way to get kills.

It's a legitimate playstyle, and has nothing to do with skill. Sometimes killers just feel like camping.

    @magrag156 said:

Ok so is looping but the killer still complains about it.

And? What's your point? Camping has counters, so does looping.

If you were trying to make a point, you fell flat.

  • @Onyx_Blue said:

@ClickyClicky Clown has very strong chase pressure. Thus that's his style of map pressure. If you dominate chases, you can easily throw your presence around. People wanna heal vs intimidating chasers. The more they heal the less time gens are being repaired. And when they are done, they are so at the expense of staying injured vs a killer whom finds it very easy to get hits.

Clown is nowhere near as weak as people say he is. You just need to learn his unique strengths and apply his power in the best way to uncover it

    lolwut

Again you keep going on about “pressure”. Its like your purposefully ignoring the fact that in the context of this thread it was NOT about “pressure” slugs, it was about slugging people and leaving them to bleed out just to ruin the game for them. There’s a huge difference and the fact that you keep ignoring this makes me question your motives.

As for the rest of your post I’ve said many times that god loops are dull and should be removed, so much for the bias huh? The forum is full of killer mains and they can’t stand to hear any defense of “the other side”.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1098534#Comment_1098534

No, because I can go watch youtube or something while I wait for the DC penalty to be out. I don't usually DC to mori's, but honestly when you hit an iri head huntress with a mori, do you ever expect anything except a hatch game? If the huntress has the slightest amount of brain cells?

Tunnel mori is a massive waste of time for all the survivors, and I say that as a killer main who does it. You can't win if the killer is anywhere decent. Even an Ivory tunnel mori is a game-ender, cause you can off someone at 4-5 gens left and it's GGs. Ebony is just for BM.

Then you could even toss on the very balanced NOED and there's literally nothing the survivors could do even if they somehow, someway, managed to get the best map RNG of all time and run you for 4-5 gens (which doesn't happen to good killers btw) cause you just 1 shot whoever made it to the exit gate.

    Balanced game BTW.

You could have done that anyway, after being mori'd. So...I repeat...by directly causing you to have to wait longer, how are you not wasting your own time?

Isn't the entire point of survivor to waste the killers time in a chase? Why is it okay to do that but not okay for the killer to respond in kind? One-sided much? lol

Permanently banning people for something that shouldn't have even been there is not the direction you want any game developer to go into, two weeks is pretty hefty for a casual game to be banning people for, I think it's fine.

And for what it's worth, I don't think anyone even got banned for the legion exploit.

There were Legion players that were permanently banned.
