I just had a game where I destroyed all 5 totems, and we still did all the gens and escaped in under 10 minutes. Solo queue, no map, no perk to help me. Killer had NOED, but I destroyed the totems. Also double pipped. All at rank 2.
But no. There's no counter.

I literally run Inner Strength and Head On. I love lockers. I stay injured until someone gets picked up and then go into the locker so I heal and avoid BBQ at the same time to maximize efficiency.
That's the reason why No ED is bad. It's extremely inefficient to search for all the totems and you can't trust your solo queue teammates to do it if you don't take it upon yourself
The reason NOED hurts you is actually your own fault. Not because NOED is bad. This is a matter of you having a plethora of options to prevent it, and not wanting to partake in any of said options.
Get better. Stop being lazy. Cleanse totems.
-
There is nothing at all wrong with ultra rare items existing and being OP. It's a casual game.
You think you want all this stuff nerfed, but you really don't. There's such thing as overbalance, and the way the newbie generation of DBD player is complaining about everything, they are going to turn it into a snoozefest.
-
The thing that makes NOED frustrating is the survivors too lazy to cleanse totems. NOED works like every other hex.
Ruin: Only notifies a survivor if the effect is applied in their view.
Huntress Lullaby: Notifies the survivor as soon as they start a generator that Lullaby is active.
Haunted Grounds: PAINFULLY it's a risk. If you know they have Huntress Lullaby or Ruin, but you see 3 totems...make your choice.
NOED: Same as ruin - only notifies the survivor when the effect is actively shown to them. In this case, someone getting hit.
Stop asking to be spoon fed and have your hand held. Cleanse totems. Get out of yellow/brown ranks and get better at the game.

It's not too much.

I think there shouldn't be any dc penalties. The devs want my money and they think they can take them by not letting me play their game? Hell no. Dc penalties are bs. I payed the game and I'm allowed to do what i want. Who cares to git gud.
Am I Right?
No, you're not right. You agreed to terms of use the second you started the game.

Five, bright white totems exist on maps. NOED depends on these. They can be destroyed and prevent noed from ever happening. Doesn't have a counterplay.
You can tell this person is new, and just needs to git gud.

Imagine posting an unnecessarily rude comment “next”ing someone and then continuing to respond.
There was nothing rude about his comment.

In this scenario how can you allow one survivor to unhook two people and also open the exit gate though, that sounds like a bad play on killers behalf
I was going by the survivor rule book. "Don't camp".
Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Nope, there's maps where the Level designing team has done a better job in hiding totems (and that's what they're supposed to do, but they are refrained from NOED to continue improving them) and spending the time to find those 5 totems, especially against good killers that know how to apply pressure rather than living up to one no-brainer perk, is just gonna kill you and potentially the entire team.
There's maps and perks to use to make finding totems consistently easy, and there shouldn't even be! Totems should be bloody hidden and hard to find! But here you are, defending a perk that is indeed unreliable, unneeded for good killers, and detrimental for every other Hex perk.
Really?
*looks at detectives hunch and rainbow map*
No? Really?
Again - don't be lazy.
You're complaining that they are hard to find, yet also complaining that you have tools to help you. You can't have it both ways. NOED is fine. Period.

Imo the 5 minutes penalty on 1st DC is set to high. It should be more like 1-2 minutes.
Or, you could just not DC.

Am I Right?
No. You agreed to their end user license agreement when you started playing the. You are not allowed to "do whatever you want".
Stop DCing, and the penalties won't be an issue.

If I can slug to counter DS, you can do it.
See? That's how I know you have no argument.
I win. Git gud.

Well, it's easy to cleanse 5 totems for a full comms SWF which almost makes it useless for those, while it makes it something completely unfair to deal with for Solo/Duo players.
Considering the possibility of the perk being powereless and unused vs good SWF teams and that no real good killer player needs it and that it's likely to just come in action by giving away free kills that are really undeserved objectively, I really wish that it got nerfed for the sake of actual normal Hex perks.
For a full comms SWF...or for someone who can count to 5.
Stop making excuses for being lazy or negligent. I play solo exclusively and I'm far from the best survivor. If I can do it, you can do it.
-
That's a you problem. Not a NOED problem. Git gud.

Looks like you tunneled. Unfortunate.
The exit gates were opened. What am I supposed to do? Sit there with my thumb up my ass?
There's no use discussing this with you. You have a clear bias, and are a troll. You don't want balance, you want easy games.

They are too busy with the gens to even think about it. I do my part and cleanse. Most others wont. I will get two totems a game. Sometimes three. Then get slugged with noed cos they were too busy and in a rush to get out.
As a solo you really have to be selfish. With bond i see people hiding in lockers near the exit gate as i risk my neck to open for us. Fine, if i get chased they can open the gates. But not with noed. Its a down near the gate and then game over for others as well.
I mean, strictly speaking DBD isn't a team game. Team work is required, but you don't get points if your team mates escape. So play selfish. I destroy totems every game. Every single game.

It is a counter. Slugging creates free pressure. You should be doing it regardless of DS.
But apparently slugging is toxic/BM according to x amount of survivors.
Let me make another scenario for you.
The exit gates are powered. You have 2 people hooked. Someone with borrowed time unhooks both of them and opens the exit gate. You manage to down them again before they get to the door...but they both have DS.
Where's the counter play to that?
Oh wait...there isn't one. You got outplayed by a skillcheck.
DS needs to be fixed.
-
I expected an actually funny joke.
Here's a better joke:
DS is balanced.
-
Man if you guys think NOED is unbalanced now, you can tell you're newbies, cause it was way worse back in the day. It wasn't always a hex.
Just cleanse totems, lol. It's perfectly fine. Git gud.

Imagine thinking getting exhausted by an add on means I'm bad
Imagine thinking that by using an exhaustion addon, killers are bad.

excuse me but I do believe it was on topic...the author of the thread specifically mentioned a cheating killer, so i dont think asking that question is off topic

I mean, it's a bug that has existed for over a year now.
Don't know what there is to suspect.
I know these things were happening before. There were complaints before. I just question that all of a sudden it's 10x more common.
-
It's amazing how all these things are magically happening on a much higher scale now that DC punishments are in place. I'm not saying you're lying, I'm just saying it's suspect.
-
yeah this build has been floating around for a while
nemesis was a game changer for sure

A GOOD QUESTION.
