I pretty ######### tired of large ass maps with broken tiles and an assload of pallets.

bwahahahah ######### off. Learn his mechanics and git gud.

bwhahahahahaaha. Its not like survivors are waiting 30 minutes to find a game at red ranks because there is not a shortage of killers are anything.

Not my experience at all, my killers are usually the ones who dc.
Some matches it is faster to run to other side of the map for a chest in the hopes of finding a medkit to heal you then it is to crouch spam for heals while your fellow survivor ignores you. First hook deaths and/or second stage first hook without any gen progression and not being chased by the killer is far too common. I'll try to heal some Claudette self-caring and she just ignores it and continues self healing as the killer get his BBQ stack making his way over. Today alone I was sandbagged unintentionally a good 10 or so times by players waiting at a pallet to drop it, rather than letting me get a couple more loops out of it.
But on the plus side, ive been dicking around with OoO and have had a blast memeing with some killers. A bunch of Ghostfaces t-bagging with me at other players downs/hooks and some stare offs with Myers as he builds his T3 off me both head bobbing.

“There is only one objective.”
Totems, piggy boxes, hook saves, heals and exit gates would like a word. :P
Solo queue experience: totems don't get done unless you do them, players dc when put in a reveres bear trap, you die on first hook after looping the killer for 4 gens, Claudette self-cares off the map somewhere back in the lobby, you bait the killer to the only other suvivor alive so you get hatch.

Reach rank 1.

I am Red Rank in both Killer and Survivor. I very much relate to this post.
I am a solo survivor and find it frustrating to play with some other survivors. I expect that over time, survivors will understand the importance of how to use their time. It is aggravating watching people while I am on a hook not do anything. If you learn how to utilize time, this game becomes very easy.
For killers, I expect that the will know how to shut down loops and also prioritize objectives. Killers need to know when to kick gens, when to chase, and when to hook others.
Its funny, the amount of red rank survivors willingly let me set a 3 gen strat so I can farm them for perfect game as Freddy. Ill let them pop half the maps gens while i keep them away from the smallest cluster getting a few hooks here and there, then when they get down to 2 gens left, they realized they ######### themselves and end up with 15-40 minute game depending on how long I want to extend the match, or if one or two play immersed Claudette trying to wait out hatch.
Rank, especially for survivors, is not a particularly good indicator of skill. I expect red ranks to know how to loop for brief periods before getting downed, hit good skill checks somewhat consistently, occasional great skill check, and to know what meta survivor perks are. Most do not know individual killers basic mechanics or counters, how to loop for extended periods of time, how to mind game, when its better to loop, do gens, go for an unhook, etc.. They tend to not know anything about killers build mid match, such as the perks and addons the killer are running or how to counter them.
Then you will get the red ranks that know all of that and more, who will make you sweat your ass off as a killer or run you right on over. Survivors that know what they are doing, especially when in an SWF, are definitely on a much higher skill level then your average red rank survivor. A lot of the really good survivors ive gone up against also play killer quite a bit as well and are able to predict how a certain killer is going to approach a given situation.

Killers receive more bloodpoints than survivors.

Probably inflated due to the archives have a cleanse 10 totems challenge.
Only time I am cleansing totems is for devour, anticipation of a noed, or if the killers being run over and I spot the ruin totem. Ruin is a joke now, and not really worth actually looking for the totem. If you happen by it, cleanse it, but ######### actively looking for it.
-
Another ######### idea by a survivor main.
-
Hawkins and Lerry's want a word with you. He is strong with the recent ruin nerf but does need early pressure to get his power up or hes going to have a bad time. Small maps with alot of obstacles can make him an M1 killer.

I mean yeah, Ruin and Surveilance work well together and any killer running that combo will do well honestly
lol not when its cleansed first 15 seconds like it normally is. Its a dead perk.

What region/area? I'm Midwest NA. I know someone above stated they were EU and had different experiences as well.
I guess what I'm getting at is it is not so much about the lack of killers as much as it is the match making and crap server setup. I've never had a good killer que unless there was a survivor-focused event going on. My que times are always a minimum of 10 minutes on average, upwards of 15-20 during weekdays. If and when I play survivor, it is near instant as a 2-man SWF with my wife. We wait a max of 3-5 minutes if we are not playing in primetime hours.
MI, US.

What platform are you playing on? PC is nowhere near that. PC has been long killer ques for years. Different platforms experience different issues.
PC, literally just queued and 15 seconds later got a match as rank 1.

I'm rank 2 and have no instant que. Not sure where you are at, but the Midwest region is not instant. It is definitely shorter on Friday and Saturday nights, but any other time it is 15-20.
I get almost instant que everyday at all times except early mornings at red ranks and purple ranks.

Nerf your fellow survivors they are the real killers. Sandbagging, hook farming, baiting, etc... get me killed more than the killer making plays.

Tunneling Is: Consistently chasing 1 survivor even against better options.
Tunneling Is Not: Chasing the same survivor off hook because they are the better option to chase.
Sorry no Killer in the world is going to chase the fully healed Survivor darting off into a nearby god loop, while you go hide behind a tree in the middle of no where to self care. The killer's going to get you - the better option, and you need to learn to play better.
It is so rare to see the actual definition of tunneling on this forum. 👍️

Nonsense, it is a very powerful late-game perk. It's effects are also incredibly insidious; the survivors have no way of discovering if Ruin is in play. After a lot of internal testing, BHVR decided that the perk is perfectly fine as it is- as long as you are using Surveillance (available on the Pig for only $6.99).
@Peanits is that you?
-
Only on high mobility killers. it also may be beneficial to run the Surveillance, Ruin, POP combo for when ruin inevitably gets cleansed. Ive had more success running Dying Light, POP, an information perk like dicordance/BBQ/Thrilling, and a flex perk spot like thanto for early game if you can get the survivors injured or overcharge for more regression.
Problem with ruin, is its a hex and it gets cleansed way before the late game gets started and during the early game its not noticeable or worthy of slot. It basically makes you set up for a 3 gen if it lasts and thats only if it stays up. Dying Light and POP require you to get hooks consistently and not kill your Obsession early on, but you should be focusing on getting hooks early anyway. If your Obsession does get killed or dc's early you can make another by tunneling a DS user or any of the other survivor perks that make them the obsession after activation..
To me Ruinis essentially a dead perk now. No early game use, and as far as late game its the same as i was before, non existent.
-
eh, its not game breaking at higher ranks. I hide my red stain, especially on a lunge into pallet.

Probably running into deliverance.

I not afraid, because i not "hacking", but since i dont know how bans works or how whoever review the reports works, it worries me abit...bc by now i probably got 15-20 reports...
Could i get a reensurence for this kind of topic?

Unbreakable is bae. Pulled a kobe off today when i was on hook, 2 surivovrs slugged and one already dead, killer hooks one as I kobe, I rush over unhook the other survivor with BT, I get slugged. While killer is chasing the survivor with BT, i use unbreakable, and heal the other slugged guy. That kobe to unbreakable just took 3 downed/hooked survivors and gave them all another second chance.
Use it with DS and when you get slugged after being tunneled on DS timer, pick yourself back up. Tenacity, if you have the room in your build, can make for some memes with unbreakable. It is partially why i will eat a DS stun if I have the time early in the match as killer, so i dont have to worry about slugging a DS later in the match and just go straight or the hook.

Do totems and/or dont get hit. Survivors have a plenty of skills that counters getting hit and detecting totems.

Id like to see a hag rework. I like her playstyle and addons but the most hag players seem to use her for a campy style of play and easy tunnel.
Shut your mouth, Hag is bae. BHVR plz fix Hags bugs so I can return to her.
But seriously she is actually a well balanced killer, that if anything could use a very small buff to get her more play at higher ranks. She is well thought out and strong killer with a competent player. She is more prone to survivors early game snowballs with the ruin nerf, and thats where she could use a small buff.
People fixate on Hags camping, when in reality most high level Hag players do not camp but use her traps to control the map and survivors movement. Tunneling is part of the game, there is nothing wrong with focusing a certain player and at any given point you should be focusing a certain player or objective.
-
They need to fix their game and balance it properly to even think about a dc penalty unless they want to alienate the majority of their playerbase. DC's are so frequent that its expected and to permanently ban a user is not a smart choice, especially with how often crashing while loading happens and other bugs that dc a player mid match.
They should instead incentivize players to not dc, more bloodpoints at end of match, a certain amount of shards per number of matches successfully completed, cosmetics for not having dc'd X amount of times per Rift length, etc... Players not having fun during a specific match is always bound to happen in any game, but directly removing a player from the playerbase is at net negative when they could give that player a reason to stay in a match a few more minutes to progress towards something they want.

Specifically targeting players is a bannable offense.
No, specifically targeting a single player over multiple games may be bannable given the extent. Targeting, facecampingg, slugging etc a single player over a single match is not bannable. Easiest example is if you found a TTV that you play against several matches and they are the only survivor you go after every match. Its not likely to ever come into play, as you typically dont play against the same people multiple times in a given time frame and most people change their profile tags rather frequently. You also need video evidence of these multiple matches.
-
Survivors already have third person viewpoint allowing them to see more then the killer and they have perks like spine chill that tell them when the killer is in a certain range looking at them. They have the killers heart rate/terror radius/red stain and they have chase music. They have an overabundance of visual and audible ques for when the killer is nearby, adding any more to pinpoint the killers location without having to look would be even more autopilot than survivor already is.
-
The fatigue animation over long periods of times start to give me motion sickness, something to to do with the camera bob. Same reason I wont use Monitor and Abuse, which is actually a good perk but the change of FOV over time starts giving me motion sickness.

Great, bring on your stories. I'm all ears.
Red Ranks that know what they are doing are going to wake themselves up. Add in regression addon of 14%+5% from overcharge on top of a POP of 25%. mmmmmm some satisfaction in generators regressing. Also stops the gen taping they like to do.

Overcharge on Freddy? The only thing you get consistently is survivors waking up to failed skill checks.
It may have been peak performance if you played like a good killed and still killed them all. You would have gained my respect for doing that. But considering that you got away with a 4k while facecamping, they were probably not the creme de la creme of survivors anyways. Even sadder that you had to facecamp.
Red Ranks that know what they are doing are going to wake themselves up. Add in regression addon of 14%+5% from overcharge on top of a POP of 25%. mmmmmm some satisfaction in generators regressing. Also stops the gen taping they like to do.
I also dont give a ######### about your respect. I reached peak facecamping potential today, I only wish to make big daddy Bubba proud.

@oke said:
As a rank 1 killer I have to say...
Facecamping actually getting celebrated shows how many whiny trash killers there are who don't know how to win by playing properly.
Or its peak performance.
I took a toxic situation and made the best of it. I normally go for 12 hooks for the bloodpoints. I was running BBQ, Dying light, POP, and Overcharge. A build that has to be on the move to get its full benefit and relies on getting hooks fast and consistently.
-
But you get to enjoy the moment with me now. its a win win situation.
-
@Joshawoo71 said:
You even camped and still got a 2 pip? Well... unfun tactics have thier uses after all. I dont blame you for this one
Its definitely not the norm for facecamping, and I believe i had everyone 3 hooked. At least one user had BT but i only remember one instance of hitting a player with an active BT, I kept them in dream world for most of the match when I could.
-
Huntress with iri hatchets always makes me giggle.
-
This was a game or two after the facecamping one i posted earlier.
This is normal experience for me as a killer, toxic survivors almost every game. I don't personally have an issue with them saying this #########, but its not good for the community.
-
Hell, rank as a killer does not matter I faced primarily all red ranks from rank 12 to rank 1. Played insidious bubba the other day and went from rank 2 to rank 7 and still all rank 1 or 2s at rank 7 as at rank 2.
-
No, it punishes the killer even more than a survivor dc'ing already does. Rework how dc's are handled but giving survivors an bonus to objective is not it, as it further punishes the killer.

No, no, no, they are just going to keep it as is and hide the killers profile at end game lobby.

Yeah, ive never had this many consistent connections to middle eastern countries playing anywhere form 8 am est to 3 am est. Its taking 5-10 minutes to find matches and they are always at 300+ ping and not in US.

Yeah some of them are. At least in the sense that I shouldn’t encounter the killer 5 seconds into the game after using an offering that spawns me the farthest away from the killer 😂
Thats a spawning problem, not a map size problem. The majority of balance issues right now come down to map size being too large for the majority of killers basekits.
