Yeah but, for example if its something like Pigs hidden blade, why does she remove the entire contraption to her other arm for the lobby menu.
The only Killers that doesn't do this is Hag, and Freddy, cause if they did that wouldn't make sense...
Like, I get it for a blade, or Myers knife, but Pigs hidden blade attached to her arm?
-
In all seriousness, why is this a thing? I didn't notice this until just now lmao...

That's bloody sweet! I'm totally equipping it on some of my weak killers
Exactly, if you use this on Doctor, I wonder how hard it'll be to hit those Skill checks.
If you used Pre-Patch DS back in the day, like everyday... than doing that wouldn't be an issue I suppose. But still... Its not an easy feat.

It looks promising, I’ll have to try the perk.
Indeed, and hey, if it doesn't bare the most amazing results, it was worth a try... FOR SCIENCE!

And that's why you use Dream Snares... Despite Dream pallets being cooler...

oh... my gosh. for someone whos still a low-mid rank survivor, that looks like torture to even attempt.
For context, that's about the same size as pre-patch DS, or one overcharge on a generator.
Not a consistent skill check to hit, but it is indeed a hard one to hit.
-
Its that big when Unnerving Presence is active.
-
@Sackboy123 said:
It's not that small, if you can hit Old Decisive with Unnerving then you can hit anything
Its been months though, people are not used to it anymore, the only closest thing to it is like... Overcharge or something.

how small does the skill check get though? im curious to see that

I definitely gotta get this perk, I hate DS! :D
Basic yet effective, its one of the few things that actually effects DS. I wish this was the same for pre-patch DS though...
-
If you're centering a build around skill check disruption than yes, the perk is actually pretty useful.
And yeah, the perk effects all skillchecks, Billy boxes, generators, healing, DS, etc... Anything with a skillcheck inside the terror radius of the Killer with Unnerving Presence will shorten the Skillcheck.
If you add say, Huntresses lullaby and other add-ons of killers that mess with skillchecks, than yeah... its scary.

By this I mean, if I have a few just sitting there unclaimed. Will they disappear?
I had 2 that were completed. But I didn't need the blood points. So I left them there.
I log in and they are gone.
Common bug, it gets rid of them occasionally to make room for new uncompleted ones. It also could of just been a mistake on your part when in the menu by "collecting all"
When they disappear though it sometimes gives you the BPs anyways (unless you have the BP cap of 1mil)

Disgusting

Its the hit boxes that're the problem mostly, not just the connection and or lag.
Lag effects everything, but in a regular Trial, the hit box of the hatchet has always been janky since its inception.
So we can't really blame connection alone on this one...
-
@lethal_kirby An official statement for this has yet to be made, so the answer to this question is currently unknown.
Anything in the future is possible as we have DBD on PC, Xbox, PS4, Switch, and even Mobile. But from my own person opinion, we probably won't face people from Mobile as that would be incredible unfair for them...
And its debatable if facing players on console is fair when facing PC players using keyboards and mouses. This is due to them having more control as a Killer, and as a Survivor also.
One thing a controller can do better than a mouse a keyboard though, is the fact they can 360 a lot better on console with a joystick.
-
The hit-box for Head on is strange in-general.
A small tip, think of it as a straight hitbox, if the Killer walks past the Locker when in said hitbox, and you jump out at the same time, you can actually stun them even when they're not in-front of the Locker.
This is due to the hitbox lingering with the Killer because the Survivor initiated the perk when they were in the range of said hitbox. So don't think you just have to have them stand in-infront of it for it to work, it works when they walk past it as well.
The range of how far Head on can hit a Killer is about say... one Survivor facing horizontally from the Lockers position. In a more basic term, that's as far as 3 Survivors standing in a line in-front of the Locker.

You used to be compensated for this if the Killer DC'ed, where you keep any items you brought or got in the Trial, and any BPs earned were kept as well.
Now you just get the BPs, but the item is removed from your inventory.

I'm not certain what you mean about adding text into the image, but if you want some tips with presentation I'm happy to help :)
The imagery was actually really simple to make, I just used a watercolour brush in my paint program of choice. If you're looking for something better than MS paint, there are a few alternatives out there. I've heard that Krita is quite good.
What I meant is, you meshed the text into the image without taking away the point of the presentation. That's something I would of possible thought of if I had a better program to edit images in. But overall, the concept of what you did saved space and was more "noob friendly" overall. Mine was a more, hot take, on the concept of a guide.
Instead, I put lengthy text outside with images to follow up each section. In the long run, the post became too lengthy and before I could shorten or edit it heavily it was already September 9th.
I started my post on September 7th, so I only had 3 days or so before they closed the page entirely. I'm not sure if I can link my post here, but you can find it as my earliest discussion and see what I mean.
If you'd like, you can direct me to some programs I could use in the future, or direct me to the one you specifically use. I don't know how you'll do that without breaking the rules of the forums on outside links... So... idk.
But it would be appreciated for anything in the future like contests or in-general just regular posts.
-
That's because further information regarding both these skins hasn't been released yet by the official dev team.
So we won't know for some time, until an official statement is made on them again. For all we know, the ideas could of been shelved. (unlikely though because of the work already put into it. I say that because other issues and DLC, Like the demogorgon DLC, are taking priority over both those skins at the moment.)
-
A legacy skin is a limited time skin for the original 3 Killers (And Nurse because she was released close to the end of 2016) that was given as a reward for prestiging Killers before the 2016 deadline for the new Blood-Web.
This is just a cosmetic you can buy on the in-game store, and no, barely anyone uses it because of GhostFaces whole point of stealth, seeing reflective chrome across the map isn't really stealthy...
-
Oh... no...
Oooooh..... Noooo.....
-
Because some loops were at some points in the games life-span, infinites that could last for a very long time.
They added Mid-Vaults to minimize the time between chases, and overall made chases more balanced and realistic in-game. They also removed the ability to fast vault when there is virtually zero room to do so.
When this was a problem back then, chases would last longer than they should have around some window loops...
-
Survivor
Poised and Dance with me wouldn't work together. Yes, Poised leaves no scratch marks when a generator is finished, and Dance with me also leaves no scratch marks for 3 seconds, but they don't stack on-top of each other.
Poised would out run Dance with me when it comes to how long one lasts over the other. If you were to use them on separate occasions than yes it would work. Like for example, you can finish a gen and run off, than before 6 seconds comes up, you can vault a window and continue it for 3 more seconds. Basically if you use them one after another it'll work, if you do it at the same time to activate both Poised and Dance with me, Poised will outlast Dance with me.
And yes, Quick and Quiet works with Dance with me, its good for a Lithe build also with Dance with me.
Killer
Here's a better idea for a time waster build, or in your case "stall build"
Use Surveillance, Pop Goes the Weasel, BBQ or Overcharge, and Ruin.
This will allow you to kick generators after an unhook to regress them heavily, overcharge keeps the Survivor from easily continuing repairs, Surveillance lets you know if an overcharge has failed and overall keeps track of generators that are regressing or being repaired again, and Ruin because its ruin...
Surveillance lets you know if a generator is regressing after being kicked when it is highlighted white, if it is highlighted yellow, that means the generator is being repaired again.
A tip, don't use your RBTs when on Pig until the Ruin is broken. Once Ruin is broken, wait about 25 seconds or so (unless you're in a chase, than just use it when they're downed.) and once that time is up you should start popping RBTs on people, even if no gens were completed yet.
25 seconds is enough time to have someone get a RBT on, and if by the off chance a gen is done after its put on, than the trap activates. Also, when using BPS or Pudding, use Box of Crates + Tampered Timer to increase the chance of getting a RBT kill, but it also increases panic and overall scares Survivors into getting the RBT, rather than doing gens.
RBTs overall have hidden potential to stall the game just by themselves, that, and added with a build centered around stalling, can lead to a devastating loss for the team.

-
Congrats to everyone who won, this has inspired me to create specific Killer guides in the future.
I'll take a note from the 1st place winner and follow through with the after thought of adding the text into the image, this will limit the amount of text and overall be a better presentation.
I didn't do that because the closest thing I have to photoshop is MS Paint currently lmao...

Yeah, we messed up, which is okay, but we repeated history with the healing nerf.
All I'm saying is we should understand how hard it is to balance the game, and give the balance team some slack. :)
Yeah, asking the community to give the dev team some slack is like asking a millionaire for their life savings, its not gonna happen.
One can hope though, I'm just speaking from past and recent experience of how the community here operates. If nobody is to blame, than who do you blame? Thats the mentality a lot of people have here.
The balance team truly has quite the patience to put up with it though.

I know that, but I'm not talking about that, I'm talking about at the beginning we didn't give him enough time to see how he was. People assumed at the very beginning and it didn't help the balance team at all, that's what I'm talking about. The same thing happened with the healing nerf because everyone assumed longer healing means slower generators.
The beginning of anything is rough at first... Especially on Dead by Daylight.
-
The golden Feng min outfit was a limited time skin that came in a steam code.
You can't get it on mobile or console, and the only way to get one now is to buy the code from a seller for hundreds of dollars. Even then, its for PC only.

This happens often in my matches also, I usually just see the injured Survivor and if on the rare ocassion I don't find the unhooker, I leave and patrol the other generators.
I refuse to tunnel, even when its spoon fed to me. Sometimes I will however hit the injured Survivor but dont pick them up, and just find the unhooker. This keeps the unhooked Survivor from just doing gens and or healing and than doing gens. My act of kindness isn't to be taken as weakness.
Its insurance if you will to slug them, but I refuse to actively tunnel any Survivor to death as I can see why it is annoying to have it happen to you, especially if I was the Survivor for example.
I don't camp either, if you need to camp and or tunnel a Survivor to get a sacrifice, than it just shows the lack of skill you possess in-general. Its kind of an unspoken rule of mine to not tunnel or camp.
-
The balloon animals should co-exist with the overall theme of his power.
Perhaps instead, the balloons release a gas on the Suvivors in radius of the generator, giving them the hindred status effect for 30 seconds?

Insidious would be the forth perk.
Thats for camping, this isn't a camping build.
The fourth perk can either be Nurses, Brutal Strength, Pop goes the weasel, etc. Insidious is for if you're going to camp the basement.

I can agree some Killers need extra time to setup because of their abilities.
20/50 (40%) games I played and recorded at R1 were either Spirit, Billy or Nurse.
Of those 20 games, 15 games the Killer was using Ruin. 75% of the time with what most would agree are the strongest Killers with the best ability to apply pressure out of the gate.
It feels after 9 months the skill ceiling in DBD has fallen, or people have become so complacent they won’t play without these perks on ANY killer.
I think its more so because of the decline in Players that actually displayed skill is why you see these numbers.
Also, most Killers that're new will use the best Killers and the best perks to maximize their potential to win due to them either being toxic, new, bored, or can't win without it. It's their Trial so thats why they usual do this.
And by new, I mean like the new gen of Killers that're in Purple, Red, or Green.

He is talking about base bubba whose anti loop isn’t very good, with add ons it can work pretty well at certain loops. I mostly play base bubba and he can’t counter loops easily without add ons, of course, it is my choice to play without them though.
Oh I know he is, i'm just saying if you add those things it can limit the headaches.
As for base Bubba... we don't talk about those dark times... (Seriously though, base Bubba is the worst base Killer... If someone can 4k in Red Ranks with a competent SWFs with base Bubba, to you sir I salute!)
-
It would be cool if the Survivor had like a 80% chance to fight against the mori, and each time they try to get mori'ed it would decrease the chances from 80% to 60% to 40% etc. Something like that.
It would make facing moris for other people somewhat more bearable.

I’m currently working on getting all the perks on him, I pick up on most killers fairly fast, guess I’m lucky.
Same, I used to be garbage at Nurse and couldn't down anyone. I played her a bit when returning to DBD and now I can actually down people and somewhat get decent results.
I was even able to face Red Ranks and learn from mistakes I was doing and actually 3k on them. Practice makes perfect, and if I can go from 0k with Nurse to averaging 3ks... than with some time I could find a way to make LeatherFace viable consistently, and even have info to give to others.
But like I said, I don't have time to do that. (Not right now anyways.)
-
@Yamaoka said:
1) no map pressure due to "normal mobility".
2) no gen stall potential.
3) no actual anti-loop.
4) less forgiving than Hillbilly when it comes to making mistakes in chases.
5) huge punishment for bumping into stuff unlike Hillbilly.
6) requires a "calm" player with map awareness for efficient chainsaw plays. Average players will m1 survivors when things get hectic especially if windows, pallets or weirdly shaped objects and narrow places (i.e. lery's bedrooms) are involved.
A "calm" Bubba main with lots of map knowledge and "chainsaw experience" however will always calculate the "chainsaw potential" during a chase as in (chainsaw distance/charge time/acceleration).
Long story short: Bubba only has lethality going for him which isn't even used to its full potential in case of the "average" player making him a killer with no power in many cases.
If you use Beast marks + Tuning guide you won't have an issue chainsawing someone who's trying to loop you.
Scratch marks + primer bulb is also useful if you're just playing casually. The more advanced add-on combo is more for if you're popping a BPS or pudding, and if you add the perks Spirit Fury + Enduring you'll have and even easier time chainsawing someone.
This eliminates the issue where you have to be right next to them, as the distance you can travel is greatly increased! Now if only Award winning chili and Chili actually did something...

I gotta tell you, you’re wrong here, his speed add ons give him an anti-loop power, you don’t always have to be right behind them to saw them and he only relies on survivor mistakes if the bubba doesn’t know what he is doing.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/682711#Comment_682711
His map pressure is the same as a lot of killers.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/682707#Comment_682707
I will say that I’ve always wondered why billy has no cooldown for putting a saw away but yet LF does.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/682697#Comment_682697
Fun is subjective though and I find LF fun. I actually use a variety of builds and rarely use the perks you mentioned, you can still get multiple survivors but you gotta time it right and if they have bt then you should hope you get there sooner.
A lot of killers have the same map pressure as LF but opinions are opinions I guess.
Stats show that clown is the worst killer, and imo LF is actually really good.
It really is subjective when it comes to fun, for me, I don't find it fun to use a borderline worthless power when at Red Ranks.
But maybe that's because I don't use it like you do, Idk. I don't main the guy, so I can't really say if he is better than the worst Killer. But from what I've gathered, and from what I endured when P3-50ing him, its safe so say that it has some truth behind it...
That doesn't mean he can't be good in someone elses hands, or in the future my own if I put enough time into it. But like many things, some things I and many others don't have time to do like we used to i'm afraid...
