Well tbf stretched didn't allow you to see more than you already could. It just made it easier which I think is what people who were educated had the problem with.
I'm excited for the slider. I may not have motion sickness whatsoever but I loooove feeling fast. :>

Looping is the only consistent mechanic I find fun in dbd anymore on either side after this long. Don't know if that's good or not.

If I buy the Attack on Titan DLCs on Steam (I currently own no AoT skins), will I get (all of) the AoT charms? 1 review on Steam currently states that the person didn't get the charms. I would love an official confirmation on this. <3
I got a random charm for buying Meg's so I dunno if it's regardless or excluding dlc bundles.

So old DH was very strong (overpowert) against every Killer. The strong Killers like Nurse, Blight and Spirit needed some extra seconds to get the down and dead harding against them I would say was fine. The weaker Killers got absolutly gestroyed by DH and I would say dead harding against them was rlly mean, but what does MFT now?
MFT hurts especially weaker killers. If you think about it its clear. The strong killers are mostly strong beause they have movment. A Nurse dosent care about MFT, a Blight with speed addons doesnt care about MFT, Spirit ...etc
but for a weaker Killer MFT can rlly hurt for example:
- M1 Killer only without a good chase power to counter: Pig, Trapper, Myers, Ghost Face, Legion, Onrio, Knight, SM, Buba (if the survivor doesnt heal)
- The killer uses his power to gain a little distance so he can strike before he reaches the pallet or window, which is no longer possible with MFT: Freddy, Doctor, Billy and Pig again
- Killers that are so slow, that MFT makes a Rock to an infinite: Deathslinger, Huntress, Trickstar
So MFT shouldnt exists, because it punishes players for playing weaker killers.
PS I know Huntress and Deathslinger arent weak, but they are basically uplayable against MFT and its a nightmare to play aginst it.
You lost me at the title. It may be really powerful to have the 3% (despite me not having any issues playing against someone who has it as a LEGION MAIN) but comparing it to old dead hard years ago is mental. If Made For This is going to need the speed removed, it should be focused on protecting teammates and be active even when healthy. Powerful enough to counter instadown killers but not broken with the movement speed.

But if you walk all the way over to the camera to reactivate it, you may as well just walk all the way over to the survivor and hit them instead.
That's why you do it mid chase instead of walking all the way over there like a goober. :I It's mainly a good idea to replace them if they happen to disable them while in chase. You'll lose no distance if you're good at replacing them by aiming well.
-
I've been doing good with him because of my good placement and the fact (a LOT of people forget this exists) I can shoot the disabled cameras and just... replace them like nothing happened.
-
Oh, you can also just hold LB and it'll let you do it without moving. I get how that can be annoying though since even on keyboard, both the bind for recover and escaping through hatch is the same lmao
-
There's always commissioning a perk artist (or making it yourself) and modding the icon in.
-
It's technically not an endgame mori unless all 5 gens are done. I feel like the easiest solution that I can come up with is to have it only come into play with the added prerequisite of either the 5 gens being done or hatch being closed and THEN downing the last survivor.
-
Easy answer.
Nicolas Cage.
-
The EMP's never bothered me since I could legit just replace them by two tapping the spot they're on. This is basically making me be even more powerful with him lmao

Main issue is that it's kinda an equivalent of soloQ stomping perk (old Eruption), but against killers.
You think Nurse or Blight are going to care about 3% faster? Hell no.
This perk will just help you bully weak killers even more. 3% against m1 killer without antiloop power is pretty big deal.
I know for sure, I am not going to touch Legion for some time if this perk gets live.
You won't touch Legion if this goes live? That sounds like weak quitter talk. Legion can be GOATED. Don't be weak!

1) The new map is going to be miserable to play on and they will never fix it.
2) The new Killer is going to be the third 3 gen Killer in a row and they will never overhaul it.
3) The anti-facecamping mechanic will be very rough and will take some time until it doesn't punish playing normally.
I'm expecting a big L, but BHVR has an impeccable track record of underwhelming performance, so it might be even worse! I've got the popcorn ready in any event.
Genuinely was hoping to find more than one positive comment but there's one thing I agree on and that's their aforementioned track record. Just a feeeew more minutes. :>

They use (unless it's changed) a company called La Fabrique De Monstres since the first Resident Evil chapter as far as I know https://www.lafabriquedemonstres.com/en/ - excluding people like Nic Cage/Bruce Campbell who represented themselves.
You'd have to be part of their roster first so their job page would be your first port of call.
Damn, so no chance for Gianni Matragrano to be a voice in this game? Damn...
-
Like everyone's saying, we need to wait until we can play them. I do hope that you can also just fire them on your own and be able to use them as a way to infect them from afar and teleport like a huntress and hag situation. That would be so sick.
-
Don't actually give us old dh but make the distance part a separate perk.

@Agent_Himbo said:
Stop telling tunneled and facecamped players to just be happy they bought 3 random strangers time. They won the game at your expense, you get no reward, you're not given some medal for looping the killer for 5 gens but dying to NOED, BHVR doesn't send you a pony because you sat there being held hostage while a face camping Bubba stared into your soul.
I'm sorry you're so bad at the game the only way you have of winning is to take advantage a teammate is being tunneled and that's why you got a free escape, it's beyond disgusting to tell the player that got a loss, barely any bloodpoints and had a bad time to just be happy that You escaped.
If you think people play videogames to see random strangers win and get a defeat screen, then why don't you play killer and let all 4 survivors escape all the time? Oh right, literally nobody tells killers to enjoy losing because 4 random strangers won, nobody tells the crying baby killer to take pleasure on the wins of random strangers.
I don't play videogames so other people win while I lose, i don't live vicariously through other people's victories, i feel bad for people who do.
What I'm getting from this is that you don't see your fellow survivors as teammates. I'm not going to tell you to be happy they escaped but to try and see them as for what they are: Other people who are going against the killer just like you. Unless they intentionally grief in which case screw them.
-
I still miss the distance part of dead hard. You can take away that extra health state, just lemme rush forward to whatever or dodge a swing/shot.
-
I had an idea that would work with the namesake regarding getting more tokens for each time someone else gets in chase that gives you a benefit for evading the killer. No idea what exactly would work for it but I thought it would be nice. :>

Right now, nothing is set in stone - this is all going to a PTB to be tested prior to being finalised. So yes, changes can still be made.
So this potentially means we could still have the lightburn mechanic? It may be a product of its time but you'd be a liar for saying it wasn't fun to play around and play on.

I definitely wouldn’t mind adding in the older legion with being able to down survivors by decreasing the timer of mending but with a negative effect of each time he vaults a pallets or over a number of times he loses his feral frenzy. This way even if the survivor drops a pallet they have the surviving chance of getting away. This can also make franks mixtape to break pallets once vaulted a more powerful add on
I would not like to get stunned every time I vault something, thank you.
-
Though I was more thinking it being -7 but mend time doesn't get reset in exchange. Both sides can have a bit of fun. You can mend in front of their face if you're certain you can get it off and we can punish that if you do it too early! :>
-
@[Deleted User] said:
At a low amount, let's say -5 seconds per hit, sure.
That's good enough for me. I just want an excuse to constantly run. That or have them remove the split second you lose collision when exiting frenzy. That has screwed me out of SO many downs.

Not every bad idea needs a glorified response. Some bad ideas can simply be dismissed with a "no". Turning Insidious into a undetectable perk that lets you run around at 4.0m/s is a bad idea, and that's that.
Well I feel this one is necessary. Please enlighten me on why it would be a bad idea. Perhaps a weapon sheath and unsheath to switch between it but give the survivor ample time to run if they notice?
-
@bunnyfengenthusiast said:
No
Provide something of value and then we'll respect the "No".
-
@Emeal said:
I would rather bHVR change Insidious to have + 2 seconds of Undetectable time, like Lethal Pursuer. or something.
What you suggest would be better as basekit for Killers.
Both are honestly good options AND it would stop the whole easy stealth aspect of camping in basement. Have like 30 seconds of stealth at the start of the game until the first hit and the 2 seconds extra would be nice. Probably boost that up to 5.

Generally I don't go for the tit for tat thing, but if you're gonna unnerf one of the old meta perks I feel it's fair that killers get one back at well. I don't particularly care which one as I never really used them, but giving back one of the strongest survivor perks and the other side nothing rubs me the wrong way.
Specifically ruin! Mainly the regression speed aspect as the other would help incentivize NOT tunneling.
-
I want an offense perk that basically rewards you for doing a gen. You basically can craft a one time use blunt weapon like a bat to use as a portable pallet after doing %75 of a generator. High requirement but the utility is what makes it fun to use.
-
@Sonzaishinai said:
Boring i'd say, every match would be about the same then.
I still stand with my notion that people overvalue balance way to much. Variety is what makes a game replayable.
Imo a perfectly balanced DbD is a DbD that won't survive long
Instead, we should have features which complement the unbalanced nature of this game. DC bots, backlog queues you can toggle for if you wanna get into a game always or take over for someone if they exceed the dc time that they can return to their game. Stuff solely based on fun like... a single use melee weapon to stun the killer like a portable pallet.

it is just sad that it takes so much skill to play billy now compared to just dashing with oni and getting the same result
Oh, I still play him more than Oni. The issue is the overheat mechanic. It can stop me from adjusting my position for curving if I happen to rev too much.
-
Only thing I can really say is that the trashtalking at the end is sadly not exclusive to when you first start out. Just earlier today, I got left to die and then insulted by my own teammate who chose to leave me on hook. All because I saw that their name had whopper in it and I made a Burger King joke out of it by reciting the singing ad. Hopefully this funny anecdote can ease the pain a little. I know it did for me, at least.

true to the bill lore...surprised you didnt list billy for speed as he was the original high mobility killer along with wraith
Yes, the original. Doesn't mean it's the most high octane killer to play, though. I do play him on occasion, though.

@Zaydin said:
Yeah, I know this is going to get me called 'trash' or what not by survivor mains based on the title alone before anyone bothers reading this, but the Incapacitation was what made Eruption strong. The regression was just 10% which is roughly 9 seconds at most shaved off the repair progress. The aura reading that replaced the Incapacitation? Useless to most killers.
So bring back the Incapacitation but set the duration to something like 15 seconds at max rank instead of the joke that is the aura reading or the original oppressive 25 second Incapacitation. In fact, time and time again before it got nerfed one of the most suggested ideas I saw for nerfing it was reducing the Incapacitation duration to 10-15 seconds at max rank.
If you've just downed someone, the aura reading from an Erupted generator now is useless because you are going to be carrying the survivor you just downed to a hook and not going to the generator that just blew up.
Failing that, cause an Erupted generator to explode, start regressing and block it off by the Entity for like 20 seconds and if the Killer injures or downs a survivor again before that 20 seconds is up, the blocking ends early.
What about just... blocking the gen for the time that old eruption did? People can do other stuff but you still get something out of it. Maybe even give it a unique property where the gen regresses still but at a slightly slower rate. Say... %75.
-
I'm a speed freak so I fell in love with Legion, Blight and now Wesker.
I used to be a Claudette main, then Meg because of the mask and well... I like stabby gang. Now I main Bill because I wanna be the glue that keeps the team together by taking hits and letting myself go if it means the rest get out.

I'd like playing against her if getting rid of her claw trap didn't crash my game.

The Twins were stated as being the next major Killer update. We got The Nurse first, though - most likely due to the controversy surrounding her. I would expect an update to The Twins sometime soon. Also, I feel as though an add-on pass for The Blight is coming. There's very little chance his add-ons are going to stay as they are for much longer.
If the Twins update was referred to as major and we got a good update for Nurse, I'm REALLY hyped to see what they do if they didn't call the Nurse changes major.

Well if we’re going by the idea that guards should be more independent from the knight I propose that they get more freedom. When on a patrol within 12m of a gen without a survivor in LOS they will go and kick the gen themselves
As well as that the knight now gets to cycle his guards manually by pressing the secondary action button like clown. This would give him more freedom to use whatever guard is necessary
And lastly (though this might be too much) the knight can press the secondary action button while looking at a gen or pallet to automatically summon a guard to destroy it without planting his sword. Animation would be a similar length to a blight/demo pallet break but he is allowed to move at a slow speed during the animation
Just like that, you have gained my respect once more. Finally... I'm able to spam the cooler Legion. Also that means some addon reworks as well! Specifically the ones that make a certain guard appear twice in a row as that is now obsolete. :>
-
@Phasmamain said:
Can’t see this being a particularly fun killer to play. Basically you rely on AI for your whole power while you chase a survivor without a power
Knight isn’t in a good spot now but this isn’t how you fix him
Then add something to it, I said add feedback, not you saying the same thing.Let me rephrase. While I do agree that it isn't the best solution, it is the very reason as to why I added at the end that feedback would be nice. Either give some feedback or please, take your words somewhere else because they're gonna fall on deaf ears if you're not going to give an idea as to how that could be improved.
-
I just want fun offense perks to spice things up. It's why I love it when people use head on.
-
@Carth said:
Dear Lord I can already see the head on into 3* dead hard stun montages.
All seriousness I feel like it would make DH even stronger, unless it only worked within x meters of another survivor. In the current world of chasing a survivor and they dead hard to a pallet or the like they'll now just spin and 180 dead hard stun me point blank for 3 seconds and walk off?
The timing would be extremely odd and look kinda janky when you factor in latency as well, did my lunge hit you first or did your dead hard dash hit me first?
We already have to deal with latency of current dead hard. They also walk off with less health than they had or none at all. It's meant to be used to help your teammates. Not yourself.
@HugTechLover said:
Lmao so an on command stun?😂 nahhh chief. This ain’t it. This would get abused so quick.
At the cost of YOUR health and exhaustion. Would adding hemorrhage make it fair? Besides, it already gets abused right now as a chase extension among other things and people still winge about it. You won't have to worry about it being used for a sole chase anymore.
