All those 1 shot killers require their power for the one shot + land the hit. That takes time.
Noed is just a normal attack making it much easier to finish the game off quickly... which is kind of the point of the perk no?
It doesn't matter what killer uses it. Noed is a great perk for end game. Doesn't make anyone 'a bad player for using it'.
-
Camping and Tunneling are strategies... bad strats... but killers are allowed to do it.
Plus there are a ton of perks to help against them. If a team is getting wiped by a camping or tunneling killer then its a l2p situation.
-
I like the idea of a Siren killer. Also her perks sound fun, I especially like the hex!
If you would like help with her concept art let me know. I love drawing!
-
Trapper Iridescent stone.
You don't have to waste time constantly setting up which is the downfall of trapper at higher ranks.
-
I had this last match as well (ps5) except at the very bottom of the stairs.
The survivor had their head in the wall and i couldn't pick up :(
-
Yah I dont use twitter either so I was late to hear about it :( Wish they kept it on the forums. I enjoy seeing all the submissions!

If a 'fix' was to be made to swf I would say only focus on the full 4 man team. 3 and 2 there is no point and they are not an issue.
I always thought it would be nice if 4 man swf was its own game mode and the killer playing that mode would get an extra something something.
"But no killer would play that mode."
What if:
- Killer gets Extra blood points just for playing the mode.
- 1 extra gen needs to be completed or the time to complete a gen is increased.
- Killer has a 5th perk slot.
Those are just suggestions but you get my point.
Ultimately swf isn't really a big deal. What the real issue is the rank disparity between swf and the killer. I'm a green rank killer at best and I just play for fun, yet Im going against red ranks and their 1 brown rank smurf friend. Those games are painful since of course they are better then me -eye roll- They are skilled players and that are communicating and synergizing their perks and add-ons. The crap part is they are getting lower rank killers like me just to bully instead of going against their red killer counterparts.
(We need a better rank system).
-
He is so strong having to walk the entire map and collect his traps... then set them up, then has to go collect survivor when trap is sprung...
Def needs a nerf! His power is overwhelming and survivors can do nothing about it D: /s

Sometimes as soon as a match starts I will start hunting survivors... as a survivor... and then I see the killer and go 'oh ya... not the killer'.
-
Billy or Demo :)

I understand how you feel. In fact, I got so flustered constantly playing against red ranks I stopped playing killer for about 3 months. It is difficult to learn when one moment you are against potatoes and the next you are up against survivor gods ^^" There is no middle ground with this game.
I'm back playing killer and currently rank 10. I am unsure if its swf groups or not, but I get red ranks 90% of the time. Yes some games are frustrating still but I am learning to just breath and let it go when I find myself in an abusive match. It's not the survivors fault they are being paired with a novice level killer.
Like DelsaKibara said above, a solution is coming! Until then just keep doing your best and don't let the match making get you down.
Imo killer is the more fun role, even though it can frustrating and abusive at times. Gotta love those salty messages eh? ^^
-
Survivor: Bond. It is the best information perk in the game and yet hardly anyone uses it. My second choice would be plunderer's.
Killer: All Ears and Dark Devotion. Survivors don't see these ones coming and can really mess up their plays, making for easy downs :)
-
I get the same as killer. I stopped playing killer for awhile because of it. I am all for 'getting good' but when you go from potato survivors to god survivors it makes learning to play at high ranks much more difficult.
I love playing both roles tho so I am back at killer again. I have found not engaging in long chases helps. Red ranks know how to loop. It is easier to drop them and hopefully find someone else who isn't in such a strong area/position.
I think as killer you just have to keep at it, and when you know you are in a hopeless game just look at it as practice :) I will say F it and just chase the survivors around watching what they do and try to predict their movements.
Also having no add-ons and less then ideal perks doesn't help. What I did was play survivor for the bp, then use that to level my killers :) playing killers while also leveling them is very painful... I did that with Hag. Never again! I either go in fully equiped or not at all ^^"
-
I have always loved this idea, but the balancing would be a nightmare and a couple survivors would be 'must picks'.
More so it would put targets on people's backs. Meg has an amazing passive ability? You bet she would be tunneled/camped to get her out of the match faster.
The reason killers have a special ability is because they are alone vs 4 other people. They need something to give them an edge. Survivors technically have a 5th power, teamwork. Plus with swf its taken to the next level and they have coordination, communication, and perk synergy. If survivors were to have an extra unique ability then there would have to be a huge buff to all killers... which then loops back to it being a balancing nightmare XD
-
In that situation the best you can do is progress the gate the first 15%. Just before the first light turns on. Then hide and wait for the killer to come by and check. As soon as they turn around start opening the gate again. Unless its a killer with high mobility this works more often then not for me :)
As for removing the lights, no. At that point the last survivor doesn't need any more aid in hopes of an escape. The killer did their job.
If you are finding yourself a lot in this situation try Wake Up. Its and underrated perk imo. Its beneficial when your team is alive and if you are the last one standing.
-
If a killer wants to face camp then it should be their downfall. Its a VERY bad play and not a way to pip.
If you play into their obvious tactic that is you and your teams fault. Not the killers.
It is the same as when a killer doesn't know when to break a chase with a survivor. They chase a single person for two gens and then complain 'gen rushing'. That isn't the survivors fault. The killer made a bad choice and fell for the survivors obvious ploy.
If you are new I suggest Kindred! This will let you know when you should go save or keep doing gens.
-
Old BL was the only exhaustion perk (maybe only perk in general) to have 3 very useful abilities, only 1 of which was exhausted upon use. Not only did it make it a must pick, but on some maps it was a nightmare for killers. Yes it was more fun before but all stupidly strong perks are. MoM was a blast! Doesn't mean it was balanced.
All the devs did was align BL with every other exhaustion perk. When you use it, everything is on cd. That doesn't mean its a bad perk now. I still think it is one of the best exhaustion perks in the game.
-
Boil over really shines in indoor maps. That is when I loose a survivor to it. Open field maps not so much.
Maybe increasing the amount of wobble would be good. Not the increase wiggle speed. I think that would make it too strong. Plus would make the perks you mentioned obsolete.
-
I love SC as well and I think it is fine the way it is.
It only gives players so much time to react. People who run will leave scratch marks. People who crouch and hide can easily be found in the area. Plus if you are a crouch and hide person you need Urban or QQ to make SC worth it.
When I play killer I can tell if someone has it and I just approach gens while looking away. It messes people up big time ^^
With so many stealth killers I feel SC has more of a reason to be used, which is good. Doesn't mean it needs a nerf.
-
I ran Better Together for awhile and found that is caused people to lead the killer to me more often then not.
It was starting to get very annoying and I switched backed to Bond. Haven't gone back to it since.
You are right that it is an amazing perk with great communication as a solo, but it also gives teammates the ability to abuse that information... which is what I experienced.
-
All it needs is a face lift. If it recieved the treatment Lery's did it would be the spookiest map in the game!
-
All the time.
When the match gets intense I start clenching my whole body and leaning forward.
-
I think that is a neat idea.
Maybe it could work like Iron Maiden. As soon as survivor is done searching a chest the killer gets a notification and they become exposed for 20-30 seconds.
-
This started off rocky BUT still a fun thread idea. My confessions are vanilla but here we go!
Confession 1: If I am play Pig and you boop my snoot you have immunity.
Confession 2: If the game was fun and clean I will let my fav killers kill me. I got my pip, do whatever you want to me!
Confession 3: I don't run meta perks, second chance perks, or exhaustion perks. I am information kind of person and feel more confident when I have eyes on everything.
-
There are a lot of good kindhearted people playing this game as well. The salty ones are just the loudest.
@Johnny_XMan is also right. People let the silliest thing get under their skin. People are going to play how they want. Thinking it is toxic and bullying just gets yourself worked up and in a negative mindset.

I agree with everything you said expect this one thing. That's what ranking is for right? I've gone up against some very very amazing killers an they are A. Perkless B. Not camping/tunneling. No toxic behavior at all. So if a perkless monster has that much of an advantage using one of the worst killers in the game why not 5 perks for a survivor.
I have seen a handful of very skilled killer as well and yes they can tare up my skilled swf group, however I can count those moments on one hand. The average killer gets outplayed against a good group of survivors who know what they are doing. If they are n coms then even more so.
You are right that ranking helps with this. Equally skilled survivors go up against an equally skilled killer. However matchmaking is nuts right now. I'm rank 11 killer and I keep getting matched against red rank survivors. From what I read on the forms I am not the only one experience this rank discrepancy.
On flip side, my friends and I run into killers much lower rank then us more often then not. We def don't need an extra advantage.
I read a form yesterday that was suggesting a 5th perk slot but only for certain perks. Lightweight, Urban, Brutal Strength, Agitation, etc. Perks that are more qol perks and not so much game changing perks.
I thought that would be a fun idea and make for more creative playstyles. It would be a fun thing to test out and see how much it changes the game.
Just for fun, what unique powers would you give your fav survivors?
-
The reason survivors do not have a unique ability is because:
A. One survivor would be considered the meta and no other survivor would be played. This is one reason why their personal perks are teachable to other survivors.
B. 4 survivors already = 16 perks between them. Then add 4 powers to that... oh and it would by 4x same power because meta will always rise.
C. 4 survivors who know how to play this game (map knowledge, perk synergy, unhook timing, etc.) already outplay any decent killer. Teamwork is their power and you just need to learn to use it.
-
Killer role needs a buff in some way.
As many people have said, fixing maps would go a long way. Also alot of the killers need to be individual buffed/overhauled.
(Please buff Pig ♡)
-
I know a lot of people may disagree with this one, but Urban Evasion.
As a survivor I feel like its more of a qol thing and its silly a perk slot needs to be used so I can duck for cover in a decent amount of time.
As a killer I have never had issues with survivors using it but I know some do.
I also agree with @doublev1986. Those two perks encourage healthy gameplay. Maybe even multipliers could be added to them. So if a killer hooks each survivor once before they hook a survivor a second time they get maxed bp ^^
-
I think it would be fun to test out and I love the idea of a 'passive' perk slot for all.
There are so many perks that are good, but they are not always the optimal choice. Lightweight, Brutal Strength, Lightborn, Urban, etc.
They are more like qol perks and not game changing perks. They could even be given a different colour/category. I guess the issue would be then what perks qualify lol.
I also think it would be nice if only killers were given a 5th spot. Survivors have 12 slots between them and can get amazing synergy. Killer just his/her self to rely on and having a 5th slot could open up so much for that role.
As others said above tho I am not sure if the current state of them game could handle such change.

I want him to be able to hook a survivor and spin them around like a helicopter rotor.
YeeHA!
-
I always have Spine Chill for the same reason. I do not like being caught out by those sneaky stealthy killers :P
It really only gives you so much time to react and hide. If you crouch away with Urban you can get behind a wall/tree/rock, but killers can still easily find you if they are looking.
I am not sure what could be done to the perk. It seems pretty balanced to me :)
-
Everyone has their opinion on what makes the games fun for them, and if you play in any other way you are toxic piece of trash. (Of course not everyone thinks this way, but we have all seen this behaviour).
The big issue is, and this is just my experience, survivors are the ones sending nasty messages saying how killers are bad because they played x way. Even as a survivor I have gotten messages from teammates yelling at me for not using x perk or how I am bad at looping. Survivor mains are notorious for harassing and bullying in this game.
The only messages I have gotten from killers is gg, comment on funny moment, or asking stuff regarding the match. Maybe I am lucky, but the messages I have recieved from killers are minimal and tame.
So yes, the community points at survivors and calls them out for their imaginary rules since they are majority making noise and telling people constantly what is fair in this game and the right way to play. Doesn't mean they are the only people with made up rules, survivors are just more vocal about it.
-
Kind of? Not in a mean way, I just expect them to play like me so when they have miss opportunities or they get outplayed I always think 'if you had done it this way you would have done better'.
I have see Hag/Pig killers WAY better than me and I will take mental notes on their gameplay :)
-
The Beast or The Renegade are my guesses ^^
-
PS4 needs more killers. Simple as that.
Hop on killer and you will get a game in 5 sec :)
-
If that is what you think you are good example why DC penalties are very much needed.
Those are horrible excuses to disconnect and ruin the game for 4 other people.
(Minus legit bug issues. I understand why a trapper wants to DC when they get stuck in the trap animation loop or a killer gets stuck in a pallet, etc).

I don't know why you would post such a post but oke. To make myself clear, i don't care when me or my friends get killed by the killer as long as it's not cheating or camping ;)
'As long as the killer plays what I deem fair and fun its okay if I die'.
Lol
Can camping be annoying and toxic? Sure. Being face camped is no fun but as everyone says above: the other 3 can get gens done and peace out. Easy peezy.
The killer punishes themselves when they camp, but hey, some people enjoy it! Plus when survivors fall for it killers can profit and get a lot of kills, which some people consider a win.
Also, how do you suggest the killer should be punished? Right now they loose points when they are in close proximity to the hook and no other survivors are around.
-
You could argue that survivors who get hit with Noed are bad survivors because they failed to cleanse totems. The easiest action to do in dbd. (I don't believe that, just flipping the script for arguments sake).
Either way it is silly to say 'someone is bad because they use x perk(s)'. Perks are there to use and to accommodate people's play styles. Some people like end game tactics which makes Noed a very good pick for that.
I have been sent really mean messages from other survivors saying I am trash for running Bond and Spine Chill (my favs) and no exhaustion perks. That is just how I like to play tho.
Sending anyone mean msg is rude and disrespectful but you can't stop people from being jerks... just ignore and play how you want to play.

I wouldn't know. I keep getting rank 15~18 killers in my matches and they usually go the same way of all 5 generators being done in 4~5 minutes.
Same.
Being Red Rank and getting rank 10+ killers is not fun for anyone. Frustrating for killer and boring for survivors.
-
Instead of reducing blood points, how about the killer gets a multiplayer for BP for every time they hook a new survivor?
On the flip side, (as @bloodshot said) maybe if someone is strongly tunneled and killed less then 3 min into the game that survivor is guaranteed a safety pip?
Imposing rules on how killer should play the game would make the role even less appealing. Might as well just make the killer an AI if they expected to play is a specific way.
-
I like the idea of it being a better aura reading/ tracking perk! Here is my suggestion for a buff:
Keep the fast time for opening lockers.
As soon as a survivor leaves the locker their aura is shown for 3 seconds.
After the 3 seconds they start hemorrhaging for 30 seconds.
The exposed status is too short to really do anything with, and if the time on it was prolonged it would make Iron Maiden too OP I think. It would be nice to ditch it in favor of tracking.
Lots of nice ideas above ^^
-
I can understand your reasoning, but not for me.
I kill myself on hook if there is no hope, teammates are clearly messing around, or if teammates are playing mean/toxic towards other survivors or the killer. I don't have time for that.
-
DS and Noed.
-
Bond is amazing especially for Solo. It provides a ton of information.
Use it along with Spine Chill and you have a 36m info bubble and nothing will catch you off guard.
Kindred is great as well but of course that is only helpful when someone is on the hook. I found Bond to be the best aura perk overall.
-
I wouldn't worry about.
People get upset at the smallest things in this game. Leaving someone on hook when gates are open is not a reportable offense.
-
Instead of them all being lit I think it would be better if none are lit. This would make Hex Totems less of beacon and also make totems more a must do objective.
When a Hex is cleansed the same notification would go off.
Not sure how op that idea is tho.
Either way I agree with you that totems in general need a little something.
-
Thanks to survivor wait times I learned to knit ^^ Right now I can do hats and scarves.
(I was getting bored of fb scolling while I wait).
-
100% yes :D
