The best part is how Peanits said they made way more survivor challenges in this tome than killer challenges because they thought there'd be too many people playing killer after the patch
-
He sounds less deadpan now? I've been muting the entries this time but I'll give it another shot

This would be a simple:
- Intoxicated survivors will be forced to slow vault pallets and vaults.
- Survivors do not see the killer's red stain while intoxicated.
Just make him better in chases while being weaker in map pressure.
Killers are supposed to be good at what they do, while having a weakness. 😁
That's pretty good

If any killer could pop out of lockers...
I think clown could be buffed by making the gas damage generators and intensely buffing the base duration and intensity of his bottles
-
"Annoying" means "Takes mild effort to escape from" to these people, it's so grossly dishonest
-
They tore madness up, that way more than enough so quit crying. He's easier to beat now anyway
-
I think predator would be ok if it brightened the trail and had the old effect where it's visible longer too. One of my favorite builds when I was new was sloppy, predator, bloodhound and shadowborn. Tracking the trail was a lot of fun, shadowborn used to make everything brighter on top of those perk effects. Usually theyd selfcare to full the second line of sight broke so I stopped running it as I hit higher ranks but I miss that blood tracking aspect

Survivor: Spine Chill. I worship this thing now.
Killer: I like Fire Up. its kinda fun to meme with
I love the idea of Fire Up as a response to gen speed, it just needs some minor tweaking to be worthwhile.
I want to see 5% action speed and 1% movement speed per token, that way there's a reason to run it over Brutal Strength and it can help catch up when the gens all ping off so fast, especially if you're being ran at the time.

Save the best for last, brutal strength, whispers

Not scary movie?
I consider Scary Movie a canon entry
-
Do you have ANY IDEA how hard it actually is to get kills with those addons? You need all the evil within charges from 3.5 survivors, and the tombstone substantially reduces your speed, I think it makes you like 4.2-.3 from 4.6. The only way to make it reasonably viable is getting 3 tokens on Play With Your Food to put your speed to normal. Survivors have to make a lot of bad plays plays and basically feed you kills, it's most difficult killer strategy to pull off successfully in the game. It's all setup and fails if one thing goes wrong. If you die to it you're just bad, full stop
-
4 man swf "Rare" indeed, knew that claim was dubious at best.
-
This game has so much weird nonsense that they didn't consider while programming I wouldn't be surprised. I'd rateher throw the game faster and get rift xp than dc though
-
I think it's kinda dirty myself, like jumping on those rocks that killer can't reach but am dealing with it. The worst part is that withou the pickup vacuum it can take a bit longer to pick them up than it should if they crawl into a couple spots on the hay

I explained it extremely simply. I honestly have no idea how I can possibly dumb it down for you anymore. But I will try.
Platform: PS4
DC option A: pause game. Choose leave. Confirm. Survivors still get points.
DC option B: press ps button. Select dbd app, press options button, close software. Survivors get no points.
So why would I not care?
I didn't know option B denied points or existed, nice

My favorite has to be Franklin's Demise, Leatherface just appears out of NOWHERE and destroys Franklin. I cheered the first time I saw it, "SURPRISE! YOU'VE DEAD!!!" it was so exciting. I had the opposite reaction to the first TCM than a lot of people, one person I saw it with was so scared they were paralyzed while the movie makes me hungry for meat. I learned how to make chili because of TCM2 and Leatherface's gear in the game. I put something from the series on when I cook it.

I mean... I like a lot of them.
The opening of scream.
The dinner in texas chainsaw massacre.
Any scene with michael stalking laurie plus the chase at the end.
Pretty much everytime the demogorgon shows up in stranger things.
The ending of SAW.
But... this is the best one.
With a very honorable mention to the long take in the...2018...2019? Movie. Because it was glorious.
John Carpenter's direction was "stand there like an artist admiring your work"

honestly that clip from Texas Chainsaw Massacre is what I was going to link.
That... that scene is so freaking disturbing from how realistic/unhollywood it is.
No music stings, no overdrawn camera switching, just a mallet to the face, the body confulsing under the trauma, and another hit to completely kill the guy off.
Just super nasty and disturbing, this is how it would be irl, just messed up and therefor a fantastic memorable scene.
Still makes me sad this is not the mori animation for LF.
Agreed on the scene, I love the Leatherface mori we got though. I think Leatherface should have a much smaller default terror radius because they're using OG leatherface, who always took victims completely by surprise. Ironically that stupid Insidious ambush build is the most canonically accurate way to play him

Whats your favorite Iconic scene from one of the Licensed Characters movies in DBD?
It doesn't have to be a scene of the Killer.
Heres mine from Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge.
If you don't know this, leave the forums NOW.
Have you seen Mark Patton's "Scream, Queen! My Nightmare on Elm Street"? It's an amazing documentary about what it was like to be a gay actor in 1980s Hollywood. Even made me cry a little, there was a lot of hardship he went through. Awesome guy too, met him at the film fest screening

I had a couple games where killers DC'd recently.
In one, it was an Oni on Lery's who, with only one or two gens left, hadn't even hit a single survivor. I noticed during chases that he wasn't able to track via scratch marks very well, so he must've been very new and he was going against survivors who had more than an hour's experience.
The other was a Spirit on Ormond who maybe got a hit on one survivor, but overall she did poorly in chases, and in the middle of a chase with me she ran into a wall and just kept running for a few seconds before the game suddenly ended. Maybe it was a connection thing, but she probably quit on purpose.
I couldn't blame either of them for quitting. I'm sure they were having no fun whatsoever, were very frustrated, and had probably earned next to nothing for BP. Sometimes after matches like that, I wonder if those players will ever try killer again.
Possibly not, but hey more survivor players that's all anyone cares about right
-
Survivors dc on hidden offerings, first downs, or even just perks; so deal with it survivormain
-
I strongly prefer a fair game where I can let people go in a chase sometimes but am being forced to slug, tunnel and even soft camp far more lately
-
It sounded pretty grim, happy I read the summary thread instead of watching it live, would've probably driven me to self-harm again
-
Your fortitude is listening to their survivor bias hs truly impresses me, great work

How do you use BT and DS to bully the killer?
Play a few red rank matches, you'll see really fast that it's impossible to actually get kills through those invincibility perks unless survivors let you

I play both sides at red ranks, just remember, agression generates agression, the change has to start in one of the sides, the problems are not the gamers per se, the problems radicate in specific game threads that need attention for this to get better for both sides.
Swf is frustrating and unfun to play so no. If anything survivors deserve far more extreme, unrestrained aggression than the kid gloves and muzzles we're forced to wear on these forums allow.

Good idea, autododge if you see toolboxes

No. My little brother has inquired about it as we play Apex and PUBG together almost nightly and I told him not to bother a week or so ago. Queue times for survivor is too long, killer is too sweaty. Most of my other friends have already tried it a year or more ago and quickly moved on.
You know at least half of that is due to the extreme killer nerfs right?
-
Hell no, I don't promote the game to anyone anymore

If you take balance seriously, and really consider the issues involved, you should be able to see how Ruin was covering up an underlying issue with the balancing in the game. Now that it's gone, the problem is pervasive, and someone unwilling to acknowledge that isn't being reasonable. Meaning that, any responses that suggest the Ruin change is great is denying that there are imbalance issues, which is not constructive. This IS just a video game, but this kind of reasoning is essentially what motivates corruption. "It's ok to overlook issues that harm a community when the law or authorities say its ok, and it's totally constructive for me to agree with that, even if it's impact is mostly negative, overall."
Good analogy, totally agree
-
Survivors wanted this with their extreme trolling and nerf begging, I don't care at all about any of their problems.
-
I like save the best for last on there, unsure myself about what else is good
-
Mostly agree with OP, all the survivor replies are really whipping me into a violent frenzy so I'm trying to stay clearer of the topic for now
-
If one survivor does it report them all and tell the others why, most are swfs purposely abusing it anyway

I still think the best suggestion for a killer perk buff has to be this one for Spies from the Shadows:
Spies from the Shadows: Reveals the auras of all crows (in yellow or white) within a 24/28/36 meter radius. Crows no longer respond to your presence, and all disturbed crows have 100% louder volume within the radius.
This gets rid of the godawful loud BANG noise the current version has, the silly 5 second cooldown, and instead lets killers see crows as little signal flares leaping into the sky when disturbed as well as being more audible for the killer so they know which direction to look, Plus the killer doesn't disturb them any more so there's no "false signals". It's still completely countered by Calm Spirit and Urban Evasion, and a large number of maps don't have too many crows in key locations (Rotten fields for example doesn't have any crows in the corn field despite the lack of a scarecrow) so its not an overpowered tracking tool, just a far more useful one.
Why cant the crow just fly up and circle a few seconds

I would have to respectfully disagree . every time I use it I have plenty of time to look around. but hey maybe your experience is different than mine .
I go for a hook immediately after downing in most cases, if you don't you get bodyblock trolled of flashlighted immediately

I think a lot of people use thrilling to try and block generators . I really like to use it for information as to what gens the survivors are working on . it pairs really well with pop . I also find it more reliable than bbq and chili from my experience because there are so many ways for survivors to counter bbq
You don't have time to look around long while carrying and bg the time you get them hooked the perk wore off, that's my issue
-
@Peanits said:
You'd apply pressure the same way you would as any killer. It's not exclusive a select few.
To give an example, say you have one on the hook, you slugged a second that went for the save, and then you left and found a third survivor to chase. That's three people not on generators, and the hooked survivor will die if they don't go for the save. This isn't an extremely uncommon scenario. Even assuming you don't have somebody slugged, you can have one hooked, one in chase, and a third going for the save, leaving only one person on a generator.
Pressure does not mean only chases.
Yes I need to activate Michael Myers' chainsaw to sprint across the map, it all works the same
-
Watch it be by 1% or something completely meaningless
-
Oh moy god are you serious about them nerfing even more of our perks for no reason?! Thanatophobia is barely playable in dedicated builds

It never stops does it. This entitlement and persecution complex.
Players - specifically killer mains - have been complaining over and over and over again about the stale survivor meta perks. Seeing the same 4 perks game after game after game.
The developers buff some weaker perks to bring them into use, hopefully to bring some variety to the perks survivors are using and the first thing killer mains say is...
”why do only survivor perks get buffed?? I knew it you prfioritize survivors!!”
Maybe nerf those 4 perks instead? They should've buffed several killer perks before nerfing ruin
-
Thrilling Tremors is pretty awful, it's so brief you get nothing out of it 95% of the time. Shocks me that its gets used tbh
-
@Peanits said:
Cruel Limits is on our "soon" list, but we have plenty of other perks on our list for future updates. Unfortunately we can't hit them all at once. Don't worry, there will be killer perk changes in the future as well.
"Changes" like the deletion of Ruin and Tinkerer (very bad) or changes like Sloppy Butcher and Surveillance (which are awesome now btw, good work)?
-
The shock stun works weird now and doesn't stop you from using pallets half the time, I'd run as normal
-
I hate them personally but wouldn't mind them being normal items
-
Rule 1: NEVER feel bad
-
They just need to shrink a few of them
-
They somewhat nerfed him with madness not doing anything anymore but even the compromise wasn't weak enough for survivors. He can only do it once in forever, if you haven't done all the gens and escaped by his 3rd static blast coming online you're just bad, get better at survivor

The devs plan on fixing those maps/killers so all we can do now is wait/educate the less informed.
Lol imagine believing there's a plan
