She's impossible to learn now and a lot of the veterans left. "S-tier" is a myth at this point, I want solid proof she's actually the best after that nerf
-
Because she was nerfed so severely she's unplayable now?
-
Lol how do you deal with the killers terror radius, same thing.
-
Maybe Freddy, it changes depending on what horror mood I'm in that month. It used to be Doctor for a long time.
-
Most people seem to hate then dismiss some arguments and topics just because Tru3ta1ent talked about them and their favorite streamer disagrees, it's pretty ugly. Tru3 is ultimately right about most of it but that doesn't reach those people.

Well said, here's mine:
"It feels like there's been too much adjustment in favor of survivors, especially seeing how dismissively the developers respond to people bringing up concerns brought up by killers on the forums. There are many excellent suggestions for improving killer gameplay that go ignored or even mocked by developers in chatge of the forums. In every communication developers come off as biased towards survivor and only make this perception worse every time. I've been having anxiety issues in my personal life and retreat into games as an escape, and the December dev stream made me so worried about what was happening to the killer role it tripped off an attack. I simply want to be assured that they're listening to killer feedback and the game will be ok but it just gets worse. "Don't let anything RUIN your day" tweeted by one of them was especially upsetting since it showed how seriously our concerns were being handled. There's a lot that could be done to boost the horror elements of the game and the forums have plenty of great ideas. Never touch Moris since they're among the last scary elements in the game (I do play survivor too). Overall it feels like the game is in decline lately. The Freddy rework was perfect but followed by an immediate turn in the wrong direction with multiple killer nerfs that went somewhat too far. I bought $50+ worth of cells in gratitude for New Nightmare but felt immediately punished for my support by the nurse, spirit, oni, and ruin nerfs. I know this was long but I hope someone took the time to hear these concerns. I'd love to feel good about promoting the game on horror websites and podcasts but I can't do it in the current state of things. I've spent well over $100 on this game and don't want to see it go under. Hopefully if it's ported to the new xbox coming in fall progression carries over as well."

Killers do all the same things. Both sides need to realize they are no better than the other inherently or power wise lmao.
Being loud is the only way anything gets fixed ir looked at, so no, not stopping

Sounds to me like you’re just kissing up.
I've only been a DbD member since about October and since then this game has become a nightmare to play.
Extended Queue times as a survivor.
Short lived games as a killer.
Abusive survivor mechanics.
Any issue/glitch resulting in miserable gameplay for survivors seems to be fixed almost immediately while I’ve been reading about a sound bug on Spirit for months it feels.
Nurse is a ######### killer now and used to give me a world of problems but only the best can now.
Survivors are constantly calling for Nerfs against killers, their add-ons and their perks, and it seems the majority of the time the Devs follow suit.
One of the most used perks by Killer, (I rarely used unless a team of Toolboxes appear) Ruin, got nerfed because it was “too difficult” for new survivors to hit the skill checks.
Maps are too large for the majority of the killers except Freddy, Nurse, Billy, and ???
Vast majority of the killers lack mobility and most result in becoming M1 killers despite certain abilities (Bubba, GF).
Doctor was just reworked and Survivors are already screaming nerf and I’m sure it’ll comes
I understand that certain exhaustion perks have been “nerfed” and certain looping abilities have been altered, but this game is seriously one-sided and I feel it every single time I play this game on both sides.
Idk what changed but since the Ruin nerf, I’ve encountered too many games with Toolboxes and where 2-3 gens are popped during, or after my first chase. I believe it’s for the simple thought that survivors no longer FEAR Hex:Ruin. This is a game about a Killer vs 4 survivors and killers fear survivors more.
So, I’m very disappointed in this development team because this game has some serious potential but some serious bias towards one side.
Really called it like it is on ALL counts, good post

Nah, that's too far man. BHVR may have made some questionable choices, but it's nowhere near the dumpster fire of 76.
Is it really though? At this point EA could probably do better, we've already got the microtransactions

The art and story teams are my heroes, I love them so much. Whomever reworked Freddy deserves the Medal of Honor (or it's Canadian equivalent). The "balance" team behind all the patches after the Stranger Things DLC, Mathieu, and the other guys from the last few streams should be fired and blacklisted from the North American programming industry.

"Lobby dodging and toolboxes would not be such a problem if they got Ruin back, the real Ruin. That is a devs problem not a killer vs survivor problem."
That's the exact point of this thread, it's not OUR problem, so, why make it ours? There's a movement against survivors right now in case you didn't know, killers are exorting each other to face camp, tunnel, insta mori and bring NOED, not as a strategy, but as a toxic complain against Ruin nerf, as a strategy that's on you, but as a childish way of complaining, that's another story.
About this: "You won't politely ask survivors not to tbag and clicking? Strange." Would you PLEASE read the post again and go to this part: "I politely ask you, killers, not to lobby dodge, tunnel or face camp (this doesn't apply for toxic players who teabag)".
Without fail if you ask survivors to play nice the replies contain slurs and they try way harder to do whatever you asked them not to before spamming "gg2ez trash killer break your game *** lol" messages after they die because they had to risk one more flashlight blind at the gate
-
Survivors are total d**ks to killers at literally every possible opportunity both in-game and everywhere online, I do not care about their "fun" in the slightest bit and they all deserve to be tunneled and camped with absolute maximum prejudice.
-
They were nerfed for literally no reason beyond baby survivors whining. They seemed to deactivate if you ran them together, that "forever freddy" build was a fake meme, it never worked unless you were so bad at survivor you'd have lost just as hard to anything else from any killer. They should be fully restored to earlier numbers
-
New ruin is so bad even with Surveillance, it doesn't even trip off if they stay on the gen, does literally nothing against genrushes and they don't bother looking for the totem
-
It helps you find them if you had to leave them down. Also helps your teammates because it's distracting
-
Moris should never be touched you #&^$&#&^$^%##^?-%-***#^*
-
We're not much faster, if you run in a straigh line it actually takes killer a pretty long time to catch up, you lose distance by running left or right to cover. If anything killers should be a little faster. Also fun fact survivors move roughly 6 mph and killer about 7. Legion in frenzy is booking like 13

I thought they had to stay on a hook for 3 whole minutes total and didn't know about hook phases, so I camped a lot my first week. Also thought bleeding out counted as a kill for the mori dailies. I think there's a few more things I don't remember at the moment. Just causing trouble with my beginner level Doctor was so fun, especially after I figured out how to actually play

Will we be able to see that "skill rating" though? Because thats an important issue. No one is going to trust the new matchmaking system after they saw what is happening now.
You know what I mean. No matter the system or your motivation, not letting people review the results by themselves automaticaly accuses you of manipulation. I know you dont have bad intentions, but matchmaking results need to stay visible for everyone, just for the sake of trust between players and developers.
Precisely
-
Arguably the programming team doesn't care about the horror element and just want survivor to be an easy, non-threatening causal experience. They couldn't care less about horror or the killer experience
-
Because none of them really play and the ones in charge of balance decisions are incredibly bad at the game, designing "balance" changes based on how they lost their last couple rank 20 survivor matches.
-
Survivors are liars, ignore them
-
It looks somewhat suspicious, if it doesn't work out well there won't be much of a trail to tell without it showing info

As opposed to what? Camping survivors or tunneling survivors? Is that fun for you? For them? Does that make you think you're good, does it help you improve? Being fair and fun for a lot of killers was trying to hook everyone 12 times. Generally speaking that is fun for everyone because everyone will walk away with a lot of points and pip, and it isn't unfun. I'm not going to pound gens if I know a killer plays like this. Killers can't really do that anymore because Ruin generally gave them the little boost to get pressure rolling. In fact killers who play like that now are more likely to play more unfair because they simply have to.
If you don't think that fair killers exist or you disagree with that then that's fine. There's nothing wrong with playing how you want to play or doing those things to win.But if your goal is to play unfairly, then you'll never improve and you're probably going to be stuck being a below average killer at best
I strongly prefer to play fairly and 3 hook everyone, a 2-3k with 3 hooking them that lasted 10 minutes is how I quantify a good match
-
Both are very weak, if you're good at getting hooks fast dying light. Thano is more reliable to activate but it doesn't actually slow them down much at all if you're not combining it with other slowdown perks. It does depend a bit on your style, I'd say thanatophobia if I had to hardpick one.

I know killers are being ######### on by the devs right now. I even get the do whatever it takes to do your job, but seriously camping it's still so bad. I'm trying to get my wife to enjoy the game and it's bad enough our ranks are so severely different (I've deranked numerous times but it's too easy to rank as survivor) but when killers camp and tunnel her, it's really hard to get her to enjoy the game.
Not to mention the grind increases for those games since your stuck earning half the possible points. There is almost no way for her to practice the game if she has to wait the 20 minutes wait time and then sits on a hook for 3-4 minutes of a 6-8 minute game.
Camping and tunneling is literally the only thing about this game, I truely despise. Everything else I take because it's in the game so it's fair game. NOED, I just cleanse the totems. Old hex ruin, I just cleansed the totems. Doctor, I just run around constantly and usually die. Freddy, like Deadpool to Juggernaut I just drool over my idol. Killers standing 5-10m away on first hook, really just makes me hate the game.
Survivors asked for this by begging for killer nerfs, sucks. Also I wouldn't try to introduce someone I care about to the game in it's current state, recipe for resentment

Sad thing is, I run BT. My friends run DS. They still tunnel the first survivor into the ground.
I've taken a hit before unhooking to make time for the unhook and try to block or get their attention only to have them run around and tunnel the other survivor into the ground.
Just a game or 2 ago, I managed to take 2 hits trying to stop this legion from tunneling. Only for him to leave me and continue his chase. Bottom line is, I don't want to be forced to a specific build because killers can't play. I like the perks I run.
If I see a bodyblock like that I try VERY hard to tunnel the one they protected to death ASAP
-
Well you clods wanted it by supporting the ruin nerf, expect much worse to come
-
I've done it a couple times as a gag and it's shameful how often it gets kills
-
I didn't learn it was a thing till December 2019, makes sense why people would sometimes stop and do that to my pig. I always respond with immediate maximal brutality

@Mikeasaurus said:
While I respect your opinion, I have to disagree. Ruin didn't stop killers from being able to get kills or win. It's the fact that it became such a crutch for a vast majority that they can't seem to function straight without it. Now don't get me wrong, I know how useful Ruin was, but it was usually gone within the first minute, so there's no real difference. The new Ruin is actually good if survivors don't purge it instantly. Killers just need to start using newer tactics instead of just praying 4 survivors will just happily stroll around for 2 minutes searching for a Totem.
It was never a crutch, ****$#%#^

Pretty much its accepted at this point, that the only way a killer can get downs, hooks, and kills is literally by survivor mistakes, except for killers like spirit.
Even then if they run the other direction they can lose the spirit, that video with diagrams was hilarious becuase they went "you go this way and run right into her at this loop" like pointing at a drawing of it to explain. I paused it and went "what if they go the other way?" And the video NEVER considered the other route I traced out.
-
Also whispering "Now." when hitting EW3, which I sometimes catch myself doing
-
I would argue against buying demogorgon becase his sound effects are so loud you wont be able to hear survivors over them
-
I can see short, almost whispered phrases from original Myers
*Picking the obsession* "That one."
*grabbing someone to start the tombstone mori* "...You."
-
That is the worst idea I've heard in awhile and insulting to the tragedy on top of it

Is that because the killer is strong or because they outplayed you with the limited mechanics of the game?
Some killers actually do need buffs: Pig was nerfed 8 times in a row, Nurse and Spirit had unjustified changes that only survivor mains wanted...
That and there is a massive amount of second chance and exhaustion perks that can be absolutely abused if used correctly.
I would love to see other survivor perks buffed so others aren't predictable/seen as much just for more variety.
It's almost entirely being outplayed, survivors expect to escape every match because it's so easy and getting downed is surprising. It's never about how the survivors could play better, it's "how the killer be weakened to not get me in thaf situation?"

Yea, you have a point. Especially when he comes up and say "go play Civilization". Yea, this one was a big fault, but he already apologized for it. And to me that's understandable.
Also, that clip you mentioned (about him playing Hag against some korean survivors) was long ago, when we had stuff like pallet vacuum, double pallets, very strong flashlights, old Borrowed Time, old Decisive Strike, fast Self Care, insta-heal medkits. Game may be not so perfect right now, but some two years ago it was a nightmare for killers.
After he did that I've had billionaire dreams where I buy bhvr and fire Mathieu in my first company meeting in front of all the staff, shouting "Maybe you should just go work on Civilization VI" as I have security forcibly remove him from the building. Appears as a daydream pretty frequently too

Matthew Cote is indeed one of the game directors but he's not responsible for game balance. He works more with acquiring licenses for DbD. Ghostface, Stranger Things, Freddy Krueger. Stuff like that.
Game balance is: Ethan Larson, a physicist and board-game designer who's done puzzle games for mobile and Louis McLean, a web content designer who's done some work to Star Citizen, a game that "(...) have attracted criticism for continuing to raise funds enthusiastically while failing to meet project deadlines".
These are your guys.
Maybe I can cut Mathieu a break in that case but the other 2 should be fired immediately
-
That was a genuinely pathetic stream where Mathieu got flashlight blinded what, like 2 dozen times? Then in the very next patch they buffed the absolute bajeesus out of flashlights, pointing it in the killers direction was enough to instablind. They rolled it back a few weeks later because it was so severe.

He's said one word as an adult in the whole series, the controversial "DIE!!" to Dr. Loomis in RZ's Halloween II, and that was I think a deleted scene too. Myers just has violence on his mind all the time and really nothing to say beyond quick quips like that

Woow see twitter for my uncensored opinion on this garbage

Face it.
The game is dying. They really messed up with these last few patches.
Killers don't want to invest time into a game that continues to put you at a disadvantage before you even start the game. It's not fun.
I've played the game once since the patch. It's just absolutely ridiculous to be that out of touch with your own game.
It's a shame. Hate to see it.
100% agree
-
Pretty much all killers has easy "just run" counterplay, the game is so crazily survivor biased you can only die from your own direct mistakes, so get better at chases and stop trying to nerf things unnecessarily because of your inexperience
-
Smaller terror radius and faster saw charge would fix most of his problems. I'd like to see something that interacts with totems or hooks since that's his thing in the original
