Nothing really, it was ok when they tweaked it a few months ago but they quickly nerfed it back to hell. Don't waste a perk spot, unless you're doing a bit with scarecrow outfit Wraith or Hillbilly
-
I'd argue nurse, learning her is aggressively unfun and not rewarding as she's very easy to punk after her nerf and totally addon dependent. Now you put in 300 hours of practice to get little payoff as a functional killer
-
I pitched that earlier, but a flat 5-6% action speed and 1% movement speed per gen. On freddy that would cover the loss of teleporting when gens are done whild quickly punishing genrush. If there was risk to just mindlessly doing all gens as fast as possible it'd open up some strategy on survivor side. That's why NOED should never be messed with, by genrushing you don't look for totems and risk getting nailed
-
I suck at skillchecks and old ruin was actually threatening. I hardly notice new ruin most of the time. I usually look for it anyway because i like to throw progress down whenever possible all over the map but it's a really bad perk now
-
Haddonfield roof, ormond resort, mothers cabin; like that. Pretty easy one thankfully
-
Iridescent head is fine and fair, wow that was easy. The people mad about it forget that it's actually difficult to land hatchet shots on console
-
Often it means "you didnt leave when you spotted my teammates hiding behind this hook"
-
I'm still using the classic doc combo of Unnerving Presence and Overcharge. Even experienced survivors often miss that skillcheck because the two perks are so rarely used. I don't personally like whispers but the utility is excellent since you WILL lose the match off one or two missed blasts. BBQ is great and I use it on every killer because it incentivizes you not to camp and save time, plus I'm always starving for bp. STBFL is a good alt for speeding up attacks, you'll land lots of hits as doc. Previously I was using Brutal Strength over Whispers because you want to kick everything asap with overcharge. If you want the most bp Distressing is acceptable over whispers and helps your Unnerving combo but you'll realistically get more mileage out of something else.

I think it technically ended at 9 or 10 central. The grind was much less severe on the survivor side of things, if there were 6-7 more totsl killer challenges this rift would've been much more pleasurable
-
Indeed it does look like 10 or 11 tomorrow morning

I think I remember seeing an hour countdown when it was about to end on the last rift.
I could be crazy.
There was an hour countdown, but it wasn't clear if there was supposed to be this time. Got a healthy amount of survivor challenges and just need 7 levels but it's so grindy I'm tured after hitting it all week. I miss Doom so badly
-
Been having that problem on xbox, it frequently just wont register I'm pressing the button
-
@Fibijean said:
As far as the Rift countdown goes, "one day left" means more than one day, but less than two. At the point where there are less than 24 hours left, the countdown will change to show hours remaining instead. I believe the Rift is due to close in about a day and a half, at 11AM EST on the 1st.
God I hope so, it's so vague and everyone has a different answer. Did anyone from bhvr confirm?

As title says, the last 10 mins can't connect. My internet is fine and i can play other games. Does somebody else has same issue?
I do, plus this too. Last 5 games crashed on xbox

BBQ and Chili is completely out of hand and overpowered. I am going endless waves of matches against killers ALL of whom take it. THEN, survivors getting lucky if we even get ONE generator down.
The reading aura portion of the perk is absurd and should be removed. The aura reading after a hook creates a snow ball effect for the next hook, eventually leading to a win for the killer.
It is also completely unaballanced. One perk should not instantly lead to 4 kills and zero generators.
Nice bait, survivors have like 8 perks 4x stronger than bbq

Survivors move at a speed of 4 meters per second, which is a total of 14,400 meters per hour, or 8.948 miles per hour.
Killers move at a speed of 4.6 meters per second, which is a total of 16,650 meters per hour, or about 10.29 miles per hour.
Legion in Frenzy moves at a speed of 5.2 meters per second, which is a total of 18,720 meters per hour or about 11.632 miles per hour.
I did the math last fall too, Killers are supernaturally empowered, while survivors run above average for humans. Demogorgon could probably run raster, and the legion frenzy is about my top sprinting speed from the bodybuilding days. Most of the maps are just 20% too big in many cases
-
Leatherface needs a substantial buff, Hillbilly is fine; stop trying to nerf every killer. Pig needs a couple buffs but I kinda like where she is. Add more trap activation conditions
-
They should redo it, I bet survivors perform even better. The point is to prove the balance is messed up and we need a loudly publicized study since so many deny it. The Nurse was actually playable in the original experiment; I'm confident she's the worst killer after her nerf
-
He's cool but feels rather bad, definitely needs a movement buff or something

OR for a little perspective, have you realized that survivors genrush BECAUSE killers camp, slug, and tunnel and if you don't have enough gens done to counter that, you're going to lose every time?
It's a "which came first, the chicken or the egg argument?" and that can go in circles.
Lol ridiculous
-
It kinda sucks, got much easier to miss
-
@supersonic853 said:
When i see posts about genrush its always "just apply more pressure" and "its the survivors objective" cant the same be said for like the daily nerf camping and tunneling posts? Killers goal is to kill how they get the kills is fine whether it be standing infront of the survivor holding a chainsaw or chasing that survivor until they're dead. But camping and tunneling is throwing gens away. The difference is that if i take 30 seconds to get to the other side of the map with clown and i find and chase a survivor for 30 seconds and down them and hook them (which might take another 20) thats 3 gens gone when i was doing my job of hooking a survivor.Gen speeds are harder to counter then tunneling and camping. Especially when survivors have bt and ds to help them. I hate the us vs them since i play both sides but i dont get why survivors complain about camping and tunneling with how the game currently is. (And thats the base gen speed toolboxes can make it faster so even if im quicker doesn't make a difference).
That's how it works, survivor toxicity is strongly encouraged and supported, anything killer does is scorned. The double standard is insane

lol or like CNN and MSNBC are NOT bias towards certain polictians.
Right?
Ah an ohtofu or edgarallenbro fan I see. That's not the literal only reason cnn or MSNBC get any funding or platformed whatsoever, they do other stuff.
-
He should be able to pull them over vaults because it fits with common sense physics

Agreed. I mostly play Bubba for the memes, I must assume it is quite fun though.
I wish leatherface was as good as freddy or ghostface, with nemesis and pwyf he can get some wins. People just assume youre going to camp and are often completely unprepared for aggressive chases

It is somehow still used as an argument that game balance is fine because it happens from time to time.
Certain streamers who play mostly potatoes but have big audiences repeat it ad nauseam and it gets people to internalize the myth. Kinda like how praegerU or steve crowder push their propaganda by just repeating it often enough
-
Because her nerf was far too extreme and wrecked both veteran nurses and people trying toblearn. It takes like 400 full dedicated hours of practice to get ok with new nurse and it's a punishing unfun experience for every single second, it's perfectly understandable nobody want to put themselves through it for the minor reward of an ok at best killer
-
Killers only win fast if survivors make really bad mistakes, that can't really be denied
-
Leatherface, freddy, doctor, legion and pig; it's a big tie. I think I get the most satisfaction from leatherface, his dlc got me into this mess
-
@rephaim said:
Because the games they win are against new survivors or the infamous "potato" survivors that drag the other survivors down. Surprisingly you don't need to be a team to win, but having toxic survivors drag the other survivors down with them just throws the whole game. Mostly just running to the other survivors and blatantly giving away their positions. I blame the matchmaking to be honest.
They're better than Monto, who only uploads his games against potatoes
-
Because it shows that even they can't beat survivors in many scenarios and displays the imbalance? They're the only streamers I really watch
-
@Respectfulnancymain said:
So many killers complain about getting gen rushed in 5 minutes but then slug everyone then hook
Complain about survivors hiding, looping and gen rushing then tunnel, camp and slug
Using op add on then complaing about insta heals
Same can be said about survivors but i notice more hypocrisy from killers on the fourms and reddit
Have you realized the GENRUSH IS WHY KILLERS STARTED USING THOSE TACTICS MORE OFTEN yet? We'd strongly prefer to play longer matches but it's not viable unless you like getting trolled by survivors
-
Fully agree, keep him somewhere in the lobby!

She's practically unplayable now, that's why

Yeah, I really enjoyed watching them unhook someone and run to an exit gate in front of me because it was all done in under 7 seconds...
*fun when it worked in rare circumstances
-
Lol this is preposterous, great bait

its funny, every time a new DLC comes out i return with some sort of deep down hope they have fixed the massive balance issue, and every single time I start to play killer and rank up I realize just how much I hate this game... like truly deep down hate it.
Im stupid for believing in them and i'm a f'in mornon for giving them money each time.
About where we are too
-
@DisappointedUser said:
Wait what.. “why would anyone want to complete 12 gens?” I think you are probably playing the wrong game if you don’t want to complete gens. Especially if the idea of doing 12 of them bothers you.
Because that'll take like 4 full hours alone due to que times?

i'm in the same situation but most of the people i know started leaving once ruin was nerfed and the match making got really bad. it was kind of the last straw for them. a lot of people have said that they are only staying because there's no game like dbd out there at the moment. well that may not be the case much longer. i'm also leaving once project resistance comes out in april.
Pretty much all my friends quit back when they killed nurse
-
The devs love survivor and hate killer tho
-
Lol literally impossible for a killer to be op
-
First dlc I didn't buy right away, looks like we made the right call that they wouldn't help him after ptb
-
The extra week was probably just a stealth vacation, doubt there was more than an afternoon of actual work done judging from the ptb changes
-
Because they hate killers and moderately ok killer perks are on the chopping block
-
They'll never rebalance DS, 70% of survivor players would be lost without their broken hypercheat invincibility perk to completely depend on for every escape. Granted it's slightly fairer for the first down after the rework but much more abusable afterward. It directly rewards bad plays and trolling, the perk is the worst thing in the game
-
@Nickeleye said:
Well that's disappointing. I was hoping Hang mans trick would stay the same if they were going to keep saboteur the same.
Killer mains...the red headed step child of dbd.
It was good for killer, of course they couldn't leave it in
-
@Almo said:
This perk is meant to show you if someone is close to a hook for sabo purposes. The range does not need to be as big as it was to suit that purpose.
The range is so short now that it's not enough time to deal with sabotage, they have plenty of time to run in and sabo because you get practically no warning at each tier, 10m MAYBE but 6 is too small
-
It's been badly broken like that for months and the devs dont care at all, the game WILL die out by Fall
-
@Tactless_Ninja said:
Yup consoles are terrible for shooters. That's why you've never seen a single FPS oriented game break a million sales. Simply no interest in the genre. The controls are too archaic. Am I a caveman? I'm walking into walls and shooting the ceiling it's just impossible without superior mouse and keyboard controls to either look left or right.
Joystick? More like awful stick amirite?
For dead by daylight yeah the responsiveness is bad

If you're a new player, it's best to play killer first and foremost. It's the easiest way to get used to the game and it's mechanics without being driven away by the harsh nature of the gameplay.
You'll just run into rank 1 swf and get bullied into utter oblivion, it's worse for new killers by far
