You’ve never heard of hostage doc? Lol you really don’t know anything huh. It’s when you make your add one be range add ons and have a 3 gen all you have to do it shock towards the gens in a good 3 gen and the survivor screams and you keep kicking gens to apply overcharge and surveillance and just keep doing it until either you or the survivor gives up or makes a mistake

Maybe I never thought of that because I don't play like a jerk (even though I probably should)?

”You’re a survivorororor main you don’t agree with me wahhhhh” even though his profile pic is the oni, well guess what doctor is better now quit ######### crying look I have a GF avatar quit acting like you know everything, child.

    Rational and mature response

  • I wish they never released those bad stats, every survivor creep rrolls them out to justify anything they want

    1. "Killer doesn't meme. Killer isn't fun. How dare the killer play the game seriously and not be a circus act for survivors". Gotcha.
    2. Every killer has the same M1 lunge. Some just look larger because they are smaller character models.
    3. Yep, Ruin got nerfed, time to complain about killers that can actually apply gen pressure. Even if they are completely beatable, how dare they have a chance.
    4. Anti looping tools only means you have to change how you loop. Adapt.

I seriously hope you were being sarcastic. It almost seems like it, cause you listed all the positives as negatives...so please, please tell me you're being sarcastic.

    👏👏👏👏👏

  • Legion because a good amount of their stuff are things in my own wardrobe (including a couple of their knives I bought back in my teens)

  • He's a heck of a lot better now, as someone who bought it at release. I feel like I'm 2010 Freddy instead of some guy that looks like him.

  • @not_Queef said:

Chucky wouldn't work in this game, Pennywise would suck and there is already a clown, Jason is a no-go from a legal standpoint and there is already a Jason-inspired killer in the game anyway.

Stop expecting every killer from every horror movie to appear. They should only do licensed killers if their power is compatible with the game's existing mechanics.

Not every killer but a lot of them could fit. Pinhead is my top pick and I'd want a power that involves hooks

  • They could maybe do Chucky if Tiffany would appear for carrying survivors since she's in a human body, he could pull out the amulet and transform. I think they have a slightly better shot at getting 2009 reboot Jason than jason classic due to the legal morass that may be looser towards the reboots like freddy was. 2009 Jason is way more proactive and fits dbd better IMO, plus never made it into the F13TH game

It took a year before a streamer tried him, one that's already good at the game and knows how a killer works, plays a very boring playstyle and pips because Wraith was always good at pipping and that's it, and that's how that streamer determines killer viability. Legion does the exact same thing but no-one in their right mind would say Legion is good. If we're basing it on the ranking system he's the best killer in the game.

Genrushes are boring too so that's a poor argument

  • @scat said:

He's better now you just like to complain to no end because that's all this community does when updates happen

Honestly it's the only way to get anything in the game fixed, they only pay attention to survivors because they complain so much

  • @NDwight88 said:

They recently reworked him as he has an 80% kill rate, which was insane compared to other killers. Ghost face is another one in the list due to his busted break out of stealth mechanic. Both will likely be tweaked or reworked, along with Billy. There's a reason so many new killers opt for gf,frederick, or billy.

Those stats are crap and counts dcs as kills, the devs themselves said to ignore them

Your not wrong, but your not right. Ruin was orginally used for the map RNG and to get a few hooks before the first gen. There was a time Ruin was not popular. It was popular streamers saying "you need Ruin as killer to win".

Then the pip system changed the red rank emblems for killer basically require you to get 4 kills which is quite contradictory to the Dev's idea of balance. So when this happened Ruin was becoming popular, but then exploded onto the scene of every game.

So while a lot of people who didn't need Ruin won't suffer any additional issues from the nerf. The new players who are say around rank 10 just making there way to red ranks first time where Survivors start to understand the game better will actually suffer. All this will do is create a artificial gap in Killer difficulty.

Without Balacing Maps as well they will eventually need to rework every killer yet again. When maps becomes "balanced and moderately sized" On a large map a Killer without map pressure can lose a gen just by walking to it, but at the same time the Devs go "this is your fault as killer for not pressuring Gens" how do you pressure a gen you couldn't physically get to in time at spawn?

Also speaking of the balance of 2k that's a horrible idea. At high ranks that effectively means you have weakened every killer. Meaning while survivors remain the same in terms of power. Killers have been forcibly weakened. What are the Dev's planning to do? Make it so only 2 survivors are allowed to leave at the end? First come first serve? One Survivor per Exit gate? Otherwise it's unbalanced.

Seriously though if they had Balanced it between 2.7 and 3.2 for Kill averages with Balanced Maps. It means a killer who performs wells is likely to get a 3k or even 4k, but with a perfect average of a 2k it means at best with the same level of skill vs the same survivors they will only get a 2k unless the group screws up significantly. At this point why would you play killer knowing that you have been forced this artificial barrier?

This is all debating at high ranks, but the Devs want to focus on low ranks for new players. So what if the balanced of killers will be for low rank only of 2k. Imagine how much the killers will need to be weakened.

"On a large map a Killer without map pressure can lose a gen just by walking to it, but at the same time the Devs go "this is your fault as killer for not pressuring Gens" how do you pressure a gen you couldn't physically get to in time at spawn?"

That's 70% of the problem and survivors just dismiss it as "lol just don't be trash", it's the most annoying part of the debate since most killers just lose if they walk to the wrong gen first

  • @kurgan8282 said:

why not trying to learn to play better, instead?

Freddy got nerfed already, like most of the killers abilities...

what you guys want? be 100% sure that killers can't kill?

That is EXACTLY what survivors want and all of these stupid "NeRF KilLeR!!" posts prove it daily

  • @ClickyClicky said:

I think he will receive a slight nerf at some point. He definitely seems to be overperforming and a lot of popular killer streamers are talking about how easy it is to 4k as him.

I don’t mind playing against Freddy too much and he’s certainly far better than old Freddy was to play against, however just like Spirit a few months back Freddy is now massively overused. Every other game will be a Freddy game.

IF he was given a nerf, I’d love to see his gen slowdown add ons not stack with perks or be replaced by something else because forever freddy is still as dull as watching paint dry even after it received a nerf. Also get rid of that damn non-directional lullaby. He doesn’t need it. It makes sense on Huntress because she’s slow as hell and its 45m. Freddy is 32m and a fast killer so he doesn’t need that excuse to be able to sneak up on survivors unaware.

In terms of his powers I don’t really have a problem.

Forever freddy doesn't even work, they still pounded gens out really fast before that totally unneeded addon nerf

  • Good start, I like the scaling

No you can say whatever you want do whatever you want.... Sadly

    This is a dangerous precedent

  • We REALLY should've gotten a Leatherface buff instead of spirit and nurse nerfs

  • And they weren't nearly as oppressive as the rank 20s complained either

  • @PapiQuentin_ said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1007982#Comment_1007982

No he doesn't. He has better anti loop than Clown. He has map pressure. He completely counters BT. He has slowdown add ons

Not to mention that he has some scary perk and add on combinations. Freddy has so many perk builds that work with him. Pop, Ruin, Corrupt, DL, Thana, Nurse's, Surge and more.

He no way in hell needs a buff.

Dude I was talking about Leatherface 🤨

  • Understandable, he was my first p3 since he needed block addons so badly to function. I stuff liked playing him and the slowdown was awesome, it was just way too easy to wake up. New Nightmare feels like an engine of destruction and even if you get no kills it feels good to play

  • I'm playing him now, the nemesis pwyf combo makes him decent again. He badly needs a lot of buffs

  • Old freddy was fun but so weak and unsatisfying

  • Do the snares even do anything? I never notice any slowdown

  • @mmain said:

I agree with the title. I don't think Freddy is fun to play against. At the same time I don't think there is anything OP about him or unfair in any way. For me the whole sleep/awake thing with alarm clocks and all that just makes matches against Freddy feel like a different game, and it's just one I don't enjoy as much.

Of course my biggest reason for not enjoying Freddy matches is I because I have always been a huge Nightmare on Elm Street fan, and that was mainly because of Freddy. The reason I loved Freddy is because he wasn't your typical horror film killer. He made jokes. He had personality. There is really no way to convey that in DBD. Portraying Freddy without being able to portray his personality does the character an injustice.

I do realize there is really no way for BHVR to put his personality in the game. I'm not saying he shouldn't be there. I just don't think a dispassionate killer is true to the character, and as a huge fan it makes him feel like an impostor in a Freddy costume.

It's reboot freddy, very different personality who doesn't talk as much. Still would be fun if we got classic freddy with a few lines like Ash.

I'm understand bro, but I'm pass the stage of anger. It's just disappointing to me now.

Especially getting trolled every match for hours in red ranks and then having to see all the "omg killer's too strong" posts from people with an hour of experience

Another thread about nerfing a killer because a survivor can't bully them. *yawn*

It's starting to really enrage me

  • Moris are the last actual horror in the game, never touch them

  • You can have 2 gens done before the first person falls asleep

  • There is no such thing as an overpowered killer, learn to play instead of begging for nerfs

  • Try working on gens that are spread out, when they're done he can't warp to that part of the map anymore and you can cut his power off

  • Lol no wonder the gamd is going downhill so fast. I escape freddy all the time and don't have to put much thought into it

  • Stay awake, rush gens. The game is so heavily in your favor with gen times I have zero sympathy.

  • Just let the killer know facecamping is a losing strategy

  • @ProfessorDunwich said:

They are worse than ever for me. I suspect it is a combination of the new matchmaking system that goes by the highest ranked survivor in the group and a lack of killers due to the constant nerfs. I think the Ruin nerf was the final straw for a lot of people playing killer.

I know people that quit already, I'm tempted myself but I've got too much invested unfortunately

  • Because it's a thing toxic troll teams love to set up and strongly indicates that's what you're up against. Many survivors play just because it's easy to get away with trolling the killer

  • Anything scummy is fair game for survivors apparently

  • @andyollolloll said:

As killer or survivor I play to win.

As killer you should be the terrifying overpowered monster.

As survivor I should be wanting to get out but want to hide from when he comes close.

This is what you would expect however BHVR are balancing the game that 2 escape and new players have an easy experience?😆

The top rank survivors are then playing easy mode so walk all over the killer.

Add solo survivors aren't balanced with swf comms and you're not even trying to do the basics except for this ...

Trying to give the music and feeling of terror but always be able to be one step ahead and it's you that gets punished if you make a mistake.

The magic is in the terror but nobody but new players are hiding and crouching, they are walking around, doing a gen/unhook in the killers face as they have ds,bt,sb,dh...

The game gives an impression of fear when the killers aren't op but the survivors.

How can people care to be a killer or even survivor when you work this out playing the game regularly

For me its about filling a role. I collect horror stuff and want to play like the movie killers if I've been seeing or talking about the movies recently. Most of the original killers fit horror archetypes that cover other movies, like I watched Scarecrows (1989) and wanted to play Wraith with that cosmic, or when I watched Slasher: Solstice this summer and picked up The Legion. Now that I'm p3 on Hillbilly I want to see the Wrong Turn series. I like this game because it's similar to The Cabin in the Woods conceptually and I love that. However having all these amazing characters be so weak and clownable takes away most of the fun. I view matches as the third act of a movie set at the Cabin, will they make it out?! Often yes with little effort, it spoils the whole thing that makes the game fun. I started survivor recently and play it similarly, it's starting to be less exciting though because I don't feel particularly threatened most of the time and gens are sooo fast it feels like nothing. I primary play solo because the times I tried swf it was much less exciting.

  • This is off that gross post where the guy was like "I love getting owned and teabagged, losing is fun!!" but meant it? That's the most alarming thing I've seen here in awhile, it turned my stomach so badly. "If you play killer, shut up and take all the abuse we wish to dish out, and smile about it!" was the real message in there. Intense sub pain pig energy.

  • So you're bad at survivor, what does that prove?

  • @IridescentGatekeeper said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1006562#Comment_1006562

No I think this game was designed casually (generator times and maps) and hasn't been adjusted for "sweatier" play.

Healing people so they don't go down in a single hit is a natural thing to do and the developers factor time sinks like that into the generator times.

Think they thought that far ahead eh

  • Marth wasn't totally boosted like noob

  • Yeah they die while the 2 rank 1s do all the gens, breaks all your totems and troll at the gate, if not following you around with a flashlight to prevent you from hooking anyone as best they can. Pretty much everything you've said reads like a bait post

  • I'm not laughing at the matchmaking lol

  • @Apple2o said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1007471#Comment_1007471

SWF means almost nothing. Most SWF is an advantage as a killer, because it means the rank 1-5's will be carrying along a rank 15 or close with them, who is a super easy target. It is very rare you actually hit a full stack of 4 rank 1 survivors.

    Woooooooow lol

  • @Waffleyumboy said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1007301#Comment_1007301

I have yet to see an optimal swf beat 100 optimal killers in a row. Link and I'll follow the herd.

    Wasn't Marth's record 295 escapes without perks

  • And you get one static blast every what, 50 seconds at best? It's so stupid

  • @ClickyClicky said:

If I could delete one map from the game it would be Rotten Fields. It offers nothing.

If you're Hillbilly it's a grand time otherwise agree. I think I hate Crotus Prenn Disturbed Ward much more though

  • @SnakeSound222 said:

I wish they would’ve mentioned his new shock cooldown and made his affliction add-ons work at Madness I to compensate for the Snap Out of It nerfs.

Do the devs really want Madness II to be stronger than Madness III? Hell, I would’ve liked to see reasons for why they gutted Snap Out of It. I now can understand having it bring you down to tier 1, but not the other changes (progress bar doesn’t reset, skill checks only appear at certain times, and missing a skill check doesn’t reset the bar). Those changes are making Snap Out of It a minor inconvenience just like Deep Wound. If a Survivor can’t hit those massive skill checks, then it’s their fault and they need to get good. Coddling them is a terrible solution.

    EXACTLY

  • Make the power not end right away when you miss, it wrecks the pallet vault if they double backon you since auto aims jerks the attack into the pallet 90% of the time. Get the old stabbiness back and make the movement speed slightly faster and last longer. Pretty much my only issue with the power is that you don't feel like as much of an athletic psychopath as you did in the original version of frenzy
