lmao shes not slow at all, wasting oxygen on people like you is pointless :clown:
The hag moves at 4.4m/second, most killers move at 4.6m/s; look at the in-game info on their character pane under "Movement Speed". You beclowned yourself.
-
If she moved at 4.6 you'd probably be better at judging lunge distance in chase
-
Honestly this post about lunges appears everyday on facebook and having to see or debunk it every few hours is exasperating. It's the same lunge, everyone here explained why.

My point is her lunge is definitely longer than other killers, it's excessive and unneeded makes it to easy for that character
Jesus christ no it's not longer, just a visual illusion since her model is much smaller than other killers, along with her (unnecessarily) lower speed
-
Depends if they followed through
-
If they hug an object billy can't buzz them no matter what any addons he has, kinda like oni's terrible attack. Billy's pretty fair and you basically have to stand still to get chopped. Unlike oni he can actually steer his power, which is nice but takes skill since he's going so fast

I think the only thing which would ever need a change would be insta saw since its basically just standing behind someone and getting a down but hopefully they add new effects. Like idk maybe something that allows your chainsaw to break pallets faster
It's still quite slow and takes tons of practice, Removing Tinkerer deleted all the instasaws in game

Nothing got "annihilated". Its now different from before, but nowhere near worse.
We'll see
-
You basically have no ammo with that addon even with the belt. The other drawback is your aim better be awesome
-
They said they took out the exhaustion in madness addons (the ring was some bs though)
-
I'd love to be wrong about it and will say so after a couple weeks (in case they nerf him further after release) but have zero confidence

Actually it's not.
They have confirmed they will reduce the 3s timer but to what we don't know as yet.
They have already reduced the time to shock which was bugged as it should be 1s.
Things do change constantly. They haven't ignored people as these were the two most problematic things about the doc change.
The reason the tier 1 change hasn't been mentioned as much as most don't see it as a major issue with how the new Doc works.
The Doctor is not ruined as he is a constant 115% killer now with no need to change stances. That alone makes a huge difference to his chase potential.
You will see what you want to but from how you speak it doesn't seem like you have even tested these out for yourself.
I'd say it's more about his old 3 gen potential needed looked at as not chasing turned it into holding the game hostage which is eventually bannable. Most reasonable players knew that had to be fixed regardless of rank as its was just a bad design that could punish a player just for using what the game offers. This also makes sense with the tier change in madness as that could also be used in a 3 gen scenario by good players.
What is this "taking the game hostage with his power" business I've never heard of before?

Why do you think he got annihilated? I hink he's as strong, but the skill cap got lowered, I. E. You can still do as well, but you don't need as much practice to master him
Very long cooldowns on all his powers, good addons removed, static blast being a weaker and slower version of static field; etc. I hate it all so much, doc was my first main and favorite original killer. And a shock therapy with a cooldown so long it was faster to switch stances and attack.
-
It probably takes longer for static blast to recharge than it did for them to tier up just standing in your field, which isn't necessarily what mainly I used it. Better hope you don't blow it in the wrong corner of the map and have to play without your power while 3 gens pop off
-
That's the only good part of the doctor update sadly; it's a beautiful map in every way but the doc himself got annihilated
-
There's no reason to think they aren't just lying about adjusting the times in live; I hate this sooo much, even more than Ruin nerf. I was foolish enough to think maybe they'd listen to the doctor players in the ptb, but this just confirms to me they didn't adjusted or fix any of it. I want to enjoy the sweet new map but oof
-
@twistedmonkey said:
This change has been on the ptb since it came out.
Everyone except low tier survivors hated the details of mist of the changes and they ignored all the feedback. From the doctor post on the main page it looks like doc is going live exactly as he was day 1 ptb, along with all the problems previously discussed.
-
@ad19970 said:
He's still much better now, since his chase potential is now actually good. In my opinion.
It also helps against hostage doc. They should have just made it so that addon effects also affect survivors in madness level 1, but to a lesser degree. I would have liked if they increased the time to snap out of it slightly or if they decreased the cooldown of static blast slightly. But I think this change is actually healthy for the game.
"Hes better and healthier because [debunked claims countered in every other doctor post]"
We get it, survivors are happy because he's easier to escape and they have to do fewer skillchecks, it's so viscerally repulsive
-
@Guiltron said:
I like how you guys act like the Snap Out changes murdered him, while turning a blind eye to the stance removal which made him more viable during chases.
Dude the long cooldown they put after using shock therapy is at least 20% longer than it took to switch stances and swing. No more pallet stun shock. The extra speed won't matter
-
It doesn't say any of the cooldown times, assumedly on purpose in the hopes nobody would notice. If they left that in though I doubt they took any feedback into consideration. Which really sucks because as incredible as the new map looks it's impossible to be happy about it since such extreme nerfs to my favorite og killer come with it.
-
Crazed laugher and filthy language mostly
-
Love how you ignore that the new ruin has this exact same problem while doing literally less to affect the game than thrill of the hunt

Seriously...there is times when all you deserve is a 3k because the gens were done and you couldn’t stop the last guy from opening a well deserved gate. Or even if they find the hatch that’s fair enough. BUT why the hell does the freaking hatch spawn when the survivors did littearly 0%of their ONLY objective (which could be done insanely quickly especially with new ruin) and still escape. Even if you are the one who finds the hatch first the game still gives a chance to the last potato and powers the gates, and most of the time you get there it’s already opened and you see the last trashbag survivor tbaging at the gate like they won, but again they did freaking NOTHING. A game where the killer completelly dominates (which is thanks to the survivors being bad) shoulnd never end with anyone escaping. They littearly get TWO more chances to get away and it’s just dumb. I advise that, the hach should only spawn from 2 gens like before. Being able to close it was not a trade off but necesarry. There is no reason for it to spawn when nothing is done.
And they always send "ez trash killer *****" messages even though their points show they just hid all match

And then I'm still feeling the sting of them knee jerking to launch Freddy. I felt like i dodged a bullet not buying him, especially when it took them a year to go back and change him to a Killer that can actually interact with survivors throughout the match. I also heard about what they changed with the latest killer oni. Haven't actually played against him enough to even know if the change was warranted.
Oni was pretty bad to start and they legit made him worse
-
Survivors need more nerfs to make things even, completely unsympathetic
-
Gens are so fast in most games it doesn't matter what perks you have, who you pick or how you play you'll just lose as killer. This holds all the way up the ranks to top tier play. You have to hope they don't find gens too quickly or start messing around for no reason. If they just do gens and ignore chests and totems most killer characters literally cannot physically stop them

Imagine playing someone like the Clown/Hag/Myers and people telling you to just "apply more pressure" so Survivors aren't on multiple Gens across the map.
Oh wait. They do. How do you do that? I dunno. No one does.
The pressure argument sounds just like the "why don't poor people just buy more money?" meme
-
@newavitar said:

"Just apply pressure" is an overused and often incorrect suggestion to make. Some killers are literally unable to apply the pressure they need to effectively stop gens without tunneling or camping. This is why Ruin was necessary, because it slowed the gens so that their pressure was possible. New ruin is literally useless to over 50% of the killers in the list because they do not have the mobility to effectively push survivors off the gens so that Ruin can be used. So telling people to "just apply pressure"? They can't. Literally, over 50% of then just can't. And then everyone will complain that they only see hillbilly and the occasional Nurse and Spirit. Once hillbilly gets nerfed prepare to see no killers since it'll be impossible to win coordinated, efficient teams.
Exactly this, saving it for faster rebuttals. The "apply pressure" crowd are as deluded as climate deniers in their arguments that ignore the factors causing the problem in the first place
-
I like all the badham maps now, they feel much fairer and I have way more exciting games on most of them. And totems actually have some decent spots sometimes
-
Plausible deniability for a lot of the random nonsense they insert into patches, or possibly it's originally written in French and translated imperfectly
-
Because most of the base times for power cooldowns and charge are very, very high in comparison. If everyone was buffed to have their default times be what they are with all their common charge/cooldown addons applied (while keeping the addons in game) the game would be much healthier. For killers like nurse the power was intentionally made extremely weak to justify the use of addons to patch it, since they otherwise had no ideas for addon effects

So... Let's stick to "every time we play killer we're gonna face a 4 men SWF with toolboxes"? It's not usual man, and about the builds, you need to pick a build to KILL the survivors, not random perks for you to have fun... Strategy
I'm both red ranks in killer and survivor, I play as Trapper and GF main, are you telling me I'm having "good luck"...?
EDIT: I forgot the Demi, yes, go against a red ranks P3 Demi and tell me how it goes for you
On console you can play for 12 hours straight and exclusively go against the 4man swf toolbox teams. I can't take anyone who thinks it's "rare" seriously
-
Lol what a poor comparison
-
Indifferent since oni is a pretty bad killer
-
@Apple2o said:
Go up against some rank 1-2 killers playing meta builds on killers like freddy or spirit, and you will be wishing you could rush the gens even faster.
Most killers who complain about gen rushing are just focusing one guy the entire match instead of spreading the damage, which is how you should be playing.
This is what gen rushing actually is, by the way:
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/620/PAUQWHB7IKC1.png
Unless the survivors you are facing are rocking a build like this, you are probably just not applying enough pressure.
This is the "It was cold today lol" response to climate change but for Dead by Daylight of arguments

Doesn't matter what those posts are about really. Peanits gave their reasoning, people didn't like it. Doesn't matter if those 90% of those people think it is nonsense, since it was the reasoning BHVR used.
I still want Mathieu fired for that, I lost most of my respect for the devs over it.

I think the Ruin change is mostly good. No matter the rank, there is a good chance you'll have teammmates that simply can't or won't work through it. I also have much more fun in survivor games when Ruin isn't there. If there is a game speed problem, the devs need to see it without a bandaid over it before they can truly address it.
That being said, I caution against what seems to be a trend towards balancing for the lowest common denominator. In any multiplayer game I've ever played, a large portion of the playerbase will somehow find and live at the skill floor, regardless of how low the floor is. You can keep lowering the acceptable floor, but then players won't improve.
"There's no problem lol" is what panderers to that LCD say

It's a garbage change that from what I can tell is universally hated by everybody with a deeper understanding of the game. Get ready for those survival rates to either skyrocket and for queue times to skyrocket, as killer goes from being tolerable back to being the biggest joke since Adam Sandler's career.
Adam Sandler CAN be good, Uncut Gems is kicking maximum butt right now

Looking at all the survivor players loving even easier games at the expense of everyone that's likes fair matches as killer makes me pretty sick to my stomach. As a new survivor ayer who can't even hit great skillchecks Ruin was pretty easily countered or worked through despite slowing things down

Looks like you are also stupid enough to not know that the ruin nerf also goes live next week.
And it also seems that you are so stupid that you didn't even bother to look around threads and see that Peanits already explained the ruin nerf.
If you read that post it's 90% people pointing out how the reasoning peanits gave is utter nonsense, and since it's an older it doesn't say how they're feeling about it NOW after the backlash

K well I'll continue to ruin the game for players, you continue to enjoy long wait times and when this games player pool gets so low that you can't join a match anymore. We will all move on to the next game. Fair?
Survivors have to worry about waittimes because their crying over easily countered tactics are getting killers nerfed so hard that most of them are quitting. I'll be getting instant ques as one of the few high rank killers
-
I figured they'd at least make some jokes about "ruining our day" to tip off how unremorsefully little they care about us
-
They're noticing the devs hate them and feeling discouraged, especially the newer players. Surprised they even stayed in that game

Welcome to normal killer gameplay, now with 80% faster gen completion
