I love legion, but I think you are going a bit too far here. Eliminating the stun from missed attacks in FF and being able to see scratch makes I think would give him an appropriate boost.

Because playing to win leads to massive complaints on both sides. When you have no rewards to ranking up but more of the same gameplay and strategy issues that won't go away, then it's time to examine your game modes.
Since when should someone complaining make me not want to win? Why would anyone do anything at that point, let alone play a game? Everyone should just ignore the salty people and the devs should base changes on statistics and by studying game play.
-
I don't understand what playing casual means. Shouldn't everyone play to win? Maybe I'm too competitive but I don't see the point of playing unless I'm trying hard.

Their is no interaction while she's phasing besides bumping into her and that's an instant lose if you bump into her. There is no hope as a survivor because you have no info. I'm not saying give the survivors all the info but she needs to show more. Because again the spirit is over performing. When it's constant 3ks and 4ks it's over performing. The ideal is constant 2ks. Remember you can still win as a killer even if people escape it's a casual game. (I count a win as long as it's a pip.)
Good luck pipping if people constantly escape.

You dont need to play Killer to unlock his teachables, just put BP in them up to lvl 40, which takes around 1.2M BP. Play your favorite with BBQ and it wont take long. You can wait for their perks in Shrine for ages.
Good point about not playing them. But I'm not in a big rush to get his perks either. It would be more to experiment than anything. I'm on switch so unfortunately BBQ isn't an option. But I've done fine without it so far ?

A lot of cosmetics can be bought with shards, so you dont need to pay.
I'm saving my shards for perks from plague and Myers, since I don't really have any desire to play those two.
-
@DocOnLoose said:
Do not bother with P3 character if you are not intended to use that cosmetic. Legion has more appealing cosmetics to use, why waste 8M bloodpoints just to get same clothes, but bloody?
It is understandable on characters which has no other cosmetics, like LF, Bill, Freddy, but for all others - waste of time. Also decision of P3'ing should be made as soon as you hit lvl 50, not when you already invested huge amount of time in getting all perks.
I don't pay for cosmetics. I just don't like to. So the only way if get something different is prestige.

As a switch player I feel that the numbers have been going down since the mid-chapter has been delayed. I hope after it is released the community will return so this won’t be as big of an issue.
Good point. I just get tired of playing the same people over and over, especially when the ranks are so different.

if you enjoy the game and play alot i recommend p3 anyone you like to play, if you decide to do it later on, its somewhat of a waste with all of the points you put into them after they hit 50
I'm definitely not putting any more into legion right now. I think I'll slowly save up bp till I get to a million and then do it. He's one of my favorite to play but he can be tough to do well with so I'll get my time out of him. I have other killers I play as well who I can use to farm bp.

Would a petition and a small bribe change the time line 💰😶

If you want a bloody killer, go for it. Since you don’t play him a lot though, why not try it out before jumping to a conclusion? It wouldn’t hurt to test out your build before shoving off to something else now would it?
Good point about the build and trying it out a bit more. I played one game with it and got a 3k (the damn hatch lol) and had a good time. I like the bloddy clothes but I guess I do have to weight the cost.
-
The only change I want is the missed FF attack issue. Don't end the power for a missed attack and he'd be all set.
-
I like it a lot. I just had 2 people DC and cost me a pip because of it.

Huh? That's not what I asked. Half his hits are free. Slap on sloppy butcher and thana and you've got survs injured all game or wasting time healing. Legion is fine. Most legions I see do fine. His stun breaking his frenzy is fine. It's not hard to bait a pallet drop.
What about the other half when the lag comes in and you miss the attack and the power gets broken and you suffer a 4 second cool down?

I want to be one, but it is hard

They do care Peanatis said that Freddy and Bubbas perks are baseline you don’t have to unlock them and if they don’t care why did this game survive for 3 years if they don’t care HUH
Wrong. But regardless, I'm happy the rift isn't on switch yet. Sounds like some people are having a bad time with it. And I'd rather wait for it to be released with some of the bugs ironed out first. The devs don't deserve all the flak they get for waiting

They over did it with the cooldown and vault speed nerfs
Yeah, I'm most bummed about the cool down

Including legion makes zero sense since it never got nerfed (you can't nerf something as bad as legion), they only tried make it less boring for survivors, which clearly they failed.

FF is not meant to kill people, it is meant to delay them. We had the same issue with Pig's RBTs. Players expected to kill people with them, but their true purpose is to delay players while they look in the Jigsaw boxes for keys.
So there must be potential cost to the Killer if he fails the hit since FF's true power is to delay, and it should not be without risk.
The risk is too steep though is what I think most of us are saying. I don't believe I should be able to swing one after the other in FF but to completely blow the power and suffer a 4 second cool down is just too much. A lot happens in 4 seconds .

most games i get with killers dont go for longer matches they want to get a 4k as quick as possible and dont get as much player rank xp as opposed to if they were in the game longer actually hooking everyone at least twice and damaging pallets and gens..
So your only argument is against moris? Because the way for the killer to win is to get kills; it's in the name. And the quicker they get kills, the fewer gens get done, which awards gate keeper points. I'm not going to go around smashing pallets while survivors walk around doing whatever they please.

never said that I was talking about killer who strictly kill rush and dont span games out by camping etc.. you know what i meant...
Actually, I don't know what you mean. I can't tell if you are trolling by saying survivors are under powered or just don't know what you are talking about. Mori and certain add ons for killer are certainly too strong in my opinion. But as a whole, survivors have it easier.

This game is really getting on my nerves with all the lack of validation towards survivors obviously being at a disadvantage. I would love to hear how survivors aren't disadvantaged other than the excuse that there are 4 survivors and 1 killer.....Fragrant tuft of hair shouldnt be a thing, the add ons for killers are insane compared to the survivors....there are no unique survivor add ons theyre all contiguous among every survivor character....combined with the toxicity of the community who main killer this game is really forcing me to distance myself from it.
Matches where killers play for kills and dont actually accrue points are such a waste of time and they just do it to get under people's skin.
Killers aren't supposed to go for kills? Wow, I've been playing this game wrong the whole time

Hey! @EverflowingRiver , I’ve been a Legion main since day one of their PTB release and still continue to play them to this day. I’ve got this neat little guide I made awhile back that could help you out in figuring out what’s good for Legion in their current state! Give it a look if you’re still looking for some answers. :D

That was some good reading. I like the idea of everyone always being injured. That's what appealed to me in the first place when trying out legion. But I've been stuck in purple ranks with him forever 😐

But why exactly does an ability that cannot down has a 4 second stun as well as multiple other downsides still need to be punished for missing?
You said it all bromigo.

@Almo said:
The pins are a known issue, and will be fixed "soon". I can't comment on when, but it's not far off.
Regarding the missed hit, it's necessary to create counterplay. We don't want FF trigger to be a guaranteed hit. The Survivors need ways to avoid it, if we wish to keep its high speed.
They could put in the normal missed swing cool down and make the ability more viable while still giving survivors a fair chance.
-
@Monlyth said:
@Almo Personally, I have two gripes with the Legion. I hate that if you miss a swing while in FF, you immediately lose the whole duration and go on cooldown.
It feels way too punishing to me; missing a single swing at the wrong time can mean the difference between injuring 2-3 survivors and inflicting Deep Wounds on all of them, or injuring zero survivors while losing a lot of ground against the survivor you were just chasing.
Also, I have to ask: Why do add-ons like Smiley Face Pin exist? They encourage you to play Legion badly. You have to chase down the survivor you just hit (Even though their Deep Wounds timer won't tick down unless you break off the chase), AND you have to waste the entire duration of your FF to get a second hit on the injured survivor. All that, just to apply the Blindness effect for 1 minute.
Please rework add-ons like Smiley Face Pin to be useful, and please make it so missing an attack doesn't cost you the entire duration of FF.
The missed hit penalty is the biggest thing I want changed about Legion for the reason you mentioned above. It over penalizes misses

Because their power makes it incredibly easy to injure someone, and it adds more time they have to spend off of generators (to mend). If survivors don't heal themselves, then Legion only gets the mending and detection part of their power, which isn't very strong in most scenarios. However, if survivors do decide to heal themselves, Legion's power shines as they're able to quickly undo the effort the survivors put into healing themselves as well as apply deep wounds.
Basically, healing makes using Legion's ability more cost effective. It's just not efficient to use their power on injured survivors.
I see

I like to run Fire Up, Brutal Strength, BBQ, and a fourth perk (can be STBFL, Thanataphobia, Ruin, whatever else you want). You can also trade BBQ for something else, but I like the bloodpoints.
I'd stay away from perks that give the survivors incentive to avoid healing, such as Sloppy Butcher. Legion benefits from people healing, and more skilled players aren't going to heal against you if it takes 20 seconds to heal one person. NOED also isn't the best because survivors that don't heal won't really be affected by it.
Why does healing benefit Legion?

Why aren't they already in the game? Licensing issues?
I believe so but idk for sure.

I'd rather get Freddy and Bubba to the switch before the archives or any holiday event but that's just me.
-
I'll probably put ruin and pop in just to see how it goes a couple rounds and take out whispers and NOED.

I will take a look at some of these suggestions. I have pop already so I can give that a try at least. Thanks for the tips.

I play on switch. BBQ ain't an option.

Yeah, as of 30 min ago on the switch I didn't see BBQ. Ruin was on there though which was nice to pick up since I'm not about to dump points into hag.

This statement is fundamentally wrong.
Let me tell you why.
1.) It isn't a free win with Nurse. I don't know how many times I can type this but if you play Nurse they don't just fall on the ground and you get hooks. You have to use her skillfully and read, position, and time your swings + blinks right or you are going to miss and going to extend the chase.
2.) She is literally the only killer I can play where 2 gens aren't done in the first minute of the game. Why? Well simply put she's actually a threat and she can actually get to the gens faster than it takes to walk across the map. Both of these things are going to suffer with the change.
So yeah. I'm not going to try and play this game when every single match ends up being the same toxic genrush because that's what the gameplay has (de)evolved into.
There is a reason they have to get 5 gens done to win. I go into each game and know that I can't stop a couple from being popped. I don't go in there thinking that if I can't get an instant hook then it's not worth playing. Patrol the remaining gens properly and it will be a good match.
-
Actually I'm a millennial myself 🙃 just one that hates their generation.
-
@coppersly said:

No, I'm just going to leave. It's not a big spectale or anything but I can't play this game anymore if the only killer who's got an answer is not going to have it anymore.
If I want to play frustration sim I'll boot up DbD again but I play games to have FUN not stress sweat for 4 minutes while survivors be toxic and abuse the game.
So you are saying you won't play unless you can easily win with no effort? Millennials
-
I have to respectfully disagree with those who say don't hop on a gen right away. If you have proper situational awareness, plan an escape route ahead of time, and are confident in your running game, then there should be no issue starting in a gen right away.
-
Ghostface, pig, Myers, legion, demo, and plague have to be bought separate though.

The Devs already took a stand that DC = ban.
This means they NEED to take a stand that Anything = DC = Ban. (Anything that equates to DCing ALSO equals a ban)
This means things like delibrately dying on first hook. This can easily be fixed by removing that hated Struggle mechanic.
Make Struggling automatic, and remove the ability to give up. Fixed. People can't suicide. People hate the Struggle mechanic anyways.
That's what I'm saying, it's a simple step towards a more fun game. It doesn't completely solve the problem of suicide but it delays it.

Are you a Spirit Main or maybe a Freddy? Those are the only killers I ever see my survivor mates kill themselves on the hook against. May the Iridescent Huntress too. Some people just can't handle the challenge. It's kinda sad. You are never going to get better that way.
I play as Huntress (normal hatchet) and Ghostface. You are right though, quitting is no way to get better.
