I assume all Nurse players on console are either doing a daily.... or they lost a bet.
-
I don't think trails should cause you to lose movement, personally.
-
I've been saying for months gaps need a hard cap of 30 minutes, total. If a game happens to hit the 30-minute mark, the Entity immediately devours every Survivor and the Killer wins.

The reason why the devs are usually blamed so much is because they are the only ones who can actually make changes to this game, and a lot of times they let echo chambers cloud their judgment and end up nerfing things that don't need to be nerfed, survivor or killer.
There is nothing we can do but complain as a community and call them out on the mistakes they sometimes make because otherwise they won't change. I'll bet you money that BBQ gets nerfed in the near future because survivors keep complaining about it even though it has a easy counter (getting into a locker for like 2 seconds).
That leads to my next point, which is how are killers not supposed to see the devs as survivor-biased? Almost every decision they make seems to point towards that direction. I'm not saying that they never nerf survivor perks, but it seems like they always nerf killers/and their perks even more.
Why the hell is Undying getting nerfed to the ground & DS/OoO isn't even though its been complained about for a long time now? Didn't survivors wants more objectives anyway? I just dont understand the mentality.
Disclaimer: I will say that the devs should not be shamed & harassed because they try their best to make everyone happy even if it sometimes doesn't work out like that.
And Almo flat out said: "I don't care about Decisive Strike."
Something something statistics.
-
A Mori is just a self-inflicted 14 second stun now.
-
I didn't play the Twins when they came out, but from what I have read about them any excitement people had for them that bought the DLC at full price were hugely let down by game-breaking bugs that made them unplayable when they came up.

That’s why I shut off my breaker box before I queue up survivor.
My man! No training wheels for you!
-
I had a game last night where my wife and I queued together. We entered an Autohaven map, and our Killer was a Plague.
The Killer found me in about 15 seconds, and we began a heavy chase that lasted over a minute. After that minute I was hooked, and immediately the two potatoes (who didn't get a single generator done) both DC within ten seconds of each other.
They weren't even hit! I was! They never even encountered the Killer. The Killer felt so bad for us, that after she knocked us both down and asserted her dominance (fair), she let us go out of pity. If she hadn't, we both would have depipped. Now I know "rank doesn't matter" but I think it matters just enough that I shouldn't drop because my teammates are DC'ing cowards.
-
A good survivor doesn't need exhaustion perks.
A good survivor doesn't need Decisive Strike.
A good survivor doesn't need a mouse.
A good survivor doesn't need a monitor.
Everyone knows good survivors only need the Force to play.

Clearly not, since it doesn't completely get rid of the survivors objective, does it make it easier to escape? yes. But they still need to work for it.
The Key user doesn't though. There is no requirement for it. You could have Dwight Do-Right kicking ass on gens, get tunneled to oblivion while the Keymaster is doing their best cosplay of a bush on Claudette, and then dip out.

It's the Killer getting tired of your bull@#$%.

229 hours really ain't that much when it comes to this game. And you may have played survivor for the majority of your hours but that's still not saying much.
It's enough to know how a #$%ing Key works.

You're only Devotion 1 Level 1. Meaning I'm assuming you have about 100-200 hours and well Rank 5 isn't very impressive to most.
Up to 229 hours, actually. And now I'm Rank 4, and in Red Ranks.
I think I have made my point. I definitely can say I am immune to the claim of "you clearly don't play Survivor"

Are you serious, dude?
Of course there's red rank killers on console. But we get robbed of easy hits by BS aim dressing, 360 exploits, and fps drops all the time. I couldn't play Doctor for like a year because his fps issues were so bad. We can and will blame our equipment, because mouse and keyboard are better than controller to begin with, and we also have to deal with BHVR's ineptitude with making a decent console port. For example, me rapidly zooming in and out of Deathslinger's sights will cause bad fps. It's the smallest of things, even just playing on Midwich or Lerys, that causes the fps to drop. We're asking for 60 fps. BHVR can't even give us 30! Whatever PS4 SpookNJukes has must be godlike, either because it's a PS4 pro or he tampered with it. There is no other way you're playing an optimized version of this game on base PS4. Mine doesn't even sound like a jet engine and DBD still runs poorly. The MAIN MENU SCREEN, where it says press X, has FPS DROPS when I press X. That's when you know you're dealing with a ######### console port. GG, devs.
https://youtu.be/rYy4ffa-bQIHere he is playing on a PS4 without issues. You tell me. He even toggles to view his PSN messages.

Do.... do you think patch notes come out every day? o.O

Nonsense, pc killers have the advantage of mouse and keyboard, thats all. This affects how quickly and accurately you can aim, and keep flick. Whoever you're talking about might be a great slinger, but he would be much better if he put the same hours in on pc. It's just a fact. Huntress, hillbilly, slinger, blight, nurse, oni, and to a lesser extent victor and Bubba all suffer this way. You just cannot turn a joystick as quickly or accurately as you can move a mouse.
And yet all these Red Rank Console Killers exist despite this claim of yours that is a "fact".

I guess you could say these topics are getting tunneled.

This is a garbage claim.
Plenty of Red Rank Killers are on console. SpookNJukes runs this game on his PS4 without any issues and I see him nail Gunslinger shot after Gunslinger shot.
Quit blaming your equipment.

I have to know.... was he running Mad Grit?

Obviously, Decisive Strike should kill the Killer, instantly winning the game for the Survivors.

not as a killer, talking about survivor. usually it ends like guy gets tunneled out the game at 4 gens and it's basically unwinnable anymore if the killer is at least remotely decent
The original comment was "everyone". The Killer counts as everyone. I know this really really hard for Survivor mains to understand but the Killer is a player as well, and not just an AI bot.

Well so the camping Claudette that hid in a bush the whole game and then hopped In hatch with five gens remaining should rank up?
This right here. Let's not encourage more crouching-behind-the-rock-doing-nothing strategies.
-
It will never get removed from the game because the Devs have openly said they know people like doing it. When they were doing animation reworks players asked if this would hurt teabagging and they said no.
Personally I think an easy fix is to give the crouch a one-second cooldown.
-
The problem with new game modes is that people are already unhappy with the current queue times. If you had another game mode, you split the player base even further and increase wait times.

If you made it to gate opening as survivor you were succeeding in your objective. IE "earning" it.
If you made it to gate opening as killer you were failing your objective. IE "not earning" it.
You are viewing two things as synonymous that aren't because the two roles objectives are not the same.
Also, NOEDs issue isn't only whether it was earned or not. That is only part of its issue.
IE even if they were synonomous (they aren't) it still wouldn't contradict my point of NOEDs issue.
By the way, if you want to have a rational conversation with someone you disagree with, attempting to mock them doesn't exactly make them listen to your points nor does it make anyone take you seriously.
Your original claim that NOED kills are "not earned" is insane enough that I already wasn't taking you seriously. It's a garbage lie that gets floated around the forums because they have created this entirely arbitrary notion of what sorts of criteria are in play for what is or is not earned.
Like the faulty premise that all 5 gens being done means the Killer has "lost". The gens being done, or not, is entirely a Survivor sided objective. A Killer's job is to KILL, whether or not those four kills took place before or after the big BONG goes off at the last generator.
"f you made it to gate opening as survivor you were succeeding in your objective. IE "earning" it."
False. I have solo queued more than enough times were myself and one other Survivor did ALL the objectives ourselves to have some rock crouching potato do literally nothing all game. So no, he didn't "earn it".
"If you made it to gate opening as killer you were failing your objective. IE "not earning" it."
False. By the time the big BONG goes off I could have everyone on death hook, in the injured state. Or it could have gone off with one Survivor left after the other three are dead. Generators being done or not has no bearing on Killer skill OR him completing his objective. Some Killer builds REVOLVE around this phase of the game. It's literally why perks like Blood Warden exist.
"You are viewing two things as synonymous that aren't because the two roles objectives are not the same."
True, which is why trying to tie BOTH as a measure of pass/fail exclusively on the EGC is a fallacy.
NOED Killers are no different than any other Exposed effect, save that you gotta wait until the EGC. You are mad because it is based on Survivor actions going off rather than Killer actions, yet lots of other perks function this way as well.
NOED does not work unless I let you do 5 gens.
Devour Hope does not work unless I let you get unhooks.
Deathbound does not work unless I let you heal each other.
Rancor and Bitter Murmur must also then be "unearned" because they work when Survivors do gens. Golly gee, I guess those perks are only for bad killers that don't earn anything.
What NOED really is, is a counter to Adrenaline. That's what it is.

It's not a lie. Also, you're misunderstanding my point.
Even if they're already injured the speed increase from it serves the same point. So saying they still have to m1 is being disingenuous when they have a haste buff.
Are we really going to compare a NOED 1 hit down to Bubba or Billy chainsaws? Like really? Why you shouldn't be comparing these just seems completely obvious to me and anyone over 50 hours into the game.
Landing an m1 that is a one shot with a haste buff that you received not for you doing anything, but simply because the survivors were lazy is not earned.
I want to emphasize that I am not saying NOED is overpowered. I am saying that it's unhealthy design.
By that logic any Exit Gate openings done while under the effects of Hope or Wake Up! are not earned either.
U hAD a hAsTe bUfF!1!

I hate the Lullaby. I can handle it My teammates CAN'T. That makes me the designated Gen Jockey for the rest of the match, which will almost always lower my score cause I can't afford to go get Altruism or Boldness points.
@Blueberry said:
I dislike NOED as it gives kills that weren't earned. I also dislike it because it single handedly artificially inflates kill statistics.
This lie persists, I see.
A Killer gives up a perk slot for the entire game, then still has to land M1 hits, against targets that may very well likely already be injured ANYWAYS, and people say the Kills "are not earned".
Meanwhile, Bubba and Billy can M2 you instantly without a perk slot. /shrug
As far as I am concerned if the Killer hunted you down while everyone is racing for the Exit Gates and landed that M1, he earned it.
-
I have no idea what the point of OP's post is. Can someone translate it for me?
-
I didn't even read it. I assumed it was worthless feedback and the devs are going to ignore it and do whatever they were planning to do anyway.
-
When I see loops like that, I just walk away. You can't win the game just running around the bus. I'll go kill their friends.
-
If I die super fast, I leave and get a new match.
If we fought a great game and I wanna see if they make it, I spectate.
If my teammates were jerks, sandbags, or toxic towards the Killer, I'm out and just hope the Killer gets them.

You people obviously don't even play Survivor, because you're so clueless about how keys work.
You have to finish gens to escape with the key. That, or only one survivor makes it out alive. Originally you had to finish gens to escape even just for one survivor. They changed that with EGC.
"Obviously" I don't play Survivor. Clearly. Yup. Ya got me, Detective.
No, you don't have to do generators to get a Key to work. Besides the obvious trick of using it on an already closed hatch when the Killer goes to patrol exit doors, it is entirely possible to simply find a place to hide while your allies do just enough generators for the hatch to spawn, and then you escape without lifting a finger. I know, I've seen it happen many times.

Perks changes have nothing to do with a character's backstory. Apples and oranges.

Spine Chill. ALWAYS Spine Chill.

I live in California. My Survivor queue time is about three minutes and my Killer queue time is under thirty seconds.

Teabaggers have no right to complain about anything. They are trying to rile you up with their actions, but then get pissy when they succeed and you thrash them.

This happened to me on a Coldwind Farm map playing Freddy when I was new to the game. Three gen scenario, three super stealthers. Game took over half an hour to finish.

A lot of killers hate BT and Unbreakable because they are campers, tunnelers and sluggers
We hate those perks because they are overpowered and work in all situations. You don't have to camp, tunnel, or slug for those to be obnoxious.
-
I always jump on the first generator. Absolutely. This is not a stupid idea. You want to apply gen pressure as quickly as possible. If EVERYONE gets on a generator in this way the Killer is certain to disrupt at least one. You don't go straight from starting generator to the 3 gen. You need to do 5 of 7. There's plenty of wiggle room there.
Assuming I do not get interrupted, my pathing is:
Starting generator -> Center Building Generator -> Generator opposing my starting generator
I think willfully leaving a starting generator just to find a different one is a waste of time.
