Why did I leave a teammate behind?
Let's see.
- You teabagged the Killer and I want you to get what you deserve and I am not down with Survivor BM.
- You were a moron that got me hurt at least once.
- You failed a basic skill check on a generator I was working on.
- You wasted half the pallets in the game on one chase.
- You brought a Key.
- You wasted precious game time Self-Caring in the corner while the rest of us were playing the game.
- You did nothing to help me when I was on the hook and another teammate had to come get me.
How many reasons do you need, exactly?
-
If they can't loop you or teabag you at a pallet a Survivor isn't happy.
-
Due to likeness laws I deeply doubt it would look anything like Neve Campbell. We already got facially butchered versions of Quentin, Cheryl, et al.

Your a rank 16. You only play one side. Your already complaining about perks, that at your ranks, probably are barely even unlocked by the majority of survivors you face.
I'd recommend playing more and watching streamers less. Form your own opinions and stop regurgitating some streamers opines.
And please don't be one of those "us vs them" people. Toxicity exist on both sides.
I will absolutely "us versus them".
Survivors are the scumbags, and I say that as someone that plays 80% Survivor and mostly only do Killer matches for dailies because the mode is less fun the more I play it.
In all my matches as a Survivor I have never, EVER... not even ONCE... gotten salty nasty crap from a Killer in post-game chat. Not ever.
You know who does that crap? Survivors. I hate when I come out of a game and my "teammates" are treating the Killer like garbage. It makes me ashamed to even be associated with them.
-
It has to do with hit validation. What looks like where "you" are on your screen is not necessarily where "you" are on the Killer's screen. I've taken hits from Basic Attacks where I was easily two meters already on the other side of the window vault and still gotten downed.

So... you think Myers needs to be reworked more, but his add-ons are what an Iridescent should do? While Iri Head is exactly, by your definition (and mine as well), what an Iridescent shouldn't do?
No, flip that. Myers is what they should not do. Hatchet is what they should.

The best part about that though is that I did the best I could seeing as what you said had nothing to do with the conversation. Iri Head hatchets are infinite range, low cooldown low cost projectiles that are impossible to react to within something like 5 meters. Plus, I was moving onto how you said Michael's add-ons are more problematic, therefore the Exposed thing was stupid to bring up without a separate point for that.
The core question of the thread is what needs to be reworked more. My argument is that the Hatchets do not need a rework as it just lets Huntress do what many people with Exposed already do. Myers forces a gameplay design and roots you into a niche instead of being just better all over, which in my opinion an Iridescent should do.
-
All Trapper traps out in the wild should start the game readied and open.
From there Trapper's set-up should be moving them to places he wants them to be.

Tombstone isn't Exposed. Iri Head isn't Exposed. Tombstone is a free kill, Iri Head is an infinite range free down. Neither can be considered the Exposed effect. All Exposed effects have very strict timers and restrict it to basic attacks.
Insta-downs and Exposed are the same net result: you go down even if you are in the Healthy state. That's a weird nitpick you went for that doesn't actually make a lick of difference.

Plus couldn't the same thing be said about Tombstone Piece for Myers? What makes Myers worse than Huntress.
The same could be said about ANY Exposed effect.

Neat? People also have probably been stockpiling them since Huntress came out, but Ig everyone uses them the second they can. Also that means you did poorly, even if chases end quickly you should get over 20k.
This may shock you, but not everyone has been playing since 2016. Some people have been playing since November, as a random, non-specific example.

7000 BP when it gives at least 28000 BP back. Sure, buddy.
Last time I used it I got 18,000 and had over 60,000 BP worth of bloodweb back before I could start a new one.

Iridescent head is absolutely not fine. There are Huntresses who barely miss, and with the Infantry belt they need to miss 3 times to not get the benefit of Iri head. 3 misses out of a max of 3 for the penalty.
You also have to remember that it works from any range, including point-blank. It's basically Billy's chainsaw but it is a lot harder to miss, doesn't block the Killer's vision at all, doesn't have a penalty for missing, and can ignore pallets and windows.
And costs 7000 blood points per use, Billy's chainsaw is free.
-
Let me guess, you are mad new players can get old skins you were around for back in the good old days?
I will never understand why people need to own things others cannot get to feel good about themselves.
-
The Crouch function now has a 3 second cooldown and a 1 second animation.

to be fair, it's just as fast as another survivor hand healing, when you consider that takes 2 survivors off gens. Slightly faster if they'd go to the same gen.
True, but THAT doesn't cost a perk slot and isn't something you could do alone. So you get half the team fully healed for NO perk slots.

I use Self-Care all the time and constantly hear people say it's a bad perk and not to use it and I must suck at the game. I play solo and often never have a teammate try to heal me and when I need a medkit, all I can find are toolboxes and flashlights. If I take a medkit in, I end up using it on a teammate because I'm way too considerate to others. It saves me like 95% of the time.
The problem with Self-Care is that in a meta that runs a lot of Sloppy Butcher that sucker is like a 42 second healing timer. That is FOREVER. That's like half a generator completion, for ONE health state. It's just too time-consuming, in a game where time is a resource.

Yes. I'm aware "just do gens" but the person on the hook isnt having fun and im sure the experience of going against a face camper isnt fun for anyone. A suggestion I would have is making it so if you're standing next to the hooked survivor for an extended period, you get severe penalties like matchmaking timers, barring bloodpoints, or a gen automatically completes or fills up to a certain amount if you stood on top of a survivor until they hit struggle phase.
It's just so infuriating to play against face campers. There's nothing to truly punish a gameplay that just isnt fun or fair to play against. Like imagine if crows didnt exist, and survivors could go to corners of the map and just waste time until the killer finally got mad and rage dcd. This game really needs a healthier form of gameplay
This is an asinine request that just shows how out of touch Survivors are with how playing a Killer is.
Matchmaking timing penalties? You want even FEWER Killers? Enjoy your wait times. How does half an hour sound?
There's nothing fun about getting looped a hundred times either but Survivors still do it. Where is the fun in the Killer for THAT?
Facecamping does not need to be punished. It's a valid strategy and the devs have said so. They are ALREADY penalized for their Emblems for facecamping. Just call it what it is. You are made that you played bad and got hooked first.

I actually DO want to know what names are attached to what Survivor models, thanks.
-
Apparently, I'm a terrible Survivor that needs to uninstall because I use Spine Chill and "good players don't need Spine Chill".
Also, on an unrelated note, apparently Spine Chill needs to be nerfed. Or so many threads on these forums have told me.
-
Normally I defend Killers, but in this case I need to point out a lot of Survivor perks have requirements. Just a few examples include:
Inner Strength (Totem)
We're Gonna Live Forever (Various)
Deliverance (Unhook)
Detective's Hunch (Generator Completion)

So.. Killers.. can you explain something to me? Yes we all know by now, you guys want DS nerfed.. But do you guys even realize that the sole reason the perk even exists to begin with is due to the way a lot of Killers play? If you didn't resort to tunneling, survivors would have never needed it to begin with.
As a killer main, I've never once had an issue with DS. Why? Because i'd rather lose knowing I refused to tunnel someone.
And we know, we know.. You had that 1 rare occurrence where you downed 4 survivors in 60 seconds but still got hit with DS and that survivor was able to loop you for 5 gens, save all of his teammates and escape.
You're the one that makes the choice to tunnel someone and eat their DS, when instead you could just slug them and create even more pressure. If they have UB? So be it.. that was still 40 seconds that they were out of the game.
Ah, yes. The "Decisive Strike is an anti-tunneling perk" lie remains strong with this one.
@fixdeadhard said:
DS abuse is just a made up thing by killers.
DS: "After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike will become active and usable for 40/50/60seconds.While Decisive Strike is active, when grabbed by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check to automatically escape the Killer's grasp and stun them for 5 seconds."
Thats what the perk does. It works good against tunneling, thats it, no such thing as abusing it by going in a locker, its using the perk.
Are survivors crouch abusing if they use it to hide mid chase instead of hiding to avoid a chase? its just so dumb...
Same with all these dumb complaints about "second chance perks". Yes, survivors have these, and need these. Can a survivor kill the killer and throw him out of the game before the exit gates are open? no. Killers have unlimited second chances, miss a hit, just do it 3 seconds later again....
"DS Abuse is just a made up thing by Killers".
Bullcrap. It's abused every day and I watched it last night.
All gens completed. There was a skirmish about hooks trying to save everyone. One Survivor gets hooked. Friends save that person and run out. My friend downs that person 30 seconds from the gates.
Guess what? Survivor is now invincible and gets a free win. Because that Survivor has Decisive Strike. They can crawl right over the gates, because they have a WHOLE FREAKING MINUTE to do so.
All my friend could do was watch her crawl out.
Don't ever freaking tell me there is no such thing as DS Abuse. It's not the tooth fairy.

I feel like you could fix the biggest issues with the new HUD if they made the different items in it movable.
Star Wars: The Old Republic has been letting me click and drag my HUD items wherever I want them to be and then lock them there for YEARS. This should be a fairly simple concept. That way people can put their stuff wherever they want their eyes to go, which appears to be the primary complaint.
-
Let me guess, you were one of those guys that played WoW and were all about those super rare mounts, huh?
-
Ah, yet another "NOED rewards people for playing poorly" thread.
-
NOED is fine and it does not reward bad Killers. It is a second chance perk for Killers that get outplayed.
A second chance perk. I would assume Survivors would be EXTREMELY familiar with what those are.
-
Do these "discussion" threads serve any purpose at this point except vindictiveness?
-
Giving a Survivor the hatch isn't a bannable offense.
Working with one Survivor to kill another one is.
-
Most of them would be Neutral Evil or Chaotic Evil.
-
Why do they need "forgiveness"?
Did they kill someone's dog?
-
I like facing Trapper because I feel like I am allowed to play the game and if I lose it is because I was legitimately outsmarted, as opposed to losing to an insta-down maneuver or a teleport/phase move.
-
Whispers needs a counter? huh?
-
Hmmm. Let's see here.
Do I:
A.) Take the bait of the teabagging Survivor, get run around for 2+ minutes while I take 5 pallets to the head and get flashlight blinded at each one...
OR
B.) Wait for Arrogant Altruism™ to strike again and wait for a Survivor to come make the save?
-
You are right, it IS a Killer perk, but not for the reason you mentioned.
It's a Killer perk because right before I MEEP MEEP into the sunset with Sprint Burst the Killer realizes he can't get me, so the poor Bill that was doing the gen with me gets killed instead. That leaves me with more than enough time to go to the Winchester, have a nice cold pint, and wait for this all to blow over.
Sorry, Bill.

It's totally different because Billy is actually charging at you and not throwing his revved chainsaw half way across the map , name one other killer that has a ranged instadown
So again, I ask, is that the whole argument? That it is ranged?
-
I think a lot of the answers to buffs to a lot of Killers is they would be more viable if some of their add ons were base kit.
-
Is that the WHOLE argument then? That's all you guys got? "It's ranged"?
Because mechanically it is no different than Billy charging the map and sawing you in half, and that's free.
-
The MVP of any match is whoever does the most gen time. Because that is the objective. This isn't basketball, you are not gonna get a tomahawk dunk highlight reel.
If people want to stroke themselves over their sweet 360 on the Killer they can upload it to Twitch.
-
Sounds like a tool to quickly drop to ranks you more "feel" like playing in.
-
Tunneling is called tunneling because the Killer has "tunnel-vision" on that Survivor to the exclusion of all others.
It is "I want YOU dead, specifically".
I will tunnel if you bring a Key. I will tunnel if you teabag me. But that's it.
One thing that I see very commonly is I will hook someone, go off to apply gen pressure, let that person get unhooked (yes, I said "let" - do not flatter yourself, I was well aware you had a friend in the area) and then lo and behold 30 seconds later the same person I hooked earlier is brazenly running in front of the map in clear view in her brightly colored cosmetic with her scratch marks in tow.
Listen, if you are gonna be that bold while your friend does his best Ryu Hayabusa impression, that's on you. I am not tunneling because you are the next person I see because you cannot be bothered to hide or even try to be subtle about it.

To fix the accrual of bloodpoints:
For killers:
increase the amount of blood points in the Deviousness category. Without Distressing, this category suffers greatly. Also, a very strange scoring for some killers, for example, Oni: 25 bp for one ball and 250 for activating Blood Fury;
increase the amount of blood points in the Brutality category. 500 bp per hit is normal. It is also necessary to correct the accrual of points in this category for instadown;
For survivors:
Increase the number of blood points for repairing generators (1250 for one generator is very little). In my opinion, 2000-2500 for one generator is normal;
Add passive scoring to the Survival category for every second in a match. For example, 25 bp for 1 second of life.
I do not know about the change of glasses in the Boldness category.
Maybe this will encourage more people to do generators. Apparently, some people think crouching beyond a rock gives you bloodpoints.
-
No. Players just expect a lot.
I've played in games where Devs were as transparent as this community wants them to be. Do you know what happens in those games?
"GG Orion promised us flying vehicles 6 months, ago. Nothing. Screw Orion Entertainment."
"Orion said we'd have holsterable weapons by Christmas. Now it's February, but they just keep saying SOON. These guys never get off their backsides."
"Orion devs said again and again and again they were going to fix movement speeds on Echo Island, but never did. Obviously, they lied to us."
"I only stayed subbed to this game because Orion said they were going to add LGBT options for romances. Well, it's been a whole expansion now, and nothing. This is hurtful and dishonest."
And so on, and so on, and so on.
If a dev even HINT something is coming, the deluge of harassment doesn't stop. I don't know where this myth started that transparency gets people off of Devs backs, because I can tell you from personal experience it absolutely does not. In fact, it often makes it worse.
-
The Iridescent Head is fine. It doesn't need a rework.
-
I kinda see everything. No one Killer stands out, and I think I see most on a regular basis. I guess Demogorgon and Oni on the low end. I see slightly above average volumes of Leatherface and Trapper.
-
I said it before and I will say it AGAIN:
REMOVE
KEYS
FROM
THE
GAME
Take the add ons and let them apply to maps or something.
-
Tinkerer is fine. Spine Chill is a perfectly fine counter to it, as well.
The only problem with Tinkerer is when it is paired with Ruin.

Can't blame Almo for getting annoyed after being pestered by the same question from the same person multiple times during stream when he had already answered the question, not to mention the possibility that Almo either didn't know about colorblind mode being worked on because it's not his department or he couldn't talk about it because NDA agreement prohibits it.
This is how I feel about it. People are acting like Almo dropped a racial slur or something.
His message was basically "We heard you the first 10,000 times. In case your parents never told you, bullying is bad." and then all the slathering devotees from the outrage crowd showed up to attack him over it, only proving his point even more.

Midwich easily. The map reduces gameplay on both sides to holding W. Once you get to the loops if the killer has more than two brain cells the survivor is getting hit. It’s hard to navigate and is visually cluttered making gens and totems really hard to find.
This. I hate Midwich.
I am also starting to hate Autohaven, merely because there are like 5 maps for that zone and I get it ALL the time.
