That's true but most people don't have access to the new consoles yet, even if they have the money to afford one. Plus it's not like BHVR will just drop support for the older consoles. They still need to be considered when adding new content that could cause performance issues.
Not to mention, PS4 base should be more than enough to run dbd at a smooth 60 FPS. Should being the key word

Why do you guys say it would have so many bugs? I mean they would test this feature before releasing it to make sure it has no known issues.
Do you play dbd? 😂

It can lead to frustration, that’s for sure, but it’s easily avoidable.
I’ve had many matches where the killer gets dominated, hard, then miraculously via NOED gets a easy 3k.
Players need to go cleanse totems first
Don’t even touch a gen.
All 4 survivors play the match like Corrupt is being run and stay off gens for the first couple minutes and cleanse the totems.
The killer may find someone, but the Hex threat is clearly getting cut down easily in the very beginning of the match. Even if Undying is on, all survivors on a totem and the killer can’t get to everyone simultaneously before at least 3 totems are eliminated. Especially if one of them is Ruin. Too many matches end in a 4K when players aren’t checking gens for Ruin before they start repairing them, then they get chased off gens that regress down to nothing.
As fast as gens go, there’s no issue with cranking out a couple or a few after cleansing the totems, before the killer gets 2 hooks in.
Preventing the killer from getting an easy win is all in the hands of the survivors; it’s a team effort that starts at the beginning of every match.

Everything has sexual connotations if you look for five minutes. Nothing in DbD feels like it qualifies as anything special.
You’re glossing over it if you say something like that. There’s a difference between making something sexual (“that’s what she said uh derrr”) and underlying sexual themes, such as S&M.

Actually, good survivors don’t waste time pallet looping and definitely don’t throw safe pallets

It's not about making killers stronger, it's about fine tuning the game so that deathsquads aren't as powerful.
There are ways to balance a game without destroying all levels of play. Altering tile efficiency and pathing is one such way, as lower skilled survivors aren't taking advantage of every step they take like higher skilled ones are. A change like this, for example, would better balance high level play and have little to no effect on low level play. Altering the strength of adjacent tiles to already strong tiles is also another such way, as lower skill survivors will just run through and throw pallets, while the higher skill survivors can efficiently loop 3-5 gens on some tile chains.
The changes that can be made require a deep knowledge of the game, as the devs don't play the game to such a level, they need to acquire the knowledge of high level players.
This particular clip is the best example of what I'm talking about. The BASE jumper in TF2 was altered in such a way that reduced its effectiveness in the hands of good players, but bad players weren't using it in that way, so it didn't really effect bad players.
https://youtu.be/X1p42KtZOCw?t=206
"It was causing way too many problems in the hands of someone who could use it to its full potential"
The issue with DBD is that as a killer, you need to be significantly better than the survivor team to have a chance against them. Given equal skill levels (at higher levels of play) survivors mop the floor with killers. This is a problem. The other issue is that this game is so badly designed for high level play that one side usually just snowballs which leads to unfun gameplay for the majority of the match. The vast majority of matches are decided within the first 2-3 minutes of the game, then the rest of the match just becomes dull.
The issue as killer is not being significantly better than the survivor team. It doesn’t take much of any skill vs. your average survivor team. Even better than average teams. Because cheap tactics work (slugging, camping, hook standoffs, etc) as solo teams don’t have awareness that (a) comms provide (b) what their team is running perk wise (c) team tendencies, even off comms.
The difference is, a lot of killers think they are better than they are, because very good teams are rare.
Nerfing loops further than they already have been is not a good idea. Especially with all these massive dead zones that exist in new maps.
Killers have this entitlement idea that EVERY killer in the game should be able to take out EVERY survivor/team just as well. I mean, if I want to race a Lamborghini, I’m not gonna show up in a Focus.

I got a question for survivors mains. Do most of you all like to farm bloodpoints with killers or prefer just a straight game? Bc I like farming points with everyone and have a fun time. I do have serious games as well but sometimes it hard to get survivors to farm with you as well. So just throwing this question out their to get some opinions on this subject lol
Not everyone enjoys farming games. When I play killer, 90%+ of my games I 2 hook everyone, then let gen pallet stun, etc and escape

On the flipside. I feel the people who say this are also the people who hide with zero hookstates while one player is death and the rest is on deathhook. If you don't take aggro then i'm making you take aggro.
On a serious note, people really need to do this more. if someone is tunneled and you haven't been hooked go take a damn hit instead of just waving your fist angerally at the killer from a safe distance

I’m not a newbie. I’m playing for 3 years now with this game. When I said ‘the new Ormond’ I meant survivors prefer to use this map if they want to increase their winning chance. On the other hand you can leave the arrogant\sarcastic tone, it won’t contribute to a sophisticated conversation.
Ah, as arrogant/sarcastic as you claiming there's "sophisticated" conversations to be had about....Dead By Daylight? LMFAO

Here's the truth, at least from my eyes:
From Killer side: proxy camping/tunneling in the right moments can secure you the win. Same with slugging. Mostly effective way to deal with solo queue and most swfs
From survivor side: boring, unfun, exhausting because it happens more and more the longer you play.
The game is a cat and mouse. I enjoy that. Don't care to kill honestly

It's a mix of (1) predominately cheap dedicated servers (servers are meant for mobile games, not a multiplayer PC/console game), (2) "hit validation," (3) hitboxes
Today especially, servers are ass. Maybe 1/3 of the time I've been hit was it legit. I miss P2P.

@JigsawPiggy said:
I've recently become a Pig main.
The sooner I get the four players down to three, the better my chances are of keeping three players from completing the rest of the gens. And three players down to two, etc. Also, if I chase the survivor doing the unhooking, I have to use two hits to bring them down, not one for a wounded survivor. If I'm running Ebony Mori, that's another excuse to chase the wounded survivor, because I can mori them, and then I'm only having to deal with three players vs. four. But it's rare when I get an immediate tunnel on an unhooked player, because I rarely lurk around the hook, unless the person on it has been particularly toxic (Had a Steve butt dance after dropping every pallet, whether he stunned me or not. That got old very quickly, and he paid for it.)
Don't get me wrong, it sucks when it happens to me when playing survivor. But having switched to playing killer primarily, I can see the benefit, because if you get four people one per gen, even if you chase one, the other three can pop those gens off fairly quickly, then you've only got two gens left after hooking one survivor.
Traps are practically useless. If I play 15 matches as Pig, I get MAYBE two deaths in those 15 matches from the trap firing, and one of them is because they got the trap right before the last gen fired, to activate it, and then they ran out the exit gate not realizing that it would automatically fire. Trapper has to find his traps, but they're active and reusable for the entire match. I've had plenty of matches where I've gotten a trap on every single players' head, and every single player has safely removed it. Once the trap is removed, it's gone, and then all I have is the knife. The trap is NOT a guaranteed kill, and I'm going to make more points, and give myself a better advantage, by rehooking the player twice more, or using a mori.
Also, from my perspective, while I have great success with her, Pig is hardly an OP killer. Once my traps are gone, I'm left with stealth, which is picked up by the right perks, and her lunge attack, which takes a few seconds to pop off, and gives a loud warning roar alerting the survivor it's coming. While it's usually very effective at the start of the game, once the players know they're playing Pig, they then become very wary, and it gets harder and harder to sneak attack someone on a gen, because you can bet they've positioned their camera to a place where they can see me coming. Trying to use the lunge attack during a chase is also pretty ineffective, because they are usually back out of range because of the time it takes to execute it in a straight chase, and around a corner.
Part of it is due to inexperience. I've only been playing Pig exclusively for about two weeks, and while I'm getting good with her, I'm by no means excellent with her. Chasing the wounded survivor isn't great for the player I'm chasing, but abandoning that chase to go after the person who does the unhook, and usually proves to be quite the looper who takes complete advantage of any inexperience I have playing Pig for such a short time isn't great for me.
The other part of it is my mindset during the match. If I've had two or three matches where I've three or four Ked, I'm far less likely to go after the wounded player if they're unhooked when I'm in the area. If I've had two or three matches where I've been looped for the whole damn match with one hook or less, no kills, and the sight of three people at the exit line butt dancing, I'm going to be more apt to chase the lame survivor or survivors so I can get a match with at least one kill.
New to killer I guess if you think time management = best to tunnel

I didn't play for weeks when the rift opened and I still finished it. I don't play 24/7, lol. You just need to do the challenges and play whenever you get time. It's not as grindy as you guys are making it out to be.
Curious - are you capable of thinking outside of your self? (Space between the two intended)

@burt0r said:
Well that is the point of this gifts or season passes in other game. To bait the customer with the free track and as soon as you buy the premium you get in the mindset that you have to finish it to get everything for your money and boom they tied you done to play more of their game. Same for every free game.or game with an additional thing like the rift, for example rocket league, dauntless, fortnite, league of legends and other f2p games but also dbd and even rainbow six siege (which has a base game price, skins, every year a 50 bucks season pass and a rift like thing with premium track).
Well bhvr has clearly chosen the route of grinding us to death. Outside of noobs, I think it turns people off from playing imo (even if they still do)
If you look at a game like Clash of Clans, you can earn a set number of points daily just for playing. You then have challenges they pop up every 7 days. If you play daily and complete the challenges presented (which are easy, not grindy), you’ll finish the rift 7-10 days+ before it’s over. If you want to pay to unlock it earlier, you can. But even if you came in with a week to go, you could still finish it if you played enough.
The Rift in dbd should be easy and doable. It should also allow to complete the rift by completing the challenges. as it is now, the rift is 2 new outfits, 3 outfits with new colors, a bunch of charms nobody cares about. There’s not a ton of value in the rift imo

With Nurse she just feels slow and sluggish to use her power now. No wonder she has the lowest pick rate, but people just blame it on "She's to hard to learn"
And with hillbilly it limits how much you can do and even if it doesn't come into play often it's still something you have to keep focus on constantly and sometimes it can become alot to handle at a time
I don't care if they are still at the same strength level after the nerfs, they are just super unfun to play now and people should learn someday that not everybody is looking for wins, some just want to have fun
Edit: so apparently people aren't reading the post and are just commenting for the hell of it. IM NOT SAYING THEY ARE NOT STRONG ANYMORE, IM SAYING THEY ARE NOT FUN TO LEARN AND PLAY ANYMORE

The only people who call it a small pp build are most commonly boys who have penis insecurity issues. The whole idea of calling it a “small pp build” is to project said insecurity, to make them feel insecure and/or annoyed/angry. When someone reacts in an annoyed/angry/insecure fashion, you have projective identification.
Funny how psychology works

The only time I have ever paid for cosmetics was like 3 years ago when I was playing Friday the 13th regularly (when it still had a future). For $3.00 you could buy sets of beach wear or Halloween costumes for most of the councelors, and I did it to support a game I liked not because I particularly wanted or needed them. That’s about the price range I could do for DBD, but I would be willing to spend twice that amount for a little bit less than F13 offered. At least it would still be a more reasonable price point than what they’re doing now.
Agreed. Man if that lawsuit never happened I never would have played dbd.
Next thing they’re going to pull will be “limited time outfits” and charge $20 for them. Just wait
