If someone tea bags mid chase I will tunnel and camp them because its more satisfying than a pip. Clicky click doesn't bother me though, as I view it as a threat to blind me which has tactical applications. Teabagging is just unnecessary douchebaggery

that would kind of deserve a “gg ez” because you took the bait, hard

I have a long history of humiliating fools who t-bag or clicki clicki me and the truth is that despite the fact that I am not done in games with my teammates or with the killer, I read a discussion where I think they confirm that the developers urge you to To be toxic with the killer, although I do not let myself fall into ignorance, I ask you, have you felt good humiliating a survivor who has been a headache for you?

Games are microcosms of how individuals handle stress. Enjoying humiliating people is not considered a healthy way to do that. Hopefully that doesn’t translate to irl

How is this fair? Yeah nurse is the hardest killer to learn and master but...it's still not a excuse to have an insta easy mode.

I watched the clip and do you want me to go over what I saw?

From what little it showed you were still injured.

She just hooked someone not too far away from you.

You sat on the gen and your back was towards the direction she would be coming from.

It sounded like you screamed from infectious fright so you should have been leaving the moment that team mate got downed.

    You had DS up.

From what little your 30 second clip showed. I see a cocky injured survivor whose location was revealed but he had his 2nd chance perk up and assumed he was invincible. He got downed and went to the forums to complain. You didn't even attempt to consider what you did wrong or how you could improve. You just made a thread saying Nurse is unhealthy. People like you are the reason killers get crappy nerfs that aren't needed. Nurse didn't need a CD, Billy doesn't need an overheat. Freddy didn't need to be nerfed the week he released but survivors like you didn't want to git gud and instead made enough hate threads. Then the devs listened to the majority.

Do you think the devs care what are said on these forums?

  • @immortalls96 said:

What you meant to say was this only applies to SURVIVOR perks..cause ds unbreakable which was legit unbalanced due to no real counterplay is once again left alone..but you reduced hex undying down to nothing..can't say you arnt biased when making such biased changes..talk about disappointing

Yeah, the Game Developers, in an evil plot, of THEIR OWN GAME, are biased to half their game, as evidenced by allowing Undying to now work with more than just one perk, and buffing one of the weakest killers in the game, effectively giving him cloaked wraith movement speed with the toss of a bottle on himself. The horror!

Killers slug, survivors bring UB. Don’t slug if you have bad dreams about UB. Don’t pick up a survivor in 60 sec if DS haunts you. Tada!!!

  • I don’t understand. As clown, don’t throw speed bottles at a survivor running to the shack, running to a strong building, etc. in fact, don’t throw them at survivors.

perhaps, throw them to only give yourself a boost.

ptb comes out, test it out.

  • Yeah I agree. Seems like a lot of solid changes with clear thought put into them. Kudos to the devs. Fingers crossed nothing breaks and if it does, it’s able to get addressed fairly soon

  • Jesus. The sky is not falling. Solid update. Gotta hand it to the devs on this one

  • @chieften333 said:

You were a fun perk while you lasted, you protected my totems dutifully. But we can't ignore that you were an RNG based perk that could be removed 30 seconds into the game, or easily seen with a map or two other perks. Or the fact that dull totems could be removed before the hex perks could be transferred. I guess survivors can't resist gens so much that they can't hop off one to do bones for extra points.

    You will be missed

It’s still going to be useful, even more so for Devour Hope. Zero issues with the change.

unless of course we can agree to bring back OG MoM, instaheals, recover from exhaustion while running, use DS whenever you wish, 75% fall recovery always with BL, etc

100% on board with these changes

  • @Saltjar34 said:

There's an offering for survivors that lets them spawn together. Did any of them have Streetwise or Prove Thyself because that can be a reason to burn that offering

    :)

No, none of the spawning offerings have been played in the hundreds (thousand+) games in referencing. That would explain it in those cases though

  • If the gates have been 99’ed:

    1) you lost

    2) EGC is to end the game. Not to get more kills.

    3) if it bothers you, bring blood warden, noed and remember me. But, then you might find gens flying.

  • @KateMain86 said:

Sorry but I cannot sympathize with the OP on this. You talk about losing a rare offering when you have a perk that literally deletes any item a survivor has if they get hit and unable to recover in a very short amount of time. Survivors wanting to avoid a mori is not a bad thing because they lose items and depip in most situations when they do this. Its not just you suffering a loss. They do too. Besides all that, moris deter a lot of people from playing survivor in this game. I can't think of anything more unfun and annoying in the game than the way moris were before the change. Even with the change, they're still not fun to play against because it often encourages tunneling to recently hooked survivors which is another big problem in the game.

Agreed. The devs don’t though. Camping and tunneling are valid ways to play the game. Strongly encourage playing that way if you have a dev in lobby. Especially when they’re mid-stream. The more unfun, I mean, “valid” the experience, the better 😂

This was a mechanic that was tried and tested some time ago - it didn't work then and it probably wouldn't work now, due to the fact that sometimes a killer needs to stay near a hook, if a gen is close to completion for example or if another survivor is in the area.

And no, a safety pip shouldn't be given - pips should be earned, not given away.

Camping/tunnelling are all mechanics in this game, it's a thing that does need to be got used to. Survivors have perks that can help counteract both of those mechanics as well, it's down to them if they want to use them. But the best way to punish a camping killer is just to do the generators and get out, you might still get the opportunity to make a save (if you have Borrowed Time) but focusing on the generators in those circumstances is the wisest decision to make.

Yes I appreciate it's not so fun because the fun thing in DbD is the chases imo, but players have a right to play their own way (providing it's in the game rules) and the killer is already getting punished by losing the match, not pipping (will probably get a black pip), and getting hardly any points.

Also, isn’t that a game mechanic/design flaw issue if you can negate the ability for someone to play in any meaningful way? I just think about CoD and old school Demolition, where teams could spawn camp and kill you before you even had the chance to move. Eventually, Demolition was removed from future CoDs except once in a very rare weekend event because of the issue. Just my two cents

A safety pip isn’t really earning a pip per se, as it leads to no progression. It’s simply a net zero pip

When MMR actually works people who are good at the game will start to hate it. On paper MMR sounds good but if it's actually accurate it makes games even more predictable, stale and boring.

BHVR has already intervened in the outcome of games. I remember playing DBD in 2018/2019 and thinking “did someone play an offering? That’s weird” when one survivor spawned near me. Now, you queue into a match with all 4 people spawned in a dead zone and the killer 5 seconds away.

id love to see stats for “time to first hook” when 4 survivors spawn in a corner vs. 4 survivors spread out. This is seemingly done to to push certain games in the favor of killers. I wonder further if this is done more commonly after losing X number of matches (as killer) or winning X number of matches (as survivor)

  • @VexTheHex said:

And Killers rely too much on slow down perks to win. They hide behind their gen prevention, slow down, or regression perks to make up for their own bad plays. They could just play better and apply the proper pressure without needing a perk to do it for them.

And Survivors rely too much on healing to win. They should just accept injury and realize they don't need any additional health states than they should have. (3. Healthy, Injured, Then Dead) Healing and getting unhooked is just rewarding their mistakes in the end.

And Killers rely way too much on their powers. If trapless Trapper can down a Survivor, the others can as well. A Nurse relying on her blinks isn't really expanding her horizon of outplaying the survivor with mind games. Victor stays inside, using him is a crutch.

    Yep.

And you want this game to be easy for survivors, since it's balanced around the top 1% of killers. Your argument is hypocritical.

The game isn’t meant to be taken seriously. It’s meant to be more chill and casual. It’s not an esport

  • How do you define “top 1% of survivors”? The ones that escape? Score more points? Unhook more teammates safely? Do more gens? Whine more? Loop longer but leave their teammates with no pallets? Click their flashlight faster? More tbags in 5 seconds vs. others? What is it?

  • @gatsby said:

Ruin is probably the strongest gen regression perk at high tiers of play. If Killers were able to have repeat perks, they'd probably bring two Ruins and an Undying. And if Undying didn't exist they'd probably just bring three Ruins.

Undying is strong, sure. But if Ruin didn't exist I don't think anyone would be complaining about it or using it that much

Are you under the influence or something? 2 ruins, 3 ruins, forgot that undying is pretty much solely useful on ruin, thinking ruin is needed for “high tier play.” You ok bud?

A lot of people, just because you don't care doesn't mean others don't as well.

a lot of people are so triggered by exhaustion perks? Try getting in a chase with no bloodlust, actual infinite loops, and sprint burst that recharges midchase while running. Dead hard has been around for nearly 4 years. It wasn’t until the first nerf to all exhaustion perks, then nerfing balance landing, and voila, now we need to complain about dead hard.

Forums are boring these days. Just the same ol’ regurgitated topics (for the most part). Next up: NOED is BS, BT should be deleted, Keys are trash, Moris are trash, ruin undying tinkerer, maybe a BBQ thread for good measure, don’t forget “small pp,” etc etc

  • Objective: do gens. What do you need, a bot and time. How do you create time, get in chase. How can you prolong a chase, whether you’re good, bad or an in between? An exhaustion perk.

    who cares

  • Salty slug

When left on the ground for longer than 30 seconds, the killer cannot pick you up for the remainder of the trial, at the cost of being unable to escape through the exit gate. Your bleed out timer is increased 5x fold.

This killer is a very good player with 4400 hours, he's been playing the game since the release, also he is playing one of the best killers in the game, with 3 meta perks. As you can see he also performed mindgames at every loop, and used his power effectively (snares and tp). Still, 3 gens popped in 70 seconds. Total game length: 2:26. There is no excuse. Just a broken game.

First off, that’s not an argument. Secondly, as I said, a strong SWF doesn’t give a ######### about ruin, undying and (lol) BBQ. That’s why you hear people say “ruin and undying is ok. How to beat it? Just stick on separate gens.”

    a) I don’t think he teleported once

    b) he spammed snares for no reason, wasted time

    c) total game length was longer than 2:26, clip shown was also clipped

    d) Did not rotate. Hit survivor, chase survivor. What could the other 3 survivors with toolboxes possibly be doing?

Get a hit. Assess - are they in a strong or weak area? Do you know the tile and feel you can outplay it quickly or no? Time management. SWF or not, it’s poor time management to stay on one survivor where they can loop for another 30-40 seconds. Win or lose, you have to do that. Then we can talk

  • Verse a coordinated team - nobody cares about ruin undying. So you’re down 2 perks. BBQ didn’t help you and franklins gave you no value. It sucks. Kind of how survivors feel who aren’t in a swf vs. killers running ruin undying noed etc etc

    4) you are welcome to adapt.

I mean honestly. Years ago, survivors could adapt to Omniblink nurse. They developed a juking skill. They developed skill to avoid the hatchets.

    What happend since then?

So a non argument basically. “It’s fair because you can outplay it, but only vs. a nurse who isn’t good, because if you outplay a nurse they’re bad. And if you can juke hatchets then the huntress is bad” isn’t that how these discussions go?

  • @danielmaster87 said:

This is just awful. Any time I pick up Legion for a daily or some other reason I always do badly. If I want a stressful game I'll just pick him. He has like zero map pressure, his ability is simply to injure, and he gets aim dressed all the time. Even Trapper is better than him because survivors can get cocky and you snowball on them. Legion has nothing like that. The only good slowdown perk on Legion, Thanatophobia is also garbage since the nerf. His stun after using his power needs to be less, or be less visually disruptive. He needs a secondary ability. He's much too simple of a killer to pose a serious threat against any team above rank 10. You just stay injured against him and push gens, or heal against him if he wants to waste all that time injuring and not downing. How did this killer make it to live?

Maybe play legion more than “deciding to play legion” for a daily or randomly?

This strategy only works well against teams that perform poorly. By that, I mean a team that has someone downed really early, a team that doesn't work at gens, and/or a team that hangs around the hook while the killer is obviously camping.

also uh, known as most solo queue matches

But even then, that relies on the killer either being afraid of DS or the survivor being tunneled to death having DS. And even then, if the team is bad, that aint gonna stop the killer.

Not true. Solo queue lacks the ability to share info without using perks. Sharing info is easy in a swf on he other hand. And have you seen gen placement on some of these maps? I’ve seen 4 gens in a pretty small square on these redesigned Macmillan maps. If someone goes down while 2 of these gens are being worked in that area, the killer will say “well why would I leave, I have one on the hook and I know where 2 more are.”

Situations like the above are common. It’s free pressure for the killer, generated by zero skill involved. Similar to getting a map with an endless number of pallets the killer can’t do anything about. No skill involved.

wrong. I run it for some games and got 2 on average, requested a build from Monto and he got 4 on stream, he recently released a "Snipe Slinger" video and got at least 2 each game I think... correct that it depends on the map, because not every map has enough 15m paths to get the shot, but you don't have to get 5+ insta downs from an addon to call it useful. There are only 12 insta downs possible at max

There are 12 hooks possible. There are more than 12 insta downs possible, technically

  • @Phasmamain said:

How that and the pinky finger have lasted so long I don’t know

Well you see, they just need more data. It’s always data driven. See, compound 21 was nerfed in a week. But Iri head and pinky finger require a lot of special data that they’ve needed to gather to determine what exactly to do with them. (/sarcasm)

  • It depends. Sometimes the smart move is to save immediately, especially if your both strong loopers and you know the other two are on gens, and one of you is going to go hop on a gen. Or, it’s endgame, you have adrenaline and bt and you run in for the save, get hit, adrenaline pops and you get they save (have done this many times in solo queue, working on a gen with someone and signaling for them to stop, pointing at the survivor and then pointing back at the gen).

I agree though, there are scenarios where people hook swap way too early to the detriment of the team.

None of which are actually in DbD.

That point of view has to accept that everything turns someone on or else it's extremely hypocritical. What exactly about DbD is sexual? What did the Devs put in to turn people on? Anything? Or is it just a byproduct, a side effect of the fact that humans are inherently horny as #########? That people try to draw similarities to completely different situations?

I gloss over nothing. Its just arrogant to pretend anything other than original intent is important, whether that intent is open and understood or closeted behind layers of "you're just not adult enough."

I don’t have time to educate you on the basic drives of humans and how things they say, the work they do, displays underlying unconscious wishes and desires. Nor do I have time to ask how a high mini skirt in the game, or a shirt made to display most of a woman’s large breasts, is sexual.

Example for further research: read up on the unconscious death drive.

You’re saying “person X said they did Y because of Z, so that’s that.” That’s a very basic way of examining something

You can already tell this is BS

"The nightmare's weapon hitbox has been adjusted to his actual weapon length"

BHVR has stated many times that Freddy has the exact same range as every other killer in the game. The only reason he "lunges farther" is because his weapon and his stature is so short. His swing is the exact same as someone like Leatherface, but his weapon is short and he is short so he looks like he's reaching farther forward to compensate. In real life, it's the exact same swing distance.

but that’s not what anyone is talking about. After Freddy lunges, even if you have space between you and his lunge, a hit will register. While with other killers, it would be a miss.

  • Do people really care about skins/limited time skins, for items that have no real world value and don’t add to gameplay?

You do realize that hit validation takes YOUR connection into account as well right? If you just so happen to get a spike or some packet lose then the hit will still look like BS on your end, but as far as the server is concerned it was a fair hit because the killer's ping when it happened was fine. Killer's ping isn't the only factor dude, yours is too and even if you normally have a good connection this is the internet dude, sometimes you get a lag spike IT HAPPENS TO EVERYONE.

Crazy I can play any other MP and not have as many issues that come with playing dbd.

Unfortunately the devs gives little choice with gen slowdown perks.

They don't want to increase the repair time and for the survivors having little other things to do the gens CAN go fast, even with ruin up and even with gen pressure.

If i play survivor I just push trough if ruin is up.

When I'm with 1 or 2 more on a gen and we get chased off, if I see the killer go to after the other survivor I immediately go back, so little regression is made.

And i have to disagree that it is boring af, and I don't even care what streamer says it is.

I play solo and barely ever notice a problem with it.

Yes you do sometimes get patatos, hell I've even had 3 people looking for totems 🤷‍♂️

The problem is easily solved with adjusting gen speeds.

Not by much but just a little.

Like instead of a gen with 2 people on it which takes about 40ish sec to complete, make it that repair time goes down with 10 sec for every survivor working on it.

It's not a big change, but enough for killers to make more fun builds instead of a lot of gen defence builds.

And sure you will always have people who will use almost every gen defence perk in the game.

Look at forever freddy, still being used a lot eventhough he doesn't need it

if you adjust gen speeds, killers will continue to use any form of gen slow down, even more

Now? all of this + cleansing minimum 3 Totems on my own. Nothing is getting done. Its super unenganging because most killers ignore me once I loop them for 20 seconds. They realize Im not easy to down so they go for my potatoe mates.
