This design is amazing.
His design was fairly cool but it also felt…I dunno. Overdesigned to the point of him looking a bit generic?

Arkham Knight? Yep, he is amazing in that game.
I found him really dull in Knight. Loved him to bits in Asylum.

I'm hot a$$ at it but i like playing the shark. I don't think any of these DC/Marvel comic book characters would fit well into dbd but if I had to pick someone it would be Carnage
Jeff is insanely popular because he's probably the safest support that isn't Clagger and that ult is horrible to go up against on some maps, as there is zero way to avoid it on a lot of heroes.

Scarecrow from DC would fit, I'd say.
I still think Trickster is a modified Joker prototype, ditto Skull Merchant and Predator.

Until BHVR share new stats, 3rd party site is only source we have. And yeah, on this NL site Borgo is very much killer-sided map. I don't know what makes you think that will be different in official stats.
Sometimes bad stats are worse than no stats.
NL tends to be a very small sample size at the top levels of play.

My response actually was not all over the place, but okay.
1.While technically true, they just offer the only argument that people's problems with her is individually skill-based.
Again, just going off what they said, tho It does not matter, only what BHVR things does.2.Again, Survivor reactions which you ought to ignore.
3.I know what OP said, I read it too, what they say is largely overexaggerating and they ask is to ignore what others say.
The only reason they didn't killswitch SM for the 3-4 years it'll take her to get reworked (trust) is because people spent money on cosmetics.
4. Do you have proof of this or is it conjecture?
We can infer the case, because Mandy went on a stream and was basically laughing about how they ruined SM deliberately.
I can assume because basic logic and Mandy's statements on stream.
5. I'm going to have to ask you for a source for the Stream and clip where Mandy was laughing about how the ruined SM.
6. Goad.
7. You read very much into the examples, no its just an example of goading which one should ignore.
- Most of them were. 100%. At least in part. SM wasn't Nurse or Blight. She had a pretty versatile kit, but the only part I think that needed adjusting was dormant drones. Or letting scan marks expire over time.
- Why do survivors get a pass?
- Again, killer reactions which you ought to ignore?
- It's inference from precedent. How's that Freddy rework coming along?
- Do a quick forum search? It was OhTofu's stream. I'm unsure if it's still up but you can 100% find plenty of people talking about it.
- Then same response.
- Yes. Killers should just ignore the efforts to get killers nerfed to SM levels. That'll end fine.

Thank you for coming to my defense here, this is what I was getting at - and yes, they were being dismissive and missing the point. They have also alongside others been following me across the forums to harass me about this and other points on other discussions, refusing repeatedly to engage in discussion to the point I've had to block them to get any discussion even remotely done without getting so annoyed with this community not caring about others in the game, I just leave in frustration or even worse end up saying something regrettable and too mean. For some reason, that sort of following to harass behavior is considered ok here, I guess.
I'm not angry about the SM nerfs. She needed it. I think she was fine after the first nerf. The second nerf however made her Freddy 2.0, all so nobody would ever have to see her again. How is that fair to her players? How is that fair to anyone who wants the game to have variety? It comes across as victim-blaming, all because someone DARED to enjoy a Killer people don't like. How on EARTH is that okay?
I'm saddened that the message people took from the nerfs is, "we can convince the Devs to nerf Killers we find annoying based on whining enough to the point that Killer is so useless, nobody plays them and we never have to see them again - because the Devs agree with doing that." I'm angry nobody sees the issue with "well the Killer's annoying so the solution is to say eff those players, nerf the Killer and make them play someone else we PREFER to play against". I'm frustrated people are looking at Killers like my Main, who literally next to NOBODY complained about even two years ago as being unfair, and calling them unfair because of the one or two things they can do that ARE skillful and DO have counterplay and are only so skillful because the player playing them is fighting against unfun or glitchy mechanics and has learned how to deal with them. We used to call those techs 2 years ago, not "abusing an unfair mechanic". Why is my skill with a character, arguably a weak one at that, a problem now when it literally never was before?
And that's what makes me upset, and what spurred this post. And all I can ask is, who's next? Is Ghostface next? Will they nerf my Main?
I feel like they will, because people are mad, and then what will I have? I got into this game because I could be Ghostface. I got into this game because I find Ghostface fun and at the time, people generally LIKED him and still do. I got into this game because I could indulge in a fun fantasy of being a slasher villain or running from slasher villains. If he were nerfed to nothing, I genuinely would quit because there'd be absolutely no reason for me to play anymore.
Why, why do I deserve to have the game I love taken from me because of something the Devs accidentally broke being too frustrating for others to learn to counterplay against? It's not my fault his Reveal and Lean are broken. It's not my fault some people quit because of that. It's not my fault.
All I want to do is play the game. And I think most Skurchent players and Mains felt the same way.
Why does a Killer deserve to be destroyed - not nerfed, DESTROYED - because a mob of Survivors, four times as many as there are Killers, think she's unfun instead of making her a priority to be MADE fun?
Bingo.

Playing both sides does not make you unbiased btw, you still can have your fav role and this still can affect your opinion. Especially if you are gonna claim Borgo is strong map for survivors, then yeah you will sound like biased because Borgo is one of the worst maps for survivors. Old Borgo was good tho.
Where are your stats? You made a claim about kill rates.

That wasn't exactly the case, I would say.
What did happen was that some people claimed they were facing "Bully squads" on every single game, and we all know that does not happen. So people would point that out.
But the Forums did have a reputation of being biased towards killers for a while. Thankfully, that is no longer a thing.
I'd say the forums are extremely survivor biased now. But that's neither here nor there.

This is one of the few games where watching old content actually makes me wish I could've played back then.
It would be a fun anniversary event, but trust me - a lot of the nostalgia for old DbD is a case of rose tinted glasses. I do miss the original visual style as it felt more 'horror', but the game was kind of a mess.

Middle of map has only 2 pallets and when they gone, map is huge dead zone. Main building is weak. And it has very high kill-rate.

The SM execution happened recently, and these days the Forums do not have the "killer heavy" aspect that it used to have.
But it was definitely the case back in the day. One example that can be given is when people were pushing for Decisive Strike to be nerfed, during the DS + UB meta. You would constantly see such posts.
I recall, back in the day, a lot of killer mains talking about how miserable the role could be and the smurf/derank squads at low ranks and maybe double the survivors telling them to git gud.

You act like these unhookable squads are an every match thing? 90%+ of matches will never have that issue and 60-90 seconds is more than enough time for you to secure your hook, if you can't then that's a you issue.
Also taking away immersion in this game is what ruined it to begin with; making "hiding" a bannable offense is literally like saying "doing gens" should be a bannable offense. You're a killer, you're supposed to be hunting.. stop being lazy and check lockers. You're…really defending hiding for 20 minutes, going from locker to locker to bush to (way to get rid of AFK crows) to stall the match out?

It's the two rooms over the bar, right? Next to the long balcony?

No, 5 seconds nowadays are not the same as back then. Back then Killers were weaker, maps were more survivor-sided. 5 seconds were more valuable a few years ago.
Wouldn't that make 5 seconds more valuable now for survivors?

Hook the third survivor because I don't slug for the 4k
Survivor never gets to use their basekit UB
Game is not prolonged any more than it would without basekit UB
How do you hook a survivor with Boil Over who sits up in the (not going to specify for obvious reasons) on Ormond with Boil Over?
Previously, you'd just slug them.

@Aven_Fallen said:
Yeah, "disaster" is a fitting term. In general, the Shake Up was not really a Shake Up. I dont consider it a Shake Up if the Meta on Killer Side goes from 3-4 Slowdowns to 3-4 Slowdowns, just different ones.
Then there were unneeded Nerfs on both sides, some of them at least partially reverted. Iron Will-Nerf was not needed at all, especially not the double nerf. They reverted one part, to make the Perk useable again, because anything below 100% Noise Reduction might as well be 0 when you have to hope to play against a Killer who uses Headphones.
Ruin was also not needed. Yes, Ruin/Undying/Tinkerer was oppressive, even with nerfed Undying. But the main culprit was Tinkerer and this got nerfed. Nothing more needed to be done.
DS was another pointless Nerf. The only thing people asked for was deactivating in Endgame (which I can understand, but personally disagree with), but nobody asked for it to be butchered to 3 seconds. And even now it is still weak, and it would be still weak with 5 seconds, since 5 seconds back then are not 5 seconds nowadays.
Self Care was another nonsense Nerf. The Perk was not efficient before and was even worse afterwards. For some reason people still play it, but the Nerf was not needed. I get that it had a high useage (which should never be the main reason for a Nerf), but as far as I know this was only on the Asia Servers. And the main reason why people run Self Care is because they dont want to or simply cannot rely on their teammates. And making it harder for those players is just wrong.
And those were just Meta-Perks. Some niche perks were also just butchered, Calm Spirit, Pharmacy and Botany Knowledge for example. And probably many more, because for some reason the Devs thought that getting a Medkit at the start of the Trial would be too good or being silent while doing Side Objectives would warrant a downside.
Meanwhile we got probably the worst Slowdown-Meta ever with the Eruption-Meta, where you basically had to try to lose as Killer and which was far worse than the Regression-Meta before.
So yeah, overall it was a big failure. I think the idea of big Perk changes is great, but they should just focus on making weak Perks stronger to create more variety and if they want to nerf popular Perks, those should be MINOR Nerfs. E.g. I think the most recent Nerfs to Slowdown-Perks was quite nice, they are still really strong and are still used, but they are weaker. This is a good way to balance things. Not to destroy the Perks.
Eh, some of this is right, most of this is well off the mark.
- IW is just a problem perk and needs a rework. It's the reason I just cannot play Spirit anymore.
- Ruin was absolutely needed. It got overnerfed, sure - but this thing was a nightmare if it spawned in a weird spot.
- DS was a dumb nerf, partially reverted. 5 seconds back then…are the exact same as now. What? Time doesn't work like that.
- Self care was absolutely overnerfed.
It took the game into a few weird spaces but I think we're now in a decent spot - mostly. Slugging is getting a look, I really hope the devs finally fix the tricks to avoid AFK crows and do something about hiders.
On the other hand, the way they handled Skull Merchant may be one of the pettiest, most meanspirited things the devs have ever done and I'm still pretty annoyed about it, especially with Mandy basically gloating about it on a stream.

Anon Mode has always been used for this, I’m not sure where this idea of it “being used to prevent harassment” came from given that setting your profile to private did the exact same thing but better, because Steam lets you look for people you were matched with previously, completely bypassing the setting with minimal effort, at least on PC
Without fail, every single time someone has been a prick in-game, either through build choice, in-game chat, or in-game actions, they’ve hidden behind Anon Mode, I’ve had Anon’s take me hostage before, I’ve had Anon’s blatantly cheating, I’ve had Anon’s yell slurs at me in post-game chat, and honestly? I’ve just grown used to it and laugh at it now
It's mostly a streamer thing and also a response to an issue where people were using some sort of tool to grab folks' IP and harass them IRL, I think. This was a while back.
I like it. It means that I can have a public Steam profile for most of my games but can also play Hag.

We should blame BHVR for this. Most maps are too bad for survivors or they are just boring.
Autohaven, McMillan and Eyrie are balanced maps with old DbD style loops. Noone want to go maps like Alien, D&D, Knight maps.
What?
Borgo is pretty strong for survivors (not the Vecna map, that one is just a bad map overall).
Nostromo is decent for some killers…but sucks as a 110.
Autohaven and McMillan are fairly balanced for the most part, unhookable spot on IWOM notwithstanding.
That said - Garden of Joy exists, Swamp can still have near infinites if you get the log near the boat and there are plenty of maps that are somewhat survivor sided.

You mean the insanely killer heavy forums here? Gee, I wonder why they might be.
Midwich had been literally the most killer sided map in the game for years now. That's not just subjectively me saying that, that's the devs putting it map statistics every year and Midwich had consistently been "the most lethal map on the game with the highest kill rate" every year for at least the past 3 years. I don't believe they put out those stats after the Midwich map update, but I doubt anything has really changed. It's consistently the smallest map in the game.
They've done a *ton* Of map changes they don't highlight very well in patch notes. They changed tile weightings (to make things like jungle gyms spawn less often), changed tile spawn logic (to prevent tile chaining), they added instead "filler pallets" to dilute the map pool (see any "what the heck is this tile" or "how do you run this" post with a pallet held up by toothpicks as the only playable "loop" in that quarter of the map).
Pretty much all newer maps heavily favor the killer, including pretty much every rework. Macmillan, which you refer to as "survivor sided", used to be considered generally one of the most balanced realms in the entire game. We've shifted what "balanced" means and haven't touched those maps, that's all your statement means there. Which basically means they haven't been fully reworked into killer maps yet.
That is all part of the devs stated goal of 60% kill rates. They're intentionally making maps killer sided to make kills (and the game as a whole) easier for killers. And they've said directly it's not to make the game more "balanced" in the sense of being even, they're intentionally making it killer sided on purpose.
The…hahahaha what? Dude, no. What on earth are you on about.
These forums have always been survivor heavy. And I've been lurking for literal years now. Want a good example? Go read the threads after the SM gutting. It's wall to wall survivor gloating with a few irritated killers posting. But that's neither here nor there.
Where are the patch notes where they changed tile weightings to make it easier for killers? And where did they say they're making maps killer sided?
Newer maps do not favor killer at all. GoJ, anyone?
Coldwind is still pretty good for survivors. Midwich is still a bit killer sided but it's way better now. Hawkins rework is also significantly better. About the only map I can think of released in the last while that might be a bit killer sided is Nostromo, and that's more an issue of it being an amazing Nurse map.
Dude, you need to remove that tinfoil hat. I think it's cutting off circulation.

Getting out of tier 1 and not running out of tier 3 was very nice buffs but not to much different to how myers plays. The stalking from afar definitely helps get to tier 3 faster but tier 3 is still the same. I think he needs a faster breaking pallet speed when in tier 3 like how he has vaulting. Giving myers faster breaking speed can at least give myers some sort of chase power. The pre dropping gets so tedious and holding w is annoying. I play on controller so I hold joystick and my thumb starts to hurt from how much I have to hold it down when playing myers. Overall the buffs made playing pre buff myers better but didn’t make myers any stronger since being in tier 3 then and now is the same just more times so you can be more risky or careless with stalk. Okay but like if it's a situation where the last two survivors are just hiding you can just hook the first survivor you find and that's literally faster than bleeding someone out lmao.
Also that's not how game development works lol, players do not have access to the code only BHVR does and BHVR decides when and how to make changes to killers and BHVR does not have the best track record when making these changes in either direction see what they did to SM but also how they spent 3 years on a rework to twins that was so bad it made her the best killer in the game and got completely scrapped. Now did some survivors want SM to be deleted? Sure but every game has 12 year olds demanding things they don't like be deleted from whatever game they're playing but BHVR is one of the few devs to actually do it because they genuinely don't know how to balance SM and don't give themselves time to figure it out with their production schedule. But this is neither here nor there because the nerfing of SM is not a reason to slug random survivors, that is absolutely bizarre logic.
Two survivors hiding. Depends where and how? The major issue is…they are hiding. Now I cannot find them because they're savvy to the exploits to avoid getting crows at all and if they're smart, you will not find them.
I'm saying that yeah, stuff like what happened to SM and the amount of survivors gloating about it and championing it happening to more killers - note: without getting pushback from other survivors at all (seriously, go look at the threads), yeah. Killers are going to be a bit testy.
Now, if there had been some survivor mains in those threads saying 'yeah no this is bad BHVR and also knock it off, this isn't something to support' maybe it'd be a different matter.
But it wasn't. And I think a lot of killer mains saw this as survivors basically saying, as a group, that they support bad changes if it makes killers miserable. If they didn't, there would have been survivor mains all over those threads shouting it down and maybe it would have been reversed?
Who knows. It is what it is now.

Otherwise regression is in a good place overall. DMS+PR might be a tiny bit too good still and Grim probably needs a rework as it's a snowball machine.

@Iron_Cutlass said:
Literally what is the point of this perk?
You have to spend 60 second in basement doing nothing, does not progress the objective/Generators in any meaningful way. It leaves you permanently Broken for the entire game once it is completed and for the game to play a universal sound cue and notification telling the Killer that this perk is active.
For the trade-off of being able to get 2 seconds of Aura Reading when they alert of a crow… only problem is that you often alert crows before this perk can even get value since you are leading the chase and often pass through an area first. So NOW you need to use two perk slots instead of just one perk slot to get value from this perk by using Calm Spirit.
Calm Spirit is also an awful perk that has its own issues, often being detrimental to the game if certain Killer perks are in play.
Oh yea, and did I mention that this perk does not stack with other Invocation Perk? Meaning youd need to waste another 60 seconds if you wanted to pair this perk with other Invocation Perks.
Also many Killers just ignore scaring crows altogether or ignore the aura reading altogether. Meaning that you can get a Killer that's sole existence just nullifies the perk's effect. A prime example of this is Wraith, they dont alert crows (unless the touch their hitbox) while cloaked, they are also Undetectable while cloaked which means that aura reading does not work on them.
Ultimately… what is the point of this perk? Ive never seen a perk be this poorly designed and awful.
It's a bit like No Mither.
The answer is…basically 'memes'.

No. It's hard to do anything about on a regular killer and all but impossible to do against an instadown killer, especially Billy. It's a genuinely crap thing to go up against.
How to fix it without basically letting unhookable squads or hide-and-seekers take games hostage until the killer DCs? That's a good question and there are one or two decent suggestions in amongst the noise.

Very few teams are truly unhookable and hiding is not a reason to slug somebody. Like a "hider squad" isn't even a real thing lmao.
As far as SM goes very few people actually liked SM, killer players included. But survivors didn't get SM removed, that was BHVR's choice. It's also BHVR's choice to not visit killers for 1 years+ so slugging survivors because of things the devs did sounds insane to me tbh.
Yeah they really can be, if they're smart.
And I'd rather waste 4 minutes of time than 20+ because those two with the stealth perks know how to avoid getting crows.
Hider squad = absolutely a real thing. It might be an EU thing because I see them sometimes on Otz's stream and I've run into a Russian TTV group twice now and one literally has 'hide and seek pro' or something on his profile.
But even just 2 hiding can take the game hostage for ages.
Survivors absolutely got skull merchant nerfed. Go look at the maybe 10+ threads after she got gutted, where there were wall to wall survivors going 'good', 'deserved', 'mission accomplished', 'now just delete her without refund'. BHVR pulled the trigger, but they didn't load the gun.
Not many killers play Hag. Hag is also a 'hated' killer. Should BHVR deliberately nerf her into unplayability for years?

If you sometimes got blastmined or chem trapped when hooking, on a scale from 1-10 how frustrating would that be for you?
Blast mine would be a fun inclusion. Would allow for some easy unhooks.

You're not slugging to finish the game, you're slugging to drag it out. If you hooked that survivor, you'd be finishing the game.
The only time I'll mass slug is to finish the game.

that is allowed to go unpunished in this game.
I watched a streamer who plays Billy and he is extremely good with him but he plays every match by slugging the entire team and bleeding them out in EVERY match.
How is this not considered griefing?
He does it very intentionally to make the experience as miserable as possible for anyone he verses and seems to get great joy from it. He has been streaming on and off for years and every match he seems to go out of his way to make the experience as miserable as possible for everyone else.
It sucks. Yeah I've run into a few TTVs who were absolutely horrible.
I wish there was an easy solution to spite sluggers like this, problem is:

They need to nuke this play-style. Game need to be fun for both sides, not only one player. Other 4 players in match is matter too.
Unfortunately this playstyle is also 100% essential when those 4 other players start getting up to shenanigans like abusing certain map offerings/perk combinations to become unhookable. Or do nothing but hide and seek.

If the entire team is slugged, and none of them have a way to pick themselves off the ground, and none of the exit gates are open…. Then the game should just auto sacrifice the entire team.
If the game is honestly over, then the game should just immediately end.
Agreed…but I worry this would incentivize mass slugging further.

I sincerely hope that changes, my friend. It will be healthier for the game if slugging gets addressed.
It's 100% on their radar. I just hope the solution doesn't wind up potentiating griefing from the other side.

"Slugging is counterable by doing gens" - So the person slugged still has to sit for 4 minutes being bled out.
"Slugging is counterable by picking your teammates up" - As if that's not what people are trying to do?
These aren't counters, this is normal game play and clearly its still an issue.Sometimes it is 100% a counter.

Survivors don't need more ways to ragequit that bypass the DC penalties.
Just have the survivors automatically teleport to a 2v8 cage if they have been slugged for 1 minute. That puts a time limit on slugging, and fixes your problem.
I…huh.
I actually really like this idea.

That's a bad comparison. People letting go is a representative of how terrible survivor gameplay has become from terrible balance. Killers are preventing survivors from playing the game which is griefing. It's essentially cyber bullying.
Cyber…bullying…what?
No. That's an absurd comparison and bordering on offensive. Plus, for every game where the killer has bled the entire team out, I've had a game where survivors have tried to stall the match out by being unhookable or hiding forever.
That's also not why survivors suicide.
Want proof?
It was just as common back before the big 6.1 patch, when the game was incredibly survivor sided. I'm an incredibly chill killer and I see a ton of quitters, much as I do when I dip a toe into solo queue.
People quit because they can do so without penalty.

this isn’t a thread for people to say “all killers _____” or “all survivors _______”
this is to discuss actual problems and how to fix them. Problems like tunneling, slugging, flashlight squads, sneaking survivors.
for me I have 2: one survivor one killer.
For survivor:Slugging. I invited my friend to play and on out 2nd match that day he was slugged by a huntress on lery’s without a way for us to get him up without us also getting slugged. On our 6th match we were 3 Man slugged by a Billy on garden of joy but luckily we both made it out by the last person up. There isn’t any counterplay by being on the ground nor is there a way to get up without unbreakable.
for killer:Blinding squads:
it feels like every time I get happy or feel like I’m improving I get hit with a bully squad or worse a blind squad. I’m not calling anyone who uses a flashlight one of these but the people who go out of their way to blind the killer any chance, never allow a pickup, and abuse any perks that are broken atm. They ruin the game cause you lose all pressure when they have 3 gens done and you have 2 downs and 0 hooks. It is the worst feeling I’ve had in any game when your skills don’t matter they are on comms and decided to make your life worse.
Hmm.
Right now, as a survivor - most of my friends list is taking a break because the event is borked (offerings actually give you less BP half the time and this will likely not be fixed as devs are all on holiday). So…probably solo queue players suiciding on hook on the first down or sometimes for seemingly zero reason, in completely winnable games.
As a killer? Hook suicides and survivor groups who will hide for the entire match, avoiding AFK crows to try and make me DC.

@CipherMRV said:
All they need to do is make it so that if 2 or more survivors are slugged then you can pick yourself up from the ground if you are fully recovered
See above.
I get sent to Ormond by a full SWF. They have sabos, everyone is running Boil Over and the second someone is chased they run to <redacted>, where they literally cannot be hooked from. At present, the only way to handle them is to slug as much as possible and try to prevent pickups.
How do I handle this situation where everyone can just pick themselves back up?
-
@sockposs said:
What if we just let survivors that have maxed out their self mend press their active ability button to get up at the cost of a hook state and taking the incapacitated status effect for a while to prevent them from immediately picking up other survivors (or anything to prevent them from picking others up), also functioning as a bleed out button when survivors are at 2 hooks. This would make slugging all survivors significantly less powerful since it is no longer a win condition while remaining easy to understand and not completely killing off slugging as a situational strategy (for example when you know someone is about to go for a save) or taking away too much of a killers reward for snowballing and getting multiple downs in a row (up to 4 hooks as a reward, spread throughout the team)
(also some form of basekit deerstalker because I absolutely hate losing slugs)It's…an idea.
@BroRespectTheBoop said:
Unbreakable should be basekit as a once per hook state with a 60-90 second requirement to prevent killers from slugging multiple people at once.. there are countless times where ill see a killer slug 2 people and then get greedy to go for a 3rd, sometimes even 4 and you're just stuck
How do you deal with unhookable squads then? You know, the ones running Boil Over and similar perks who'll send you to DDS, Asylum, Ormond etc. where there are multiple spots where there is only 1 hook spawn (that can be easily sabod) or you cannot hook someone if they have BO at all, sometimes without even bodyblocking required.
It would also completely break the balance at higher levels of play.
Also - wait. Aren't you the person who defended teams hiding all game to grief and threatened to quit if it was reportable?
I think I can understand why you'd want that…ugh.
@StalkingYou said:
I love how every single thing the killer can do in this game is seen as a problem that needs an immediate solution. Survivors can do whatever they want to win and that's fine. When the Killer does the same, we need 4 more basekit meta perks.
Eh.
Heavy slugging because it's the only way to counter a TTV group that refuses to progress the game and just wants to meme on you forever with sabos, boil over and saves? Or because it's a hide and seek squad? 100% justified.
Heavy slugging because you just want to waste everyone's time? That probably needs a fix.
How do you fix one without the other? That's a puzzle.

Depends on the build, but short answer is sort what it always has been. You'll need to learn spawns.

Im open to other ideas though so far i just replaced plot twist with iron will since it + dead hard gives a pretty good synergy during the event and allows me to just focus other stuff. i greatly prefer playing healthy though.Inner Strength is decent, Pharmacy isn't a bad choice either.

Perks cannot be toxic they're perks they're part of the game lmao. Beyond that I don't know why the DBD community seems so conspiracy brained and thinks there's a hidden meaning behind everything to justify toxicity it's just weird.
That being said there is nothing that justifies 4 man slugging unless you're Oni or Billy or some other snowball killer cuz yeah that happens organically all the time. But Chucky? Nah this is just a killer that wanted to grief and probably found a reason to justify it after. The game lets you do that so it's whatever, BHVR should do something about it but they don't so nothing the players can do about it. But can we stop with the bizarre justifications for it? If you do that as killer just say the survivors annoyed you and you wanted to be a dick to them or that you get off on it instead of doing some cringe ######### like saying they deserved it for X reason like it's e-justice or something cuz it's really not lol.
Unhookable squads. Hider squads.
Also - Skull Merchant. Not trying to whatabout but I'm not all that open to complaints about killer actions being 'justified' when survivors all but got a killer removed from the game by quitting. And then gloated about it and called for people who mained SM to be punished further.

By this Logic no Killer would ever get nerfed, you are literally excusing away any bad gameplay problem as Survivors just needing more faith in their own abilities.
I think the main problem is that you refer to absurd gameplay as slightly and mildy infuriating, when its actually making people quit.
That's such a mischaracterization of what people are saying that…what?
No. Some killers need a nerf. Skull Merchant may well have needed one too. But this wasn't a case of adjusting a killer's kit for balance reasons. This was something else entirely that - yes - sets a really bad precedent.
What people have a problem with is:
- Deliberately nerfing her to the point of uselessness to get people to stop playing her because of quitters.
- Destroying a killer because of people quitting.
- People massively exaggerating how strong some killers are (just look in this thread in regards to Wraith of all things.
- The gloating and vindictive attitude of survivors post nerfs (lol not far enough just delete her with no compensation).
People quit against Skull Merchant because people quit against Skull Merchant. It was a holdover meme from her Chess Merchant days.
Now people are worried because this could just as easily happen to Hag, Doctor, Trapper, Plague, Cenobite, Wraith, Billy, Chucky (oh wait), Artist, Dracula, Bubba, Trickster, Huntress and any other killer that rubs people up the wrong way.

good game sense
I typically find the largest complainers of this "two survivors hiding problem" are missing this vital piece. Especially because the complaints claim this happens "regularly".
Sounds like, if people are "regularly" completely stomping teams, as some people claim, to where this is a problem then there's tons of room in their build as well.
Whispers (uncounterable, will locate the survivors for you), pick an aura read (distortion got nerfed just for this), and since they have to move to avoid crowds the killer could pick iron maiden instead. Pick one.
The only reason this might happen regularly is if the killer lacks have sense and also thinks they need 4 slowdowns every game. So I agree with you, let's see some of their gameplay.
I'm not sure if it's intentional, but your posts tend to carry a really sarcastic tone that puts my back up.
I definitely don't regularly stomp teams, I'd say I 'win' about half the time. But I also play relatively chill, rotate through most of the killers and struggle to stick to one at a time - which may be a product of my own quite severe adult-diagnosis ADHD. This also does affect my gameplay, in that I lose track of people so I already run information heavy. At least 2 slots.
There is no room in my builds.
Generally you'll see me with Discordance, Oppression/PR, DMS/Grim and maybe BBQ or FOR. Some killers I generally don't run info on, like Hag or Trapper, because I really need Corrupt to give me setup time. On Ghosty or someone I'll drop one regression for an LP/PR/FOR/JC build which is extremely info heavy.
Whispers can work but whispers is a temperamental creature. Often all it'll do is tell you 'hey, there is a survivor hiding somewhere on this half of The Game. It's also not something killers should be really expected to run every game on the off chance I have hiders.
But sure. I'll see if I can record the next time I get a hiding pair and I'll pop it up on YouTube or something.

They have even waited till the last second then pick them up and hook or mori just to waste as much time as possible
Then either you need to start buying lotto tickets or you're telling pork pies.

"We cannot, CANNOT keep asking BHVR to just nerf every Killer we find even mildly annoying to go against. Come on now, have some faith in your abilities."
Abilities have nothing to do with it, or should I say little to do with it. Nurse (and any of the many killers that were stronger than SM at her peak) do not make at least one survivor DC/quit every single game. No one wanted to play a match with her regardless on if they could win or not. The "bad precedent" was her existence.
Yes. Because Nurse is just overpowered.
Skull Merchant was a full on meme. It was the quitting equivalent of mass hysteria. People quit because people quitting against SM was just the done thing. And that's why people describe it as a bad precedent - a killer that needed a few tweaks at best got viciously nerfed to deliberately stop people playing her, in exchange for some vague rework in 2028 or whenever they get around to it.
Take that into consideration. This wasn't a nerf to balance her. This was a nerf to stop people playing her.
About the only thing that needed a change was her dormant drones as these could be oppressive in chase due to how hard they were to spot.

There's literally now people on these very forums claiming that Killers such as Ghostface, Trapper, Wraith, and Myers need nerfs after they JUST got much needed buffs this past year, why? Because they have mildly annoying gameplay elements and people for some reason cannot handle learning their counterplay.
These are M1 Killers. Just loop them.
This was literally not a problem even two years ago, nobody complained about these things even six months ago, but now we all do? Why? Just because we successfully got Skurchent nerfed to the point it's gonna be next year before she gets any help at all? Do we really, seriously now, search your soul, want Killers especially M1 Killers to be SO basic, bland, boring, and toothless that they can do next to nothing just because f mechanics BHVR messed up coding? How is that fair to their players? How is that fair to anyone? How does that even challenge us to continue to get better? So what changed? It's obvious - Skurchent was successfully protest-DCed against so much even after needed gameplay changes that she is now nerfed to D tier, just like Freddy before her, and we're starting to see knockon effects on other Killers too. Chucky, who was pretty much OK before his nerf and just needed minor tweaks. Houndmaster is being called at for nerfs after just getting buffs she really needed. Dracula has repeatedly been subjected to nerfs, some of which he didn't need and which make his gameplay feel clunky to his players. I'm seeing Wraith hatred on the upswing again too, not because he can facecamp and proxy easily but because he's apparently "too quick" coming out of cloak. Most recently I am seeing repeated calls for Ghostface's reveal and leanstalking, both of which have always been buggy for the player and the Survivors against him, to be nerfed JUST AFTER he got the most minor of QoL buffs that he absolutely needed, and that everyone agrees mostly still isn't enough to make him viable.
We cannot, CANNOT keep asking BHVR to just nerf every Killer we find even mildly annoying to go against. Come on now, have some faith in your abilities.
What on earth happened to us as Survivor players, the same ones who lived through 3Gen meta? Survivors used to believe in learning tiles and counterplay, using synergy, and TRYING. Where did that go? Are we all really so soft in 2024/2025 that we can't handle dealing with Killers multiple years old now just because they got the minorest of minor QoL buffs to help them keep up with the pace of the game? Are we as Survivor players really so addicted to NEEDING to pop gens in five seconds and loop for multiple gens just because Hens can do it?We're not all Hens. That's OK.
I just don't understand why we now have this need to cry for the blood of any Killer that even remotely has ANYTHING even slightly frustrating to deal with. Surely, there's more constructive ways. These Killers and their players DO NOT deserve to have their favorites nerfed into the ground just because we're all too weak-willed to simply learn the counterplay, counterplay that is often very easy to learn.
What happened to Survivors? Why do we all seem to need our hands held now? Where on earth is our dignity as players? Surely there's worse issues in the game to address than this, right?
Yes, but that ship has unfortunately sailed, come back, sailed again and discovered a previously undiscovered continent. We saw it with Freddy, we saw it with Twins, we saw it with Trickster (with a rework that somehow made him arguably weaker) and now with SM.
It sucks, but what can you do?

- He is insanely fast in his stealth mode that can completely ignore every survivors haste perk
- Unfair and busted speed boost after uncloaking that makes all loops unsafe and can get guaranteed hit every single time
- Op addons that makes him from slightly annoying killer to very painful to face (specially Coxcombed Clapper, "All Seeing" - Spirit and "Shadow Dance" - Blood)
- He is very ping dependant killer just like Huntress (if you have a bad ping against this 2 killers you screwed)
- Wraith is biggest tunneler and camper and hes power has perfect synergy with this strategy.
- Bodyblocking that is very easy with his insane speed at 6 m/s.
- He is stealth killer with no downside (no reveal mechanic, no lullaby, insane speed, very sneaky - if gen is around 80% and more hes noises almost unnoticable and bell with iri addon is complete silent, so you have no idea hes coming until its to late).
Wraith is upper mid tier at best, and takes a lot of skill to do that.
- He takes forever to decloak.
- It's absolutely not. At absolute best you can force a 50/50 against a good survivor.
- His addons are fantastic, and should be the baseline for future addons for killer. They do not make him slightly OP.
- Cuts both ways. The amount of times I've hit a hatchet that got validated…
- Hahahaha. (*takes a breath*).. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!
- That's basically his only power against decent survivors.
- He has a lullaby (growling). If I can hear it over gens with my ancient years, anyone can.
This may be the weirdest bias I've seen for a while.
Blight? Sure.
Nurse? Absolutey.
Billy? Eh…maybe?
Wraith? Wrath is fine.

Like I said before, a bully squad is subjective. Some people consider bully squads to be people that gen rush. Some people consider bully squads to be anyone that uses head on and flashbangs… for their designed purpose. At the end of the day, a bully squad is self-defined by the killer as a scapegoat to why they lost a match, or as a reason to spite survivors for doing nothing but being competent and competitive.
No matter what your definition or my definition of what a bully squad are, it is simply not the same as griefing by the game's own report system: "Griefing - Report this player for intentionally using abilities or game mechanics to the detriment of the game. Examples: Taking the game hostage, body blocking, working with the killer." No matter how much a killer doesn't like flashbangs or head on, using them in a coordinated team to try and win is not "to the detriment of the game."
Ah, griefer squads just…don't exist because…I guess killer bad?
Keep in mind that hide and seek squads fit that definition but nobody has ever been banned for it that I can find out, or people abusing spots where the killer cannot hit or pick them up…which Mandy confirmed isn't bannable a few years back (with the DDS spot AFAIR). So clearly this is another instance where the rules as written are not the rules as enforced. But that's another discussion.
I'm saying that it's a team or majority team running a coordinated strategy to be annoying outside of the standard win condition. If your goal isn't just to win but instead to try and make the other side miserable without any incitement, that's griefing.
Now - the grey area is stuff like abusing flashbang+BGP to drop unavoidable flashbangs inside the killer model to cause unavoidable saves. Or abusing Boil Over and spots where you literally cannot hook them to 'win', which I consider exploiting.

So just to do some super rudimentary testing, I did a 100% fun game with no offering at all, and no streamers/cobblers, nothing to modify my BP gain. No hits, no chasing, no downs, no hooks. This was at 100% killer bonus. The result: 41,263 BP that game. That's my baseline.
Then I did a game with the event offering and no streamers/cobblers, nothing else to modify the BP gain. No hits, no chasing, no downs, no hooks. Again, at 100% bonus. The result: uh, 1,449 BP. That's not a typo. One thousand four hundred and forty nine BP. Throughout the game, it was showing that BP was being awarded for event activities, but none of it actually was.
(That's actually both games combined, for the mathemagicians among us.)
In both games I did the full range of event activities: we threw snow skulls at each other until the bonus stopped, risky revelry high fives, ran around and threw snow skulls at decoy snowmen, booped decoy snowmen on the snoot to get the bullseye bonus, spam created snowmen, etc. All of that until the bonus stopped. When I was using Mistle Toes, none of that was actually awarded.
TL;DR:
Don't use the Mistle Toes offering! Not only does it not work, but it works against you!

I explained it here for you. You can't really grief an opponent if you are helping your team by slowing the killer down, that's a valid strategy. Slugging out for 4 minutes when hooking is available could be considered griefing because you are wasting everyone else's time out of spite.
Note: you called my definition 'wrong', without elaboration. You still haven't provided your own definition.
You absolutely can be a griefer by 'helping your team'. It depends, yet again, on intent and context.
People try to justify BMing and being a jerk because 'I was trying to put the killer on tilt so we could win'. It's still being a jerk.
People try to justify abusing the flashbang bugs or unhookable spots 'because it helps us to win'. You're still being a jerk.
And…okay, once again. We don't know anything about what happened there because there's one screenshot and important details were deliberately erased. The killer is carrying a survivor. We don't know if this is a bleedout from spite or a group who were proving very difficult to hook and this was simply counterplay. Maybe in the next few seconds he's hooking the rest of them? Maybe he's the jerk?
We don't know. We can't know. Because the OP won't show us more. And that's suspicious.
