Wow you have a terrible memory. Legion was terrible in his PTB because Deep Wounds stopped while mending. It was only after that was changed did moonwalking matter.
yes it stopped while mending, but it also was able to be cheesed by moonwalking in the ptb and that was the biggest issue that was a lot of the reason he got nerfed this time. even in the ptb even if you stopped to mend if the killer kept pressure up he could run the timer down by not looking at you and keep you moving so you could not mend, hence the problem in the PTB was prevalent then and was more prevalent after they changed the mend. So it would appear that you have a terrible memory.
-
really the games decline started when they started listening to killers crying about exhaustion perks, so they changed them. then killers started crying about healing speeds... so they changed them... then they released Legion with his exploitable chase mechanics. after survivors said hey this is broken during the original PTB. 6 months later they changed Legion. the Devs have been catering to killers this whole last year. The game has declined in population the more and more they keep listening to the killers. its about time they start to listen to survivors for once maybe we can get this game back to a healthy game population and growing some more, instead of watching it die a very slow death.
-
you know its funny that killers are crying, during the original ptb before he was released survivors complained about how the deep wound timer could be spoofed and none of you killers that are crying right now said hey lets get this fixed. survivors was met with criticism of get good and crap talk like that. now fast forward six months the problem was so glaring they had to listen to survivors to get it fixed it was killing the game the way he was. killers had no intention of trying to resolve the problem before Legion got released. so by not working with survivors to resolve the issue in the original ptb you guys literally gave up your chance to shape it to something that was good for all. you want to thank some one for the nerf thank the legions who spoofed the chase mechanic. keep crying killers love seeing the salt it is of your own doing.
-
thats great you played him fair, the problem was tons didnt. hence the need for changes. to further expand on this during the Legion Ptb before his release it was already known that people was spoofing chase timers by moonwaking. and he was still released that way. he never should have been. was you saying hey lets fix this before release? no probably not so the people who didnt want legion touched should have spoke up when the survivors was speaking up about it to get it fixed. now hes been fixed with out killers input about it because they failed to speak up when they should have.
-
yes people who abused Legion mechanics are dead and wont play him no more. good players will adapt.

Y'all are overreacting, you don't have to buy the season pass if you really don't want to support BHVR. Also, they have to make money somehow so why are y'all bashing them for trying to run a business?
they make money off DLC and cosmetics in the store. i would much rather see them do away with buying cosmetics with iridescence shards then add in a pass.
-
I think a pass would be stupid for them to implement. it would also push a lot away from the game. just keep the cosmetics locked off behind auric cells if people want to then they can spend the money to get them. you try to force a pass on people it will not end good for BHVR.

Really stop fearmongering or worrying about DbD becoming Epic Store exclusive. There is no reason to believe it's happening or considered. And it would be a horrible risky move for them. Do you really think they would risk abandoning their current Steam playerbase?
No the only thing I could see is them starting to sell the game on other stores as well, if possible. But that's nothing to worry about as long it stays on steam.
I do not consider it fear mongering just curious what others have for opinions on this. as well on what they think about this prospect.

@LvGamer34 said:
Just NEVER know what BHVR will do.
yea it seems lots of game companies/developers have been taking the cash and running to Epic we really have no clue what BHVR will do but it seems possible that it could happen.
-
@BoxingRouge said:
BHVR already wants to work on this game for another 5 more years, so I don’t think you need to worry about them selling DBD to a cash grab company.
they could still sign an exclusivity deal with them.

Its still on steam
it is still on steam for the time being. https://arstechnica.com/gaming/2019/05/epic-acquires-rocket-league-studio-bringing-game-to-epics-store-this-year/
-
@Delfador said:
Why do you even think about that?
Like what kind of question gave you that impression lol
It is a stupid move and I don't even give it a chance. It is gonna remain on steam.
the Battle pass type question, Tournament modes, Leaderboards, all pushing more towards a competitive scene, for example like with Rocket league lots seem to think they will offer the game for free on Epic Games store and just stick to the battle pass loot boxes as form of income. we already know Epic Games is approaching game companies that have high reviews on steam and player base to try to get them on board.
-
@Incurable_BOFA said:
Considering DBD has been out on Steam for almost 3 years I wouldn't count on it
how long was Rocket League out on steam? as it happened to Rocket League.
-
@Judith said:
I am actually scared they might turn this game into battle royale or something with battle passes and loot boxes.
this survey just tells me that BHVR is going to be selling DbD out to the Epic games store exclusively in the near future. sadly when this happens a lot of people will stop supporting the game and any streamer who supports the move.
-
all that would happen is people would focus on getting better at skill checks and it would instantly become a worthless perk at that point. right now lazy survivors don't focus on hitting great skill checks. this would train them to do just that.
-
Title. Obviously the easy solution is fix genrushing, but that isn't happening anytime soon, so it feels like hex ruin is a must.
this would be great will survivors get a dedicated exhaustion or healing perk slot?
-
I want to know the disconnect rates against all killers individually. IE Huntress,Nurse,Legion,Doctor
-
Have you guys ever considered leaving the ptb open at all times and removing the rank on it and just using that as a casual mode and allow that group of players to endlessly test things for you at the same time.
-
Have you guys ever experimented with removing deep wounds all together and making legions frenzy hit just do a debuff depending on the cosmetic of the legion killer. IE like frank his frenzy hit would cause exhaustion for 60 seconds, susie would cause Mangled and so on and so forth?
-
ok so around 32 seconds into the match i see with 4 gens left and four survivors alive that the end game is triggered killer opened the door. so now seems new killer meta will be bloodwarden rancor noed and haunted ground. down some one open the gate hang them.
-
my hopes for the legion change, simple leave legion mostly the same way remove deep wounds to a dying state, instead make it so if you fail to mend you receive a 5% mangled effect permanently for the remainder of the match stacking up to 30% in total so this would still keep it so he still slows down the game. but don't reward people to much by cheesing the chase timer, allowing for a more enjoyable to play as and against encounter.
-
@Peanits said:
While that would be very cool and would make for some awesome scares, it's also something you probably wouldn't want to do in an actual game. You would have to position yourself ahead of time and just hope that a survivor comes by. The entire time you're in that locker the survivors would be free to work on generators, so there's a good chance you would be sitting there for over a minute with generators popping off left and right just for a chance to get one hit.
but what if when getting in the locker literally gave the terror radius to all the generators on the map that has not been repaired. sorta like a backwards insidious.

@EqMonkVeeshan do you care to post a larger clip that shows that he was actually being faceous? Or are you going to defend this out of context clip? It is against forum rules to post anything that is false or inaccurate. Your clip is designed to create an argument, which is also a violation of forum rules.
go watch his vod if you want to see for your self. I clipped it because I wanted to show a few friends what he had said. as I told them, if they want to hear the whole context of it they are more then welcome to go check out his vod as well.

So, it looks like I was right after all about her. Just like last time, albeit not as bad as Legion, she's just a mid-tier killer.
yep you was right she needs to have a massive negative added to her infection to force survivors to cleanse. right now, if i get into a match with plague and I see some one cleansing and powering her up if they get hooked. i don't save them best to let them die and go short handed.

Need "Deep wounds" to not count down while in killer's TR. Then he would not be as easily abused. Proximity chasing to allow DW countdown to tick down is a real abuse of legion.
except it be even more easily to abuse if it goes off TR perks like Tinkerer and plagues terror perk would be way to OP with that kind of rules. the whole problem with legion is deep wounds being attached to Feral frenzy.
-
just remove the timer and deep wounds and put a different effect in its place like mangled and he would be fixed.

It will only hurt those SWF who wanna bully low rank killers
it would make people who couldn't play with their friends quit the game entirely. for example I play 24 hours a week my sister plays two hours a week she only logs in to play with me. I am much higher rank then she is. but she spends far more money on cosmetics then I do. but this change would make her where she would no longer log in and play at all and she would no longer dump money on cosmetics for the game. the only way this change would work is if they had a casual mode. but honestly I think most players would only play casual mode if there was two modes. i know id only play casual mode rank means crap.
-
I remember a live stream where devs said there was a DC threshold algorithm that punished players for DC'ing more than a certain % of the time (I believe it was 33% but can't quite remember).
if they enforced the punishment, there would be no one left to play. they need to fix what is making these people dc. Legion comes to mind its really pushed DCing into the mainstream. no one wants to play against Legion, masses DC against him and will continue to do so getting Banned only hurts the game as it puts less people in the player pools. that is why they wont do a casual mode/ranked mode they do not want to diminish/split the player pool. they just need to fix the real problems that are causing the DCs. this will get even worse when dedicated servers come out. mostly due to lots of survivors using MLGA and MLGA will not work with dedicated servers.
-
I said the perk leak was Intentional the day it happened... *yawn* marketing at it's best.... do a licensed dlc at the same time Dedicated servers comes out hmm yep totally planned... got to build more hype.....
-
Reality check for you guys. You are depiping (3 pips) and maybe getting banned. You are shooting yourself in the foot.
most are at the point they could not care if they got banned or not with how bad the game is in its current form. that actually says a lot about how the games changed over the last 6 months. more people that get banned means less people to play against, maybe listen to the complaints and assist in helping get things changed. to where both sides can have fun and not face annoying mechanics/perks. or we may end up seeing a much much longer wait time for matches on both sides.
-
@NoShinyPony said:
The old pipping system was too easy, the new one is too hard. It's more extreme for survs than for killers. As you described it correctly, survivors split the work. You can't loop the killer for 3 gens, repair 3 gens and unhook 3 survivors in one single match. That's unrealistic. If you get 4 x Gold, you don't pip. That's not how it should be.
I agree that is why I made the suggestion above. I feel my suggestion would resolve a lot of the problems.
-
the simple fix is put the pip at 9 points for killer and survivor. then just tie the safety pip to your rank brown ranks require 6 points to safety green ranks require 7 to safety 8 for purples and no safety at red ranks. 1 gold and 3 silver is a fair emblem score to pip at any rank for survivor or killer. just make the safety net raise up if you want to remain at higher ranks. this would do a better job at giving an actual reflection of skill then the current system. at the same time require some one to play at a higher level more consistently if they want to rank up.
-
yea me and a few friends was discussing this it should take 9 points to pip. 1 gold 3 silver to pip isn't bad. the thing that needed to move was the safety pip. make it so brown ranks require 6 points to safety, green ranks 7 to safety, purple ranks 8 and red ranks no safety pip.

If the killer gets a "after hitting a survivor 3 times, the 4th hit on a survivor grants you an instadown" perk then I'll agree.
Can't see that happening though.
You Familiar with Make your choice? If not you should check it out. basically its a free down if you hit the right person.
-
Yes shards are for shrine only. if I want Cosmetics or new chapters I will buy Auric cells or the chapters directly, but currently I won't spend a dime on the game until they roll out some fixes to certain areas of the game.
-
since Legion has come out lots more have turned to DCing more often, not just against Legion but also other killers. I know several that never would have DCed before legion release now they have no issues with doing it. they view it as, if Behavior wants to ban them because Behavior has poor design on some killers/add ons then that is money out of Behaviors pocket further down the road. they can always find another game to play. Legion has just amplified the the Issue.
-
They could resolve a lot of the Issues people can't stand about the Legion if they just removed Deep wounds from his frenzy. deep wounds is just horrible game design choice that never should have been implemented. Franks Mix tape add on is a close second with Legions skill set. how ever my normal SWF group we have change our actions towards Legion. we used to all DC soon as we saw it was legion. but instead of flagging a DC on our account and losing the little blood points from DCing. we now race to see who can die first and it gets pretty cut throat. but most of all its fun! it is the only way to play against a legion and enjoy it! to lose because you Kobe sucks! but hey its part of the fun of this play style against Legion!
-
any decent survivor isn't running a healing based perk. they run useful perks and find others to get healed or use a med kit to heal them selves. If they was to select a healing type perk they would select self care over this any day of the week.
-
I have zero issue with DC against legion. I never DCed in this game till Legion come out. I will continue to DC against legion until he is reworked. his current form is garbage and will continue to be as long as Deep wounds is the base of his power,. if they left him exactly how he is but removed deep wounds from the legion. the Legion would be fifty times more enjoyable to play against I probably wouldn't DC against him. but will they make the change, probably not.

no I just do not want to see killers cheesing the chase countdown timer. just as I hate seeing survivors gen tapping its a disgrace and both these instances should be fixed/penalized heavily when people are doing it.Here are the rules, that you don’t seem to understand. Please read them, and see where you are making some incorrect assumptions:
so guess you should read it as well. as it clearly states in there
"EXPLOITS: ABUSING BUGS OR ERRORS IN DESIGN TO GAIN A COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGE
Advertising exploits
Exploit bugs, errors in design, or undocumented features to gain access to what otherwise would not be available or to obtain a competitive advantage
In-game report REQUIRED / Customer Support ticket OPTIONAL"cheesing the chase timer countdown so it counts down while in a chase would be exploiting errors in design or exploiting a bug. when it is clearly stated that they intend the timer to pause when your in a chase. so exploiting this loop hole that allows you to chase some one and keep the timers counting down should be looked at.hence why i made the post on the forums to let them know that this was happening. so they could look into fixing the issue at hand.

how dare the killer be able to down survivors at all!
this is embarrassing, he's already the worst killer in the game and you want to continue the nerfs?no I just do not want to see killers cheesing the chase countdown timer. just as I hate seeing survivors gen tapping its a disgrace and both these instances should be fixed/penalized heavily when people are doing it. it is so funny being called biased when I am dead set in the middle on the killer/survivor thing. in fact i was one of the outspoken survivors during the PTB of the spirit really pushing for buffs to her. the fact you can literally be chased around have the chase music playing and your timer counting down is just wrong and killers are utilizing this method, hence there needs to be a change to it. if they want to have it so the timer counts down in a chase I am fine with that but they would have to heavily scale back his frenzy movement speed as its laughably a free hit if you get remotely near a survivor, and we know killers hate when something is free like DS right. whats so funny is killers for months was crying about how DS was a free escape. yet when it comes to killers getting things free they defend it like its the end of the world.
-
ok here is another one i had today when playing killer. can we get gen placement looked at? this is garbage. all three gens within a 20 meter circle with two being upstairs. i could literally stand outside the house watch the gen on the outside and see the stairs up to the other two at the same time.
Poorgenplacement.jpg -
I agree gen placement needs to be looked at. other day was in a random solo que match on swamp and literally two gens right next to each others so close that I got leader from the person working on the other gen. this should in my opinion never happen. some will say it was because he ran by me but the fact is he didn't we both finished our gens about 10 seconds apart and I kept the leadership for the duration of doing the gen over 40 seconds with neither of us moving. i have also seen two gens spawn upstairs in a Haddonfield house. one on the left side room from the stairs and one in the right side room both upstairs.
