Initially I had it on all the time but found my games became significantly more sweaty. I tried having it off to see if it would change that and to see if que times would be affected much.
Games were alot more laid back and que times were pretty much the same so I've had it off since
-
Rarely since every time I use it I get found and hooked first or never hooked at all
-
I would say he's still playable on console but is ALOT harder with not just controller but the lower fps. His addons are actually a massive help to practice him with, I would use them first to practice with then try without when you're more comfortable with him
-
I feel the same. Some of these bugs are so game breaking that they just completely suck the fun out of the game which is such a shame because blight is so fun even if he is hard to use
-
Id say they're fair but I can definitely see why some might think they are overkill on stronger killers like spirit and nurse. With that said, it simply sounds like those survivors were just salty and looking for an excuse to why you beat them.
-
Good old disturbed ward with it's super secret spots.....
-
My bet is clown or huntress' addons, hopefully JUST her addons and not her base kit
-
Self care tends to get used in a very selfish and time wasting way. When it's used correctly or with other perks that speed up the time it's ok but alot of people dont do this. It's even more infuriating when they use it instead of letting a survivor whose right next to them heal them.
I had a game were I used an anti healing build on Oni( sloppy, distressing, coulrophobia, thanatophobia) and a claudette was self caring ontop of the church window while I was chasing the other 3 in that area. She was up there for a good 80-90 seconds, didnt even bother to move away from my terror radius. She could have done a generator in that time she took or even saved her friend who was hooked on the other side of the church
From experience, this sums up alot of self care players for me. Not all of them but definitely a big majority of them.
-
The ones for would be;
Ghost face: I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks his shroud reveal is bad, the inconsistency of it is so annoying to play as and against
Forever freddy: freddy in general I dont actually mind, but the forever freddy build is honestly the most boring game play you can imagine, tedious and slow.
Hag: the camera snap on her traps are just disorienting as hell to go against, not to mention alot of hags I go against tend to be #########
Clown: nothing to do with his power, its just, like hag, most clowns I've gone against are #########
-
Yep, its pretty much the killer action button that's bugged. Totally not game breaking at all 🙄

I have had some wonderful teammates and fair killers before, and it always gives me hope for the community. But then the toxic players come in... I was body blocked at the exit gates by my team last night while the killer was AFK and everyone but me and one of the main trolls died, and I once had a match where the huntress kept dropping me just to have my team heal me, just to down me AGAIN, drop me, make them heal, over and over until i DC'd because I was so upset. Just a few nights ago I was rank 6, but after a bunch of tunneling, moris, and teammates waiting until i was dying on hook to rescue me, I dropped all the way to 8. Definitely not a fun week.
I've had this before too, it really is horrible when you just want to enjoy the game but people like this come along and take pride in ruining it for everyone. I'm sorry this happened to you mate :(

It's PvP so i expect banter. But as someone with 3k hours in Dota 2, i thought I know what toxicity is. I was wrong, very wrong.
You get entitled people on both sides. People calling you names or wishing you cancer and other stuff. Since the report system gives no feedback and we have a fanbase (part of it) that supports toxicity, I don't have high hopes for a change.
It's sad, that you might miss some nice people during the game or have a nice chat afterwards, but imo closing the chat and disabling profile comments was more important for my overall enjoyment of the game.
This was how I felt with chat initially but then I thought "you know what, I'm not gonna let these ######### get to me, if I get hate mail, I'm just gonna laugh and block them. I wanna talk to the good guys on here".

Some players need to get hit with reality because not every game has to cater to you always.
Agreed, its shocking how personally alot of people take it if you beat them
-
@Dwight_Fairfield said:
Extremely toxic. Its a cesspool. Which is a shame because there is legit nice people in it, but the bad apples outweigh the good ones.
Sadly this is true, for every nice person I've met, I've probably come across 20 toxic ones
-
I can relate buddy, I've grown a thicker skin over time because of this game but when I started on both pc and ps4 I almost quit because of all the toxicity from you would get from playing killer.
People are unfortunately dicks and they feel more empowered to do so by the anonymity of the internet
-
Well alot of the time its alot less beneficial to go after the same survivor over and over again until they are dead rather than spreading the pressure out to all of them and keeping survivors busy and off of generators.
Just focusing on one guy isnt very fun to go against or really helps you much as killer and while I agree decisive can be a pain in certain situations ( mainly end game), I think the game would be alot worse without it
-
His turning feels almost non existent on ps4, you watch anyone on pc use him and you can actually curve. This is barely noticeable on controller
-
It definitely feels so much worse on him. I've gone for hit on survivors right in front of me and instead of hitting them it snaps the camera right behind them and his cane just whiffs behind them completely missing them.
I honestly dont get why auto "dressing" is even in the game. The amount of times its messed up a hit at a crucial moment in a chase is infuriating
-
I've actually found it really useful, especially against stealth players. Its saved me alot of time when it comes to downing someone or finding them . The biggest problem with it just seems to be that the scream is bugged sometimes

I think there's some (more) memory leaks or some other things like processes never getting disabled, because I've found that framerate gets worse and worse the more games I play.
For example, this was Yamaoka with the Blight. In certain loops the framerate was the worst thing I have ever experienced
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/736257521
I mean, the worst until I played this game as Myers (and trust me, watch it until the end):
https://www.twitch.tv/videos/736259930
after the Myers game I decided to restart the game and I played with the Huntress - fps seemed much, much better! I don't even know if and how to report this issue though, at this point.
This is where I think most of the fps issues on console come from. I find the fps is ok when I've only just started the game up, after an hour or so it starts to deteriorate every game until I reset it
-
Unless they actually send you hateful messages, there's not too much you can do about them, which is really annoying because people like that really do bring the game down.
I suppose a blacklist option could be a thing but I feel like this would get abused by people who just want to dodge anyone who beat then rather than because they were toxic
-
I hope so, the inconsistency of his shroud reveal can be so frustrating. If it wasnt for this I'd actually really enjoy going against ghost face
-
I would love it if they made the game look as it did 2016/2017, it looked so much creepier and atmospheric back then compared to now
-
I sometimes come across the same survivors who I've been against before who I know are extremely toxic, I'll skip them then if I'm just not in the mood to deal with them.
Otherwise I see no reason to
-
Old Billy just needed some addons changed, the change to his base kit just felt unnecessary, especially with how you can only really overheat if you are deliberately trying to do it.
Current Billy still needs some addons looked at I'd say but I guess for now he's ok
-
Pretty sure those kind of posts are generalizing people complaining constantly about things like spirit and deathslinger rather than survivors in general.
Although yes some may refer to survivors in general, but the same happens vice versa towards killers whenever someone complains about decisive or swf.
-
I find most people who say she can't be countered are the same who try and loop her like a normal killer.
Or admit she can be countered but dont like the fact that its alot of guess work. I personally dont mind that aspect of her, it feels alot more satisfying to juke her or at the very least make the chase last a long time. She's fine the way she is
-
Its something that definitely needs to be addressed asap. Frame drops whenever a perk kicks in, when bloodlust happens, when a survivor is right in front of me, when playing nurse, when in the forest maps, it's all so frustrating
-
Freddy with his slow down addons plus bbq and pop is definitely one of the most tedious builds to go against. He's one of the few killers that have alot going for him from the get go.
the best thing to do against him is to keep yourself awake as much as you can, wether it's via clocks or skill checks, being awake means he's just a m1 killer in a chase and makes his power take longer to recharge
-
She's ok I guess, but definitely one of the weaker killers if she's against survivors with common sense.
She completely dominates survivors who cleanse needlessly the second they get infected but struggles against good loopers who refuse to cleanse until the end game
-
They're not.
Yes killers get punished heavier for mistakes than survivors do alot of the time, but they're not immune, especially not solos.
Some mistakes survivors make can hand the killer win.
-
Probably only see him once every 2 weeks at least now. Gone are the days of having him daily multiple times
-
Ps4 player here. I dont really find cross play has made it too different, obviously pc survivors can move more rapidly but as long as they are right in front of me I can mostly still hit them with just a tap.
However the frame rate issues and auto dressing are a massive problem on console, especially auto dressing as survivors going side to side can increase the chances of that happening. You're not alone with these issues mate, I'm really hoping they either bring cross progression out soon or just optimise console better already
-
Best thing to do is approach them moonwalking if you know that they on a generator, and then go for the stalk as soon as you can and build it up as much as you can. Even if you dont get them exposed, getting them close is useful to save for later

Also this. The sole reason I haven't migrated fully to PC. Multiple maxed out P3 killers, several rifts worth of unlocks, tons of store bought cosmetics and devotion almost devotion level 7. Restarting now would be throwing away probably several thousand hours of my spare time to do it all again. No way in hell I'll make the jump if they don't get xbox/PS cross saves. Don't know hwy they couldn't considering how many other games do, but they seem iffy on it.
I Have around 6 thousand hours on ps4 compared to just 600 on pc from before it was on console. To throw all that away would be such a punch in the gut for me even if my current pc can run the game ten times better than my old one.
From what I've heard the devs definitely want to do cross progression, it depends if Sony and Microsoft allow it for them and from I understand Sony can be really funny with this sort of thing

I rarely get hateful messages from Survivors, mostly only because when I camp during Endgame. Once I got called a tunneler as Pig, because that guy was not able to get his Trap off... Havent seen him once after he got unhooked (fun thing was that they picked Ormond, Karma I guess). But usually, I dont get messages like this, which lets me think about the Killers complaining about them playing in an unfun way.
But I have to admit, I dont get "gg" very often if a Survivor died. If I get a "gg" its mostly from someone who escaped and I am quite sure they wont say that if they died. Which is kinda sad, but whatever.
It might be a ps4 thing ( rarely had this on pc) but I've loads of hate mail and death threats from survivors for any kind of reason they can think of if I kill them.
Killers I find tend to be toxic in game rather than hate mail, they'll face camp me while hitting me on hook, slug and just stand there nodding just because i was able to loop them for a long time. Though I've had some nasty comments from them saying I suck or am a toxic gen rusher and so on.
The annoying thing about this kind of behaviour is that there are definitely boring strats to go against as survivor (forever freddy I'm looking at you) but people will dismiss you as a "moaning survivor main" because of how often toxic people like this use the word against anything dont like
-
Tbf that offering is very outdated. But yep, unless you're a masochistic, theres absolutely no reason to run it. Most of your map pressure is instantly out the window
-
I'd say the grind is the main reason why I haven't gone over to pc from playstation and why I am hoping on cross progression coming through.
I have some stuff on pc but no were near the amount I have on ps4 and I'm very reluctant to lose all the progress I've made on all my characters just due to how long it will take
-

If you hear it every time it is probably your playstyle.
I can say from experience that your play style doesn't matter to these kind of people, if they get beat its everyone else's fault but their own.
I've been called a camper/tunneller more times than I care to count by survivors, even though I very rarely do it and get called "a toxic swf group" by killers even though I always play solo
-
As most have said on here, most of the time it's entitlement. You could have played completely fair the entire game but because you killed them it means you're boring or you camped/ tunneled or any other excuse.
Though that's not to say that there aren't any boring play styles to go against as survivor, but most of the time is generally is because they're just salty
-
To be honest I'd say she's fine. I can definitely see why she gets so much salt as her counters revolve around guess work but its definitely possible to keep a spirit busy with the right technique
-
Same, cross play for the most part has been fine for me on ps4. Though I wish I wasnt hindered by the lower frames and a controller, it's still very playable
-
As great as it would be to have a load of new players, I would say no to that due to the fact it would bring in a loads of hackers. Look at Destiny 2, as soon as the base game became free the amount of hackers on it skyrocketed. I can definitely see this happening on DBD if this was free at base too.
-
Unfortunately ps4 can be an absolute barrel of toxic waste on DBD. Just ignore them or turn off messages if you want to ignore it entirely.
It's gotten to a point with me where i just laugh at them and stir the pot with them as they say.
If you do decide to reply, be VERY careful not to say anything that could let them report you as these people are that petty and will look for any way to get at you. Learned this the hard way

Actually one more question if Huntress is undetectable does that take away her lullaby
No it doesn't, her terror radius will be gone but her lullaby will still be there
-
Its definitely a map that needs some rework. The amount of pallets that can spawn inside the asylum as well as the 2 infinites on the sides can make this place hell as killer. And as the person above said, the totem spawns can be the worst in the game, right in the middle of nowhere!? Why is that a thing?
-
Oh on both ps4 and pc, ive had my fair share of insults, death threats and all sorts of nastiness from survivors. I have had some from killers before but it's like for every 1 I get from a killer, I've had 100 from survivors.
Dont let it get you mate, these people are just cowardly man children who feel empowered by the anonymity of the internet. Just turn off messages or immediately block those people if you dont want to be bothered by it anymore
-
I relate to this so badly, the amount of times auto dressing has screwed me over is unreal ☹
-
I agree. Compared to survivor perks, the killer ones feel very lack luster. Most are very situational or are only really useful with other perks. Deathbound and surge are probably the only 2 recent perks that are ok by themselves
-
Most OoO players tend to be very cocky and toxic. Alot of the time they are also in a 4 man swf and can tell everyone what you are doing at all times. While yes you can tunnel them, alot of them want you to do it to waste your time as they tend to be pretty good loopers.
Obviously it's not always like this with an OoO but when you see there is one at the start of a match its never a great sign
