Most OoO players tend to be very cocky and toxic. Alot of the time they are also in a 4 man swf and can tell everyone what you are doing at all times. While yes you can tunnel them, alot of them want you to do it to waste your time as they tend to be pretty good loopers.
Obviously it's not always like this with an OoO but when you see there is one at the start of a match its never a great sign

As most people have said here already, he isnt op at all, his shroud reveal just tends to be very inconsistent.
I've seen him get reaveled from miles away behind objects but other times stared at directly right in front of someone and it doesn't work.
If they'd just fix that then he would be completely fine imo

Yeah I'm sure out of 15 million players you talked to everybody and most (many of whom will be survivormains) will totally give a ######### about a billynerf, they enjoy being instasawed and basically losing to billy in their greenranks I bet.
Right, surely you can say the same for yourself claiming it's only a minority who hate the change? It's so tiring seeing survivors and killers scream for nerfs just because they had a streak of bad matches against something they dont like, sometimes they're justified but in Billy's case it definitely wasn't.
His addons at most were a problem as it could leave him with having a very small cool down which I do agree made him able to miss a chainsaw with no consequence which was too much
-
No. I really dislike this whole "every killer is getting a cool down" route the devs are taking
-
The animations are cool but mori's and keys are just so annoying to go against, they seem to bring out the worst in people on both sides

Nobody cares if streamers think that it's a bad change, behaviour cares about the majority of their customers who built up this game, streamers didn't. Again everything here is a vocal minority and billy is overperforming against what most would call bad survivors. The change does mostly nothing against perfect survivors. Bad survivors can be m1'd to death anyways you'll just not end the game in 5 minutes.
Except it's not just streamers that are saying it's bad, nearly everyone is. Streamer opinions shouldn't be held higher or lower than anybody else, they are players of the game just like we are,who happen to broadcast what they're doing.
Like I said before, ANY killer can over perform against bad survivors. But then again bad survivors shouldn't be put against killer players who are that good, that's a match making/ emblem system problem rather than a billy problem
The change will make it significantly easier for perfect survivors, a perfect survivor group was always very hard to go against even with hillbilly. They'd force you into a situation where you either m1 and chase them normally or just keep revving the chainsaw in the hope you'd get a hit but never getting it due to windows.
Bad Billy's would waste to much time trying to get the m2 rather than the m1 and end up wasting alot of time and could get beaten very easily because of this. Now yes his instant down could be massive against bad survivors, but how is that different from, myers, ghost face, oni and leather face? His map pressure, his snowball effect? All the other instant down killers can also do this to, especially oni.
All this change does is make his addons extremely ridiculous and gimmicky and makes his power fustrating to use even of you use it right. I agree that killers shouldn't be able to 4k easily against anyone (I never felt this way with billy)but I do not agree with killers feeling like an absolute sweat fest to play well or correctly just to keep up with even average survivors
-
On contrary, I've had days when playing solo survivor where I've won and escaped every single game even against good strong killers. But then again I've had days where I've been absolutely stomped without ever getting a win once, the same goes for when I play killer.
I find if everyone, survivors and killer, are playing to their absolute best then survivors are alot more likely to win than the killer. High mobility killers have more of a chance than the rest but it can still be a massive struggle against survivors who are focusing on their objective rather than just running around.
The rng of the game, mainly of the maps also plays a huge factor, are there loads of strong loops or just big dead zones? Is the map good for the killer being used or screws them over?
It sounds like that you've maybe just had a bad run of survivor games
-
Mate, have you considered that these streamers are just ordinary people with their own opinions? The fact that most of them and people on these forums are saying that this change to hillbilly is unnecessary and very badly done kind of suggests that it really is an awful change.
I'm pretty much always solo when play survivor and I never found billy to be overwhelming to go against. Can he be a pain in the butt to go against? Sure. But alot of this came from team mates who just didnt know what to do against him and alot of the time panicked, but this was true for ANY killer I'd go against.
It only seems to be certain profiles on these forums that approve of this(not saying names) who seem to be a vocal minority with this topic
-
Funnily enough, all the guys on here that were saying this was a good thing and that he needed a nerf have gone very quiet. I honestly would like to ask the devs what is the thought process behind killer addons because they always seem extremely gimmicky, situational or just flat out useless
-
As someone who always plays solo when playing survivor, I've personally never had a problem with deathslinger.
While yes his terror radius is low, he's one of the tallest killers and very easy to see from a distance, with the exception of indoor maps. I dont really see how this makes it much different from Myers or ghostface. Adding a humming, a windup or cool down would solidify him being a bad version of huntress.
He gets beaten easily if a survivor keeps out of his LOS as much as possible keeps gaining as much distance as they can and if they prematurely throw a pallet down. He's very good at injuring survivors, downing them he will struggle against survivors who are observant to him.
If you get put with potatoes then any killer can look amazing, it's just knowing how to waste as much time as possible for the killer in chase regardless of wether you escape them or get downed and taking their strengths and weaknesses into account, which deathslinger has many of them
-
One I got told recently; "You have no skills if you use death slinger ". Survivors rule book is very strange sometimes
-
I would say gens being as easy to do as holding m1 is exactly why they go so fast. If they at least perhaps made skill checks random buttons rather than just space/ rb then they would at least be a bit more thought into doing them

Agree lol, every billy I go against is basically: Corrupt, Pop, BBQ and infectious + Insta saw or more speed addons.
That isn't "balanced" at all, and the overheat mechanic is good imo
I agree that Billy's using that build is very strong but I wouldn't say that means billy himself isn't balanced because of it, just that particular build. Oni using the same build is very strong, that doesn't mean Oni himself is op, or Myers with infectious + distressing + dead rabbit addon is really strong, doesn't mean Myers himself is op either. This whole overheat mechanic feels like its gonna make him feel alot more limited to play but I'm willing to at least wait and see what it's like first before jumping to conclusions like alot of others here have

It was a pretty bleh perk to begin with because it relied too heavily on rng to get a skillcheck, now survivors have a way of countering a perk without even knowing it, imagine if every time you picked up a survivor with thrilling, they got a skillcheck, and if they hit a great it wouldn't activate. That's the logic this perk is using now, on top of the fact that you need to have good rng for them to get a skillcheck in the first place, and a now reduced activation time. Why they nerfed it boggles my mind, and I really hope they undo the changes, as while I've loved the new killers and maps in these past few updates, they have been severely lacking on the perk side of things, and the meta hasn't been changed in about a year.
Their killer perks have been so lack luster lately. They have to be so situational in order to be useful or are only useful with other perks
-
I remember a stream were they said it would be very demanding on the game and take a very long time to make a non humanoid killer. Cant remember the full details but they did pretty much say they would not do a non humanoid killer which is kinda disappointing
-
Nurse and demogorgon on ps4. Nurse is understandable as using a controller and dealing with the frame rate spikes makes her very frustrating to play
-
I agree, The nerf to gear head was just so out of the blue and just not really necessary. And the fact the devs have said they are think of nerfing killer perks that involve slowing down gens because they want to "see more variety of perks being used by killers" was just infuriating.
I'm sure most of us WANT to use different builds that dont involve the generators but we kinda have to due how quick they go. Plus alot of the new killer perks that have come out lately are just not good, only work well with other perks or are very situational to actually be effective
-
Survivors who say stuff like that are usually the same ones who run all the strongest perks in the game, but heaven forbid the killer uses anything they dont like.
Just ignore them mate, use NOED if you want and let him have his tantrum. Some people are just extremely self entitled
-
The emblem system and match making really need to be changed up. I'm a rank 1 killer and survivor yet very rarely get matched with other red ranks. And when I do get red rank survivors, they play like absolute potatoes. In the rare instance I do get a red rank killer, they actually do play very well
-
At the moment generator speeds are definitely too quick. If I dont take any perks that help regress or slowdown the gens or play a high mobility killer, then its pretty much gg unless the survivors are messing around not doing them.
Personally I wouldn't want the gen time increased as this will just make it tedious to play survivor. I'd rather there be like a big rework of some sort to how generators are repaired. Rather than just holding a button and the occasional skill check, maybe you could find components to repair them and have quick time events that involve different random buttons instead or something. Just an idea.
-
Sometimes but not that often. As soon as the obsession realises you have it, they hide and then leave asap, I've rarely got a mori with it tbh. I kinda wish there were more perks or base mechanics that actually made being the obsession risky.
-
No. As much as it can suck if you're the one on the hook, there is literally no reason for the killer to leave
-
As everyone else has said on here, its definitely bad team mates. I'm always solo when I play survivor and have had ALOT of games where we could have escaped if that one guy had just done a gen instead of crouching around doing nothing or if he hadn't DC'd 😡
-
Even though i suck with her, I'd still say nurse is the best in the right hands. Spirit, Billy and Freddy being the other top tier killers
-
About 80% of survivor matches I've had, I just end up feeling bad the killer. Even when they play well, gens just pop and pop like its nobodies business.
