  • Yes massively. This is a perfect change for it

  • I wouldn't say he's op, but he's one of the strongest killers in the game by far and not in a good way. He takes very little effort to do well with due to how much he has in his kit. Loads of his addons revolve around slowing down asleep survivors which means he's already putting pressure on them by simply existing.

As well as this, strong builds like the ruin, undying, tinkerer build are even stronger on him than most other killers. Then you have the fact he can spam his snares as much as he wants without any drawback or consequences.

The only reason I say he isn't op is that if you're awake, his power over you is significantly reduced so keeping yourself awake as much as you can is the counter to him. However the microsleep mechanic means survivors have to do this almost constantly throughout the game which in itself is more easy pressure on them.

  • For me, ghost face. Almost every one i go against is insanely toxic and just cannot stand how inconsistent his shroud reveal is. Pretty much every match he'll get his instant down on me even when I've stared right at him

  • To be honest, the change itself isn't what I have a problem with. Undying was the first perk in a long time that actually shook up the meta and what did people do? Make forum post after forum post complaining about it and calling it op and broken.

I honestly never thought the ruin+Undying combo was that strong. It was definitely a good combo but was only effective if the killer was actually pressuring gens, other wise it pretty much doesn't do anything. Plus taking a map, small game or detectives hunch would counter this build pretty hard (same with noed) so of this build became consistent, I would take one of these.

How long have people been complaining about the ds+unbreakable build with the problems it has? Yet after a coulple of months of complaining undying is already getting a nerf

  • For me, its when the killer slugs for the 4k. Like for real, do you really need to drag the game out for another 10-20 minute for just one extra kill?!

Plus the endgame collapse exists for crying out loud. You can close the hatch! You could have earned way more points by letting the game finish either way and then moving on to your next game than just continuing slugging and then looking for the last guy with no way to know where he is and just hoping you come across him!

  • Freddy and legion by far. Freddy has loads of map pressure and slow down while legion makes you hold m1 even more than usual

  • It wouldn't make him OP at all, its a change he desperately needs. I wish at the very least they let him have all of his traps at the beginning rather than having to go around picking them up

  • Its not that she has no counter play, she does but its complete guess work. You have no way of knowing if what you're doing is actually fooling her.

I honestly wouldn't mind if that sound bug she had was part of her kit

  • Had a last survivor hide in a locker for a very long time which led them to get crows on them. Found them and killed them to which they message me; "there's no way you could have known i was in there you f***ing cheater" πŸ™„πŸ˜‚

  • It depends. I don't mind slugging when there's a good tactical reason to do it but going against a killer who just does it just to be horrible and toxic about it can be just the worst.

I admittedly do get really annoyed when a killer slugs for the 4k when there's 2 survivors left. It just drags the game out so unnecessarily long and with the end game collapse being a thing, it just feels so pointless. Just let the game end and move on to the next one please

  • I have to agree. I very rarely used a mori when playing killer as they were massively broken and seeing them changed is a huge relief. They were just really toxic alot of the time

  • Design team has always been really good and the best part of dbd. Just wish I could say the same about the rest....

  • The moonlight offerings i really miss, a really dark map in any of the macmillan maps was always really creepy( but a pain in the ass if it was against Claudette πŸ˜‚)

I also miss old prayer beads on spirit. Don't get me wrong, it was without a doubt broken as hell but I alway loved using it for jumpscares and gen grabs

  • To be fair, nobody did complain about her for a while after she was buffed then out of the blue everyone realised how strong she was.

The bug that she had were her moaning was directional i think would be an OK thing for her to have. You had an idea of what direction she was coming from but it wasn't obvious like when her whooshing noise was directional so it was more of a mind game

  • I feel like It only needs to deactivate if you are doing a generator, a totem or have been fully healed. If you're able to do these things then you're clearly not being tunneled. A shorter timer wouldn't really fix it and would probably make it useless if you're being tunneled

  • That would be because the term boring gets thrown around towards anything that causes the slightest inconvenience for people and is a completely subjective term.

I personally find only forever Freddy or any killer that slugs for the 4k boring to go against but I get why some don't like spirit or deathslinger, even if I myself don't have a problem with them.

Some people prefer going against certain killer to others which is fine but most times when someone says a killer is boring, i find i take it with a grain of salt

  • I HATE auto aim/dressing with a passion on ps4, the worst thing about is there is zero point in having it in the game at all. To make hits look like they hit!?, it does the total opposite

  • Making repairing the generators a bit more thought provoking rather than just holding a button for a certain amount of time with a quick time event.

The only fun part of survivor is interaction with the killer so to make generators a bit more interesting to do i think would be a really nice change

  • Sadly I don't think its gonna happen. I've waited for it for ages since upgrading my pc but pretty much gave up waiting and just carried on my old account I have on steam

Not even trying to start a fight between sides. The devs are neglectful of survivors. Sure killers need some work and buffs but the devs are only recently trying to do something.

They did changes in the most recent patch such as PH due to feedback that he wasn't very fun or fair for survivors to go against due to faking his power.

Regardless of wether they were good or bad they still acknowledged the problem people were having with it and tried to do something about it.

While I disagree with alot of what the devs do and agree that they have made some very bizarreand questionable decisions, they dont neglect a side, they try to improve the game for everyone's sake, not just killers or survivors

  • I honestly dont get the whole "us vs them" mentality that people have on these forums. Killer or survivor there are loads of issues that need addressing and I agree that how slow the devs have been on some of them is incredibly frustrating sometimes.

Some of the things you listed cant really be put on the devs but the event is definitely one that has just been a catastrophe. But please drop the whole "devs dont care about us survivors" because no side has really had smooth ride with any of this

  • It really is awful. It's why I put off going over to pc from ps4 for the longest time hoping for cross progression. Having to start all the way back at the beginning after having everything unlocked and on multiple characters was a massive punch in the gut

  • Your best bet against her is pallets and windows. Try to make yourself as unpredictable as possible when she is phasing around these and you could fool her.

Unfortunately it is kind of luck based that she messes up but you can make it more likely she messes up with this.

If she's phasing to you when your out in the open and injured, you're pretty much screwed so you want to try and run across open areas only after she has just phased so you have time to get somewhere safer

  • I'm 26 myself, and others who I know play DBD are roughly the same age. However if we were to go on the way some behave in this game I'd say 12....

  • Overkill strength

Each time you kick a generator or a pallet, you are slowed by 10% due to hitting it too hard. Eventually your leg will break and you will have to sit down and let it recover for the rest of the game

  • In all honesty, it sounds like you've been screwed over by the map RNG rather than bamboozle. Even reworked maps still have the RNG aspect of potentially having loads of safe loops, windows and jungle gyms or just TL walls and hills

If it's used in a jungle gym you still have the pallet, killer shack you still have a pallet and TL walls you still have another window. Plus once the killer uses it you then know he has it and to get away from a window they've blocked.

I do agree that it's an outdated perk since it was a band aid fix to alot of strong infinites back when it was released but I wouldn't say that means it's now OP or anything, just redundant

  • As of now, I'd say blight. His curving and timing of his power is so crucial in a chase and takes alot of practice. Huntress I would also say takes alot of skill

  • Mosy on here have already said how I feel with it, have it deactivate when a survivor starts repairing/ cleansing/ fully healed and it would be completely fine.

I'd say it's the main perk that makes solo survivor alot less miserable. With that said it can be very frustrating as killer when all 4 survivors are using it aggressively

  • I agree but unfortunately it's one of the RNG aspects of the game that can completely screw over either side.

The same can be said when a map spawns only 5 pallets which are all unsafe or instead spawns 15 pallets, 8 jungle gyms and loads of strong loops. The RNG of maps is one of the core aspects of the game but unfortunately can tip the balance massively in the survivors or killers favour

  • I dont really consider someone toxic if they use certain perks or addons (with maybe the exception of a mori) if they try to be obnoxious along with their strong perks and then go on to gloat or send hate mail if things didnt go there way, then that's toxic imo.

From experience, most of this sort of stuff comes from survivors but yes, there are quite a few killers who behave like this to. It's better to get away from the "us vs them" mentality and just dont bite back towards people like this and give them the satisfaction, wether they are a killer or a survivor

  • Survivor:

Overrated: Adrenaline, sure it can potentially save me in the right situation, but most of the time it's either not used or I'm not even injured when it activates. It's just too situational

Underrated: kindred and empathy, both of these are massively helpful for solo play. They give you a rough idea where the killer and which direction he's coming

    Killer:

Overrated: pop goes the weasel, it's a good perk but only really helps if you're able to apply the pressure which some killers really struggle with.

Underrated: spies from the shadows, this perk has helped me out so many times with tracking down survivors and catching the off guard

  • I would say those close games were it feels like both the killer and survivors are pretty much on par with eachother. Survivors are getting gens done but the killer is getting downs and hooks fast too.

These games dont happen often but they are really fun when they do

  • 1. Ghostface- "IM STARING INTO YOUR SOUL YOU #########, HOW ARE YOU STILL SHROUDED!?!?"

    2. Legion- holding down m1 even more than normal is just fantastic.....

    3. Clown- tbh I dont really know why I dont like him. He's the weakest killer in the game sure but I just really dislike going against him

  • Sadly Dbd has alot of people like this; they can only have fun by ruining someone else's

  • When either side gets really cocky when they win. So survivors hanging around the hatch or an open door when they are the last one just so they can tbag and killers slugging you and then just nodding their heads when you are the last survivor.

I dont know why but people like this seriously irritate me. Instead of just taking their win and moving on to the next game, they just have to behave like children and hold you hostage just to gloat about it.

I play solo queue almost exclusively when I play survivor, at the purple ranks/fringe red ranks (5/4), and it really doesn't happen to me often at all. I'm pretty sure the people that claim they get tunneled every single game are the ones that are clicking flashlights, teabagging at every pallet, and noise spamming. 99% of toxicity in this game comes from survivors

That's what I'm thinking too about alot of these claims. They spend all game being obnoxious as possible, trying to annoy you and then go surprised pikachu face when you retaliate to get rid of them.

  • I honestly couldn't tell you for the life of me. Sometimes I reveal him from across the other side of the map some how, others I've stared in to his soul while he's sanding butt naked in the middle of afield and he stays hidden πŸ˜’

  • Its probably the main thing about it that makes playing solo survivor alot better. While I definitely agree DS can have its issues and could do with a small tweak, it's for the most part fine and the game would be alot worse without it

  • There are some nasty people who play killer too but they definitely feel minuscule compared to the amount of toxic survivors you come across.

Pretty sure my hate mail count from survivors is well into 4 figures while off the top of my head I've had maybe around 15-20 hate mail from killers. Game play wise, I'll encounter a toxic killer maybe once a month at least. Survivors, at least 5 a day.

Now obviously the 4:1 ratio could explain this but even then, its staggering how many more times it comes from survivors than killers

  • Not my internet but I had my game crash on me when I was killer and there were 2 survivors left. One of them had a key and found the hatch with his friend and started spamming vaults to get my attention.

I just rolled my eyes and made my way over there to just get the match to end to see them frozen in running animations on the spot.

This went on for about 20 seconds until the game crashed and I go to dashboard on ps4. One of the survivors messaged me going "aww cute, nice rage quit". I said to him the game had crashed but he didnt believe me and just continued to be really cocky.

I was half annoyed that I lost out on my points and at the way this guy was being, but found it amusing that if they had just left instead of trying to be ######### about it, they would have got their escape and extra points. Plus the guy had a key, one of the most unbalanced things next to Moris, and was acting so cocky about it. Like calm down bro

Yea man it is, did you not know that eye contact is also toxic and hard tunneling?

If you even walk towards a survivor right at the beginning of the game you're pretty much a hardcore tunneler who has no skill and a noob

(I've had someone actually call me this because I found them very quickly at the start, chased them and then they dc'dπŸ™„πŸ˜‚)

  • It really does feel like if I even fart in the direction of an unhooked survivor I'll get called a tunnelerπŸ™„

  • Old legion pretty much showed that anything that involves a timer pausing in the chase can get easily exploited by moonwalking. It's why the devs are now keeping away from that sort of thing.

The only change i feel like it needs is as you said, it deactivates if you start repairing generator or get fully healed as you're clearly not getting tunneled if either of those things happen. Just that change alone would probably make a big difference

  • In all honesty, I've never found the aura reading to be a problem when playing survivor. I've yet to actually have a killer come for me when I've gone near a totem since alot of the time they're too distracted by chases or hooking which is what I've found using it as killer.

I'll occasionally see survivors on totems but most times they'll get them when I'm focused on another survivor

  • Unfortunately these things have been around for a while. I've had scratch marks disappear on me within 2 seconds and the chase music being extremely loud to the point I cant even hear an injured survivors.

It sounds like you've been lucky enough to not have these happen to you until recently

  • Clown for me. Im really bad against him and I dont know why. If him so obnoxious to play against too, his laugh and his gas are just ugh 😀

  • I agree that alot of the hate and abuse thrown at the devs is completely over the top and unacceptable. It sums up this community alot of the time which is really saddening.

But at the same time, some of the decisions that they make can honestly be so frustrating to deal with, especially when they give very a limited response to why they made those decisions. The lack of communication can also just make it feel so much worse.

Now I'm not saying this justifies any insults hurled at the devs because nothing justifies doing that, but there have been numerous amount of patches and changes in the last 4 years that have literally made say aloud "What?! Why the hell have they done that!?" And for them to either not say anything about it or give a very unusual reason just kills alot of motivation to keep playing.

  • On one half, it makes sense for that to happen if he was to step in his own bear traps. But on the other it pretty much comes from the fact that he's a very outdated killer. He definitely needs alot more QOL changes and that's something that they should address

  • From experience, I've had survivors make literally no noise at all. No breathing, no footsteps, no injured noise, absolutely silent. Then after they've been hooked or downed they suddenly make noises again. Considering how much you rely on sounds as killer it can be a massive hindrance

After reading the OPs replies it seems they are just trolling as the (easy)counter to undying+ruin has been explained, yet the OP continues to antagonistically deny every reasonable solution. Maybe they don't realise people are bored of seeing all the braindead "x, z, y needs a nerf" posts. But then again if people clearly put no effort into (learning to play)) the game, why would they put any effort into thinking before posting. Nice bait lol.Β

Honestly it's hard to tell if he's trolling as so many on this forum have this mind set. "I dont like this perk combo and I cant be bothered to counter it, plz nerf" sums up people like this
