  • If they were deliberately doing it to stop the game progressing then yes.

If they were just really bad and didn't do anything because they heard the terror radius for 0.5 seconds then no. As infuriating these kinds of players are, they can't be banned for being bad at the game

  • Its more to do with that fact they end up being the only thing you ever see when you get to high ranks and it just becomes really stale and boring after seeing it over and over again. With that being said alot of those who do complain most likely do the same thing themselves so I do agree alot of people are most likely hypocrites with this topic

  • Had a very toxic and cocky bill tbagging at the gate while I was hooking the last other survivor who was on death hook. He starts running out tbagging as I approach him and then immediately stops when he realised I had blood warden. I nod at him and hit him, he then dc'd 😂

So it's only "fun" to play against a killer when they aren't running strong perks.

People should just be more honest and just say they only find killers "fun" to play against when the game is in their favor and not the killers.

No, it's that the build can cause gens to take a very long time which is the most boring part about survivor. When its a blight who isn't very good, it's even more boring because they'll push you off a gen and then when they can't catch you they leave, so you go back to the gen you were on to see nearly all the progress is gone. So you then decided to go looking for the totems if your teammates haven't already. This build emphasizes the boring part of playing survivor, holding m1, with little effort from Blight

Strong killer perks( the few that exist) aren't the problem, its that this particular build is as interative as watching paint dry half the time. At least tinkerer can kinda jumpscare you I guess

  • Obviously people can use what they want, its just the second you see blight you can guess what his perks are going to be and 90% of the time you'll be right.

Its become so tedious to go against this build on blight which is honestly a shame because he is a fun killer himself. It's even more dull when it's a good blight player with strong addons like alchemist ring. You just look at it and think "How badly do you wanna win there buddy?".

And as for the argument "but survivors always use DH,DS,BT,UB", doesn't mean the blights are anymore fun to go against just because survivors always do the same. Going against both of these constantly is really stale, one doesn't cancel out the other out.

This game is alot more fun when people play more casual rather than sweat. Unfortunately toxic players encourage sweating by being dicks to other players to the point they just think screw it and use these builds

  • I have literally ended up shouting "FFS, RUN BOND OR SOMETHING YOU IDIOT" at my screen so much because of survivors like this 😂

I even tried running better together so that they know that gen is being worked on. They still led the killer to the gen....😑

    Run bond people.

  • A health chapter is desperately needed for the game. This would be preferable to just more chapters that break the game on release

    1. Unless you played hard from start to end, I don't believe you for a second. The killers that handicap themselves with one or no slowdown perk typically get stomped the instant they go up against a team that splits gens. I mean, they can come back, but typically this happens if they decide to play hard from the beginning. MMR really should have murdered that overkill argument. What happens to the killers that don't run those slowdowns now being introduced to good matchmaking? They throw on 2 or more slowdowns. Your experience is simply bad matchmaking. Most of the matches are perfectly winnable and it does come down to mistakes, but then you have a day where you quite literally get nothing but the sweat squads on bad maps. The sweat squads are the good players. The ones that call these builds while having a good build on their own are the bad ones. There's no acceptable reason to not run a slowdown build other than tailoring builds to the killer/variety. If someone feels like not sweating, why preemptively nerfing themselves to make their opponents no bored (something the opponents are responsible for themselves). The opponent's ability to handle it is on them, and no, it's not overpowered on the strongest killers. You don't see comp killers always smashing everyone with 3 slowdowns and NOED on Nurse or SPirit. There's some responsibility on survivors.
    2. Nothing here to say other than refer to 1.
    3. This isn't a tantrum my friend. I just put on the sweat builds during those days to match the heat survivors give me. My typical build is 1-2 slowdowns. In the case of Blight, it's Lethal, Pop, BBQ, and Enduring (looking to ad PWYF once leveled). However, I reserve the right to do whatever I please, and I won't have people being pi$$y about players that simply use good builds. I will call survivors hypocrites for whining about killer's builds when using the sweatiest builds and tactics available. You whining about how boring Blight is with a slowdown build is a tantrum. You're just doing it from the survivor perspective rather than a killer one.

Why don't you believe it? Because I have a different opinion in slowdowns to you? Believe what ever you want but yes, been playing both killer and survivor for 5 years with the occasional break with around 4k hours.

Even when survivors split on gens, a killer who only has one slow down or none can go out their way to defend one area of the map that they think is the easiest. It's how I deal with good survivors if I decide not to bring slowdowns and for the most part it works. And yes this is including on high mmr matches so can you please drop the " your experience is bad matchmaking" argument. It's just really obnoxious when people like you claim what another's experience must have been to fit your narrative. I simply don't consider not bringing slowdowns to be a handicap, with the few exceptions of sweat squads

Also good survivors does not equal sweat squads. Sweat squads are a whole different level to survivors who are just good at the game, they go out their way to do the gens as quick as possible. They don't heal, don't do totems, don't save until the the last second, they just annihilate the gens as quick as possible and then get out as quick as they can. Thats boring to go against too and I don't see the point in it but they are rare.

I feel confident enough in my own ability as killer to hinder survivors with other perks, especially as a strong killer like blight and spirit. That's why I consider it overkiller to run loads of slowdowns, its just boring to run then all the time and win with plenty of gens unfinished. It's why when I see a good killer player use them, I just feel like it was a bit much when they were more than capablewith out them. If you feel the need to run them to hold your own against good survivors thats completely fair enough, you have every right to use them as much as anyone.

Like I said before, not once did I ever suggest blights or killers can't use slowdown builds. It makes sense to use them because they're strong. I just think it's completely possible to win without them. And yes I fully agree, survivors who complain when they're using strong meta builds themselves can be hypocrites. But I can still find it boring to go against just as much as I find going against survivor sweat squads and survivor metas boring alot of the time. I'll deal with both of them but doesn't mean I'm not gonna have an opinion on it. I've played enough of both sides to see the perspective of both ends so quit trying the us vs them narrative your trying to push with how nasty survivors are

    1. Then you don't play against moderately competent survivors. I could leave it at that because it's fairly well known, but I'll elaborate further. Yes, one slowdown can often be enough to secure the win against survivors that don't focus on gens. The problem with this is that it's well known that stacking slowdown is done at the highest level against nerfed survivors. The biggest lie everywhere is that multiple slowdowns is overkill. It's not. If a killer wins with multiple slowdowns, that killer was out of the league of the survivor team.
    2. A. Why should anyone care what you personally find fun or not as long as it doesn't involve BM? B. So you want to be camped, tunneled and slugged? It's either/or dude. This does not change with the strongest killers. I can understand being frustrated if the killer plays hard right off the bat with those builds, but if the killer is playing chill.........what are you doing? Like, seriously.
    3. You say that, but wait until you have days where you get literally nothing but bad maps for your killer.
    1. Mate I've been playing DBD since 2016, I've had my fair share of competent survivors. Most of my losses are because of my own mistakes or misreads on the survivors rather than I didn't run enough slowdowns. With the exception of the weakest killers, you do NOT need multiple slowdowns to win against good survivors if you are confident and good enough at playing the killer you are using and its 100 percent overkill on the stronger killers who already have the ability to apply loads of pressure. Yes sometimes I will be up against A SWF sweat squad, yes sometimes the map RNG really screws me over and spawns dozens of safe loops together but a lot of losses are my own fault. A killer wining with this build doesn't necessarily make them out of league of the survivor team at all. What if the map was really bad like shelter woods, or only had TL walls and dead zones? what are survivors supposed to do to delay the killer when they have been given very little defence to delay him in a chase but the killer has a huge amount of pressure from his build and mobility? It's honestly so bizarre to me how much blights use slowdowns for the off chance they get a sweat squad with how rare they are
    2. Never did I say or even suggest people only play build I like. killers and survivors can use whatever perks and builds they want, doesn't mean I have to like them. I hate going against dead hard as much as multiple slow downs but everyone has the right to use any of them if they wish. I just find it incredibly tedious to go against this build over and over again all the time. Especially when its on killer like blight because he's already strong even without slowdowns. As for the rest of what you said...I really don't know what your trying to say there with how you worded that sentence....
    3. Have had plenty of those days buddy. Instead of throwing a tantrum, I just make do with what I've got and a lot of the time I actually pull it off. Do I lose in these scenarios? sure! plenty of times! everyone does. But it's just not worth getting wound up about it. On a side note, if you disagree with me fair enough but maybe next time, do a response a little less patronising....

The issue is if killer dont stack slow down perk its game over for them if the survivor know how to do gen. Dont forget the killer cant pressure 4 survivor at ounce so its not like when the killer is chasing someone the other survivor stop doing gen. You may think some killer dont need it but what can a blight do in rpd or haddonfield not much so the slowdown come in for that

Gonna have to agree with Aven_Fallen here. Having one slowdown perk is usually enough on most killers when you know what your doing with them. Alot people seem to think if you only got 1 or 2 hooks and 3 gens are already done you've lost when alot of the time it's still very possible to bring it back.

Seeing a killer run ruin/undying/tinkerer on someone like blight or spirit( with strong addons too)is just one of the most miserable things to see when playing survivor, especially considering the stronger killers can use more unique builds since they already are strong in their own right with out slow down perks.

As for getting bad maps with certain killers, this is just one of the unfortunate RNG aspects of the game. Its still possible to win on RPD or lerys with blight even if it is significantly harder but I just don't see the point of running loads of slowdowns on him just for the slight chance I may get these maps

  • Would definitely be very unfair for the survivors. Tunneling would be very very effective since the killer would not have to worry about applying much pressure since they can immediately someone

  • This would be a really cool buff to oblivious! Would also give oblivious and undetectable some difference from eachother

  • On its own tinkerer is fine. With ruin, undying and on a high mobility killer, its a pain in the butt.

I disagree that it needs a change though, I find you can use it against them by baiting them away from somewhere you don't want the killer to be or time it were they are too busy chasing a survivor or carrying them to a hook to notice tinkerer has gone off

If it happens to you often as you state that shows something is wrong with your connection and the D/C penalty is warranted. Depending on how often it happens the D/C penalty could keep getting longer and longer. I am not sure if it maxes out or not since I have never been above 15 minutes on a D/C ban.

Until you get the connection issue fixed you perhaps you shouldn't be joining matches. Remember their are 4 others players per match and they get penalized when your connection drops.

This has happened to me alot too and its never been because of Internet issues. I'm usually on a discord chat with my friends while I play and they never sound laggy or get disconnected from the call so it's definitely on DBD's end.

Funny thing is, this thing actually stopped for me when they disabled dc penalties and now they're back on again, im getting random dcs again 🙃

  • Oh dam, that's such an interesting build on him! Didn't think franklins and hoarder would work on the box

  • Yup fully agree. I love playing blight but christ his hit collision is so inconsistent at times, it just puts me off him entirely

Dunno, I haven’t seen Sluzzy in ages so I assumed they weren’t unbanned.

Just checked and they are unbanned. I find he goes quiet for a bit before doing loads of post and then goes quiet again which is probably why we haven't seen him post. This forum has both killer and survivor mains but for the most part I'd say people play both. Just saying "oh this forum is so full of killer/survivor mains, what's the point?" makes out as if you know you've lost the argument so your just going to delegitimize everyone around you

Sluzzy was literally banned but lord Tony wasn’t, how is that not blatant evidence of the community being killer sided? FYI I don’t think either should be banned.

Actually he was banned....he's back now but he was banned for a while and, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't sluzzy also unbanned now?

I do agree neither should be banned for their opinions, even if they are very biased to opposite sides.

It just gets boring. Any remotely pro survivor/anti killer post will be extremely controversial, but when it’s the other way around, it’s seemingly completely fine to have that opinion?

Probably because alot of pro survivor/ anti killer posts in this forum tend to be ridiculous to the point they look like they are trolling rather then making a serious discussion. Sluzzys post are a prime example of this.

Not saying that survivors have no issues to deal with because there are plenty of them like spirit, face camping etc, but so many posts like this one just make people not take them as seriously as they should. Especially when they then scream how killer bias everyone is

  • Myers hasn't been touched balance wise for a very long time so he's pretty outdated. That addon along with a few others could definitely do with nerfing and others could do with some buffs, including Myers himself

  • As most have said on here, they threw all their resources at that one gen at the start and were together. Losing 1 gen that quick isn't the end of the world and you can still win as your screen shot proves.

Losing a gen or 2 at the beginning is common because it's when the killer has the least amount of pressure. It doesn't mean it's an automatic loss

  • My survivor and killer matches have been kinda mixed. Roughly 2-3 survivors will be actually good while 1 guy will be just absolutely awful

  • More than half the time I get ormond, it has massive dead zones with all the jungle gyms and pallets being squashed into one area (usually near the shack) making it the only safe area in the whole map. Its just a bad map that needs to be reduced in size and better pallet RNG

  • My experience is usually this. Some days you get a bad streak of terrible team mates, others you get absolute amazing ones. It's pretty much just luck on wether you'll be put with people who actually have common sense or not.

With thay said though, I definitely think the match making makes solo alot worse. Lost count at the amount of rainbow ranked games I've had

  • Spawned into Haddonfield as Huntress with lethal pursuer, could see 2 survivors in one corner, the other 2 in separate corners of the map all next to generators. The infinite in the middle house was open and a good 25 pallets (safe ones too) had spawned. Didn't stand a chance

Here is how deep their kit actually is (beyond camping and slugging)

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/260673/the-twins-my-comprehensive-analysis

They're kit maybe deeper than camping and slugging, but It's clear it what they excel in compared to most other killers hence why loads of them do it.

I'm not saying that they're bad in strength at all, it's obvious that they can be a very effective killer in the right hands. I just personally don't find their play style fun to go against or to use. It's fine if others like them and it's great if you and others found a way to play and enjoy them, I just really don't like them

  • @Phasmamain said:

I actually don’t mind twins too much. They encourage teamwork and Victor can have some fun chases.

Trickster on the other hand is just depressing to fight

while trickster is bad, at least for the most part you don't get slugged for 3 minuets

  • It would be interesting to see which one it is but it's most likely survivor. If it was killer, que times for both killer and survior would be alot longer while more survivors mean that killer que times will be quick and survivor que times slow.

It would be useful to know which role is more appealing to everyone

  • Its why I hate going against him so much, its so inconsistent! I get exposed most times trying to reveal him

  • I've grown to hate twins with a burning passion. They mostly revolve around slugging which is in itself very boring, about 80% of twins players I go against will camp and tunnel with Victor and then leave you slugged for most of the game.

And then there's Victor's hit box which makes huntress' hatches look consistent. I've had that little bastard hit a good 10 feet behind me yet that's still a hit according to the servers.

While I have my issues with some of the other killers, I wouldn't want to get rid any of them. Twins however can stay in the void for all I care

  • While it is annoying, it's not a perk that makes me groan out loud like certain other perks....

  • A few of them are OK, but I think mind game pallets are alot more interesting to use than a safe pallet

  • With how buggy he can be, id say blight. But even without bugs on either of them I'd still say blight is harder. Once you get the hang of nurse she's not that difficult unless your against very good survivors who are gods at mind games.

Blight you really gotta react quickly and get those bounces and curves right otherwise it can cost you massively

  • There's almost no point for the killer to leave unless a survivor has done a really bad mistake and got themselves in a position they're gonna get caught

  • I mean its obviously going to be spirit but id happily go against her instead of twins....

  • During the day it's slow then in the evening it's alot quicker. Survivor is vice versa

  • "Just stay on the gen and finish it! We'll get it done before he comes" the amount of times we've lost a gen to pop goes the weasel rather than finishing it because my team mate who was repairing it with me runs off the second they hear a heart beat....

  • @Wavy said:

I dont understand why everyone defends killers in this forums

Mate, people on here not agreeing with you isn't defending killers, it's that your arguments come across as extremely entitled and close minded.

The arguments you're coming out with are basically "these thing are fine because I personally don't see them, killers are all just babies and sweaty and I hate them all".

You talk as if any killer players are part of this big group that are all the same, even though most of them play both sides and have different play styles and opinions on the game. All you seem to be trying to do is aggravate people

  • OK this "us vs them" mindset that people like you try to push all the time on here is really getting annoying....

  • I'd say it's because they know it's what makes the game so addictive. I find myself playing more for getting points to get that one perk on a certain killer or survivor rather than for the enjoyment of the game. Even if they were to get rid of perk teirs it the grind would still be massive so I don't get why they can't at least do this

  • 100% agree. I used to love going against blight but now when I see him I just groan because you know that he's going to have that build. Most blights I come across who use this also tend to suck with him but still win due to how good that build is on him

I have alot more respect for blights who actually try something different and are confident in their own skill to still win with it rather than just relying on the strongest killer build on a top teir killer

  • For a while I didn't know that scratch marks meant a survivor had just ran in the area, I thought they were visual bugs......

  • Fully agree with OP. While he's definitely a weak killer and needs some buffs, to say he's the absolute worst I think is just an aftermath taste people got from the PTB. Trickster can get multiple people down if they all rush in front of him out in the open, thus isn't something you can ever see trapper or legion pulling off

  • With any bag addons, he's easily the worst killer. Having to go to each individual trap and set it just to get some value takes way to long even if the survivors are not being that efficient on gens

  • As some here have already said, it's most likely the management at bhvr that is the problem. If something is run by bad management then it doesn't matter how good or bad everyone else is, the whole operation just falls flat

  • Unpopular opinion, I don't think trickster is anywhere near as bad as people make him out to be. Open maps that have low loops are very good for him and if you do get his main event at the right moment, it can be very oppressive against multiple survivors out in the open. With that said he still is a weak killer and needs alot more QOL changes but I don't believe that he is the absolute weakest.

As for clown, this might be because I just suck with him but I find both of his bottles hardly ever help in a chase. Smart survivors will just pre drop the pallet and keep running as far as they can until you're ontop of them again and then repeat the same process. Ontop of the fact he has zero map pressure, he just feels powerless

  • @Wavy said:

this forum is full of killer mains lol.

Or most on here play both sides and don't agree with your assumption that killers are OP?

Not saying names but the whole "forum's are just full of killer mains" seems to be the last resort argument when nobody agrees with them saying killers are op and survivors are weak. It really isn't as black and white as that
