Thry then proceeded to DDoS me for multiple hours. I've already gone to the police about someone DDoS'ing me once, I don't really want to do it again.

The fact people will go out their way to commit a crime just to spite someone on a video game is honestly kinda depressing

I find it really sickening when a killer that didn't play like a douche and got their ass handed to them gets survivors teabaging and taunting at the exit gates. Must be the biggest losers irl that get off so hard for beating someone at a video game, 4v1 no less.

I agree. Whenever I see survivors behave like this in my team I won't bother saving them. These people just get off to making others feel bad

The guy that tunneled the friend i was playing with for being gay.

Wait for real? Some people really shouldn't be allowed multiplayer games 😒

  • For Survivor it completely depends on my team and what killer is using it. If its a blight or a spirit who's using tinkerer and undying it can be the most tedious and boring thing ever. But if I have a solid team who destroy both quickly or power through the gens then it's manageable

For killer I rarely use it. Its only really effective on the higher tier killers who I would say don't really need ruin so I like to run other perks on them. Lower teir killers normally don't see much value out of ruin even with undying unless the survivors just decide to run away from.me the second they hear the terror radius.

This is the main thing i don't like with ruin, it's significantly more effective on the strong killers who dont really need its value to win while the weaker one's, who need it more, really have to push to get value out of it, and that's only if it stays up long enough

  • To be fair alot the recent killers had multiple changes to them from their ptb form and after they had been released so naturally some people may change their minds on them.

I do agree with what alot have said on here already though, people like to take the opinion of their favourite streamer and state it as fact ( the amount of otz, tru3 and Scott jund videos you get on here is a prime example of this)

I honestly think it takes at least a couple months before you can actually get an idea of how strong a killer is. By then survivors should know what counters to do and how effectively they work and killers should know what builds and addons are the best on them

  • They're not weak like everyone claimed them to be but boy do I hate playing against them and playing as them, probably the first killer I've ever felt like this.

Going against them usually ends up with you being slugged which is never fun and Victor's hitbox is just incredibly inconsistent. Playing as them just feels very clunky and off whenever Victor is on the loose. I'm most likely playing them wrong but I really don't know how to play them well without end up slugging and proxy camping with either Victor or Charlotte. They just do not feel fun to play at all imo

  • I.....can't tell if this is serious or not....

  • Make them a tiny bit faster and have a 3rd zombies spawn on the bigger maps. Otherwise I'd say they're OK for now

  • Very rarely, used to see him all the time pre nerf. Now I see blight all the time which isn't a bad thing but I do miss the old chainsaw boi

  • If they at least got rid of perk tiers then that alone would be a big reduction in the grind

  • Overall pretty decent. Feel like an extra zombie should spawn on bigger maps and his tier 3 should be a little bit stronger but other wise he's in a good spot.

I can definitely see zombies becoming something that alot of people will to hate with the RNG aspect to them

  • From experience definitely survivors, but entitled killers I find are alot more close minded than entitled survivors

  • Had a guy unhook himself from the basement while I was carrying another survivor, he jumps out the window and immediately goes down due to a zombie hiding behind there 😂

  • At one point I would have said ghostface but now I'm more inclined to say twins. Going against them or playing them really isn't fun at all with it revolving around slugging. Plus I just find Victor's hits to be complete BS more than half the time

  • If you beat her then probably a sweaty spirit. Otherwise probably one of the weaker killers like legion or just any killer who goes out their way to camp and tunnel

  • If I do play her, I refuse to use anything like ruin/undying or stridor on her. She doesn't need multiple slow downs plain and simple. Spirits who bring loads of slow downs and use her strong addons are the absolute worst and are most likely pissed off players who got previously destroyed by a SFW and just wish to take it out on others for it.

I don't agree with shaming people who play her but if you the kind of Spirit who plays like this then yeah, you are as bad as the survivors who abused the old ds/unbreakable build

  • I was like "what!?" Until I saw who posted this....

The fact its the opposite that's true just makes this funny

  • I've been feeling the same way about him lately but not because of wraith himself, its potatoe team mates that waste all the pallets while he's cloaked or fall for his mind games extremely easily.

It feels like freddy all over again, it's not that he's OP, he just dominates noob survivors more efficiently than alot of other killers and can still apply pressure easily with his stealth speed.

  • Wraith is kinda boring to play, uncloack, hit them, recloack, repeat.

Lately have grown to really hate playing twins as well. The bug were Victor goes through a survivor is just infuriating and their play style is pretty much revolved around slugging and camping which I really don't enjoy doing.

  • @Crowman said:

It's not just Autohaven. Swamp has the same issue (especially Pale Rose). They need to update their generation algorithm since some maps can get really unbalanced rng.

I agree that the other maps can be bad as well, I just feel like Autohaven is the worst culprit for this. I can hardly remember the last time I got a reasonably balanced Autohaven map

  • Tbh it's not her that I hate in particular, its more that every spirit player you go against is using the same perks over and over again with her strongest addons and tends to play very sweaty( because spiritis a killer who totally needs ruin, undying and tinkerer🙄). The rare more casual spirits I actually don't mind going against, even enjoy sometimes

  • I think the only time I've been able to throw off a stridor spirit consistently was when I had 2 TL walls and the killer shack right next to each other. I kept hoping through windows as much as I could and as randomly as I could and it would cause her to run out of her power before she could get a hit.

Otherwise I do agree, her counter play is simply hoping you can throw her off as much as you can which isn't likely if the spirit is even remotely competent. Stridor spirits are simply bad killer players who are using the easiest and strongest thing that they can to secure a win. Spirits who don't rely on stridor or 3-4 gen regression perks I feel are actually good killers and are generally more fun to go against

  • Oh my where do i start?

-Map RNG/ designs: Very rarely get a map that's a perfect medium, its either dead zones with a couple of T L walls or its Pallet city and jungle gym galore

-The perk meta: As you get closer to the high ranks you'll find its gonna be the same builds over and over again. Ruin/undying/tinkerer/BBQ and Dead hard/unbreakable/borrowed/Iron will or DS. This is from most other perks being very situational or just flat out bad.

-Generators: They are the most uninteresting thing in the game and yet are the primary objective for survivors, to hold down a button while doing the occasional quick time event. They are so brain dead to do and and I feel like this is one of the reason why they tend to go so quickly, literally anyone can do them as long as they are focusing on doing them. I don't know how they could change them but it would be better if there was a little bit more thought to repairing them other than holding a button.

-Solo survivor: Its similar to playing a weak killer, you're either gonna have the time of your life and everything is just going to go in your favour or its gonna be the most painful experience you've ever had in a video game that just kills your motivation to keep playing.

-Matchmaking: Nothing much to say about this except why the hell are rank ones still getting matched with green/ yellow ranked survivors and killers?!

-The Emblem system: I'm just gonna say that despite my hours, I am not the best at survivor. The only killers I do well against are bad ones, if they know how to mind game in the slightest I am gonna go down quite quickly. And yet and I can sit comfortably at rank 1 with how easy it is to rank up with the current system which leads to crappy survivors like me being in the high ranks which makes solo survivor a nightmare. The way killers pip and depip make zero sense to me half the time. Get 2 kills and 2 hook the others= depip. Get 1 kill and 3 hooks with the gens being finished in 3 minutes= saftey pip

  • Because I can't do a gen in the killers face without consequence anymore, or save my team mate from a hook in their face, or cleanse their totem with no risk :'( :'(. But that didn't matter because it was totally only used for anti tunnelling ( boy saying that out loud made remember how ridiculous old ds could be)

It is very killer sided. Undying was far from balanced, it was actually a free win. It still is with Ruin or Devour Hope. Killers have hardly been nerfed, all of the buffs outweigh the small insignificant killer nerfs. Overall, killer perks have been overwhelmingly buffed or new strong ones released where survivor perks have been nerfed. And maps are now very killer sided. And finally, hitboxes and pallets are in killer's favor. Survivors at all ranks go down too fast and killers snowball too easy with unfair slowdown perks. Killers crutch their wins with Ruin and POP and tinkerer.

    Killers win too much.

I'm gonna be polite as I can with this. If you are really struggling THIS much with survivor game play as much as you claim on these forums, it might be a you problem rather than game balance. Yes there are some BS things like stridor Spirit, map RNG and overly oppressive addons that need to be addressed but over all as long as you don't have a team that sits in the corner of the map doing nothing or a map with only 5 pallets, you should have a fair chance to win with skill. You make out as if every game, survivors are just getting slaughtered with no mercy when that obviously isn't true. Its about as true as every game being a SWF sweat squad who just bully and harass the weak killer all game, that some killer mains on here like to claim.

  • There's not really a simple answer to that. Sometimes it can be, other times it can be very killers sided. It depends on the maps and the killer being used. While SWF does dominate most killers, solo teams usually get the sort end of the stick a lot more than killers do due to the bad matchmaking and the RNG of maps.

  • yep, crows are very useful to look out for, seeing them come back in an area you haven't been in means they are most likely still there. its why outdoor maps are easier to track

  • Overall its not really either sided. There are so many factors and RNG that can influence how the match is gonna go for either side that you cant really paint a black and white picture of it. If we're talking about the absolute best players then I'd say its slightly more in the survivors favour but there are plenty of thing killers can do now to actually stop them if they are good enough unlike back during 2016-2018 era

  • It doesn't work if killers or survivors end up becoming unstoppable, buffing killers too much would harm the game massively. Imagine trying to play solo if this was to happen

  • Yep, been hit through windows ands pallets constantly and been getting very questionable hits on survivors. As well have not been getting hit when I can see the killer weapon going through the freaking survivor. i swear the hit boxes in the game have a mind of their own

  • @DoritoHead said:

I only give hatch if that person was a good player. Honestly, it really grinds my gears when someone who stealthing away the whole time finds hatch and fast vaults over it for 5 minutes.

These people are honestly the worst kind of players. Thinking they are a god when all they did was get lucky. Nothing more satisfying than sneaking up behind them with a stealth killer and closing the hatch in their face

  • I mean sure if I KNOW that the survivor was bad and just did nothing then yes I will hook them. It depends how merciful I'm feeling to actually give the hatch >:)

IMO the only good Perks for Survivors are either Second Chance Perks or Perks which help to complete the Objective faster. Killers on the other hand have Tracking-, Slowdown- and Chase-Perks which they can use. But most Killers decide just to stack multiple Slowdown-Perks, because it is the easiest to play this game as Killer.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2152638#Comment_2152638

I dont think that there is any better Tracking Perk for close-range Tracking (which would be the case for Lucky Break). Maybe Stridor, because Survivors who run Lucky Break will run Iron Will as well.

But from my experience, it did not really work to disappear on the PTB, however, I am not good at stealthing around and all games were on Coldwind Farm, which might be "a little bit" too bright to try to lose the Killer. But if Lucky Break is actually used and changes the Meta a bit, the Devs did a good thing IMO.

(Remember, many people complain that all Survivors use the same Perks, but if the Devs buff another Perk which might be used, this is also not right)

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2152721#Comment_2152721

Stridor could be a working Perk as well, since most players who run Lucky Break will run Iron Will as well. But regarding Slowdown-Perks, from my experience, Killers who used more than one Slowdown-Perk are worse than those who used one or less Slowdown-Perks. Killers who dont rely that much on Slowdown-Perks are usually also more scary, because they are more confident in their abilities and will probably more likely be able to catch the Survivors in a fast(er) amount of time.

hmm I forgot about Stridor, I could see that becoming more meta, be interesting to see if we'll get killers other than Spirit run it now. I do agree that bad or inexperienced killers rely too much on Slowdowns, but I find that good killers who don't run any or just one can still get absolutely destroyed even if they played perfectly just because the map RNG was not in their favour or they simply did not have the tools to apply enough pressure in time, which then leads them to go "screw it, I'm gonna take ruin, corrupt, pop and undying".

I personally just shrug it off and see if the next game will treat me better but it's understandable why the killer meta revolves around these perks rather than tracking or any others, as much as I do get bored of going against the same thing at high ranks. Same thing can be said for survivors who run second chance perks, sure bad survivors rely on them but it can be also that they got camped/tunnelled last game or have had loads of really bad team mates and end up dying regardless of how well they played so they just think "screw it, im taking dead hard, unbreakable, decisive and borrowed time"

  • @Aven_Fallen said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2152422#Comment_2152422

Yeah, mostly because they are bad. At least when they are running multiple Slowdown-Perks.

But its funny, they complain that tracking might be difficult with new Lucky Break, but they dont want to adapt by adding more Tracking Perks. Because stacking Slowdown-Perks makes the game way easier for them.

Well considering spies is the only one that will work against lucky break, which in itself can be negated by calm spirit, a lot of people are just gonna feel like there's no point in taking them. Its a little bit arrogant to claim that any killer who uses multiple slowdowns is bad. On spirit, nurse and blight sure but surely anyone who has played plenty of killer will get why they get used as much as they do, even if they can be a pain to face as a solo survivor.

  • For killer yes massively. When I do play with a headset, I've been able to find blendettes in bushes due to being able to hear their normal breathing.

For Survivor kind of. If a killer is trying to mind game and its someone like blight or spirit who make noises, you can tell if they have changed directions

  • That's probably just toxic survivors being toxic rather than you being trickster. Though they probably felt alot more cocky to do so with him

However he does seem like he could potentially be similar to old legion which every survivor hated for good reasons to be fair. He's the kind of killer where he will eventually get you no matter what, it just takes an incredibly long time

  • When the there's only 2 survivors left and the killer decides to slug one to stop the hatch opening.

If the killer is going for an adept then it makes sense but otherwise I really do not get why some people feel the need to prolong the match THAT long just for one extra kill and a few extra blood points, plus the endgame collapse exists. You can close the hatch and stop them!

It's so incredibly frustrating and boring to go against someone like this, just let the match end, either you get the kill or the survivor escapes then everyone can move on to the next game

  • He's one of the few killers that control the chase more than the survivors

  • Buddy, you are the killer version of sluzzy with some of the stuff that you post on here...

  • Ghost face by far is my most hated killer. Not only is his reveal mechanic so inconsistent but almost every ghost face player I come across loves to be a toxic douche.

Second would have to be Legion. At least with Spirit there's actually some thought that goes into getting away from her even if it is guess work, Legion is just "oh he stabbed me AGAIN, guess I better hold m1 AGAIN, than after do this gen and hold m1 AGAIN" its just a really dull mechanic to go against. And like ghost face, loads of legions I face get very toxic when they win

Maps would be both of the swamp maps. They look ugly, the RNG in them is awful for both pallets and the hatch, both grim pantry and the ship are a nightmare to chase survivors in if the windows have spawned in a certain way and they are just so dam dark!

  • I noticed this to, been getting loads of keys from chests and seeing survivors get them in my killer games to. I was wondering if something was up!

  • I have noticed that when playing killer, a survivor will drop a pallet right onto of me and I somehow don't get stunned but instead just get pushed back a bit out of the way of the pallet space. Seems to be another random bug

  • Even old freddy is stronger than trickster right now...

  • Well how about this; why does someone raising their middle finger at you make you mad or offend you? Its not hurting you or doing anything, it's just their middle finger.

Tbagging is obviously them giving you the finger or saying "haha screw you". Its their gesture to flip you off

You're gonna get douche bags in any pvp video game so i do agree it's not worth getting mad at but it's still very irritating to go against these kinds of people when you just wanna enjoy yourself and you got some idiot trying to get on your nerves

  • Glad I'm not the only one who thought this was another Sluzzy post

Dunno if it has spread via a bug, but this exact issue (game throws you out with a "no internet connection" error despite everything still working) has been on console for like 2+ years.

To mitigate the chance of that happening, I bandaid it by restarting DBD and my Xbox every 3-5 matches.

When I played on ps4, this only happened to me on the menu. Its only since the new patch that it seems to be in game too

  • @AhoyWolf said:

This literally happened just a few minutes ago, so is it a real bug?

Yep....its happened to some of my friends and some streamers have had it happen to them too

  • Dead hard

I've really grown to hate this perk due to the fact it can make already strong loops even stronger. And if the survivor messes up that loop, dead hard can fix it for them.

  • Its really good that they are willing to do this. Dbd's community isn't the nicest alot of the time and I can only imagine what it must like to deal with the insults and abuse that gets thrown at them. If people can at the very least be mature and civil about it, this can be a big step into helping the game improve
