I just enjoy all the survivors telling OP to get good meanwhile they are the same ones who moan about the patch and wont accept "get good"
While the OP is completely off and I donr agree I just thought it was funny lol

Both sides are not equal. the 1 in the 1v4 should be a lot harder.
The 1 will always be harder than the 4, it's how it always is as the 1 has to micromanage 4 other players while trying to counter, read and predict the 4.
Killer is and will always be the harder role just in terms of management, so if anything killers should get the extra help (which the patch kinda did but not loads)
My point was the patch is fine, its other issues that arent and that is affecting games
-
I love how we can balance for casual survivors but not casual killers, talk about double standards.
The patch is fine, issues that exist are the same ones that have always existed such as tunneling, bad matchmaking and DCs/entitled players giving up. Not to mention map rng and just how different maps are.
Actual balance wise, it's not too bad. Killers stronger and low mmr and survivors stronger at high mmr. And the middle is a mix providing you dont get the above issues (which once again arent patch issues)
-
Most fun matches? I feel that's a preference but I dont mind seeing a billy
Shame that hes so rare and even if they're a good billy they still have to waste ages trying to get a curve on even the most basic of loops, probably why you dont see many

Tunneling is when a killer does everything in his/her power to get someone out of the game, ignoring other survivors, gens, winning and all that which is why its called tunneling, tunnel vision. But now people complain about tunneling after a survivor body blocks with bt or off the record, or even if the killer randomly finds the previous survivor they hooked, 1minute after the person was hooked. They even call it tunneling if the survivor is self caring under the hook like come on, thats the survivor playing poorly, not the killer tunneling.
They have never known what it is, you could have a very old DS where it only deactivated after 60seconds and you'll find someone on a gen completely healed running DS but still get called a tunneler if you go after them when DS deactivated...

Lmao so you just want the survivors to just be running around in the open? Making the game even easier for you?
Wait people still hide in 2022?
You must be some real low mmr, no good survivor including myself cares about getting chased... if anything we encourage it because we know we can loop good an give own team a huge amount of gen time

I disagree, if anything, I'd remove Kindred over Bond.
Bond gives me so much information that is super important that I feel naked without it. I can see where my teammates are doing gens. I can see where my hurt teammates are to heal. I can see where my teammates are when I need a heal.
It also has some nice indirect benefits that I use a lot. If I can hear the heartbeat but I can see my teammate is running around, I know I'm safe to stay on this gen because I can see the killer is chasing someone, not coming to me. If I am being chased and I see my teammate is fixing a gen or being healed to my left, I know I should cut right so that I don't accidentally lead the killer to them.
I love Bond. It's one of my favorite perks when playing survivor
Well I guess that comes down to playstyle, i dont use either but kindred just allows for that mega gen efficiency and give you warning of killer direction and other survivor locations/worked on gens all in one every time they get a hook.
Bond just annoys me when I see people not doing anything, and often in my lobbies people dont care about healing too much they just push gens or use a medkit (usually heal after a gen or save etc. Depending)
-
If we go off an average setup for him (not using iri addons) probably B roughly.
Dont get me wrong he is cool and it's nice his ability has multiple uses such as to attack, vault and even cover distance but his charge up and movement speed penalties hurt him alot especially when it comes to most loops.
Hes great on longer corner structures, as soon as it's not a long right angle his power massively weakens as they often can get round and you no longer get an angle. So most basic loops you wont often get an angle and if you had time to use your ability you could probably just of basic attacked anyway (hes good at shack, and L walls )
-
@tippy2k2 said:
I doubt it. As a Solo Survivor, I already feel like my hand is forced to use Kindred and Bond just to be able to have the same info as a SWF. Perk space is already at a premium for me and a perk that might come in handy the few times I run into a camper doesn't feel like it will be worth it to me.
Remove bond, its pretty pointless tbh...
Kindred is good, windows is another amazing one (helps you find unused loops and also gives you info where the killer is if you see a pallet drop.
@AcelynnBen said:
so let's just set this clear. nobody is gonna complain about camping since reassurance is a thing right?
ur not gonna come here and complain that your teammates aren't running it or u got camped by survivors with it
RIGHT??
in all seriousness im glad they made it, i never was a camper the only time i would camp is in end game collapse with zero hooks, but im glad survivors got a bit of help and a major fix to a problem that existed for years
Eh it's a perk, so band aid fix which most perks are and that's not really addressing anything and that goes for both sides
-
Gonna have to disagree.
Most games I lose will be due to DCs, people giving up or a massive range of skilled players (people that dont touch gens or able to loop while versing obviously skilled killers)
Sure info and stuff will help but that's not the biggest issue for me, it's the DCs and bad matchmaking

I got the game when I was sick so I did nothing but stay home and play the game for about a month straight, so don't know if I'm a casual player just a new one. I got up to iridescent rank 1 and was so happy.
Now it just feels pointless, because about 5 or 10% of matches are the only ones where I stand a chance. Generators are longer apparently now so its less fun as well.
I played killer but it's just not the role I like. I prefer survivor for the hiding and stealth aspect, that's the number one thing I liked about the survivor role. I don't play to win, I played for the fun of escaping killer chases, hiding and saving other survivors in teamwork. But there's none of that now.
I think it's a real shame because I probably would have really liked this game and community, but everyone seems very hostile and not welcoming to new players at all. I literally don't know anyone else who is playing this game anymore because of the update and it just seems like there's a huge disconnect between the hardcore player base and real players in actual scenarios and situations. Maybe you just don't hear from those players because you don't let them in?
In any case, I'm pretty unhappy about this. I spent a lot of money on something which I essentially can't play anymore. Maybe I'll reinstall if they fix some stuff but I guess that's it for me. Seeya
You are a new player then so you have loads to learn and the game is known to be difficult for new players but as you get better the survivor role becomes the stronger one.
Like I said though you can learn and keep trying, play killer as everyone claims it's easy or the game isnt for you long term. And if I sound hostile its because I'm just fed up with people moaning and wanting nerfs because they dont want to put in time to improve or accept they arent that great at it.

Where is your proof though? The only statistics which were ever released show that kill rates for almost every single killer were greater than 50%, and that the map favouring killers favoured them by over 60% whereas the map favouring survivors the most favoured them by just 50.72%. These were released Dec-January (7 months ago)
I want a refund this is not fair at all. If this was what it was like before the update no wonder it is torture now

https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/04F9P3LCMO7K/2022escapekillrates.jpeg
Because stats dont show anything, if we go off them then nurse needs a buff? And it's quite obvious that the map with 50% is still a very survivor sided map if you understand the game, no one with good knowledge of the game will say cowshed is a balanced map.

Wheres the best place to submit it? Could you provide a link please

I dont really like it, I want either a huge terror radius or a small one, having middle ground just hurts you more than anything else tbh and it's weird wesker of all people have this
-
No.
The patch barely changed anything but punished bad and inefficient survivors.
People cried the game should be balanced around casuals, well it is. They just included the killer this time.
My advice, learn what is making the game so hard for you so you can improve on it. If you only play to win then you should definitely be pushing to improve... or just play killer if it's so easy and fun for them and you can still enjoy the game

Ah but you and a lot of people are forgetting one important thing.
PEOPLE ARE NOT BOTS
They are not AI who have to follow the laws of robotics and say "5 is bigger then 2. These are real people outside of a computer screen. We are just talking about straight disconnecting correct, well people will disconnect, and then walk away. Go do something else. Why would they, drag out their loss, in an incredibly frustrating way just so they can get in a match 3 minutes faster, when they can just disconnect and leave. Maybe they come ack in 5 minutes after a break, maybe not, either way its way better for people's mentality to disconnect and then walk away for 5 minutes. Do something else for a bit and choose to come back if they want to. But people are not going to drag out their deaths so their teammates might stand a chance of winning when, A they get nothing from this, and B if people feel the need to disconnect they likely want to take a break anyway. Not many people sit there with their mouse hovering over the start match button waiting for the time to go off. They leave, do things, some times they come back, some times they don't. And people take issue with that? Seriously if you take issue with somebody removing themselves from DBD. That's just.. not a good mindset.
What's not a good mindset is "screw everyone else, this game didnt go exactly how I wanted so no one gets fun"
That is just selfishness and entitlement and the worst mindset physically possible to have. You're expecting everything to go your way or you'll happily ruin it for everyone else.
No doubt people with that mindset would complain about others ruining your fun. Camping, tunneling, DCing, sandbagging, certain killers/perks...
-
@Icaurs said:
OK this is such an awful mindset.
Imagine getting into a match, where one side is clearly overpowering the other side and when someone says, I give up I want to move in hopes to find somebody closer to their skill level, you take offence because you want make them upset. That is so toxic. Its amazing, how people go on and on about bully squad this and 4 man SWF that. When a killer says, I'm not enjoying myself, people rush to their defence and tell them how hard it is. But if a survivor who just want play for a bit before they got sleep and encounter a fully stacked killer and they just say "I give" everyone gets so outraged by it.
The fact most of you are just giving killers free wins because you instantly give up at the start is stupid. Just because you went down fast doesn't mean everyone else will nor does it mean we cant still win.
Fine, but do you know what going down instantly does mean, if that killer chooses too camp you, not only are you almost guaranteed to die, but your teammates are unlikely to finish their generators before that survivor on hook dies. That killer is extremely likely to win, and everybody knows it. Now if a killer chooses to play properly, then yes a 10 second down is not a guaranteed win by any means. But as so many killers say so, they don't have to. They can paly however they want cause its not against the rules.
It's a team game,
No it isn't. If DBD was a team game, then survivors would be scored as a team. They are not. They are scored individually. Survivor is an individual based game, where you cooperate with others, until you don't.
stop throwing everyone's game because it didnt go your way. Learn to stick it out and learn from your mistakes.
Imagine saying that to so many things over the years of DBD.
Insta flash lights
Brand new parts
chain loops
infinites
Complete sabo.
Imagine telling a killer to not DC and to just improve, when survivors were using boil over in the RPD library. Because using boil over in the library is not an exploit. That was using the perk as intended, just really well. Seriously, the audacity of some people, to be like just improve, just get better. Oh but here is the list of 500 things I want nerfed, but that's different because I find it hard. There are may problems in DBD. Things that are just miserable for survivors and killers and I don't blame anyone for giving up against it. But its so infuriating, when people try to guilt players into remaining in unwinnable matches just to flex.
Ah yes, let's compare entitlement survivors who got downed by the killer out playing them to even as you stated "Expoilts" and things which actually broke the game such as infinites.
Yeah because that makes sense, going down to a legion basic attack is the same as expoilts or actual infinites! Silly me! All these killers expoilting hitting survivors grr!

I cannot count the number of games where a survivor has DC'd early in the game, just for us to repair about 4.5 gens in total before losing another survivor and then snowballing to a 4K. So many games could have been easily won.
Similarly, I like to play fair as killer, I spread out hooks and only start killing once everyone's on death hook, and if they're getting the gens done and playing well I might even ease up and let them go, depending on if I need sacrifices for challenges or dailies. (unless they're legit stomping me in which case I stop counting hooks and if they die they die, I'll take whatever I can get at that point) Well survivors DC early in the game, which screws over the other survivors. Then they're not getting all the gens done unless I hard throw, which is boring. They're screwing themselves out of a fair game too, I get that they're probably frustrated from the tunneller they faced before me, but if you don't take your opportunities you'll never see success.
Let's be real here, DCing as a survivor early in the game because something hasn't gone you way, is the equivalent of flipping the board game because you rolled a 1 instead of a 6, then storming off in a huff. You're pissing everyone off and embarrassing yourself.
And these tantrum throwing survivors are probably responsible for a hell of a lot of kills. I wouldn't be surprised if they're responsible for about 10% of kills, which would put a more accurate kill rate at around 40%.
Yep same thing happens to me far too often, worst thing is its usually a weaker killer as well... like come on a weak killer on a good survivor map definitely no need to give up and cry about one fast down
@MikaelaWantsYourBoon said:
It is BHVR's fault, they have garbage matchmaking.
One game i am playing with great solo teammates. And we are playing good, fun match. And then other game i have Claud who is still using Self-Care. And then another game Nea is chasing killer for flashlight save, failing and dc'ing.
This matchmaking is garbage. That's why i am only enjoying with my friends when i play survivor.
But besides all of this, they buffed tunnelling and camping. Both strategies needs fair nerfs.
Well SBMM just sucks in general, its definitely a mixed bag but that's why I say solo Q isnt an issue its more the SBMM as whenever you get a team of your level versing a killer at your level it's good games but then other games you get people who have no clue how to play and give up.
And yeah the tunneling is an issue, still needed at high mmr sadly so I dont blame them but its definitely not fun. BHVR really need to sort out core base issues like tunneling...
I'd like tunnelers to be punished and people who dont rewarded, I do miss my old DS ngl

All I am saying is once I went down after a 10 second chase. I was really salty, but I did not give up. I activated Ultra Instinct and ran them for 5 gens after that.
But also sometimes I just go back down in another 10 seconds. Your mileage may vary.
That too, happens to me often where one chase sucks but the rest are amazing. I feel too many people forget you get multiple chases and it's a 4v1

Beating bad survivors was never an issue.
Hell I still get some people that dont know you get staggered from falling... just because people are bad doesnt make it imbalanced.

@ScottJund said:
Don't think it would fix anything tbh. Non-streamers are most likely not going to get multiple cheaters in a row so the 5 minute wait would be vastly less than the 20 minute wait. Streamers will just get lobby-injected after the 20 minutes so it doesn't fix that either.
You dont have to be a streamer to encounter it and that just highlights how bad the cheater issue is getting.
I honestly dont know why BHVR struggles far more than any other company stopping cheaters/hackers.
I today have had multiple in a row, while most dont keep me hostage Cheaters in general suck a d we shouldn't think of workarounds
-
This just happens when you spend a mass amount of BP in one go, has happened to me multiple times.
You can sometimes swap survivors and open a new BW then go back and it fixes but sometimes you'll get a whole bloodweb failure and itll kick you back to the title screen

they need to let us sale back some of the crappy offering item and add on we never use now.

And yeah I'm not a fan of it, luckily I never prestiged anyone and straight after the patch everyone was p6 so I got all perks and prestige cosmetics. they fix the MM and BP gain and the emblem system pipping de pipping I be happy
Oh that's fair lol, I'm more of the "sweaty" one DH perfectly as the killer swings but I mainly used it because everyone else did and I wasnt gonna make both roles harder for myself
But yeah I'd like a better SBMM, escapes dont show skill at all and I'd even argue kills arent the best either. And yeah I dont get why the grind is still bad, gonna take awhile to get p6 wesker. I never used deadhard and only used DS sometime almost never but deadhard was a needed nerf and DS not working for endgame was good but 3sec stun was over nerf for DS hell selfcare nerf was also dumb.
I mean which this patch there was a lot of good changes but also a lot of dumb ones
Oh I always use DH, still do lol.
But yeah alot of changes made no sense like DS,Pharmacy and even the bloodlust changes.
For the most part it was good though, some perks was definitely gutted like ruin or DS but there are definitely people over reacting about it. I'd argue it's the most balanced it has been overall but some base issues still remain like bad teammates (sbmm issue) and tunneling (no punishment/reward to discourage it)

He means the game plays the same, while gens take longer and killers will use slowdown it results in basically the same outcome as 80second gens with the old gen regression.

What did I say is OP then?
When did I call a weak killer OP?
We have been through this MANY TIMES on SO MANY different topics... oh look heres you defending old DH
The fact you thought old DH was an acceptable state shows you either have no understanding or dont play at a high enough level to where it's used to an unfair level.
Your history is filled with this kind of stuff from calling we killers OP to unbalanced things fine because it's on the survivors side.
I will not go through all your posts and comments every time to prove this to you and everyone else.
You are allowed your opinion, but you are not at the higher level. And the higher the level you go the more it goes survivor sided.

Yes you are casual, you can try and say you arent but I can see your past posts what you call OP and what you complain about...
Saying weak killers are OP or some perk combinations are too strong just highlights that you are casual.. I'm pretty sure you hated pain/deadman combo which no high level player cared about.

If you don't see how the game is still survivor sided that's definitely a you problem. As long as survivors have a modicum of efficiency, map knowledge, and looping skill the advantage is in their favor.
Its because hes very casual, he thinks weak killers like freddy are strong. While hes allowed his own opinion when everyone actually plays at a good level it still leans on the survivors side.
People see one patch buffing killers and call the game killer sided, I still win most of my survivor games even as a solo, but careful we cant talk like this because we magically become killer mains

If the game is still survivor sided for you after the patch I think it might be a you problem.
No I'm just not a baby survivor crying over a 0.3 buff.
Yes killers run slow down and have longer gens but they lost the good actual regression perks.
If you can actually play at a high level its survivor sided, I dont judge the game off bad players sorry I dont see the point.
-
Eh what can we expect... bhvr has been so out of touch what direction they are taking the game in.
They have balanced around bad survivors for so long then one small patch that barely buffed killer and people have lost their minds.
The devs are just so slow on fixing anything or putting things into the game that make for better health.
We still have a bad SBMM system, killers still tunnel because theres no punishment or reward for not doing it, its actually smarter to tunnel even if it's not a fun gameplay.
Simple Quality of life changes that haven't been added or take so long to be addressed.
I do still enjoy the game, I dont see any issues after the patch balance wise as it's still survivor sided but everything is so slow and the cheater/hacker issues atm are killer it fast for me
-
About 70%
Although with all these cheaters I'm seeing I may hit 100% lol.
But nah off peak week days still seems the same as before the patch, i dont play weekends or on peak times usually but if i did my escape rate would be lower. I tried today and the 2 games I didnt get a cheater in I had some very bad teammates lol

I wish you guys would be MORE specific- it’s SWF sided, not survivor sided. Yea SWF’s are a part of survivors, but so are solos and they’re two completely different worlds. Trust me. And yes, I know there are sucky SWF’s and good 4 man solos, but they’re the minority matches. Your average SWF is actually pretty decent at the game and they benefit from the comms advantage, while your average solo are mostly super casuals who are entitled potatoes, making the games miserable for decent solo players. I resent the whole “survivor sided” statement, because it’s usually coming from killer mains who don’t understand the solo experience, & just lump us all into one basket.
No its survivor sided, you dont need to be in a swf to be good... if you have to rely on coms are you actually good?
Solo Q sucks because you get DCs and teammates completely different mmr to you that cant even do a gen or skill checks.... but that dont mean 4 good solos still cant easily win.
The higher you go in mmr the more survivor sided it goes and it's why killers like nurse and blight are used to try have a chance.
You cant say the games not survivor sided because people are bad and cant play, survivors have all the tools to make most games in their favour it's up to them to utilise it.
-
Agree, i have always used DH and still do now.
Iv never understood people that said it was dead, it's still a great and very strong perk
-
If she was truly OP then people wouldn't win, which they do... quite often as well..
unless you're on about the very top % nurse isnt OP, but we dont balance for the top because half the killer roster is a failure and only nurse and blight are made viable making your argument is void.
I versed nurse 80% of my games the other day, is she OP? No, just really strong on a good player most frustrating thing is versing her so often, but that goes for any killer..

Survivor really didnt lose much though, and I wouldn't mind just a small medkit but everyone is stacking strong items and map offerings

After the BP bonuses AND MM Incentives were removed, I've noticed a downswing in my game time.
I guess I just don't get enough 'fake rewards' for my time investment, currently.
Probably just going to be focusing on tomies for a while, I guess.
Just a weird shift I noticed in my own gameplay habits @_@
Since SBMM iv played less and less especially killer. I'm kinda a survivor main the past year now but I still play less, tired of hackers and random teammates rage quitting or refusing to touch gens

Just use it as practice when they do. work on mixing things up and being as unpredictable as possible, while making it as hard as you can on her to get the hits and/or track you. she'll either just give up and go for the easier targets, or waste tons of time with you and maybe even have fun chases. Or you'll just go down and end up out of the match soon either way.
I do, I have even gotten quite a few compliments about how good my chases was but it's more of the fact I just want a normal match

Suiciding on hook could be very easily fixed by literally removing kobes from the game unless you're using Deliverance, or just removing struggle skill checks so you have to wait at least a minute before getting out of the game.
Yeah but they wouldn't do that and some people will just go AFK as theres no kick for being AFK either

Ironically I actually like going against nurse, because it forces me to play LoS mindgames as much as i can and avoid being in the open between loops whenever possible. Even if she (likely) gets you eventually, its still possible for even bad players like me to at least force her to waste some time, which adds up if people arent instantly DCing/hookciding and instead trying the same. It doesnt take too many chases to learn how to bait her into attempting to blink to spots that require more precision to not miss either the blink or the swing after, and if/when she gets you there she just staright up outplayed so cheers. Its going to sound really weird and unrelated, but learning how grapplers and mixups in fighting games works makes you better vs killers like nurse: You go into a situation knowing full well you can lose even if you do the "right" thing, but you learn how and when to hard commit to the best option at the time (even if its not the best option overall, or vs other characters) and roll with the outcome. She forces you to try to play different, which is exactly what people are *saying* they want when they say they hate playing the same 3 killers all day.
Agreed, I enjoy going against her and any other killer just wish my team wasnt so entitled and rage quit the games early on because 3v1 a good nurse is stupid hard especially when others struggle verse her anyway

Yeah, I'm convinced alot of survivors dont actually want to play this game

Or...punish the ones ruining the games against her?
I personally think that if someone DCs too much in a short amount of time they should be banned for a month or even a year. Too many people are ruining games now, it's getting out of hand.
Yeah that's not how DBD works sadly, and people just suicide on hook and refuse to play among the DCs so that wont help.
They will keep doing it till nurse is gutted, like every other killer that gets nerfed.
It's bad enough I see nurse as often as I do but when those games are just unplayable because of my team what's the point in even having them in
