Being super focused and getting those awkward, long-ranged pallet stuns while playing Hag gets me sometimes. It's very annoying. A lunge-centric killer like The Pig never gives me this issue, though.
-
Temporary Self Care should have an increase in healing speed, imo, since it's temporary, and very risky. If it became a meta thing, killers would start taking Mad Grit anyway.
-
The Doctor, Moris, and Hillbilly or dedicated servers.
The Ruin nerf is pretty awful, too.
-
Highest mobility killer with build-in one shots all game long, and full movement speed to boot?
lolwut. This has been a long time coming, especially with the endless nerfs to survivors. Hillbilly might've been balanced a long time ago.
-
Nah. He probably only makes $10/hr as an essential worker. He ain't bringing anything to the table.
-
The way I'd do this is with Trapper using Agitation + Iron Grasp. Allow the further generators to get repaired, so they're funneled a bit closer to the basement. Maybe use a good general tracking perk, such as Stridor.
-
You're supposed to scout your escape routes and environment to survive. Like you would in real life.

Also, his shred isnt amazing. If you know what to do you can dodge it.
Lmao no, Shred is so fast is basically undodgeable, the only thing you can do is predict when demo is going to use it and TRY to fake it so he misses, but once you are in the range of his massive lunge you are literally #########.
I agree with the fact that he makes to much sound tho, but I somewhat agree with it, it serves a great thematic purpose and make him really fun.
lolwut?
Shred is like a poor man's Hillbilly chainsaw. There's so much telegraph and wind-up, and it doesn't cleave like the saw. And, of course, it offers no baseline mobility.
-
Iron Will for Survivor.
Pre-nerf Ruin for Killer. I'd probably use Overcharge otherwise.
-
My only complaint about indoor levels is that blood will almost universally guarantee you can't hide.

The trap makes a loud beeping sound which gets louder and louder as time passes. You also make a ton of noise while using the boxes.
https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1208905#Comment_1208905
I didn't say or even imply that. Are you replying to a wrong thread by mistake?
That still requires her to be close, and boxes aren't often near generators. The beeping itself is quieter than repairs, whereas box usage is roughly the same (still limiting proximity to notice). If she's patrolling boxes, she's devaluing the traps, since she's not pressuring generators over survivors already prevented from repairing them and progressing the game.
I see a lot of Pigs tunnel their trap targets, which is only useful if catching them is easy and you rush them to their last hook with a trap and slug them. Otherwise, it's never worth it.
-
It doesn't reveal you. Unless she's running some EXTREMELY BAD addons that give her a noise notification or something when you get it off. But those are some of her worst addons.
-
Suicide on the hook and pull another game with less cheese.
-
Wait until she's busy carrying someone, or out of range (hard post-buff).
-
The Ruin nerf has affected balance in such a bad, snowballing way. Now we're just seeing survivors reduced to almost no chance to survive against decent killers with a modicum of mobility at anything lower than the top end. I was already having 0 issues getting 4K with Spirit around 0-1 generators left, but now this...
-
I don't use it anymore. I'm mostly built for points and item farming, with a single perk to help keep me alive. It's still a very useful perk.
-
Camping is a legit strategy, and so is killing yourself on the hook to get into a game with a different killer.
-
Tunneling as a standalone strategy isn't very good. Get your first hook or slug, hopefully hit someone else along the way, and then hunt for your second.
What you really want is rolling pressure by constantly having more than one survivor occupied. Any time someone is hooked, that's two survivors that are busy because someone has to go save them. If you managed to down someone before the save, that's 3 survivors guaranteed to be not doing anything: one hooked, one downed, and (at least) one going for a rescue.
To me, this is why Pig actually has the best design, since RBTs will occupy survivors at some point, and increase the value you get out of each hook. Every survivor that's trapped and hooked has to spend additional down time, even if the trap isn't activated. This is either due to them healing because the timer isn't up, or them forced to get it off because it is or will be. She also brought the perk Make Your Choice, encouraging you, and giving a substantial advantage to, get someone else.
The problem I've always seen with the game is that generators are too quick early game, when the killer must be spread the most thin. You can resort to 3-genning, which is a pretty miserable strategy in my eyes. However, most killers struggle with starting their rolling pressure. The game is much more even now at the lower end of the skill levels, with generators much easier to repair for newer players, but it's pretty easy to lose control of a match when playing "fair" now against a team of competent randoms.
-
1.) Hillbilly
2.) Doctor
3.) Trapper
4.) Freddy
5.) Wraith
6.) Myers
Runner-up: Huntress, but only because of dedicated server shenanigans causing hits through walls, trees, objects, etc.
-
I wish you got a timer for when it's about to occur while playing as her.
-
It was a weird change, since Franklin's Demise exists, and killer addons are typically far and away more powerful when combo'd correctly. Most of what survivors have are very nerfed from what they used to be. Particularly, toolboxes (Brand New Part) and flashlights are nothing compared to before.

Iron Will is my go to perk because of this. Dont need Unbreakable, DS, Adrenaline if the killer doesnt find you and you can lose them in a chase.
Iron Will is like a 5000 chance perk if used right. :D
-
It's one of my better survival maps. Of the MacMillan ones, I die most on Suffocation Pit (line of sight, what's that?) and Coal Tower (feels tiny).
-
All of the ones with no visual obstruction.
For survivors, you end up getting bee-lined to, and pallets and juke options are sparse.
For killers, you can't effectively sneak up on survivors.
Everybody loses on those maps. :(
-
Fix dedicated servers:
-Huntress can't throw hatchets through everything
-M1s will always connect properly
-Won't get randomly stuck in animations for 30s+ anymore
-
The difficulty in balancing generators is that the game becomes exponentially more difficult for survivors once someone is downed and hooked, and further more difficult once one is dead, and another is being chased/hooked.
-
I was under the impression that We'll Make It maxes out healing speed, and doesn't stack with anything else. At least, I didn't notice any worthwhile difference stacking those perks wayyyyy back in the day.
Depending on whether and which friends I'm playing with, I'd favor We'll Make It. The healing speed can make dangerous saves a lot better, particularly basement saves against a lot of killers. I think Botany Knowledge is better against worse killers, due to the longevity potential.
-
Penultimate game for rank 1 Pig, pre-Emblems. 4K on Azarov, and the last guy was doing a hatch standoff. There was an active generator beside the hatch, and it's the only animation that the killer can cancel. So, I baited him into jumping into the hatch by doing half of the generator kick animation. I unhooked him and threw him on the hook right in front of it (and then kicked the generator for real). I still have the screenshot. :D
As a survivor, there's so many crazy jukes I've done, but getting a Pig with three 360s in a row and escaping was pretty great. I'm not very good at them. I like hiding in plain sight, too. Iron Will has become my favorite survival perk.

I should also add that nobody knows how to play her either. Yeah SWF bully Hag but they bully every killer that isn't a good Nurse. You need to know when to set traps, remember to set traps as you go etc. If you want to play her right you have to be a bit sweaty and boring but it's very effective once it gets rolling. A good Hag with decent map pressure is nearly unstoppable.
I find Hag to be hard with the Ruin nerf. She has to get her setup to be effective, whereas Trapper can change games with just a couple good traps; Hag needs most of hers out, due to her lower speed.
-
Huntress is pretty busted on dedicated servers. Hatchets are now dodged completely on faith, since dedicated servers don't care if you actually dodged them or not.
-
Play Claudette, so you can recognize her. Her silhouette is incredibly obvious, and hiding in corn husks, reeds, and bamboo bends them all unnaturally. To further this, she's not even the best person to hide in that stuff.
Since she's my main survivor, finding her is easier than finding Bill, Jake, Quentin, and David in a lot of maps because I know what she looks like in all animations and visuals, and I can deduce where someone is hiding because I would likely hide in the same place from a visual standpoint.
-
What's that Nvidia color thing that bad killer mains like to abuse to make survivors and their scratch marks easier to see? Can that be used to manipulate the colors for colorblind people?
-
1.) +1 baseline boxes
or
2.) The ability to activate, at least, the first trap at will.
Also: Rules Set No. 2 made baseline | Ultra Rare addon effect replaced with limiting box visibility to, like, 8-12 meters whilst trapped.
-
Claudette (adorkable), and Jake (tall, dark, handsome). yeet
-
Nurse or Hag, imo.

Yeah Hag is without a doubt a much stronger killer.
Thing with his portals is they are huge too, which makes the game fight with you too often on if you can even place them or not, making you waste so much time.
Yeah, I've found it's nice to get them out ASAP, but I actually don't find myself using them as much as I should. You can't reset them unless they're destroyed, so it's risky to just dump them out of convenience.
-
Hillbilly. It's dumb how he's the best of multiple killers and has so many built-in perks. Last time I bothered playing him in green/purple ranks for a daily, I 4K'd via slugging at 5 gens. Maybe I'd struggle now that Ruin is nerfed and I haven't played him in a long time.
Wraith and Legion are boring and I reroll their dailies as often as possible.

Hag or Nurse. Hag is 110%, and I have no clue how to use her traps and am always way too far away to teleport to them when someone triggers them. Nurse, especially on console for me, feels terrible, especially with the blink recharge.
I got kinda demoralized first learning her, but that was before ANY of her buffs. With practice, and her new buffs, she's a little monster.
-
It should be baseline, and the new replacement addon should limit box vision to, like, 8 meters.
-
I have crappy perks on Demogorgon right now. His Shred is fun, and free points, but not as reliable as even Pig's Ambush; however, it has INSANE range at full charge.
My only issue is getting portals down as fast as possible. He's a more simplistic version of Hag, tbh, but the lack of immediacy of his portals is what sets the two apart and makes her infinitely more deadly with any momentum.
I think he's the halfway point in design between Hag and Pig, sort of like how Ghostface is like an amalgamation of Myers and Pig (though his mechanics are still super buggy).
-
Are you saying you're struggling to hit survivors doing 360s?
-
I run Huntress' Lullaby now. There's a 50% chance no one looks for it until it reaches critical mass, whereas people will still kinda look for Ruin, or flat out ignore it--there isn't anything tangible I can do about that.

The Law of the Internet:
Gay, until proven otherwise.

I don't enjoy playing against certain killers, and end up in massive strings of facing them.
As for killer, it's usually just the queues that annoy me. The Ruin nerf is pretty severe for some killers, and while I've managed with Spirit so far, I've found it difficult to establish rolling pressure for Pig. I've reverted back to the boring, and honestly overpowered, Enduring/Spirit Fury combo. I mean, Demogorgon has more pressure than her prior to getting at least one trap/hook going.
I'm also unlucky when playing the survivors, since generators just never seem to get done in any situation.
-
I hate that perk because I literally never get to use it. Something like Iron Will has served me infinitely more.
-
Jake or Meg overall. Maybe Feng, but it depends on how you weight their skills in surviving.

Or just better totem spots, but the idea isn't too bad nor great.
The new Lery's puts them inside of objects. Had a game where the entire team ran around looking, so I'm pretty sure it bugged out and spawned inside of a wall, since we found all 4 dulls.

Barebeque & Chili

Pre-nerf Ruin. Also used MYC and NOED a lot.
-
The Spirit is a more balanced version of Hillbilly's archetype.
-
I don't know how he got weaker after multiple buffs. The basic Shock Blast buffs in particular were massive. He's also one of the few killers to really take advantage of the Ruin changes.
