*Mildly Offensive* Is a matter of opinion. Especially if you are close to someone with the condition they were mocking.
I'm glad he was booted, this is the first I've heard of it.
Maybe you should consider what this particular person did before that. Kinda strange one gets punished for KEKW and the other making direct insults gets nothing.

Yep. He even had fellow Fog Whisperer friends of his (which is literally all of the Fog Whisperers except for like..one) offer to leave the program in protest. He told them "don't you dare, they give you a ######### ton of free auric cells".
Interesting, I was baffled when he explained to me on stream why nobody of the other protested that. I think they should've done anyway.

Ruin change did hurt killers massively. But i will admit the new ruin with thrilling tremors is a great combination
Sadly i agree that lower ranks are usually more fun to play as its less stressful
I hope you know that thrilling tremors stops the work of ruin.

It really takes being a killer main at high ranks or at least 50/50 to be able to understand how bad the problem really is. Glad you feel the same way though.
Playin mostly swf but we are a group that plays longtime together and well when any is not around I do play killer. I just dislike randoms with the rank inflation regarding skill. However this happens more than I want it to due to the fact that they prefer to play other games and the time we actually spend in DBD is less and less. One can check for example bug section and see how many gamebreaking stuff there is for powers for example you know not only the common bs that we all put up with. April can not come soon enough.

Because that doesn't work. Only those who live in a country with one spoken language in the lobbies seem to think so.
Europe or Asia are completely different and you can be in a lobby with 4 other languages so balancing that cannot work.
What would you do to sort that scenario out?
Then there are the trolls, the ones who scream "save me" and are just overall toxic people. End game chat is bad enough.
No.
Go play Dota2. Find out that you can even play with people from SEA region using english, do you think english is my native language? I know I make mistakes and it is far from perfect, it will be enough to talk with other people. Than there is french, russian and if you are so reliant on communicating everything there are also translators like deepl which do a pretty good job even regarding grammar.
This is like saying you can not make vacation in country x because you do not speak the language there which is just wrong but hey keep the world as little as you want for you.
Oh and on a sidenote, not every SWF does indeed use comms. So giving everybody the possibility, which everybody has anyway, is just the most logical step and probably the best for game health. Kinda strange that people oppose to it.

Kinda long but please read. I will illustrate what playing killer is and survivor is like at higher ranks so we can have a better mutual understanding of the issue at hand.
When playing killer role, you are the driver in the vehicle, except, the vehicle is a self-driving Tesla which hasn't even made it to the beta stage, so if just one mistake occurs you might be [BAD WORD HERE], which gives you the illusion that you might be in control because you're the Killer, or in this case the "driver" only to find out that it is just a title and nothing more. The whole time you're in stress not knowing what's gonna happen only that you have to do your best to try and press on the brakes of the car that the engineers forgot to tell you were there only for display purposes.
The only way to have some control over this vehicle is using a special type of "Killer" or in this case steering wheel that will let you maneuver some, however, you still cannot touch the pedal of the car, only make the car itself try to take a longer route to the endgame destination.
Then there is survivor role, you're the pedal of the vehicle, you determine the speed of the car and how fast you want it to make it to your destination, or in this case, the endgame.
Sure everybody makes it to the endgame eventually, except some pay a higher price in stress and focus than others. It is at this point that as Killer that I feel that I'm doing BHVR a favor when I decide to play killer, and yes decide because at the end of the day I don't HAVE TO play killer at all if I don't want to. As killer, you don't get anything out of it anymore, and the amount of energy and focus required to play is ridiculously stressful and unrewarding. Whereas survivor, I can walk to my fridge mid-game and two gens will still have popped regardless.
If you notice there's a patter in these screenshots, it's not necessarily the items brought it, but the Killers available to "drive" this vehicle. NONE of these games were fun by the way, try to at least understand that part.
The last screenshot is from a guy who I've played with and against who is actually a really good player, but I guess those days are over, I'd say "pretty good job so far," but really, it hasn't been at all...

It is amazing that people never bring up that ruin taught all of the good survivors how to hit great skillchecks because you had to.

Endstille you’re all over this site deflecting every issue people are experiencing playing survivor aren’t you 😂 I think I’m gonna have to agree with this guy on the speed thing, if killers have ranged attacks they don’t need the speed. Especially trappers speed 😂 trapper is insanely fast. That dude gains distance on people like no other. Not to mention I’ve seen his traps reset themselves on a gen that has one spot open. That’s not OP. No. Not at all. Smh. Killer mains galore in here. Just fighting for every buff they get. Gl finding one less survivor when they get them.
Can you just stop pretending like you have any clue about the game at all? You are a noob that has no basic understanding, you don't even know the movementspeed for the killers, clown shares the default ms of 115 which most killers do, trapper too. The fact that you just run in a straight line cause you have no clue on what to do as a rank 15 doesn't mean that there are adjustments needed but that you need to learn how to play the game and git gud.
Insanely fast Trapper dude 115 OP plZT nerF, me not noob nononono! You don't even understand that there is a mechanic called bloodlust which increases the movement speed of killers, the longer they chase a single survivor without getting a hit or breaking a pallet. Do you even know why this mechanic exists? Yeah cause maps are so busted that you could run killers forever without it.
Go ahead stream, I wanna see your killergameplay on r1, just remember wraith without anything since he is so OP, in fact make it 50/50 clown / wraith all 4ks since it is just so OP, insane fast dude.

You can play who you want obviously but understand that some people like me are completely bored by freddy. I happen not to enjoy playing against him or as him, just dull and boring.

Survivor :
BL: Another lazy change to cover up something completely broken which is map designs.
Killer :
Nurse basekit change, addons needed changing but the basekit change is garbage. Also the amount of lazy put into the changes, not even having the decency to actually finish it and fix all the bugs.
Ruin, ruin wasn't that opressive, was a bandaid for again bad designs and core issues. Turning it into a garbage useless perk is/was unjustified. 60% of games were played without ruin, they can gather stats from there. When devs state stuff like great late game hex, you wonder if they play the game at all.

Either way, killers will continue to cry regardless, the sheer amount of times I've body blocked as solo and have been "accused" of playing SWF is ridiculous, killers have gotten bored of killing survivors and have set their sites on killing the game.
They demand map size reductions while also demanding buffs across the board, it's getting boring now, killer really ain't that hard.
Spoken like the true rank 20 that you are.
You claim it isn*'t hard, ok. Dare to challenge anybody that is even remotely known in the survivor community. Since it isn't that hard you should be able to 4k each time when you sweat right? I doubt you wíll do anything of that.

i just hope predator is better than this

Well if they make the game any easier for survivor i will be done for good. Right now survivor lacks fun cause it is too easy to play. I want a challenge and be able to play with friends. Seems that this is completely ignored, i wonder if there is another infinite on the new map like on sanctum. I mean i would expect them after 3 years not to make such loops but seems they do not care or whatever their problem is.

Voice coms killed Friday The 13th even with muting, going into matches just hear little kids shouting N Bombs, F Bombs, R Bombs, playing their music, it would ultimately just be everyone loading into a match and muting each other, killers think they have a tough time in end game chat but are welcoming of a voice chat that will just be ignored, but I think killers know that already.
Oh please as if voice com ever ruined a single game. Go play some dota 2, you will either have people that you have to mute or not but in any case chance exists that people actually work together as a team. A voice chat will not be completely ignored afaik on ps4 people invite each other for example and use voice chat anyway, steam comes with built in voice chat why not just make it official and pretend that this is not the default?

KYF is not a substitute for SWF.
He said without SWF there is no option to play with your friends which I just corrected. Point stands that it is stupid to not add voicecom for everyone in the game and a mute button for the special people, balance around that. Why this isn't being done, nobody knows.

"They are the power role"
You haven't played killer lately have you? The killer has to struggle constantly to make up for everything the survivors are capable of accomplishing. Between gen speeds and second chance perks, the killer starts the game in a position of weakness, hunting for survivors and desperately trying to stop gen progression; meanwhile, survivors start the game in a position of strength. Especially with SWF (as it gives them three free aura reading perks).
Regardless of whether OoO should exist, the game is heavily tilted toward survivors. Play killer at prime time in the mid to high ranks, and you'll learn.
Once again my post was a joke, i thought the "goof around with friends" part made it obvious.

"The minimal amount of time that it would take to frequently do so would allow for consistent feedback, design ideas for underutilized perks, and promote actual discussion (backed by data) regarding problem areas that people are using perks to 'band-aid.'"
This is the idea behind releasing stats, and I absolutely agree with you, and this is why we've tried releasing stats in the past. However, each time it just ends up in a mess. Rather than sparking interesting discussions, they more often or not end up being scrutinized with questions about their validity when the numbers don't match someone's personal experiences. It's an onslaught of, "Does this count? Are you excluding that?", or conclusions being drawn based off of very broad numbers (averages), and it frankly just causes more confusion than it helps.
In a perfect world, I would love to release stats on a regular basis, but it's hard to justify when releasing them only causes more harm than good.
How has it done more harm than good? Is it really that bad that people ask questions about the stats?
Sure some people will flame and take the stats to justify about everything with it, however when you make a statspage for dbd so people can actually have like always access to them and not just once in a year more interesting discussions would come to fruition sometimes people can make points that you might missed or were not even aware of.
Can you blame the people asking about validity when you release something called "red ranks" which only considers the killer's rank at the start of the match? Give us stats on a regular basis without such misleading descriptions.

Agreed. I played a game earlier against a killer who’d appeared to be absent and did not hit anyone all game. During the game I completed three gens, cleaned two totems and opened the exit gate whilst not running into the killer at any time. All of this counted towards a 0 pip.
Do you feel you should be rewarded for facing a trial without a killer?

but just because its boring doesnt mean it shouldnt be rewarding to AVOID getting butchered?
the stealthy blokes often get the gens done. they need credit too.
Being found doesn't equal to being butchered. When you play solo you are like, well at least he is chasing me and not them because a fair amount of time you will find people playing horrible, straight up garbage players that are unable to loop 1min +
So is it going to help to stay hidden for longer? no it will help when you take over and show the killer what is what.

@Beardedragon said:
A bit of a weird rant after having played survivor where i was mostly unseen.
I think its sad that this game gives more credit to people who get chased, downed, survives, chases some more, than people who entirely avoid being attacked to begin with.
i could go through an entire game not being seen, working on gens here and there, doing totems, and it still wouldnt net me more than if i had been the distraction, made unsafe hooks with DS and BT. Dont get me wrong, rescuing survivors is as important, if not more, than doing a generator.
I think its sad, because my vision of what this game SHOULD be, would be survivors being stealthy, chased for a small amount of time and more or less hooked afterwards. Sure you should be able to run, but no way did i ever think that looping and running from pallet drop to palletdrop would be the way i wanted this game going down (not that it was ever different, but before i bought it years ago). being actually able to be chased for literal minutes, is not my vision of this game.
What we have is a gameplay that gives more points when you are being frisky with the loops and chased down, protection hits etc. Basically the guy sitting behind not distracting the killer only doing gens and totems, gets less points, if the distraction guys do their job well.
Being completely unseen, or more or less unseen, doesnt reward you at all. to heal and get points, you gotta get hit. a lot of BPs comes from actually being "bad" at hiding and being in the killers face or within his terror radius.
im not bringing any suggestions because i dont know how that would work. i would just like to see a thicker mist maybe for easier stealth play, but making it easier for the killer to actually down survivors if they are actually caught. the fact you can just swarm a hook to get the guy down is also weird. why dont all killers have a cleave to avoid that?
What do we do about campers then? i have no idea. those were just my two cents really. im just spewing out whats in my brain, but it always bothered me a bit that when im being a good survivor not being attacked, staying hidden doing gens and totems not being hooked etc, then im often not rewarded very well. many perks would have to change tho, so killers cant just find people and insta gib them.
Thing is survivors can be chased for a long amount of time, depending on the killer and obviously the skill of each side. However stealth is utterly boring, nobody neither killer or survivor has time to waste. Also interacting with the other side is basicly the whole game so tryin to like get rewarded for not interacting with it is like something that should not be rewarded imo.
I know you disagree as you have another viewpoint on the matter but thing is that survivor chases are not that short depending on skill in chase.

Active Reverse Bear Traps:
Active Reverse Bear Traps initiate a countdown timer. A Survivor with an active Reverse Bear Trap is automatically sacrificed when their timer expires or if they attempt to leave the Trial with it still attached.
Basically i had a game where i trashed 2 people inside the gate area after it was opened, then i gave them both a trap on their faces, yet they still crawled out afterwards? how is that possible? it clearly says they cant leave with the bear trap on, yet they could?
why?
The trap needs to activate. So when you put a RBT on them a gen needs to be finished in order for the trap to activate otherwise the trap is inactive and they can walk out of the door.

For a couple of months now, I've seen a lot of different viewpoints on the biggest issue in Dead By Daylight right now.
What I want to know is, in YOUR opinion, the biggest issue in the game, and how might you solve it?
I imagine it'd be interesting to see how many times different problems come up, but more so interesting your solutions to the problems. You could also riff off other people's solutions to improve upon them or whatnot.
I'll start: My biggest issue is map size and unfair map RNG. Obviously, big maps are just an issue because DBD doesn't work with big maps, but some maps can become completely unfair to either side depending on RNG. THe biggest culprit are Autohaven maps, in my opinion. Especially Gas Heaven, that map can be 5 tractor track tiles, or 5 double truck loops. This is just one example. tons of other maps have completely wild RNG.
All you'd have to do to fix this is but more time and effort into the tile weight system. IDK what it is right now, but it clearly doesn't work properly. That, and just make the big maps smaller.
The biggest problem is causing other problems -> Each addition of content brings new bugs, new problems which take up months of fixing. Take nurse rework, entire killer is riddled with bugs and ######### but no sign of it being fixed. When you do a thing like that why not at least finish it and deliver it bug free?
The only way to stop this is probably to put a halt on everything regarding new content and focus on game health, core issues. It is naive to assume that you are going to solve issues that date back since "forever" while you add in new stuff that creates new problems, more people are aware of.
Take for example map sizes, simply shrinking maps just by the space they have would not solve anything due to structures being cluttered together so some stuff has to be deleted and so on.
I wish that the killer would feel more powerful, it is almost like playin dark souls for the first time and comparing it to a vet but you know like the killers lose like their entire purpose of being a threat.

Killers will not be happy until the 4k is guaranteed. With everything complained about on here, survivors should have no perks, no items, no terrain to hide behind, no hatch, and doing a gen should require five, uninterrupted minutes of repair or it resets to zero. Hell, why should survivors even be allowed to run? Just disable the function. No running. Just walk onto my hooks please.
Do you actually have any point or is it just assumptions based on weird exaggeration?

Just die on hook. What's the point? You're now on death hook and your teammates are incompetent so it's already pretty much over anyway. It's especially awful when you go down after a 2 minute chase and they leave you. And there still aren't any gens done
Well that sucks but usually gens should be done when you leave someone on hook as long. However you still can take more points with you, death hook =/= death . But hey throw the towel if it pleases you.

Before I continue, let me preface this with "I'm a killer main" but I also play Survivor and I have been a fair amount recently.
Anyway. Recently, I have gotten into 3 games, back to back with The Oni. Now the way to beat the Oni is to gen rush him, don't both healing. However, personally, I feel that the Oni should be nerfed in many a capacity
For a start, he can whip around corners with his demon dash, who came up with that and why? With the Billy, it's a tad different, you have a chance to miss but with the Oni, it's near impossible to miss. Especially around trucks etc.
and lastly but certainly not least. He gains blood fury ridiculously quick, I get the idea of the power but my god, he can go from Blood Fury to Demon Dash to Downed Survivor to Hooked Survivor and back to Blood Fury again within easily 1-2 minutes if he's efficient. Why?
Please, nerf him.
Also, off topic. Why did BHVR feel the need to remove the thing where you can't leave the trial with a bear trap on your head from the Pig, that's literally her entire kit and is precisely the point of the bear trap and yet they removed it. Now Pig mains get to be bullied at the gates and still escape, nice one.
I have a hard time playing oni, well not exactly hard but i have to get used to his power. But as with probably all other killers, they have their weakness. Oni can not do the real sharp turns just 90° and yeah you should heal against oni.

I think with the upcoming sabo changes, bloodwarden will be nullified so it needs some kind of rework but yeah doubt it will happen anytime soon.

they can call put what i do to teammates if swf
they know where i broke pallets and not tun to a deathzone
what do i get oh that guy is on a gen goodluck if ur already in a chase
the trade off is astranomical in the survivors faces

Billy - No cooldown
Nurse - Slight cooldown
Michael - No cooldown (buildup instadowns)
Pig - No cooldown
Hag - No cooldown
Doctor - No Cooldown on Shock Therapy; Cooldown on Static Blast
Huntress - No cooldown; just reloads.
Hag - No cooldown
Bubba - No cooldown
Freddy - No cooldown on Snares; Cooldown on Teleport
Plague - No cooldown
Legion - Cooldown
Spirit - Cooldown
Clown - No cooldown
Ghostface - Cooldown (115% m/s no terror radius, can be used for stealth and instadowns)
Demo - No cooldown on Shred; Cooldown on Teleport
Oni - No cooldown (buildup instadowns)
Deathslinger - No cooldown; just reloads
Where are these “so many killers with cooldowns”? The majority don’t.

Am I the only one that feels the devs are scared to make strong perks now? I think the Mettle of Man debacle has caused future perks to be too weak. Many new perks have long cooldowns, multiple conditions to activate, etc. They're just too niche to have real power.
I'm not excited for Chapter 15 for this reason, and the same could be said about the Oni and Stranger Things DLCs as well. There seems to be 1 decent perk in the bunch and then the rest are straight-up filler to clog my bloodwebs.
I just find the new content underwhelming. Anyone agree with me?
Survivors get instaheal in perkform back. Like how can you say that is bad? You can reset an entire chase with no effort at all which was the reason why it was nerfed in the first place and now they add it back in just as perk. Counterquestion: Was Otz supposed to have an easy time using the worst addons and worst perks on one of the "weakest killers" in the game? Was he supposed to have a blast despite the fact the survivors ran meta perks?
This video basically shows survivor perks don't matter. You can play one of the weaker killers (yes Bubba is my favourite killer and I've been maining him since day 1 of his release but that doesn't change the fact he's easily countered) and run the worst possible addons/perks and still 4k/2pip.
No, the problem is not him having a hard time that was the expected result of the build. Yet you ignore the part where the survivors throw the game completely because all they do is make mistake after mistake but have no trouble to recover from it.

Seriously? You still cryng about ruin?
Tell me at least other 5 changes that were implemented just to please "le baby survivors" that isnt your precious crutch perk, i will be waiting.
Most recent would be sabo changes so it doesn't require any preparation on survivor side. Enduring/DS buff comes to mind, remember when DS was buffed cause it was lowered by Enduring yet the buff was left as is even when it was changed so it no longer affects stun time from DS. BT a perk being buffed over and over again which encourages bad survivor play. Fire Up, nerf comes to mind. Old Freddy.
Yes ruin was a bandaid for lots of issues. Removing the bandaid without fixes to those issues was a dumb move.

Ok, so stop complaining when there ARE survivors that put this much time into the game, like I said, every killer on this forum whines about how the devs balance against low rank survivors, and that the game should be balanced around high ranked gameplay... but when you say the same thing to killers... it's... "I'm not this person", "I don't have the time to play this well"... etc etc.
No the thing I see are people complaining that the game gets balanced for low ranked survivors who are too dumb to play cause the consequence of this is a heavy unbalance in highrank.
You know the part where both sides should be skilled. This ofc requires both sides to have a skill floor but this is what the survivor side is completely missing right now. Nobody has a problem with skilled survivors. You wanna talked about skill? This ash got hit twice with the same chainsaw charge by bubba, a bubba who carries ######### distressing.
The problem is that when you balance for low ranks, doesn't matter on which side you do it, you will have completely unfair matches in the high ranks.

And? Aren't killers always complaining about how the devs only balance around "low ranked survivors", why don't more players get on Otz level?
What a dumb question is this? Not everybody has the time to waste 6-8hrs a day in dbd to play killer. But thank god the game on survivor side is balanced around people who are not able to hit a skillcheck.
See this is the dumb entitlement right here, as killer get on the level of Otz, somebody who earns his money via playing the game and meanwhile survivor should be so dumb easy that a braindead monkey can defeat that player.
You are the reason why dbd gets boring af and there is hardly any challenge in the game as survivor.
