Yea with how much it hinders i'm surprised it's purple. Always a blast playing mirror myers, scratched especially.

So instead of providing survivors with some kind of come back mechanic, you want to punish those who want to survive. And then you will create a thread about "why are all soloQ survivors giving up 1st hook all of a sudden???" or "why does my killer queue take so long???
it's not really a comeback mechanic when they're hiding in some corner dropping and picking up an item with distortion

Yes I'm sure. It even had a picture of his entire head on it, not his hand or his eye
Only Hand and Eye were added.

Not only have just had the pleasure of enduring five games in a row with different killer players (but all playing Legion) with an absolutely disgusting gen-block or late game build (including Moris), playing like their life depended on getting a 4K before 2 gens pop, but I also just got harassed in the endgame chat of the sixth game for using the MLM badge.
In effing pride month…
Since I am actually gay and not just using the badge to show solidarity with the LGBTQ community, this hurts double. I'm seriously disappointed in the community. I looked forward to playing the Twisted Masquerade ever since it was announced, having had a blast with the twisted skills last year. Now, I don't feel like playing the game at all anymore.
you can turn off endgame chat you know. Doesn't make what they're saying right but it is a fix.

I'm not sure if mmr is on for the event playlist or not. I've had people who seem newish and people who are definitely not new.

well,
there are a lot of players out there who sweat like pigs. It seems that these players need a plus of hidden MMR. It must be very important to these people, even if they will never see their number.
Just asking out of interest....
I'm not really sure. If you go by prestiges i have some games where the survivors are all under 6 and some where none are under 70. I think it's active but i mean MMR usually doesn't do much in the first place.

or is it just me.
It's the fact that you need to have them slotted for progress to be made. That's the biggest issue with it, many people will do the survivor/killer challenges then go back to previous tomes to gain more bps from those. Have the community challenge slotted is not really worth it if you have your progress already or have other challenges to do still in other tomes.
-
@Cryptikk said:
Seriously, there is no chance for flashlight saves or anything, and it's leading to sweaty killer game after sweaty killer game in what I assume was meant to be a fun, silly game mode? It's unbalanced, especially for solo queue.
Behavior, why does there always have to be some OP gimmick in your events, the snowman free health states from two years ago, the insta exposed last year and now the insta hook. I feel like I am actively encouraged to just play the normal playlist instead of this event because it is not a fun time at all.
Every time there is to be a nice and cool event, there always has to be some bullshit gimmick that your devs go overboard with.
also, sidenote but another thing I want to vent about: how do you not learn to lower the numbers for these challenges after last time you had to lower them??
It not the amount for the community challenges, it's the fact that you have to have that challenge selected in order for it to gain progress. Considering most people have previous challenges from tomes to do that give extra bp i don't think people want something to just sit there and give them nothing.
-
These wouldn't be bad if you didn't have to select them as your challenge to progress them. Probably why on day 2 it was still under 1mil progress.

With devour hope, find the totem, put your trap and now you have 5 tokens of devour hope secured.
It's not really that easy as traps can get destroyed pretty quickly. also you'd have to zone off that area pretty much for effective defense.
-
I don't really think she's underrated she's super strong but i think some maps kind of aren't as good for her. Basement hag traps are a death sentence usually.
-
I feel like it's just random any time of day. Have probably had more super toxic killers during the afternoon though recently. Tunnels, facecamps and smacks on hook.
-
Have yet to decide, generally want around ~100 on killers i plan to play and maybe a bit more on others like nurse, huntress, and wesker. For survivor going to stock up a good amount though i just barely finished burning all the ones i had from last year (think i had around 400-500 on leon). Hopefully get a similar amount total on survivor.
-
@Iron_Cutlass said:
What addons are you using?
Nurse's Fatigue is based on the amount of blinks you are doing and rather you swing or not. Addons can make the Fatigue period longer by adding more blinks or changing other aspects of the power.
add-ons that reduce fatigue. Played her a day before the event and was fine but during sometimes the fatigues on 1 blink will be an extra second long.

@Coriander said:
Sable is so new, why do people hate her already? I'm trying to unlock her during the event.
Because all the kate/feng/meg/mikaela players have flocked to sable and she is not tiers above haddie, elodie, and others in terms of popularity so outfits are just going to be handed out frequently. I mean i think Nea has had an outfit on 2 out of the past 3 rifts at least maybe more counting the deep rift outfits.
-
probably 1 or 2. I've done all achievements in the game though i did a lot of them way way way back before matchmaking was MMR based and before Endgame collapse was a thing. For instance my repair the last gen and leave while last person alive was done because a trapper was camping the hatch and waiting to grab me at it so i went and repaired i think 2 or 3 gens and opened a gate and left.
My Myers Evil Incarnate took a couple games but was doing it at like rank 20 so it was against basically new people. Got t3 mori'd 3 found hatch and stood on it till i saw the last running around.
RPD was a pain simply because the amount of times it took and requiring you to open the exit and escape not just leave. The blessing hexes was also somewhat of a pain as well. -

You sure that it isnt when Killers get every hook denied by sabo or being blinded?
Or Maps generating a large amount of pallettes you can't mindgame?
Or Maps that are just bad for some killers?
Or Loops with multiple Pallettes in it? Like 2 Pallettes between 3 objects multiple times on the same map?
Or a buggy map where some pallette locations have 2 pallettes in them?
I dont get how Survivors, especially SWFs, can be the most unfun people to face, doing everything in their power to make sure a Killer trying to play fair has no way to get a hook, and then turn around and beg daddy BHVR to give them more buffs, and to nerf the evil killers who can by design just ignore some of their antics.
The game is asymmetric, so it is completely understandable, that survivors playing solo, or that dont have multiple thousand hours feel like (some) Killers are unfairly strong. That's why I think all this is baked into the game. Killers have to be strong, they have to fight 4 people.
Survivors, just playing the game as a "run away from Killer game", are completely justified to feel like no matter what they do, the Killer always gets them, unless they are really good.
But Killers who just want to have fun and then face SWFs, sabo-rush, gen rush or just run 4 flashlights are also completely justified to think the whole design of the game is just to make them miserable.
So unless you commit to be at least a little bit toxic every game, you just risk the game not being fun.
That is why I think this game is only as much fun as the enemy lets you have, and unless you commit to treating them the same, that is just how it's going to be.https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3736996#Comment_3736996
The problem is that these things are extremely reliable if you've learned them once.
How often do SWFs fail their Flashlight save? How often do SWFs miss their chain-blinds? Or Blinds after Stuns? Or Blinds when breaking Pallette?
The Sabo buff literally made it impossible to counteract the hook breaking, if the survivors have the correct Toolbox and Addons?
You can Hit a survivor, and in the time you recover they completely sabo the hook, so you drop who you're carrying and have to hope you get to another Hook before the one who sabo'd wiggles free.
And that is only if they sabo in your face.
If they just always somewhat stick together, they can easily react to their teammate being picked up and Sabo from a distance where they were never in danger.
Is the expectation here, that every Killer should pick up Lightborn and Agitation and/or Iron Grip?
Well, then you wont have the regression/slowdown needed to counteract a gen rush. The only alternative is slugging. But to successfully slug you need to get 2 downs, and against a coordinated team, especially if they are good at saves, you are not getting 2 downs before the one you slugged is being picked up.
You can camp the one person you slugged, but what you get is 3 people healing and baiting you into a pallette or blind because they only need half a second to pick the slug up again.
It's also pretty naive, to think a 3-gen is a huge deal, when you face a 4-man SWF.
A 3 Gen is only a really bad situation to be in, if you only have 2 or 3 survivors left, but with 4, the Killer is screwed anyway.
You cant chase survivors because they will bait you to the other side of the map while the 3 remaining just rush gen, you cant patrol because they just repair the ones with the most distance between them little by little.
Finally, you could always say I play the game wrong.
That I refuse to get better because I refuse to play strong builds, but I like to insist, that I just wanna have fun. I dont want to sweat with builds that only frustrate survivors in preparation that I will face 4 P100 SWF survs, when for some reason it seems I am also matched with people playing their 10th game or so.
So there is little for me to do, but accept that in like 25-50% of games I will face people against whom I will not have fun. And to accept that because I will face really new people, sometimes they wont have fun agains me, even though I am technically bad at the game, because they haven't yet realized that there are things you can reliably learn to do on reaction that will disable a lot of Killers.I mean if you're getting blinded every pick up or stunned idk what to tell you. I go against plenty of SWF and skilled survivors and have little to no issue dealing with them. You just have to know what to do and when or if you want to slot in lightborn. Could also play a stronger killer like nurse or something as well. I stated a big issue i see when playing both sides that survivors do which is refuse to touch the gens or put themselves in a nasty 3-gen.

Why doesn't the boon stay active? The perk only creates the boon? Does the table disappear when the carpenter dies?
consider it to be part of your character, your character is gone which means it's gone too.
-
The game is not very new person/low hour player friendly. if you don't know maps somewhat or loops or how to mind game somewhat you may have a bad time, heck even if you do know these you still may have a bad time as killer. The big thing that you need to decide is if you're going for a win or to play before you queue. Obviously this doesn't mean you're trying to lose but picking legion over say nurse or wesker you'll be less likely to win. Perks also play into it but it's a lot of learned skill and what to do when people do certain things.
-
What i find that causes me to lose games (as survivor) or win games (as killer) more often than naught is people doing gens. If people aren't doing gens and decide to screw around or go for flashy saves you're almost a detriment to the team. If you don't get the save or get hit you've wasted time and set up the next chase.
Also could argue the Gens you do are important as well. Breaking a nasty 3-gen early can be the difference to winning and losing. -
-They hear the nurse blink sound and leave.
-They get downed first and leave/1st hook die.
-They see a Skull merchant drone and leave.
probably see a DC or 1st hook death at least 40-50% of the time no matter what killer i'm playing -

I get why you’re doing it. You wanna put new maps up so that people get more opportunities to play on it. Youre promoting a new chapter, it’s understandable. The problem is your RNG or whatever it is you do to boost them is way too much. Playing with friends this weekend, in the same day, out of 16 matches we got the new map 13 times. We only stopped getting it when we started taking map offerings for other maps. That was only one day, same thing kept happening over several days of playing the new chapter.
We are legit burned out and tired of the new map and don’t wanna play on it anymore and it’s only been out for like a week right?
Boosting maps is just causing faster burnout and in some cases, leads to backlash about it. If you wanna give people an opportunity to play on new maps more often just increase the number of its map offerings in the bloodweb and let them choose to bring it. IMO of course.
Honestly I’ll be happy if I don’t see the new map again for a month.
why is the new map boost a problem? If you're burnt out of the game i don't think it's map related because i see survivors staple autohaven keys into their offerings and not complain one bit about the same maps. The map boost is to make it easier to get the new achievement on the map and see/learn the new map.

The perks never state this, but it seems when you die, or escape, Perks like Blast Mine, Wiretap, Boons, etc all deactivate, when the benefits should stay active, as the perks only provide the means to get the benefits, like a boon or a trapped gen.
Example: I have CoH, I die, the CoH boon disappears instead of staying to aid the rest of the survivors until the Killer kicks itYou're technically out of the game so why should your perks stay active?
-
there's like 2-3 hooks in the underground area but they're super far from each other. Also the 3-4 gen outside is kind of ridiculous sometimes.
-
I've not ran into much sabo plays since the release.

I think we do not need another survivor sided map considering how poorly the map is because there are 3 generators in the bottom of the dungeon and sometimes it’s bad for killer because you can get lost and stuck and have no idea where to go there shouldn’t be 3 generators down there plus there is a void where survivors can lose you in chase they go in main building and abuse it goin in and out of it.
Here's how you win as killer. Don't go into the dungeon, the gens above ground are ridiculous for a 3-4 gen.

True. On top, there is a pretty deadly 3gen around the shack. Just let them finish the dungeon ones and protect the ones outside. I dont get how this 3gen went live.
I noticed a similar trend with the movie theater map as well. Pretty wild 3-4 gen area. Not as bad as some swamp maps i've played though.

And you'd be stomped by the new map forgotten ruins, oh well
I don't think i've had any exit gate escapes on that map and i've played it probably 20+ times as killer. Multiple killers as well not just one. It's super easy for people to just 3-gen themselves there.
-
It was a lot of fun, probably why they extended the mode. Really wish it were still around. better than dealing with the meta perk builds everyone runs.
-
It's because it's in the entities realm not where it was in the movie/comics. I also don't think they wanted to do another indoor only map.

or rather rank re-sweats. First day of reset is always the same thing. Killers tunneling, camping, slugging x10, and survivors either giving up on first hook or urban evasioning around map letting teammates die.
How many days is a good time frame to wait for things to settle?
no point in waiting, your grade (ash-Iri) isn't how matchmaking works anymore. It hasn't worked like that for a while now.
-
It's from buying the full chapter not just her with shards. They always give an alternative shirt/top for characters when you buy the dlc with money. Only exceptions are some licensed ones.
-
A blight running super sweaty perks with double iri add-ons saying "ggez".
-
Is it playable as survivor... Hmmm.. less point gains, less interactive stuff to do, solo que hell... I feel you need to be mentally prepared to lose 90% of the time and just play to play now. Your chances of escaping are pretty slim but i guess that's the game.
-
But that's the point of the blindness, to make you not see auras.
-
The killer is fine for the most part, just repeatedly seeing any killer will make you feel that way. Though there isn't really ever much variation anymore in killers. Usually only see Nurse, blight, wesker, huntress, unknown now.

Slinger isn't really fine. The punishment for missing (or even hitting) is way too significant.
When Pyramid Head's ability was made fairer in chase, his cooldowns were reduced, Slinger didn't really get such a thing.
He needs a bigger Survivor collision hitbox (keep the environment one the same), because you have cases when the spear literally phases through Survivors.
I mean that is the entire point of him though, shooting is small risk but gives a pretty big reward for a hit. You'll always put someone from health to deep wounds on a spear hit regardless of if you actually hit them with an attack or snap the chain. His reload speed was reduced a little while ago.
-
trickster got a speed buff and slinger is fine mostly. You can shoot throw most tiny holes in things and pull people around loops. Car loops are almost useless against him. Trickster is in a weird spot i'll agree with that though.
-
That sounds like an issue on your end, i've had a little bit higher latency but that's about it. If you get dc'd because servers time out you don't get a penalty as far as i know. I've also played for multiple hours a day for a few days in a row during the event.
-
I've noticed it a bit, not a whole lot but more than usual. been hitting the corners of walls mostly when swinging at survivors that would be an obvious hit.
