A straw man is a common form of argument and is an informal fallacy based on giving the impression of refuting an opponent's argument, while actually refuting an argument that was not presented by that opponent. One who engages in this fallacy is said to be "attacking a straw man."Nickeh said:@DwightsLifeMatters said:

For the love of God, stop saying "straw man", especially when half the time it's not even the correct use of the term.

true... a day or so really won't matter.. most hardcore players will still have the teachables and perks going on other character a few hours afterwards anyways.
You could have close to 2 mil anyways on a release day. With 4 dailies and then the shrine blood points if you got shards.
Yeah, the issue is I get rarely Dailys with more than 30k points, how about you? I got one mori daily with 60k points within a whole month.
Yeah could trade with shards, but that's a bad trade to do lol. If would do it if I get 1 million BP for one 1k shards -
One day I tunneled the living ######### out of a Laurie who kept 99% every hook to deny me hooking people. If one guy does it I tunnel them out of my match so I can play normally the rest of my match. The issue comes with swf sabo squads, really annoying to verse.Peanits said:Sounds like an easy escape to me. That gives the other survivors plenty of time to finish generators while the downed guy slowly crawls to an exit gate. Then you either gotta' pick them up while three people bodyblock or watch them crawl out.
Personally I would just chase the guy sabotaging and hook them so they can't break the hooks, that seems way more productive.
Do you watch YouTube content of DbD? Take a look into Marth88's or montos sabo squads video. Quite funny to watch but I can feel the pain and suffering of the Killers who versed them. -
Killer idea sounds interesting, but I don't like the intention to give one Killer exclusively to counter hatch. Every killer should be able to counter/win the hatch standoff so it would be just a band-aid fix in my eyes

People need to study what the word exploit actually means. Pressing R is a fight against your flashlight timing. If you time it perfectly pressing R won't help (happened by myself).
-
@Fenrir how do you think this should work once all gens are done? You are pretty much asking for 100% escape chance no matter how far away you hooked someone from the exit gates
-
Do you ever encountered a no mither swf sabo squad? They already can make your killer gameplay a hell. This doesn't need a buff, it already got buffed recently.
Imagine the killer can deny you from doing gens for 2 minutes.
Both are objectives, denying doing them how SWF's can do it is unhealthy for DbD -
Leatherface breaks pallets fast, has the ability to insta down and stuff like hook rushing is absolutely deadly. With addons and perk combos like fury+enduring he's really dangerous. The only thing I hate is the long stun time, the slow down if you charge and the weird M2 mechanic.
I personally see Leatherface better than freddy, pig and doctor. -

Don't use crutch perks like NOED.
Once you have DH 3 stacks it's already over for the survivors, so it doesn't matter.
But it's absolutely fine that at least 50% of survivors are running Adrenaline, the survivor equivalent, right?
Nice strawman. Wanna talk about the weather while you are already on it to go offtopic?
What strawman? NOED is a counter to adrenaline, one of the most popular perks. If you don't bring NOED they will probably get away thanks to Adrenaline. The two perks are inherently linked. Telling killers to not use NOED is basically just telling them to accept that if the survivors power the gates then they are entitled to a victory then and there even though the match isn't over yet.

THIS is what we really need. Testing complete different stuff and going full in with changes. Why? It's just a PTB, we test this one week. After that, even if it's trash we still gained new knowledge about what works and what not.

I was 100% serious. You are (or your mentally is) part of the big problem we have with games.
ridiculous ... the game costs 19.99 and many play it for hundreds or even thousands of hours. 2 € £ $ for a dlc does not kill you. what a joke ... first world problems
It's not about 2$, it's about the principal. I already own it. But promoting any kind of pay2win (I dare anyone saying BBQ is not meta perk) is stupid and unhealthy and if you don't get it I can't help you out. Sadly, the majority speaks louder and especially in this game the majority are casuals
You do realize that everyone that pays for these DLCs are paying for your game to be developed, right?
Why people don't understand this is beyond me. You know where DbD would have been if NOBODY bought DLCs or cosmetics?
Underdeveloped as [BAD WORD], they would not have enough money to keep supporting the game and would eventually stop patching it because they have no obligation to keep doing so other then game breaking bugs. No balance changes, no new characters, no new perks (all these things require people, and people expect to get paid for developing games).
Not to mention, no licenced content whatsoever.
We would never get to see dedicated servers, this part of the game will be fully paid for by DLC and Cosmetic purchases as well as the base game.
DLCs and cosmetics in this game are reasonably priced in this game as well, and we get new killers and new content every couple months.
This is ALL thanks to the people you say are causing a problem with games. Behaviour is one of the least predatory game companies out there at the moment.

@Nickenzie the issue is, the Killer HAS to pressure the survivors to even stand a chance and slugging (especially the obsession) is one of the most important things to keep the momentum high. With a medkit it would be to easy to take all the momentum away a killer created.
Imagine you slug the DS guy and he can get up by its own at least 2 times (medkit and unbreakable). This makes DS in swf groups even stronger and you already have issues to deal with coordinated genrush.
But I like the idea of healing faster and up 99% with medkit. But not getting up by his own, one survivor should get someone up for the momentum -
Do you mean beeing optimal with the resources? Yeah, normal thing verses good players. I do that as survivor and I face that as killer. A much more prevalent issue is survivors losing everything when a killer rage quits. They are actually LOSING what they earned. You're complaining about something you may not have even gotten in the first place.

Survivors DC usually if you downed them. There is nothing more to earn than walking some steps and hitting spacebar to get your stack. And BP doesn't change anything about the match so don't bring up how easy it is after survivors dc.
Also this would go both ways, a survivor who DCs could give WGLF stacks or just simply all if a killer DCs.
Also, survivors don't lose anything if the killer DCs. In fact, they get 5k escaping points
Second, survivors DC all the time, not just when they get downed. So if one survivor dies early, another DCs and then the remaining two say "F this" and then DC, you think you should be handed double bloodpoints just for free? All that does is further reward killers who camp first hook when survivors refuse to play against them.
Also, no, survivors often lose offerings, items, addons and all BP when killers disconnect. Shows how out of touch you are.
I clearly said that the most survivors DC AFTER YOU DOWNED THEM, THERE IS NO SKILL REQUIRED FOR THE LAST STEPS AKA TO PICK UP AND HOOK.
And if someone DCs early, you probably haven't got any points from him anyway, so the stack is not impacting the outcome BP at the end that much.
Pease just stop, you are just making yourself looking like a fool if you continue.
Bloody insane how people need to disagree about every single thing you post in this forum, even about topics like this where the gameplay balance isn't touched at all and noone gets any harm but it only benefits everyone.

Thanks for the detailed informations, very very interesting to read that. Have you studied this?
Also, how about using AutoHotKey, would this apply aswell?I get your asking cause of macro'ing....
There is many things EAC is watching as mentioned above. One thing they are watching is the Messaging being sent from Windows to DBD. Basically they monitor those messages to see "where" those messages are coming from.
So if you had 2 ways to perform macros... One using your mouse driver software and the other AutoHotKey.
AutoHotKey is an actual Window program that has a scripting language built in it to do whatever you programmed it to do. AutoHotKey itself probably rarely changes. EAC could monitor those changes and update itself fairly easy to keep up with it.
If you had a wiggle macro using AutoHotKey and you turned it on. AutoHotKey then sends those mouse / button presses through the Windows messaging system to DBD. EAC then see those messages in DBD and says... Where did they come from? EAC would be able to see those messages were injected by a 3rd Party app called.... "whatever".... Then it looks at the "whatever" program and marks it suspect and then tries to figure out what it is.... After awhile it could then flag it as a "hack" and bang.. banned.
Say if you used a macro through your mouse driver software for wiggle. Your mouse driver manufacture isn't going to design the app to have different ways to send windows messages based on if the button press was done through a macro or physically using the device. So when the driver sends in the wiggle presses to DBD, EAC says.. Where did those messages come from? Oh.. They came from the driver. Those are legit. Cause EAC isn't going to mark your mouse driver as suspect cause they could potentially ban 1000s of customers just for using a certain brand of mouse.
If AutoHotKey was a Java app... It would still have issues being seen cause it needs to send Window messages to DBD to facilitate the button presses of your macro. So even if someone did their own custom design of AutoHotKey, EAC would still see the messages coming from an external 3rd party program that isn't your keyboard or mouse driver. EAC would then probably start watching it and maybe even flag it as a "hack".
I hope that answers what you were looking for.
Btw no offense mods, it's not your job. I find it just funny -

My advice: learn to play billy and nurse, watch good killer like tru3. Sometimes you need to jump on Nurse and slaughter survivors just so you can take the suffering of low tier killers.
