To be honest? The basement hook sucks, most survivors who get hooked there also tend to believe that they'll be camped as well. Which..can be fair, that's really the only blind spot hook in the whole game, you can't see what's going on at all, the most you can say is "they just ran upstairs."
I got called a camper once because I hooked a person in the basement and I went to put bear traps around the shack window and door. After the match, they called me a camper. I told them what I did and they're response was just "oh."

BrokenSoul kinda hit the nail on the head as to how to play as him. Being too reliant can be detrimental to him, try to do it when you believe it's safe, pallets, windows, holes, you get the idea.

Just a suggestion simply because this is the only time ive heard of this issue happening to anyone. I've been playing a ton of Nemesis and i haven't had that issue once. Just want to make sure it's not a file issue is all.
Okay fair enough. I've actually had it happen to me once, my theory is that it just mis-reads the code's 45 second spawn timer for the zombies as 4,500 seconds.

Like they take a protection hit for an already contaminated survivor or use a zombie as a free sprint burst?

Wait what? How.. does that apply? It's an error in the game code, verifying or reinstalling won't do much, it's hard coded into it, so just a bug like the cosmetic issue. Verifying or reinstalling is like reinstalling the bug, it's still gonna be there

Joking aside, it's difficult. He's not S tier like Spirit or Nurse, yeah he's gonna struggle a bit against them. But, to me he feels pretty decent, but.... if Bhvr wants to be a homie and remove the contamination sprint burst, I'd be happy..

Losing the one killer you loved most is not easy.
I'm a Nemesis main now, I watched my family play the games so I grew up with him. But, Leatherface is what brought me into truly playing killer and absolutely love it. If they for some unknown godforsaken reason removed him, I would genuinely be sad, he was my favorite slasher, and Jason will most likely will never be added to, so.. it'd feel like crap. I also grew up watching Friday the 13th, hell. That movie is why 13 is my luck number

Well. Some of the hate that's mentioned does have actual evidence. I won't lie however, there are things done that genuinely makes me upset as well, but most of those are accidents that will be hashed out. The others though? That's kinda hard to defend. But, Bethesda... a game company I used to love is doing it worse and is showing no signs of change. I still see some hope. But, right now I like to believe I'm understandably nettled at most.

I was never supportive of his rework, to be honest. Back in 2019, I knew they were going to do something bad, but the lonely voice of an Old Freddy main had little power to stop those changes.
The main thing the devs needed to do was to revert his initial nerf, the one which happened a week after his release. That unnecessary nerf, in my honest opinion one of the worst decisions ever, was what transformed a strong and viable killer into the """""bad""""" Old Freddy that most of us know.
The solution was right there, and they did not go for it.
Yeah, that's true. No arguments here, but personally for me, I think it would be neat if he could still do some minor things as well. Like snares or pallets, but the big thing is when he pulls you in. As I told BrokenSoul, I miss the feeling of just all of a sudden I feel completely exposed out of no where.

I meant how it doesn't feel like Freddy anymore, he's just an over tweaked normal m1 killer who can teleport and trick survivors. That's nothing special. Old Freddy pulled you into his world, which made you feel vulnerable. Made you feel truly exposed.
You didn't see or hear him and all of the sudden, you've become his prime target. I miss that now, I wish they could have done more with that instead of just turning him into a normal m1 killer.

Yes I have been and no. They were never like that. Most of the hate was killers who won't kill people with the charm or survivors who use the charm as an escape goat. As Pulsar said himself, they were rather civil. Plus, I don't think the person who made this meme was intentionally being homophobic. I personally think he just made the meme from scratch and went with it.

To be fair, the only way to learn is to practice with them, which just seems like throwing them willy nilly. Since the main item they're based off of are limited edition event items. So, they're not exact common until now

Licenses that have a link are fine. It's weird that Leatherface wasn't the exception at first then became the exception. For those who don't know, his cosmetic was linked at first than wasn't. That feels weird, but we'll assume it's the license holders having a change of heart.
Konami sucks with their stuff. I apologize for speaking these dreaded words, but they truly do. Their games are fun, but when it comes to giving their content to someone else to use, they're very very strict on the idea.
Capcom is... weird. They're a mix bag of loose and strict at times, I've mainly seen lose, but I'll take the word of the devs and say they decided for their cosmetics to be linked.
Legendary links are fine.
Everything else? Get rid of it. You're forcing people to spend more money for a hat that they want.

A tip that helps is to treat him like Huntress, you know how Huntress punishes you for being cocky at normally safe spots? Yeah. You do the same for him, besides that. It's fine, if he only uses his tentacle on you it would take tree hits instead of the normal one or two. Which in the public's view, is pretty dog [BAD WORD].
Also yeah, his tentacle breaking pallets is stupid fast...
I lied. Breaking a pallet normally takes 2.6 seconds. His tentacle is 3.
